Hated that the alarm kept going off when I was inside my locker. It would go off after I was only in there for 10 mins. The place was very clean. The staff were always great. Prices were reasonable.

Marco MTook 3 calls to actually close my contract after move out. Then my credit card was still charged. Called in May 1 to report charge Told mgr would call me back next day. Mgr never called & refund never completed until I called in a fifth time on May 14th. -disorganized counter staff - used an old profile when staff created contract - ignoring new info given to them - then wouldn't change old EM addy so I could get my receipts -unless I physically came down there while I live down south over the winter. -no where do you state you don't prorate charges if move out after 1st of the month - nor was i told that when I initially opened the contract & asked. Was told no need to give us notice. Just give out, leave it clean & let us know you vacated. - bathrooms abhorrent - -no one monitors how long people leave their vehicles in loading bays after done unloading - empty vehicles blocking both bays on numerous occasions. -Man door left unlocked all day. Crackhead walked in while I was in a closed OH door loading bay & i was solo female. Huge safety risk in my experience. - substantial dust on all my goods/furniture due to not fully enclosed unit.

JULIEN Meverything was above average, except for the fact that the unit was not cleaned. There was a sticky patch right at the entrance of the unit, which I stepped in a few times while moving my items in. This was disappointing. Other than that, I had very good customer service, in particular from the staff member who cleaned the unit. She did so politely, promptly, and apologetically. She was lovely.

Brian L | Overall ExperienceThere should be a designated pick up area with signage , a the lot is huge and if no one is there, it’s a guessing game as to wether you’re in the right place for pick up or have been forgotten. The last 3 or 4 times I’ve been there, it’s been a guessing thing. The last time I was there I grabbed the trailer myself as I was aware of what had to be done. However I imagine that becomes an insurance problem. Or maybe have a designated spot with a buzzer for making contact??

Jeffrey D | First ImpressionsMy rental was 3/4 full when I got in. I failed to take a picture of the gas gauge and only took a picture of the kilometres. I went to the gas station on Clement and put in 13.64 worth of fuel which was above what I actually received. On the paper I received it said it was 7/8 full which it was not. I drove less than 15km and when I returned it I was charged an extra for the fuel not being at what U-Haul deemed it was. There is no way the truck used almost 30.00 in fuel. It may have burnt no more than 3 liters and I was charged. I was not going to sit there and argue with a worker for I was exhausted and I returned the truck well before the 4 hours. I was not happy with this particular service and clearly the person before me caught a break and I had to pay for their fuel. If you are going to rent out the vehicles make sure they’re full.

We are people who r on a time limit either to load or unload in another city. I feel this is unacceptable. The line up to do business expresses the tension and the displeasure of wait times. Please please fix it!! All customers in the line up talk about your inadequate service. ASK THE CUSTOMER!

I was called to tell me that I had to go to Mission BC (more than an hour there and back again) to collect a 4x8. When I said I could not I was offered a 5x8 in Surrey nearby...I was NOT advised that the rate goes up 33% or $100...! Also just because it's a one way rental I HAVE to book 2 days use, I only needed 1 day and the cost is 3x what it would cost to return to the same location. I reserved a 4x8 and it's not my fault that it wasn't available despite that reservation...and to be charged 33% more is not acceptable. All the store could get was a $20 discount, i called customer care and was basically told that was the best that could be done? I need this rectified.

Mark G | Overall ExperienceI rented a trailer for 2 days. With waiver and taxes it was $55 (that amount was reserved on the card). Then I extended my rent for an extra day for $25 (but another $80 were reserved on my card - $135 in total ?!! ) After I returned the trailer it tool 1 week to get the $55 refund. That was confusing. I am sure the payment process can be more more fast and straightforward. The trailer was in "still can be used" condition but far from clean and well maintained.

MARTHE PI've used this same location a few times and this was my best experience. It was nice to see the same staff. Being able to keep the same staff shows it's a good place for them and ultimately have more experience to make the transaction seamless and easy.
JENNIFER TThis has been my 4th rental in a and handful of months. From truck to cargo trailer every single rental has had an issue. It gives very little trust in the uhaul brand that their equipment will provide safe transport. Again the check engine light came on halfway through my rentals. Very concerning.

