They added $14 SafeMove coverage to my rental when I picked up the vehicle. I saw this 10 minutes after leaving the location with the truck and called them about it. They were rude and said they didn't know anything about it, all they did was hit print. I called U-Haul customer service today to have that $14 charge reversed and the woman on the phone looked up and confirmed that they added it at the pick up location when they were printing out my rental agreement. I'm getting money back thanks to your customer service representative, who was very nice and helpful, but I had to wait 55 minutes on the phone today to speak with someone. The previous year I rented from a location in Baltimore who overcharged me over double the miles I actually put on. I had taken pictures of the mileage when I picked up and dropped off the vehicle so customer service also refunded me the overcharge that time but it's two years in a row that U-Haul locations have tried to screw me out of money with fraudulent charges and I am beyond pissed off. I will never rent from U-Haul again, even if it cost significantly more to rent from a competitor. I have moved almost every year for the past 12 years and you have lost my business for life!TREVOR H.

This was the second location for the truck pick-up. I had scheduled a pick-up at Charm City Auto, 4381 Hollins Ferry Rd, Halethorpe, MD 21227, for a 20 foot truck, and when I got there they had NO trucks and all the woman that worked there did to help was all corporate. She had no idea that there was a truck rental/pick-up for that day. The man at Twin Rivers Auto was much more helpful and friendly and did his best to make sure we got what we needed. I would never recommend the Charm City Auto location to anyone and was very upset with their lack of concern and knowledge.John T.

I hesitated to pull into this shop because it resembled more of a run down lot than a drop off location. The owner of the repair shop was very nice, the back half of his lot is rented out to somebody else so that may be why it looks off.Patryk K.

We filled more gas than we used and they still charged us for gas. We called to discuss this with the location and the guy who answered the phone refused to help us. I rented two trucks here and specifically stated not to include the insurance multiple times. On one truck I was overcharged and never refunded what I was told I would be. On the other truck the gentleman at the front desk was beyond rude and aggressive. I told me multiple times I had to call uhaul on a mistake they made. I was going through a really rough time during the need for a moving truck and they really made my life even more difficult. Their customer service was horrible and I will never do business with that specific location. I've been treated with dignity as a human at other locations. I'm a small business owner and would never treat other people like I was treated there. I hold nothing against uhaul but would address their lack of not just customer service and teach them that they represent uhaul and no one knows what another is going through before treating another human being like trash. They charged me multiple times and wouldn't give me a refund. The receipt says everything should be $48 I was charged $123. They had me register the appointment online I paid online and then for some reason they ran my card again in store and now I have a pending charge for $123. I tried to call customer service and no one will pick up the phone. That location was the worst dealership I've ever been to their scam artist. I didn't even know U-Haul had third-party carriers. I'm currently disputing the charges with my bank I will not be using the service anytime soon. Worst most dirtiest place I've ever been to the truck was garbage as well and almost broke down on us. Staff had no idea what they we're doing. We drove to drop off location and it was a gas station, the lady told me to just drop the uhaul by the dumpster and leave. I didn't feel comfortable so I called costumer service, while I was waiting on hold she came out to find me to tell me she couldn't check in the trailer. If I would have left I would have been fucked. So I told costumer and they found another drop off location. I drove it there and dropped it off. When I called costumer service the next day you tell them about my experience, they told me I was going to be charged a wrong destination fee and that the trailer hadn't been checked in. So I had to wait till the next day to call the drop off location to ask them to check in the trailer. They we're incredibly rude. The most stressful part of my move wasn't driving 2000 miles, it was fighting uhaul to take their damn trailer back. I don't ever plan on using uhaul, I'd rather walk 2000 miles dragging a sled filled with all my shit while barefoot then step foot in a uhaul store. Fuck uhual, use literally any other moving service. Fucking FedEx all your shit to the next place, it would be easier.Tyler C.
There was an item on my contract (hand cart) that was not noticed before I left with the truck and for which I had to return to get. There was also an item on the contract (furniture cart) that I did not select and was not in the truck at pick up. I was not given a written copy of the contract at pick up. When I returned the truck the next day I was asked were is the furniture cart. I was told I paid for both. I am asking for a refund. ICarl P.
