Darrell Thomas Sr. was the only reason I gave this location an average score. His professionalism and assistance with my rental went beyond his fellow co-worker. I'm not sure if it is the DC attitude, I was the first person that morning, or a mixture of both, but I had initial issues with the lights of the trailer, The co-worker's response was simple, go and get your money back from the manager. Mr. Thomas worked the issue and I was able to leave with the rented equipment.

The online check-in process was too involved and complicated -- • The proof of identity process should be a part of setting up account; I am not going to have, for example, a copy of my lease with me when I am standing in front of the truck. • The constant taking of photos was very difficult. It was raining very hard that morning and my phone screen became unresponsive several times due to water accumulating on the screen. • It took me more than twice the time that it has taken me to rent at the counter on other visits. I will be avoiding pick-ups/drop-offs that are outside of store hours from now on I want to be clear that the local store staff was and always has been terrific. When I eventually had to go inside the store, the gentleman at the counter was helpful and even volunteered to go thru the process with me. He pointed out the option of using a reference and how I could arrange for my wife to be prepared to answer the phone. I have used U-Haul for nearly every move and, since moving here to DC, I discovered that U-Haul offers the most accessible/economical option to get a vehicle for the day on short notice. In some instances I was spending up to $120 on Lyft/Uber rides -- U-haul gives me a pick-up truck for the day for under $60 with mileage and insurance!

There was only one person to work a busy Saturday a.m., and the lines were long. She did an admirable job and worked hard to make sure everybody stayed calm. She rose to the occasion with aplomb.

Customer service is nonexistent. Staff argued amongst each other which policy is correct. Unnecessary service was added that customer didn’t add. Receipt at dispatch was incorrect with the wrong mileage and fees added. Overall poor experience

Get new computers!! Employees are amazing, helpful, knowledgeable and very pleasant and this is a consistent experience. With that being said...there is almost ALWAYS an issue with the computer systems, often resulting in the employees using their own cell phones. I am confident that this location is one of, if not, the best in the city as well as the busiest and they should have properly functioning equipment to serve the high traffic they get. Thanks. Every single employee here is top notch and I honestly appreciate it.

tHey couldn't find my reservation then when they hooked up the trailer and i operated the lights they said they were working. Cars were driving buy me on the way home waving at me ,now I know why,no brake lights no turn signals on trailer.

to small and crowded...all was well but when I returned the trailer Saturday 29th of September by 6pm...I received a e mail that said I never returned it 4 days later. very upsetting when I know I returned it.
