The only thing I would suggest is that when I initially called the Newmarket office I thought we were picking the truck up there 404 an Davis dr. ... only to later find out when I have to change the day that I was actually picking the truck up at the Aurora office.. was not informed... in any event... all went well.. and thank- you uhaul.... ??

Service from your callcentre was brutal. They changed the location and timing of the pick up and drop off location. They hung up on me 2x when I questioned them. I will never again use your services .

Your policy on returning vehicle with 1/4 tank of gas is absolutely ridiculous. Is this a tactic to get the customer renting to spend more money on fuel than required. You pick up vehicle with a full tank you return vehicle with a full tank. End of story! Get with the program. I will never rent from your company again because of this.

I returned the car 40 mins before the return time, however, I received a call from the office the next day and been asked if I am returning the car. Also I had to ask them to clear the windshield from frozen snow once I received the car.

I'd start by having someone more friendly at the front desk. The truck was buried under snow and there was no shovel provided. The lady barely even showed me which truck I was supposed to get or where the customer parking was. Very bad customer service.

I am the President of a non-profit volunteer charity for kids and youth. We paid for and rented this truck from our own money to move gifts and food for a community breakfast for kids. I contacted your Uhaul service centre to complain on Saturday of the rental reporting issues with safety of truck. Rep was very lovely because to reach the Aurora location was impossible. Aurora location Gentleman at front was polite enough. I told him what I needed the truck for. It was snowing, -4. I was switched to a larger truck with a ramp. I asked does it have a lock I need to secure things inside he said 'yes'. I had to ask for a snow brush? it didn't reach the window!!! No explanation about vehicle was given and off we went. Upon driving and having to pickup items it began to snow. Windshield wiper was scraping metal and didn't work. Could not see very well. (have photos of that) Drivers door would not stay shut. Had to keep stopping and slamming door. Upon arrival at venue to get loaded back hatch wouldn't open. Jammed shut took three guys 45 minutes to open. Now behind schedule. Lock didn't work and key wouldn't fit. Also, ramp wouldn't come out. We managed with all the glitches to get through event. Saturday upon return the rep in Aurora checked all the things I reported. He managed to jiggle the ramp out, and said that everything was probably frozen. Door and wiper were an issue and he pulled vehicle for service. He was extremely pleasant and efficient and also compensated us for our grief. I had put gas into the vehicle before return. He commented for the distance that we drove the gas seemed off per kms. we hardly drove anywhere to consume that gas. He said I showed him the Km before and after and the gauge. He said it was off. He was very apologetic and lovely. I give that guy a 10! I will use Uhaul again, however you really should have your trucks winterized and circle checked. I worked in ministry transport for many years and driven large vehicles, thankfully I could manage other people may not have. They’ve overcharged me. By saying I did a certain amount of miles when the odometer was actually in km. I went from Aurora in Ontario to uxbridge in Ontario - it’s about 30km and I did that trip 5 times = about 150km. They charged me for 150 miles. Rip off.

I called in a reservation specifically for a 10AM pickup in Aurora for a cargo van. When I arrived, they told me the reservation was for 4:00PM. I needed the vehicle as soon as possible but the Aurora staff were not able to help. I called the uhaul 800 number. After dropping my call several times, they advised that the location in Bradford had a cargo van available, so they changed my reservation to the Bradford location for 11:45AM. I went to the Bradford location, but they did NOT have any cargo vans. HOWEVER, Amar Paul Parmar at the Bradford uhaul location was extremely helpful and was able to get me a reservation for a cargo van at the Aurora location for 2:00PM. I went back to the Aurora location at 2:00PM and the cargo van was there for me. Thank you Amar.

For renting a truck that I reserved in advance, and returning the truck, we had to go to the location 4 times, and each time just one staff was there for doing everything and it wasted my time.

