Ratchets on the toe dolly were seized due to road crap from the toe vehicle. Not avoidable this time of year but they could have had some lube sprayed on them.

The truck had been smoked in, and it stank. The guy who had rented it and smoked in it should have been changed $1000 extra for ruining the truck. I hate smoking and had to put up with that foul stink, and had to pay for that experience.

Some signs to indicate where the main office was, customer parking. Current signs difficult to see when driving in to the store from Hwy 20.

The moving truck was only 1/4 full, so before we could do our move we had to fill it up. The interior windows were all dirty, not just recent dirt. We could not see through the window and had to clean them ourselves. The passenger window wiper was worn out so it would only partially wipe the window making ti difficult to see out. Simple maintenance checks should be performed before sending the truck out again.

Booked a truck one month in advance and was give a location 30km away to pick up the day before... was promised 50 free kms then charged 20 dollars more than the quote? Refilled with 15 and was charged 28 extra (45 in gas for a 1way trip? Got ripped off for almost 50 dollars. Would not recommend to anyone ever, hidden costs, unfulfilled deals, charges for gas above what was used. Terrible.

Regular maintenance on windshield wipers would be appreciated by your patrons. Very dangerous driving home from Niagara Falls in a snow storm. Wipers would not clean properly leaving me to make frequent stops to wipe clean. I left at 5pm and arrived at your Barton and Nash location at 6:50 pm. Almost 2 hours for a 40 minute trip. I had called your roadside assistance and was rerouted to a call service and then left on hold for over 10 minutes with no response. Despite all these roadblocks and anguish I experienced I managed to arrive safely....so please for the safety of others, focus on the state of your wipers on all your vehicles!!!!

I returned the truck after the location was closed and was really frustrated that the box to put the key in was nowhere to be found so I had to lock my key in the truck, basically there was no other option

I booked for Upper Wellington several weeks ago. The night before my booking, the location I booked was changed to Barton. This was a last minute change and the Distance was 20km+ each way (way out of my way).... payed more for kilometers and gas! Not a great experience with booking overall. Is the booking guaranteed? do I get the $50 you advertise about to customers? Please provide response. jpmuri@yahoo.ca

It's a very tight squeeze to get in and out of for customers. I booked at another place but it was closed so I was supposed to do the computer release but it wasn't working so I had to drive 20 min the other way to pick up the van. Not very efficient. The computer is always a challenge. Fix that

The storage unit I had received , the door was rusted up , difficult to open and shut the unit and the door was literally falling apart they said they would fix when I got it never was looked at !

After explaining the time that I needed the trailer, I was given an estimated contract amount. That changed after I brought it back after hours, as I had explained I would be doing. This resulted in a third more expense. Anyone renting from U-Haul should examine both the contract and the statements by the U Haul sales person. Make sure you absolutely understand what you are agreeing to and that the U Haul rep also understands. I have rented a similar unit from another U Haul location several times in the past and never encountered this situation.

I originally asked for a pickup truck and since it was snowing earlier and had stopped l called 5hours before pickup time to have your associates shovel, remove the snow from the bed of the pickup truck, upon arrival that was not done and all the pick up truck had mountains of snow in their beds which l complained to to your associates, and mentioned the fact that l called 5hours in advance before scheduled pickup to request they remove the snow from bed of the pickup truck bit they did not care at all and were cold about it . They ended up giving me a cargo van which was very inconvenient for me as it was not what l wanted for the job also It didn’t have snow tires and was sliding everywhere.

I rented a truck supposed to be 1-2 days (around $100) but when I lost the key and went there they wanted to charge $440. I was a little upset but thought they were going to pick it up then since I didnt have a key. I called and emailed for them to get the truck . Instead they didnt pick it up and let it sit to inflate the bill to over $1000. Excuse was that I didnt authorize the $440 yet they had all credit card info. When I finally went there to see why they hadnt picked it up 2 wks later, the manager was being polite and lent me a key to bring it in saying she would fix the bill when I brought in the truck and she didnt understand why everyone there was treating me badlly. When I returnedI was presented a $1000 bill for 13 days so I asked to speak to mgr again. She refused to change the bill at all and became nasty. When I argued the manager threw me out. I would never rent from Barton St Uhaul again. Terrible customer service, treated us like dirt.

This was my first experience renting U Haul. It was fantastic. Here is why : 1. Rates as advertised. This is the most important thing. No hidden fees to gauge customer. 2. Well maintained vehicle. 3. Courteous and professional staff. 4. Super easy and lightning fast check in and return. 5. SMS follow up. I liked this feature. 6. Stable on line reservation. No errors in the process. ie. - our system crashed, sorry, or misplaced online info. Suggestions - 1. little less scented cleaner in the van. 2. have the vehicle fitted with snow as winter approaches.
