the man was rude, improperly hooked up the chains on the trailer, and repeatedly told me it was the only trailer available in the area, that I could take it or leave it....this was some tire company, not even a regular UHaul location...it was in a very dirty, unsafe area of town.Brenda C.

Since we did a one way trip. It wouldve been easier if we couldve dropped off our uhaul truck at a closer location. It was pretty far where we were assigned to drop it off. That was my only concern. Everything else was good.sherri M.

When I rented the truck no mileage was confirmed with me. I was only asked an estimate of miles I would be driving. When I got in the truck I wrote the current mileage down. It was at 72213. When I took the truck back it was at 72248. My original estimate was 20miles which meant I went an extra 15 and knew I would have to pay the $15 extra $0.99/mile). Not a problem. But then the guy tells me I went 40 miles so I got charged $20 instead of $15. I thought maybe my math was just off or whatever but when I looked at the receipt it should the mileage as starting at 72208. There was no point in saying anything because from the beginning the mileage was never officially told to me even though i had written down. I'm not worried about the extra $5 dollars. But I do hope this is looked into so that other customers are not getting ripped off. I will not be going back to this rental site after what they pulled.Rebecca W.

The truck was brand new with only 3K miles on it. It was not cleaned out from the previous renter. There were styrofoam to-go containers behind the drivers seat FILLED WITH MOLD on top of rotted food! There were nuts, trash and dog food all over the floor and seats. The dashboard was broken and would not open so I was unable to charge my phone over a multi state drive. Once I cleaned out the truck and sprayed antibacterial everyone, it was fine. It is a shame that such new truck in overall great condition was left so incredibly dirtied with trash and food.cassidy T.

Very dissatisfied with whole rental. Vehicle was very low on power steering/power brakes fluid. Location sent me to another location. Didn't offer to compensate my time and mileage. Talked to another rep on Sunday. She said someone would call me back. (Still nothing a week later). She also said she would not charge me for an extra day. (They charge me for an extra day anyway when I brought it to the drop off location he said he couldn't do nothing to help.) Left another attempt in email form explaining this and still have not heard back.Abraham W.

I have spent thousands at UHaul over the past few years and I am so disappointed at my experience in Bakersfield. I dropped off the UHaul I left 3 broken down U haul boxes in it and the blankets. I left no trash and they charged me a $25 cleanup fee. I have bought all of my supplies from UHaul, locks, packing boxes, TV BOXES, mirror boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap and mattress bags. I also rented on line a 26 foot truck and 2 dozen blankets and the movers. The UHaul Center was out of blankets so I had to drive to another location to get them but I don't see anyone reimbursing me for my gas or time. I am making another big move in 13 days and do not know if I'm using UHaul or not. I'm very irritated!!!!!!!Patrick L C.

The truck cab was dirty. The truck made an annoying sound periodically--was it an alarm that told us we were going too fast? Was it a mechanical problem? There was no information about this sound.Michael G.

No place to leave the keys after hours. We called the national number who said to take it to another location, they were not helpful,We found a mail slot ( we think) and put the keys in there. No instructions. No room for the trucks to leave. I would not recommend this location.MARGARET E.

The young man was very helpful and accommodating. A credit to the U-Haul organization. He switched us to a larger vehicle after asking if we knew that the 10' truck did not have a ramp. He apologized that the 15' truck that he had wasn't clean yet. We were fine with it, and more interested in remaining on our time schedule.May M.
