They were rude from the start and I had to wait for the kids mom to come over and do the paper work. I declined the insurance when I booked online and I heard her tell her son to add it then when I said I didn't wait it she said that was a UHaul Issue and I would have to take it up with UHaul. This was a 4x8 trailer rental only and she told me that I only had 164 free miles and that anything over would be a charge of 99 cents a mile. I told her it was a trailer rental and should be a 2 day rental with unlimited miles according to website. She again told me that's was something I would need to take up with UHaul not her. She also put this note in the system for my rental about charging me mileage after 164 miles. The ladies name was Tammy Jones. Not a great experience and I would never pick up from this location again or recommend them to anyone.andrew S.
Only two complaints. First, I knew there was a U-Haul location in North Manchester, Indiana but for some reason I was not given the option of returning the truck there. Note, this is an issue with U-Haul and not with the local dealer. Second, the driver's side mirror would not stay in position. It would fold in towards the truck as I was driving.ANDREW R.
Truck was on empty. Cab floor was dirty food and candy crumbs. Windows were dirty. I returned the truck with gas and was thanked.BERNARD H.
Ratchets were rusted and barely able to move. Had to apply lubricant to get them to move, so we could use the car hauler. Showing complete lack of/very little maintenance on trailer. Location and workers did not show me the trailer or offer to help hitch it to my tow vehicle. When I asked if there needed to be pictures, they said no. Any other location we have been to, the employee hitches for you and takes pictures for proof of proper attachment. Very dissatisfied with the whole experience. Will NOT recommend this location to anyone!Jennifer S.

Since January 2021 I have rented from U-Haul 6 times, twice from the Sandusky location. After the 1st encounter, which took us 1 hour and 45 minutes to pick up a moving truck, I said never again but this last time I figured why not. I live 4 blocks from the location and how bad could it be this time??? Now I'm back to never again. Took 20 minutes and one phone call to a very unhelpful DM Devin to pull up and print my paperwork. The tongue of trailer was sitting on the ground and my daughter and I lifted it up to place it on the ball the lock would not engage. While my daughter walked back to the building to get help I hooked up the chains and lights. The guy who came out fiddled around and finally said there you go, it's all hooked up. From where I was standing I could see daylight between the ball and the tongue. At that time I walked over, picked it up, lifted it off the ball and said I don't think so. It's not a good sign when the customer knows more than the employee. I'm looking at buying a trailer.KIMBERLY IRENE N.

When I picked up the truck it had a 1/4 tank of gas and was told bring it back with a 1/4 tank. Not a good system should be picked up with full tank and dropped off with full tank. I ended up bringing it back with a 1/2 tank I ended up losing that gas.WALTER EDWARD P.

The reservation went pretty smooth, my husband had to buy an electrical adaptor for the lights as our electrical hookup for our camper was different. Uhaul does have a long standing habit of making their equipment be just a bit different so that there always has to be more equipment or adaptors purchased, like the ball size and now the electric hookup. that is not appreciated. we got the job done that we needed to and returned the trailer in plenty of time.LYNN ALAN F.

The owner of this location helped me out late in the the day on a Sunday and made sure I got the trailer I needed. He went out of his way giving directions and suggestions on how to get loaded and on my way. He even called U-Haul to make sure I got the advertised price.Robert R.
