BERNICE ALocking the speedometer at 75 mph was huge inconvenience. I should’ve been told. Do you know how hard it is to pass a line of semi trucks when you can’t even go over 75? I had people honking and lined up behind me constantly. Also, why is there no cruise control on trucks? Not a very pleasant drive

STEPHANIE KI had a truly disappointing and infuriating experience with U-Haul’s storage facility—largely due to the blatant abuse of power by the General Manager. Initially, my unit was in poor condition, but the real issues began after I submitted a complaint about construction materials left in my space. Rather than addressing the concern, the GM took punitive action, restricting my access without warning or justification. I specifically rented an exterior unit with 24-hour access—a service I paid for and relied on. That access was suddenly revoked following a minor issue with my lock (which U-Haul does not provide, per their own policy). Instead of assisting me, the GM had my unit locked and refused to help. I was left waiting for hours during business hours while staff ignored the situation. When no resolution was offered, I had no choice but to cut the lock—with permission. What followed was nothing short of vindictive. Rather than resolving the issue reasonably, the GM stripped me of my paid access and imposed an arbitrary punishment: only two 30-minute visits during office hours. This was not only a breach of contract but a deliberate exertion of control, disregarding my circumstances entirely. Attempts to speak to him directly were met with outright dismissal—he was present, visibly relaxed, but refused to acknowledge my concerns, as if my situation was beneath him. His unchecked authority directly cost me a job, as I could no longer retrieve what I needed at the hours I paid for. Beyond his treatment of me, his overall behavior toward customers was deeply concerning. He regularly occupied the **only** handicap parking spot at this busy location—not out of necessity, but pure entitlement—forcing elderly and disabled individuals to struggle across the lot. Meanwhile, I was treated like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer, forced to check in like a child just to access my own belongings. To make matters worse, the district manager later informed me that complaints against the GM **do not matter**—because he has absolute authority over every decision. If he says something, it becomes fact, regardless of evidence or contract terms. This is a dangerous precedent for any business, effectively silencing customer concerns and ensuring no accountability for misconduct. The other staff members were professional and courteous, despite working under such toxic leadership. However, given this GM’s unchecked power, disregard for fairness, and outright hostile treatment, I strongly advise others to **think twice** before storing their belongings here. I am not seeking compensation for the sake of a freebie—I am demanding accountability for the services I paid for and was denied. U-Haul must **re-evaluate its leadership and ensure customers are treated with professionalism, respect, and fairness.** If the company allows individuals like this to operate unchecked, then customer trust **means nothing to them.** I will be filing with BBB, ATTORNEY GENERAL AND WHERE EVER IS NEEDED FURTHER IF AFTER SENDING THIS NO RECOGNITION OR ACCOUNTABILITY IS TAKEN.

LAURENCE OIt took over an hour to pickup my truck because their “system” was not working, and no one in the store knew how to fix it. They had to call another U-Haul service to get help, and I had to be charged twice because they charged me a much higher price for my rental than the online reservation said.

EVAN GThe trailer night running light didn’t work initially. The dispatch coordinator quickly identified the issue and fixed it. He also helped me hitch the trailer to the truck and explained all questions that I had in a very professional and courteous manner. The overall experience was very pleasant and business like. Will recommend this location for all your UHaul needs. 5 stars.

DIANA RTire was all most flat, was told after I hooked up with no help the air compressor didn’t work can I get air at a service station I took pictures of the tire in front of the store to show how I picked it up. Air isn’t free at the service stations and I had to go by it again on the way back after loading the car.

SHERRI DFollowed directions to the return location and waited with the equipment, as the instructions stated. However, I waited about 10 minutes and did not get help. I walked in the store and asked if I could get help with a return. The attendant looked up at a monitor and said "sure." He went out with me and took care of the return. As I was the only customer on the property, I don't think there was any excuse for the delay.

I was trying to do mobile checkout but it became too confusing and decided to go to the person to complete the checkout. He was reluctant when I said the mobile checkout was asking for too much info and I'd prefer to complete the rest with him. Then he pointed on a diagram of a truck where to identify the vehicle with the sticker on the top of the vehicle l and side with the number.... I repeated what he said and he said yeah, why else would I have said that? Not nice at all

Instead of walking me to the access panels and showing me, your staff essentially mocked me when I said I didn't understand and proceeded to be very condescending while "showing" me on the wall inside. They then proceeded to continue their conversation as of I weren't there. Very unprofessional. The facility itself was clean and well maintained. And once I was able to access the unit it was clean and ready to go. As a manager for many years I believe that some retraining is in order of how to treat guests, especially those using your facility for the first time.