Jason MNot sure if the short girl behind the desk is new or what but we found her difficult to deal with and didn't care at all about our experience, our needs or even what was in our best interest. It almost had a feel like she had some sort of personal issue with me or my wife. It was a strange experience all 3 times we dealt with her but the tall girl with the dreads was super helpful and friendly and Cale ALWAYS SMASHES CUSTOMER SERVICE OUTTA THE PARK!!! UHAUL is absolutely blessed to have a guy with his spirit with them. I know of managers in the automotive industry that make 150 to 250 annually that could learn from Cale. Keep doing things the way you do them man!!! Always a pleasure to interact with ya!

Everyone was super helpful with any minor issues I did happen to come across on the 8 months I was using your facility. Thank you for keeping my personal belongings safe and secure!

EDWARD DIt is not legal to drive on a highway in winter in BC in winter without snow tires. When renting the van I had explained that I would be driving it from Kelowna to Big White Ski Resort and back to pick up tools. When I got to Big White the van was not able to drive up the hill on Feathertop Way. It had been rented without snow tires. Please ensure that your vehicles are ready for use in BC winter conditions.

Eventually, with the help of a friend, we were finally able to figure out the trick to get the handle to slide all the way over so that it could be locked. The rolling door on my unit also makes an incredibly loud, unpleasant noise when opening or closing the door. Other than that, the facility is nice and new, and I love that there is a nice washroom and a water fountain nearby too. If the access hours were 24/7 it would be a lot more convenient.

Failed to deliver on the product as described 10x20, 2x10x8 units doesn't equal ten by twenty, we rented a twenty foot truck and were fortunate we were able to fit into the two smaller units. It cost us extra time to satisfy and delayed our departure having to use the second floor and elevator additional time to unload delayed our departure again and had us on the Hwy back to Vancouver in freezing weather and road conditions we should not have faced if you had kept your agreement to our contract of prepay-booking reservations for a ground floor unit the computer system 2days previous we paid for in person at Delta UhAul.

Thelma C | Overall ExperienceThis company has lost my belongings, locked me out of my unit erroneously, cut off my lock because they OST keys from my new lock that they insisted be put on. I've had staff pretending to be the manager offer to sell my belongings and been charged thousands of dollars in late fees because I couldn't move my payment date to a day I would be in town. When I had automatic payments set up I was getting multiple payments coming out at the same time. I've been told my unit was unsecured and it could be secured for a "fee". I agree and then when I get into town To go to my unit 10 days later it was left OPEN the entire time. When I have asked for my file to show the calls and communication to find out where my items were moved from their temporary unit of 2298 (because the staff locked my unit and lost the keys) and NO ONE could tell me where they moved my things. I will advise every person I meet to avoid this location AT ALL COSTS. The only decent communication I have ever had is with the customer service at head office but they don't call back either. Do better. This entire store should be closed

In our case, we were coming from Vancouver in a u Haul truck and needed to empty it into a storage unit. We arrived at 6 PM and were told we had to be done by 7 PM. We asked if we could stay later so we could empty the truck and they allowed it, but this conversation would not need to happen if the hours were extended to accommodate someone coming from distance and they need to empty the truck into storage. I think the hours need to be extended longer. 7 PM is quite early for people to access their storage units. Thanks !

Had to pay for lock rather than get it free because of these circumstances. I feel the cost of the lock should have been waived as it was very bothersome and time consuming and definitely not for lack of trying on mine (the customers) behalf.

With all the security measures, it would be great to have an extended time during the week and weekends. Another customer was also looking to gain access to the overhead doors as well after 7 pm. It was more difficult for us to move everything from outside through the small door next to the overhead door. We also tripped the alarm because we kept the door open too long. it was great to nave the moving carts available. We realize that our moving situation time was less than ideal but a bit more time for overhead door access would have been better and easier for us. Unless there was a way to grant access to the overhead doors with special booked access time for others in the same situation. Just some thoughts and suggestions if it can happen. Otherwise it was a great experience and all our questions were answered.

We were originally told we’d have 24 hour access to our belonging and that there would be on site security- not true. Alarm system automatically signs you out after 15-20 minutes when working inside locker then alarms are blaring again until you sign back in. Very disappointing experience for the price we paid each month/ year.

You should have a locked garage cans in the locker areas even for the small stuff or provide us with an alternative place to take the garage for free too. I'm disappointed in my experience with using u-haul Kelowna center.

