The drop off site in Washington DC. Customer Service was terrible. I asked some questions and felt as it was a bother. The two individuals working that evening were extremely rude and did not want to do their jobs.
Jorge HI am highly disappointed with Uhaul. My rental was absolutely a disgrace; the a/c did not work on one of the hottest days of the week, upon return I observed that one of the front headlights were off and during the ride, it appeared that the shock absorber was bad, my furniture was bounced around more than it should. The service maintenance sensor light was on the whole time. I am a regular customer but never been so disappointed than I was with this rental.

John ZVery bad they were helpful but didn't really give clear instructions and didn't help people very strict unclean. I would not recommend to anyone. I'm very sad I had a very bad experience. But the manger was the best server everyone else was doin tier own thing.

David RThis location was very busy they managed the crowd very well. This issue was with my direct reservation the truck I was initially assigned had worn tires the check engine light was on and someone else's disgarded property remained inside the cab area. When I initially asked to be switched to another truck of the same size I was told the 2 present were only available for 1 way rental and already scheduled for pickup. I then requested a downgrade but in doing so they made available 1 of the 2 one way rentals. This entire ordeal took far too much time I had movers scheduled to meet me by a particular time and I mentioned that to the guy who was working with me at least twice. From what I seen if they have the amount of customers they had that day on a regular basis they need to update any dilapidated inventory they have on site and ensure its all safe and road ready prior to giving it to a customer.
LIKA AOn the other hand, the drop off was a breeze!! Nice agents at desk and there was more than one agent pitching in to assist and get us out quickly. They checked out the truck and sent us on our way quickly!! Would recommend…
SAI SThe customer service provided by the young lady in the store was amazing, I’m sorry I forgot her name! She was patient and helpful to every customer that walked in the door, being able to successfully and pleasantly assist multiple customers at one time who were all having difficulties. She made the experience easy and I would definitely use this location again! Thank you for making a stressful moving day, start easy!

Alexis MIt appears that this location is consistently understaffed. The personnel are always courteous and apologetic about the wait, which is usually not too long if you have an reservation. However, every time I have used this facility, there has been some waiting involved. While the staff do their best under the circumstances, additional staffing may help improve the overall patient experience.

TINA LEveryone was super We are a Vietnam era vets org and are skwzys in crisis mode When we put gas in the truck we discovered there was no gas cap I took a photo We needed a 20!foot truck but one was not available until next day Then my phone stopped working and I was by myself and could not contact anyone and explain my situation I was charged for two days don’t know why snd could not pick up the 20 ft truck snd need a truck today but we don’t have time nor staff Will follow up later Who can I tslk to about all this I’ve been dealing with u haul in Dc for close to 30 or more yrs Thsnk you the folks were great except for the two day charge NACVinc.org
Cecil BThose dollys need to be strapped down somewhere in the truck. While we were driving around, the dolls kept hitting the back of the truck very loudly I might add. Everytime it banged we jumped. After a while it just starts to get very annoying.
Adrienne HEveryone working at this location did a great job even though the location itself could use some upkeep. The most terrible experience I've ever had with customer service came from engaging with someone who called themselves "Lucky" that I spoke with over the phone. She was the absolute worst. She cancelled my service contract and provided no help when I needed it most. I do not think this person has a long term career in customer service.

Tge onsite attendant may be overwhelmed with duties to close up for day but he needs to be helpful and friendly as self check out not simple for someone my age.

Daniel REveret was great and needs to be promoted to regional. Everet was able to assist in my dire need of help when the U-Haul location in SW assigned me a storage unit that’s was inaccessible and the location didn’t have any other storage options to offer. The SW location then told me to find another storage and refused to provide assistance.

Terry HWhile the u-haul rental truck that I reserved for self checkout on Monday April 20, 2026 was accurately placed at the proper location this time around and the self check-out experience was phenomenally exceptional for sufficient and efficient processing on the u-haul app, it still remains that the u-haul rental truck that I was assigned to was disturbingly dirty "specifically the driving handle," and the gold key that locks the loading back did not work; Moreover and most importantly, an alleged U-Haul employee "working at such late hours at night around 8:30 PM when I returned the U-Haul rental vehicle" appeared to have stolen my moving cart possibly believing in it to be that of U-Haul's property; Please return my cart because I am slightly physically disabled and need my cart to carry things frequently.
ONYINYE JI needed a van at the last minute for a few hours. There was nothing available, but the staff made it happen. I took a van that had not been swept out. The van being labeled inoperable overnight would have costed me way more in fees and travel than it was worth. Instead, the staff did everything they could to help shortly before closing and everything worked out smoothly. They also informed me that there was no private vehicle parking in the Uhaul lot without risking being towed.
Tilmon PI had some issues picking up the truck because my driver license is international and it took me an hour to get that solved. It would be good if you could do something to make the process easier.
Francisco CThe Customer service Representative lacked all forms of professionalism. Their appearance was horrible uniforms looked dirty and unkept. The parking lot to the right of the door had a pile of trash. The interior building looked dark and gloomy. I stood in line waiting to check my van in the associate stayed on his cell phone while I stood there. Telling the person on the phone how he wasn’t sending them any money for food and he wasn’t rich. Definitely will not be revisiting this location.
AARON GThe truck was on "empty". We weren't used to this and have rented UHauls before. Was told however the prior customer brought it in is the standard. The truck had lots of damage to outside which is fine however, the visors were falling down/making it difficult to drive/see without trying to hold it up. The particular truck needs to be taken out of inventory. Otherwise, the agents on site were nice and provided good service.

Marcellla Jones was extremely helpful in ensuring that I got the right equipment for my move. Amber Hicks was extremely graceful and respectful in ensuring that my possessions were stored properly. This was a hectic day and it could have been very stressful but because of the professionalism, kindness and can do attitude of the entire staff the day ended peaceful and joyful!

Tim K | First ImpressionsThe proffesionalism and kindness of the staff varied based on their mood. Getting started was a nightmare yet pressed for time I stayed there. The storage units there are the back halves of older 10ft trucks placed side by side. Being kept outside I should have been able to have 24 access. I am sure the manager tried her best but this location was the location for extra trucks. There is no customer parking available yet they managed to fill every inch with a truck. First few times I had to request to have a truck removed from infront of my storage unit. After that, they avoided parking one infront of my unit. I made it a point to have everyting out within my 30 days. I refused to pay close to $200.00 a month with the service and inconvenience I was put thru. My leaving seemed to have made everyone happy including myself. Again, I am sure the manager did her best. The individual that opened my account was the worst. She showed no signs of wanting to help me. But had no issues helping others that came in after me. I wanted to F******** scream. The guys at this location seemed much more accomidating, friendlier, and very helpful I wish I had gotten names. Not that it matters I hope to never have to go back there again.