I arrived around 7:30 to pick my U-Haul truck up on the day of my move out. It was to be ready by 7am and was marked for online/self pick up at the Buckley site in Aurora. I called customer service to help direct me to pick it up and they stated the facility messed up and the vehicle was not ready and that I’d have to wait until 9am for the office to open. Once inside, admittedly a little frustrated but not being rude, assistant Manager Irving who was helping another customer told me to “stop with my attitude” because it wasn’t the guys fault who was helping me. I informed Irving I had missed picking my help up from the airport due to this mess up and had not even received an apology or a way to fix the issue. Irving was extremely unprofessional and did not handle the matter properly.

However everytime I ha e used this location for storage, rental, or just getting boxes, I get no greeting basically ignored and seems like they are being bothered customers are even there. No sense of cust service including mgmt they just sat in office laughing with customers waiting. A simple greeting or when walking away from counter acknowledge your customer and let them know you'll be back. The staff needs a lesson in customer service.

So I had to purchase another unit unexpectedly costing an additional price for a second unit but ,What Ivan was able to do for us is give us the 1st month free on both units and pay for August up front and we appreciate that so much. He truly went out of his way to accommodate our needs. The rest of the staff was also very friendly as well. Definitely would recommend U-HAUL to anyone who is in need of renting a truck or needs a storage unit. My only wish is for the price the units should be bigger. IRENE H | First ImpressionsWell, Robert (the previous GM for 750 Buckley in Aurora, Co) never kept promises made to waive late fees when I was out of work due to an accident. He also promised prorated refund of rent when I moved my things out of the unit (1733.) While I was there loading the trailer I drove from Washington to Colorado the employees were lazy and disrespectful. They paid attention to their phones and gossiping about the drugs they took at the rave they attended for New Years Eve. Which then one of the employees ran after me when I was pulling out with a walkie talkie to radio the trailer number to the others because they assumed I stole the trailer. I just want what was promised at this point. Especially after being accused of being a thief. I don’t know what the deal is with this location but the entire two years I had my unit there it was horrible. Employees would curse me out and call me names because I was late on my payments. Nobody ever returns your calls or messages either. Someone needs to really do something with the people and their attitudes there.

WALLACE L | Overall ExperienceThe GM, specifically, was a real jerk. I had 2 units in the building. The units were billed on separate cycles on different days. One of my units was paid up and one was a few days late when my dad and I stopped by to drop off some camping equipment. I only needed access to the unit which was paid up, and I was denied entry to the entire building because my other unit was slightly past the due date. Not only were we denied entry, the GM was mean about it. I was livid; I was literally shaking from shock and anger at the way he talked to me. The GM was completely uncaring and rude to the point that I lost my temper and said it was bs for which I immediately apologized, but maintain that is technically correct. My father was furious, too. I ended up paying for the other unit and letting the GM know that we would be emptying both units and leaving before renewal. That's exactly what we did. His behavior was completely unacceptable. Firstly, what he did was wrong and secondly, his attitude was disgusting. A man should not be in a customer-facing role if he can offer zero compassion or empathy. Furthermore, I will be emptying a third unit at another u-haul locations as soon as arrangements can be made. I am really upset about this incident and I want nothing further to do with the entire company after this experience.

I was told I couldn't use my checking account to do this and had to iise a debit/credit card. In the mean time the staff was more concerned with video games etc. and it wasapparent the associate didn't hear my need after explaining twice. Once I paid my monthly fee I asked was this set up on auto payment, had to look at the screen as he was leaving, said yes ,and told me to I can call back if needed then walked away. Associate distracted, not focused on the customer for a simple transaction and not confident my acct is set up correctly. Most likely will need to call again. Poor service.

Marcus T | Overall ExperienceI had such an awful experience checking in. The representative that checked me in took FOREVER! 30 mins to check in is RIDICULOUS!!! Not only was she slow but literally kept falling asleep at the desk! (multiple times) As well she continued to eat her food in front of customers and would stop her typing in the system to take a bite of her food. I was asked for 1st floor or 2nd. I picked 1st and she assigned me 2nd as she was not paying attention due to falling asleep. I as well rented a 5 X 10 X 8 and she gave me a 5 X 5 X 8. Worst experience EVER! Now I have to waste time out of my day to go back to the uhaul and switch it to the correct storage I was supposed to have in the first place

Everyone is friendly and always very helpful, makes moving a little less stressful. The store is always stocked with many useful supplies. The price is reasonable for what you get and the move out process is very easy. Will definitely be coming back for any future moving needs!

When I involved one of the staff members (Kimberly Cole) about the issue, which she nonchalantly prompted that my lock may have been tampered with and suggested how to get the lock off with a tool. Once that was unsuccessful, the on duty manager (Brandellyn Cunningham) stated that to gain access to my belongings I would need to call a lock smith since they did not have anything to cut the lock with on-site, which she assured I could be reimbursed or credited for the $89.99 if I brought my receipt. I inquired about the refund/credit and having management check security footage to ensure my lock was in fact tampered with and to consider relocating my belongings. But instead I was given the run around each time I tried to get in touch with the General Manager, Robert. Overall, my experience with customer service at this facility was very poor and my concern for the safety of my belongs was never met.
