Had arranged pick up time. No one at pickup time there when I arrived. Someone arrived 15 minutes later after I called phone number. By that time 3 of us were waiting. Not a big issue for me, but could have been for others. Excellent service once staff person got there. Something I did not realize that could be a problem: trailer I rented had no hitch jack, yet recommended (and required so as not to bounce) minimum 150 lb hitch weight - too much to lift safely. So when I stopped and had to unhitch for a while, had to borrow a jack. If you are only hitching and unhitching while trailer is empty, not a problem, but If unhitching/hitching loaded, you’ll need a jack. Was surprised no jack attached. This was for 5x8 trailer. For a bigger trailer even hitching empty might be a problem.

The U-Haul let all of the rain in over my drive. Completely ruined my television. Do a better job water proofing your boxes. Pathetic. Customer service was great no complaints about the location. More a complaint about the equipment as a whole.

I had a drop off location in Revelstoke BC and upon drop off, they told me that they don’t have space for the tow dolly. I contacted customer service they said you have to go in another city for the drop off. It was super annoying and no help from customer service. I had to go to another city and drop it off which wasted my another day.

The van was in good working condition but the cab hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Pretty dirty, dust, dirt, coffee stains in the console etc. Also the gas tank is not full when you pick it up. You have to bring it back with whatever was in it. In our case it was between 1/2 a tank and 3/4. Trying to guess how many litres to put in to bring it up to the pickup amount , before drop off was a pain. Add I ended up falling short and paying more per litre for U-Haul to top it up. Seems like a cash grab. Should be a full tank at pickup to avoid this.

I return the 6x12 trailer a day before the date I supposed to return it because I unload my stuff earlier. When I called the uhaul in Whitehorse Yukon if I can get a refund if I refurn it one day advance, he said Yes. So even I was so tired, I drove to Whitehouse only to find out that I can't get any refund because it is a considered as 24 hours rental. I rented it fir 3 days but I finished it only in 2 days. But I just shut my mouth because maybe that lady doesn't know what she is doing. Anyway, this is my second time I'm using Uhaul. I will still keep using it if I move again.

The Whitehorse staff are incredible! When I messed up our vehicle booking they wirked creatively to find a solution right there in the moment. They also were patient and understanding and definitely the easiest part of our move! Thank you SO much!

I had booked a 5x8 trailer. A couple of days before I was to pick up the trailer I attended the location to see if a smaller trailer would be suitable. I asked the agent to change it to a 4x8. He advised me that it would be $650. I told him to leave it. I then went to my car and changed the reservation online and was charged $155. Not sure if this was deliberate or not, but it left me with doubt. Pickup was smooth.

This is not their fault, but I was not informed that when I chose the drop off location that this was only “preferred”. Uhaul changed my drop off location without telling me. This was not fair and created difficulties for me. I get the impression I am not the only one this has happened to. We did the pick up in person, so they should have told me that the drop off location I had chosen, and that was printed on my contract, was likely to change and had, in fact, had changed. I received no phone calls or texts or emails informing me of the change and only found out when I called in to drop off the vehicle.

The cube truck that was rented had serious issues with the steering shaking and being difficult to turn. This was reported to the people when the vehicle was returned after the 12 hour highway trip and they said they knew about it from the previous rental but had not addressed the problem. This is a very dangerous issue at highway speeds. Clearly the staff maintaining the vehicles are a liability to the company. My business will not use them in the future...I'm concerned about staff safety and they have been told this.
