Maintenance is key if u want your trailer to perform as it should. The rollers on the back door should be lubricated, if those rollers give up that trailer become useless. Thought it was strange that there was no spare tire? If u lost tires in the past offer the renter an option, loose the tire and u will be charged for a new one or don’t take one. I took 2 spare tires with me as it was 3 hour drive between service stations. Cheers

Lakhvir SThe location and equipment were great, getting the truck nailed down to a location and time was incredibly difficult. A contract was made for a 15’ truck at 10am at one location; I was called the following morning by a U-Haul person and told the time would be the same but location would be different, then within an hour-received a text with a different location again. I called the number on the contract and the third address was confirmed by text again- unfortunately I did not see that the time changed for that third location before hanging up. I called back and was told the time of 1:30pm and it was not negotiable. The operator said that I could call the next morning (day of pick up) at 7am and MAYBE there would be a truck returned early that we could get. I called at 8:06am and was on hold for over 45 minutes. Multiple times I was bumped back to a customer service representative NOT from my province that said she WAS NOT ALLOWED to even look into a different provinces contracts. While I was on hold, I had a family member call our perspective pick up location and he asked if the truck was available immediately- he was told it was. Coincidentally, my call was picked up and it was confirmed that a truck was available and then the operator insisted I give a new pick up time even though I had a pick up time scheduled for that truck at 1:30pm. We eventually picked up by 11:30-12. Our pick up went fine and the truck was great. Trouble happened again at the drop off. INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED. It took more than a 1/2hr to turn in the keys and complete the return through the app. I then received a text to complete the return over an hour AFTER the truck was physically returned. I called and spoke with a wonderful operator named Richa at the scheduling office who told me the system was experiencing “a lot of glitches.” She was great. The gentleman that checked me in at the location for pick up was great- truck was great. The rest of the experience was trying beyond belief. I understand it is a long weekend but you need to get more people in and fix your app. My rental cost over $160cdn, we had the truck less than 4 hours but because we picked up in Winnipeg and returned in Steinbach, the rental is considered a one way rental. I understand a higher fee for a one way rental when you are travelling from say Winnipeg to Arizona, but we traveled less than 75 miles. Not very consumer friendly and not overly stated. We didn’t find out the cost until we booked the truck- we were expecting the standard $29.95/day rental listed on the sides of all their trucks.

Bradly KI really wish that more effort was put into cleaning the trucks both inside and out. I have never had a issue renting from this location. They always have the truck that I pre booked online, and I am usually out of there with the truck in a short time. The cleanliness is a overall comment as I have rented from more locations. I like a clean vehicle and since I plan on continuing to rent from uhaul, a clean truck would be nice. I always have to clean all the windows and mirrors before I use it so I can see properly, and there is usually stains, spills and dust all in the cab, plus they usually do not smell all that good. Just my two cents for what its worth. Thanks

Lakhmeet sIn general everything was good. It was a little further out of the way than we would have liked but acceptable. Biggest issue was that we set up after hour pick up using the app. But for some reason it wasn’t set by the location. So when we arrived we had no way to pick up. Luckily the 24 hour support was able to help. They worked with us for close to 90 minutes to reprogram the rental and activate our key access.
Charles MIt looks great. I won't be using it on an upcoming trip so I am hopeful it works as promised. And done quickly. Deeeelitious!

Hernando DI booked over the phone with your general line as that's the one that picked up. I was advised to pick up the truck at 1099 Kingsbury, Winnipeg that no longer exists. When i told they individual that over the phone, she said i was wrong. We went to that address to pick up the truck and low and behold, it doesn't exist. I found another location that had one thankfully. the rating pertains to the first location. Second location on Inkster i would rate as average. They were ok but nothing special. The equipment i don't believe had winter tires as we could not go above 50km an hour (we drove in a 70 zone) and even that was concerning because it slid almost every time we had to stop. VERY DANGEROUS VEHICLE.

Jessica BI recognize that U-Haul is very busy. I was able to order the cargo van quickly and so appreciated that however they were not able to get to cleaning it. I had some difficulty with the app to return the van after hours. I found the explanation a bit confusing. I do use technology all the time and anticipated it would be quick and straight forward. I found this not so for my experience. I watched the video and it did not match the actual app instructions. I left not sure if I had completed everything. Perhaps a tweak of this would be helpful. the rest of my experience was very good. perhaps was a bad day for the location.It was only one experience so would not want to think this is the way it always occurs.

I am still waiting on a $50 from uhual because I was not given my truck on a reserved time frame due to which I had to face some problem during my moving. Ryan HThe trailer I rented was covered in dirt and ice from a snowstorm the previous day. Not a huge problem, as thats the weather. However, the ice buildup on the front passenger side of the trailer had concealed a damaged amber light. The light was actually not there, and had corrosion all over the connection. I was worried that I would be held responsible for the light, but the staff assured me that was not a problem. I would recommend in future to have all ice scraped off and around lights, door latches etc… to prevent a future customer from having a poor experience.

Alexander makes himself available to staff and customers alike. He deserves an Assistant Manager and a raise! When I made a joke about Alexander always being at work, suggesting he was too good to U-haul - he told me (with a smile) "I do it for my customers." Don't lose him, U-haul - he is the success of the location, hands down.