I was upset, but then I called West Kelowna and received a much nicer individual who helped me book a truck for Monday to my satisfaction. I understand staff get busy, but I was bothered by the rudeness. I can handle it, but I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Also, I have booked many times through Uhaul and been pleased with your service, but this is the first time to my knowledge that I have been asked to fill out a survey, which I'm happy to do. The staff at West Kelowna and the gentleman I booked storage through in Kelowna both deserve to be appreciated. Thanks.

The anti-homeless alarm goes off every 5 minutes which is particularly difficult for ny autistic son to deal with while we worked . The thing might keep 2 people a year from living in there, and drives EVERY SINGLE customer nuts. The thing doesn't even need to go off during business hours. The elevator is the most latently acting unit I've ever seen. The doors close after 2 seconds while you struggle to race your carts inside.. which is amazing because they take 4 seconds to open again All this, after a year and a half of dealing with what was sold to me as a 10x20 drive up unit .. and turned out to be 2 - 10x10 units accessible only by elevator. When you exit the "drive up" area, you have to do half-lap around what was once a Semi Truck factory thru various other compound before driving past the door you entered at. Don't get me started on UHauls practice of insuring all vehicles out of Arizona.

Access to the unit was a pain too. They put locks on my storage even after arrangements had been made and partial payments were approved... not to mention my access code didnt work and the alarm went off every 30 seconds... so good on them for having alarms, but figure it out. When I called they said I just had to "ignore it". Uhaul in general has helped me out in the past , but i almost always get the run around no matter what uhaul I go to. I feel as though all staff need more training, and hours should be more accessible to people that work until 6 pm or later. The units should be accessible until 11 pm especially when there are access codes given..

I liked that there were example unit sizes in the store and wonder if something similar could be provided online for self-serve customers. I wasn’t given instructions on where my storage unit was located or how to use the security pad (or where that was located, even after saying I was a first time customer). I set off the alarm when accessing my unit because of this oversight and it was scary and embarrassing. I had to take the initiative to ask for help on how to find the unit and using the access code. Perhaps there could be instructions for the code beside the security panel and a sign highlighting it for first time users

However, my only concerns are the fact that they charge by the month and not the week. So apparently, if you have a week over your stay, you have to pay for a month's worth of storage. It's not convenient. Not sure if this was due to the Kelowna fires or not, but the storage is closed when the office is closed, even though they are in two very different buildings.

The building numbers do not correspond with the locker numbers and directions on the map given when a locker is issued, making it impossible to find your locker. The triggers on the automatic doors in Building 3 only trigger when your vehicle approaches at the right angle. I had to backup multiple times to get it trigger. I need 24 hour access to my storage locker. This whole business isn't working for me.

The other MUST ASK: the ventilation system does not work very well in the storage area. It gets very warm and with warm air being forced out, is there something to be done? Although I did get a Ubox. The Ubox that is where I thought it was suppose to be in bay 5/6 but didn’t realize I needed to go to another area in the drive thru. There is a box that is empty but was not allowed to use the empty one sitting there. Thank you to the staff which was more then happy to make other accommodations for the time being.

Doing all the paperwork going to look at it and going. That is a little closet compared to a giant wardrobe. You have to put into a tiny space. Which I know gonna make me sound old. But back in my day, LOL people knew measurements and. Math, and these days, they just don't conceive. What 5 feet is 5 inches, 5 cm? Whatever it is, it's only logical. If some things are just pure plain logic which you can't teach unless you grow up with logical parents and teachers. I suppose so it's not necessarily these young millennials fault millennials millennials. Fault, but it could be default with the world. Anyhow, just something to consider about measurements and teaching people plain math, which we used to be able to do in our heads. Now everyone uses a calculator and they still don't understand how to count change back. That's my rant and i'm sticking to it

I did not catch his name, but he was a young white man with short brown hair, who was walking around sweeping for most of the time we were there, but went out of his way to make sure we were doing alright, and helped us when we asked.

I reserved a storage room 2 weeks in advance and received confirmation of availability. When i arrived i was charged a higher rate. I questioned that at the time of moving in and subsequently with the General Manager and got three different and contradictory responses at different times 1. Rates have gone up since I reserved. 2 I reserved a 2nd floor unit (but my reservation clearly states 1st floor, and the second floor rate was also more than my reservation 3. Units are 1st come 1st serve. So Uhaul’s reservation system is not reliable for either rates or availability, and the management, at the Enterprise Road Kelowna location at least do not deal with integrity. Beware.

