Ran out of windshield washer fluid in the middle of a snowstorm the reservoir was quarter full when I took the van. Tires must have been either bald winters or all seasons the van was sloppy in slush and dangerous at highway speeds. The rear door of the van must have been previously damaged and is bent outwards which created a gap and some of my boxes where stained with salt and water as it seeped into the van Also call centre gave me incorrect quotes and had a mix up at the location I reserved my van at and those kinds of pricing mix ups REALLY piss me off don’t fuck with my money Otherwise the price is very competitive. Had all the above been good I would give it 5 stars

Poor customer service. I was definitely not a priority. I was told he would be a few minutes as he was doing a report all the while answering a phone call and checking text message. I was told 3 times he would be a few minutes. I felt like I was a bother. When I returned the truck again I was the only customer and asked to wait as he pounded away on his keyboard. He then said he would email the receipt. I left but came back as I was not comfortable with him not confirming I filled the tank and check the mileage. I didnt want to leave with my receipt. Instead of doing the ck and getting me going, I had to wait while he took the truck around the facility and parked it on the other side. I must be blunt that i had a poor customer experience on pick up and drop off

Will never rent again in winter. Vans from sunny states with no snow tires!!!! This is Canada, please have vehicles with snow tires for us Canadians very scary drive WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN AND WILL VOICE IT TO ANYONE I KNOW ABOUT TO RENT. Other than that great service and staff.

We happened to get a truck from the U.S. up here in Ontario, Canada, which is not unusual, but a heads up would be nice so the driver knows when they're looking at the gauges that they're not in metric but imperial, especially the speedometer that's reading in miles per hour, not kilometres an hour. I myself realised it pretty quickly, but I would say MANY people would not, which of course could lead to a speeding ticket right away, particularly at the lower speeds such as within city limits. There are lots of stickers in the vehicle to notify the driver of many things, but not this.Of course it should just be a temporary sticker of some sort so that when the vehicle returns to the U.S. it can be easily removed. I know that this is an american company, but the overwhelming majority of the rest of the world does use the metric system.

Take better notice of the fuel level of the vehicle that is given to a customer. We were told the vehicle was 1/4 full, which was a mistake. You caught the mistake, and alerted us, but then you said the tank was 3/4 full. It was near 3/4. but actually less than 3/4. This is a minor beef, but it does seem a bit sloppy. Otherwise I had no issues and the staff were friendly and efficient.

15 minutes Late opening and then took 30 minutes to check in. Vehicle was frosted up, luckily we had our vehicle so we had something to clean the frost/ice off the windows.

I would just like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and appreciation for the Manager at the Aurora U-Haul at 51 Industrial Parkway N . I have in the past, dealt with U-Haul on various occasions and although the service was not poor or lacking in most cases, there have been issues that I would consider not very professional. Becky Bredow needs to be recognized for her stellar professionalism and her can do attitude. I arrived at the Aurora location back in June of 2017 and I have to tell you that if it hadn't been for Becky's ability to change a bad situation into a can do anything frame of mind that I quite honestly would have lost mine. I ordered a storage pod on line that was not there when I got to Aurora. The reservation I had made for two men to help me unpack the truck and load my belongings into the pod were never hired and apparently could not be hired through the internet without a credit card. That being said, Becky rescued me from this whole mess. Talk about above and beyond for the customers satisfaction, she was able to take my situation and turn it into a blessing. I arrived in tears and left that night laughing about it all. Talk about customer service at it's best, this woman needs a medal, a statue erected in her honor (LOL). In this day and age everyone is so quick to criticize but so few actually give credit where credit is do. Well U-Haul you have won with this choice for a manager in Aurora. I should be so lucky as to have my next encounter with U-Haul be even half of what I was given at Aurora. I have an idea. How about, no matter where I am I can request that Becky take care of my move, storage, packing supplies ect. Did I mention her smile that could melt the most angered customer heart. Thank you U-Haul Thank you Becky.

The staff member who served me wasn't very pleasant or friendly. Didn't seem interested in helping whatsoever. He told us the trailer is in the back and when we went to hook it up we couldn't figure it out so I went inside to ask for help. He was playing with his phone and took a minute or two to acknowledge I was there. When I asked if there was someone who could come outside and help us hook the trailer up, he said in a rude tone "what, you guys don't know how to hook it up?" He also charged my cousin $45 for the pads we rented because he assumed we didn't return them.

Went there and the person behind the counter said they didn't have the truck we reserved, even though I received an email the day before confirming that the truck is there and waiting for pick up the next day. I also reserved a dolly, and never received one. I still have to check my receipt to see if I was charged for one. Seemed very disorganized. After making a call, the person behind the counter was told that we did have a truck reserved there, and it was available, so not sure where the confusion came from.

Office attendant was unpleasant and surly. Clearly, she hated her job...or people, in general. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. She punched in my credit card number wrong, then said my card was declined. She also refused to let me use the washroom facilities. The truck was parked in, so we had to go back and ask her to move vehicles before we were able to leave. On the upside, when we were first arranging the rental, the call centre agent was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The vehicle was perfect. Exactly what we needed. The agent at the drop off location was super friendly and very personable. I would have rated much higher if not for the Aurora location gong show experience.

Location is fabulous. Service on the phone was easy and the people were very courteous and very accommodating on the phone. However the night manager could be a little friendlier. We came in at 6:00 p.m. on a Monday and I had booked the truck that afternoon. The inside of the truck smelled like an ashtray, we bought air fresheners for the vehicle. Vehicle was fine, availability was fantastic. Just night manager needs a friendlier attitude.
