I have rented GMC Savana truck for 4 hours and driven it for 44kms, I filled 15 liters of gas to return with full tank, which means hardly 3kms/ltr, this is very bad...I am not sure whether they are renting trucks with full gas tank..Venkata T.

Store owner provided outstanding service. However, he is the only reason I would ever rent from U-Haul again. The U-Haul rental system online was unable to release the truck to me when I went to pick it up. It took an hour and a half of phone calls and online searches and chat messaging with your support team and he was still unable to get the system to release the truck. Between us we agreed to a workaround completely outside the Uhaul system. Had he listened to your online support representative, I would not have had a truck at all. Also, although the gas gauge read full when I took the truck, when I filled the truck up to bring it back, it obviously had NOT been full. I only drove 43 km but had to put in almost 20 Liters to bring it back to full. You need a better system for calculating how much gas was used. Either that, or you have to be sure a tank is full when the truck goes out. And of course, your system does not provide a means of refunding the extra gas I purchased over and above what I used. There was an extra charge for the fuel, which shouldn`t be done since I put enough gas just before parking the van at the drop off place. Unfortunately I didn`t confirmed it with the owner, who was busy at his store and promised to email me the bill later. When I found that there is a extra charge for the fuel, I made a phone call and was told that I returned van with the less amount of gas then I supposed to - which is not true. Not a big money, but this kind of little scams don`t make a good impression. So, to avoid being overcharged, check everything with the owner before you leave the store. So far this location was the worst experince of using uhaul for more than 20 times.Denis A.

I requested for 9:00 AM and got a call that cannot deliver on requested time. The agent was not at all supporting and was not even willing to park the car at the desired location and asked me to repark the car for him at his desired place. Van had damage, looked it wasn't washed since it was purchased. Garbage inside that I had to clean out before my friend got in. It was filthy. Advertised $19.99/day, then the $15 insurance - I'm fine that that. Then the mileage charges and full tank of gas for a van that looked, felt and smelled like homeless people rent it at night. Never again. Worst rental experience solely because the van was disgusting. For $85 - cheap to rent on a minivan on Turo that is clean.Jordan L.

I logged online and completed the mobile pickup but once i arrived i could not do mobile pickup at the location. the dealer did not know i was there to rent and i had to wait 30 minutes for him to do a return and then complete the paperwork also he did not have the furniture dolly that i had ordered online. i had to complete all the information i already did online again in store. The vehicle had the yellow engine light on and the tire needed to be inflated. this has been my worst uhaul rental that i have donechristine D.

The truck had a warning light saying rear right tire was low - I was told not to worry. I explained I needed to return the truck 1 day later. I was told "that's ok, there will be no extra charge". I was then charged $172 rather than $106. $19.95/day? Nope. Apparently the truck was due back by 11 a.m. Sunday. I was not told anything about 11 a.m. That was news to me. also truck had 1/4 of a tank when I picked it up so I had to immediately fill it up.Michael H.

THe gas level was wrong and there was a conflict with the gas level and I did not receive my daily discount which was one day regular rate 150 km and 89 dollars and two days at the rate of 19.95 per day instead I was charged for 3 days at 89 dollars per day. I booked and online showed .49km As below, copied from the booking: Rental Equipment Reservation: 24045943 9 9' Cargo van: $19.95 plus $0.49 /kilometer (Due in store) But the emailed confirmation and the bill was at .59/km I had not checked the emailed confirmation since I had the online page showing .49. When the vehicle is returned, make sure it is put back into the same system at that time. I did not need the vehicle for as long as anticipated, so I wound up returning it at 5pm yesterday, instead of 11pm. Instead of it being logged back into the system, it was entered that I never returned it until this morning at just after 8 am. I don't think that that was very fair especially considering I returned while the store was still open.Tanya P.

They were a bit insistent on me purchasing the insurance after I declined it. I originally wanted to rent a utility trailer (6x12)but none are available in my area so I got a truck insted but my ithem is too wide for the door opening and I could not move it. I paid over $50 and accomplished nothing but waisting time.