One thing jus pay attention carefully when renting vehicles from them that u understand completely whst costs may be. The staff on Enterprise are exceptionally friendly buildings and units are always very clean and bright . I also love the new locks they encourage you to buy…. I would like to see them open a Cpl hrs later as if u work all day it’s a rush to be in n out by 7. Otherwise excellent business to rent from .. Ty for all the helpful services.

THey need more dollies and something is always broken, especially the big entrance doors. This last time they dumped someone's contents of an unpaid unit right beside the entrance parkade into the building storage access. I'm still waiting to get my credit back for the rest of the month, as we moved out earlier than expected. The kids on staff didn't know how to handle that. We spent thousands of dollars on storage and we had to argue to get our small credit back. Our last rental of a 10 foot van was even more pathetic with these kids, but that was another whole different contract. They need some proper staffing......for sure.

The location and services offered and the face to face the team is great but disregarding customer concerns and not relaying those or following up on those concerns I.e. addressing the above mentioned alarm issue, unacceptable.

On top of that, the loading bay (which is fabulous having a covered loading and unloading area) has a broken door at one end, so I had to do a 20 point turn around with my uhaul truck and trailer to get back out of the building!

I was told only my mattress was damaged, and when I returned I found many things missing from my storage unit including a bed frame, a desk, shelving units, and more. The manager Cale never sent me updated that he said he would send me and it’s not been 3 months I’ve been trying to deal with this with no help from any Uhaul employees. I didn’t receive any compensation, nor any free months for the inconvenience.

Your alarm system doesn’t take into account how stupid some people are (occasionally myself included) and when the alarm goes off every 15 minutes it doesn’t seem like an effective deterrent does it? You need to find a way to allow 24 hour access, that was the biggest inconvenience. People keep wrecking your bay doors because you can’t expect someone who daily drives a Honda to grasp the height difference of a cargo van, for all the warnings you have in place to protect the doors nothing seems to work long term. I’ve worked in shops before and the solution for door dings was to invest in the door motor that opened the door as fast as possible. People are impatient. Just my two cents.

Donald M | First ImpressionsThe doors worked only half the time ...bring back card swipe just was no good...could not get too my stuff 5 times in mounth as parking lot fully blocked with u haul truck garbage building cheers plow it down please put something worthy of people's money that they're spending ridiculous that you only have two days for cars and they're always blocked with all the U-Haul trucks lined up that are being brought back your door buttons are falling off it doesn't have automatic sensors when you're ready to go out you have to get out and push the button and then it closes before you even get your truck going ridiculous the alarm is ridiculous you punch it in it says you're good to go and then it goes off bring back your card swipe not just the PIN there's there's only three carts available inside most of time one person takes all three so the whole facility is good for one person at a time it's a thing ridiculous in a city that has over 200,000 coming in and out should plow this dump down and make it a little bit more like the West Kelowna U-Haul

The alarm system was so incompetent, I would never recommend this location, or use it again myself. What kind of security system are your customers paying for? A useless alarm system that went over a year without being fixed. During the handful of times I visited the Kelowna Uhaul Storage, the loading bay doors almost always had a problem, ie: being permanently open and unable to close. Again no security. If these problems were temporary, that would be one thing. When the problem is ongoing for years, it's intentional. I'm glad everyone has a phone with video these days, maybe the security incompetence at Uhaul Kelowna will be addressed because of social media. Or most likely when there is a major incident that ends up on the News. Other than the constant alarm ringing and complete lack of security, it was a great experience. The staff was friendly and professional, the facility was clean, and the hours were great.