The Manager was very helpful and wanted you to have a good experience as well as the other employees, and I would of but I felt unsafe at one point when there were persons on site that I observed were not suppossed to be there, but seem to be accessing the building. For me as a female and a senior I did not feel safe during that time, I had to change the time that I came to the storage and made sure that I was not alone to remove my items and organize my storage unit for when they were to be pickup, I then started to come when I knew the staff was on site and there are cameras. This was very inconvienent for me because my transport was not always availble during the day.That is why I mentioned for staff or secuity to be on site longer hours. Customers sign a contrat and have a liability to use the facility as specified, the U HAUL Company are obligated by contract and should also provide the same. I observed that there were changes to keep the doors closed and the facility secure, but at that point I just wanted to remove my items because I started to feel uneasy and safe not knowing if unauthorized persons were in the facility, I had to select my times to be there which was not when I had transport to pick my items unfortunately. I would recommend the U Haul to others but I would tell them of my experince with the hopes that changes will be made so this is not their experience. Your facility is very clean, large spacious, access to a washroom, security cameras and a variety of storage locker sizes to choose from. I wished the lights would of stayed on longer, I felt uneasy when they were turning off so fast it is very dark and when there are other people in the storage you want to feel safe, being in the dark I did not feeling safe, I think that you have to seriously consider that.persons will be need to use the storage and the lights should be on longer, maybe it should be activated by the swipe card, that indicates the customers are in there units working or organizing. Unless there are some of these changes and considerations, I hesitate to use the U Haul facility.

Taylor H | Overall ExperienceI stored my belongings at the 1675 Inkster location in Winnipeg. Recently I started taking things out but the first time I went there the parking lot was being replaced, limiting access to the units which was frustrating. The second time I went, another group was hogging ALL the trolleys. I asked them politely if I could have just one trolley and they declined. I went inside to ask the salespeople if they could help me find a trolley or ask the other group to share one with me. The salespeople were all sitting around chatting and it took a few minutes to get their attention, although NO customers were in the store. When I asked if they could get me a trolley, they said maybe there are some on the second floor, but no one would go with me. They can see on the monitor that there were NO trolleys on the second floor but I went up there to look anyway. I asked if they could ask someone to share their trolley because I came at 4 pm and had waited twenty minutes already for the other group to finish. One of the salespeople said rather bluntly that ‘ I would have to WAIT my turn’ I asked the other salesperson if she could call me when a trolley became available and gave her my phone number because I was pressed for time, had errands to do. She said I can take your number, but I will NOT be able to hold a trolley for you! So that was pointless! In the end she NEVER DID call me when a trolley was available! So I sat in my car for another twenty minutes so a TOTAL of forty minutes, didn’t do any of my other errands, just stressed that because Uhaul was closing at 5 pm that I wouldn’t get to remove my belongings from the unit either and the whole driving trip there would be a waste. Finally I got a cart and raced in and out like a maniac because it was only me loading my stuff and I didn’t want to be charged for the following month. All in all the experience was awful and I will take my business elsewhere in the future.

I was lead to believe truck could be backed up to it.

They could have just charged me extra which I stated was fine and they had my credit card number so really don’t understand the threat Storage unit was too small had to store stuff outside my home which someone came and stoled stuff so I lost items that couldn’t fit in my unit bc I didn’t get the size I needed The facility is clean and bright which I liked thanks

It was easy to navigate to get to especially they have free carts available inside the Bay Area near the entrance door for you to use if you have heavy things that you can’t take it all the way down to your storage. Overall this place is clean and each storage units have individually alarm system so that you wouldn’t have to worry losing your belongings for 24 hours and 7 days a week at anytime! Highly recommended!!!

I requested a unit close to the one I was in as I had noticed quite a few empty units available in my requested size of a 5 x 10. I also noted when I made the reservation that I could not move until March 1st in the am. When I arrived I was told I was being charged $215.00 for the 10 x 10 because I WAS LATE paying the storage fee!!!! He told me I needed to "PAY ON TIME" and that was why I was being charged the 10 x 10 unit fee!!!! This was very upsetting considering I had made these arrangements prior and was not able to move on the 28th. I was then placed in a unit CLEAR ACROSS THE BUILDING rather than closer to my present unit. I did this move alone and with bad hips. There were many empty units available that were much closer to unit 600 ( 10 x10) that I was in. I went back to the office and asked why I wasnt given a unit closer and I was told they were all booked!! I'm very disappointed in the service and my experience wasnt helpful or pleasant. I called uhaul yesterday to inquire on my unit fees for April 2021. I was told I have a credit of 80$ and my fee would be an additional 80$!!! 5 x10 is 129.00 a month! It doesnt add up. Very unprofessional behavior. I am unsure I will be continuing to give my business and money to a company that shows such disregard for thier customers. Tina Dutiaume.

I do love that the facility has automatic doors to park the car when I visit my storage. Also, I like the facility interior colours, almost all white, everything looks clean and welcoming. I like the big space at the store. Everything in general looks so organized and I love that because It gives me the sense of having my stuff in a safe place.

U-Haul storage has none of these problems. You're items stay in the same condition as when you put them in your locker. I definitely recommend U-Haul storage.