We were scheduled to pick up the truck at 7 am at the Aurora location. It was not open. We waited outside the location for over 45 minutes, on the phone with head office who could not locate the manager or an employee to come and open up. Other customers arrived in the meantime. Finally, we were told by head office verification dept. that a truck was available at the Newmarket location and when we asked, she confirmed they would be able to give us the truck for the time we wanted. Absolutely no problem she said. It is now well over an hour later, we are paying 3 people to help us who are waiting and we have to drive to Newmarket to get a truck. When we arrive the gentleman was very nice but explained that he did not have a truck. It was scheduled to another customer. We suggested we take it and that customer could have the one sitting in Aurora assigned to us. He thought that would work and spent time trying to get hold of an employee from the Aurora location. Eventually he was able to speak with an employee who had come to open. So we had to drive back to Aurora! The staff member at the Aurora location was pleasant, efficient and accommodated our needs with a discount, larger truck and later return time. Up to that point, very frustrating. Two hours of wasted time as well as lost money to pay 3 people for wait time and our gas driving back and forth. We cannot believe that a company -does not have a plan in place if an employee is unable to show up for work (we asked the employee at the Aurora location what the process and he said there wasn't one!) -has a head office that cannot get in touch with the manager or person in charge of a location -has staff in a head office who promise a particular service when it cannot be delivered (quite obviously done to get us off the phone and passes the issue off to an employee at the location) -expects customers to problem solve the situation -presents as a company that does not have any understanding for the customer (ie "we can give you a truck but it has to be back in 2 hours", when it is clear that the customer rented the truck for 8 hours and so obviously cannot complete the work in 2) Despite the fact the employee at the Aurora location made compensation, we will never go back to U Haul. Unbelievable experience on so many levels.

The person at the counter was extremely rude. She's the lady with the dark brown hair. Not sure if she's the manager. This was at the Aurora, Ontario location. When I booked my truck, I also booked a storage locker. I dealt with a young staff there when I booked everything. He told me that when I bring the truck back, I would get the storage locker. When I took the truck back, I was told there was no storage spot booked. We then had to go to Newmarket to put the stuff into a storage locker that was bigger than what I needed. We then went back to Aurora to return the truck. The lady at the counter was extremely rude, scowl on her face, etc. When we were ready to leave I asked her what the amount was that I owed. She just said to me that she doesn't have time to figure it out and she'll email me the info. My husband and I were very upset. Again, just in a very unprofessional manner. We will never use the Aurora location again. It was not a pleasant experience. I don't even know the amount that will be charged on my credit card because she said she didn't have time to figure it out.

Fourth time using this location, Zade (sorry if misspelling) has helped me twice and I think Becky the other times. I've always found them to be awesome, helpful and best of all never any surprises when the bill showed up in my email, which is always the fear when renting vehicles. Highly recommend.

Picking up the truck was very easy. Becky is an amazing person and very accommodating. When dropping off the truck the young man was very frazzled, rushed and short. I accidentally honked the horn with my elbow getting out of the truck and he "yelled wait a minute". I said it was an accident but he was rushing around and felt uneasy about the return. Not easy, comforting or a pleasure at all. I felt I was interrupting his thought process or his agenda before closing time. Seemed he was having a bad day and it was sure visible as a consumer. I could see this be very intimidating to some people. I returned the truck at 6:20pm. Pick up was excellent and return was poor. Sorry to mention this but hopefully this may assist in improving the customer experience. I will still recommend U-Haul Aurora and that is because of Becky. Regards, Bruce

I would never recommend anyone to book there rental on-line. My experience was disastrous. My scheduling call the day before pick-up had me picking up my truck in another city 70kms. away. Customer service got me a smaller truck close by, but it was an inconvenience since it was not a one-way rental and I was unable to complete my move. Have to make other arrangements now.

The truck wasn't clean inside the cab specially the windows or in the back of the truck ... there was something wrong with the front end of the truck; it keep pulling to the right which it made very difficult to drive which made me late returning the truck ... the truck should have never rented ... now you charge with additional day ... I am very disappointed because I never had this problem with Newmarket store ...

The major factor is that I paid until about August 10, 2018, moved out on July 20, 2018 but no rebate on the overpayment of approx $150.00 This is why I would not recommend UHaul storage to a friend!