And why raise it at all. I wasn't getting anything more for my money. I left the last storage company because they kept doing the same thing. I found uhaul provided everything you need for moving. A one stop shop, very convenient and affordable, plus having a space to leave used boxes and pick up used boxes is such a good idea. Have not found anyone else that is doing that and it recycles boxes

First problem, the guy Peter who signed me up, charged me for a lock without asking me. I had U-haul storage at West Kelowna location last year and I had purchased a lock already. So, I directly saw the charges on the bill. Not good! Secondly, I reached the facility around 6 30 pm and the very first thing they tell me is a heads up that they are closing in 30 minutes. OKAY! Wow..... no Hi, no Hello, no welcome to U haul etc. Just concerned about what time it says on the clock. And its not even that I came in around the last 10 minutes of their working hours when they give me a heads up. We had a good 30 minutes to get the paper work done etc. Now the guy who signed me up was interested in closing the shop and running home so he didn't care to show me to my storage unit. He gave me a map and then I was on my own in a huge labyrinth. At west kelowna location, they were way more courteous and professional. The lady walked me to the storage, showed me how to operate it and gave me some tips on locking it correctly etc.

No one came to "lock me up" so to speak when the alarm went off...so eventually I ignored it. Other than that...the only issue was not being able to do autopay with my debit...so I had to wait in long lines most times to pay monthly. I'm sure it would make it much easier on the staff if you accepted debit autopay. Over all...a positive experience though.

When we tried reaching out to the manager, he would never come out of the office or call back. When I finally removed my belongings, I was sent another bill, didn’t pay it, so was charged late fees for an empty unit. My original truck was cancelled at this location and I was told that the next similar truck was about 1.5-2 hours away. I went in to try to find an alternative and the East Indian guy working at the front desk was very rude to me, kept talking over me and at one point told me to be quiet and call “that” number, even though a number had not been provided. He didn’t try to help me one bit. I asked him what the point of making a reservation was and he simply said that it wasn’t guaranteed. So I said, you mean to tell me that the company makes a hundred reservations and only fills like 10 of them and he replied, “yes”! I asked again for clarification to make sure that I was hearing him correctly and that he understood what I was asking. Same response. As I was in the phone, on hold, with a number that he finally provided me, his co-worker came up and asked if I needed any help. I told her my issue and she provided me with an alternative to get a smaller truck but take multiple trips. Although not the ideal situation, it was a far better than not having any truck or solution to the problem. She was also there the day that we picked up the truck and was very helpful once again. Needless to say my experience was not what it could have been if I hadn’t of been treated with such disrespect and rudeness. You’re very lucky to have someone like the girl that smoothed things over otherwise our experience could have been a whole lot worse.

I know staff shortage is a major issue for a lot of companies right now but if there were more people working in the office it would really help with the congestion and the long wait times 2. Because uhaul isn’t just a storage facility and it’s main focus are renting out trucks it’s causing a lot of problems meeting customer needs 3. Customers should not be able to book storage units online without at least having a staff member physically check that the unit is indeed available and empty! I paid for a unit on the ground floor and when I went there someone’s lock was on my unit which was under my name and judging by the size of the door there’s no way it was a 10x10. I tried to call the office using the intercom located nearby and no one answered which made me have to drive all the way back around to the office and wait in line and the time I could speak to someone and have the problem figured out I lost significant time that I needed to move out of another unit at a different facility making me and the person who had graciously offered to help rush, if I had hired movers this would have wasted their time and mine and costed me money 4. This caused a lot of frustration, especially because when I’d first come in to pay for the unit I requested to see it for myself which the employee didn’t agree to do, but if they had this problem could have been prevented. Staff should be taking customers on a quick tour of the facility to show them how everything works and be able to see their unit to make sure it’s available and empty and I know this is protocol because I witnessed one of your employees doing this with another customer 5. The broken garage EXIT door. Is a real safety hazard, because the only way to get in and out of the loading garage is through one door while the other one is unusable because a serious safety issue and I’m aware this isn’t Uhauls fault, I was told a customer had run a truck or their vehicle into the door and was told that this happens a lot, so if that’s the case then a better system needs to be put in place or there needs to be a staff member there monitoring customers moving in and out or leave the doors open during moving hours 6. Poor security system, I can’t tell you how many times I was startled to death because the alarm was triggered every single time I was up in my unit working! I assume because people forget to put in their code the first time the enter and before they’re about to leave. It’s terribly annoying and upsetting, that alarm is not quiet! At my previous storage you had to put your code in only when you wanted to move the elevator UP to another floor or if you wanted to access the bathroom but that’s it. If you entered your code in wrong the elevator simply wouldn’t go anywhere, it never triggered the alarm. 6. Clearly the locks that you must purchase were never intended for the mechanism on the door because it’s extremely difficult to put it on there and take it off, it should be a-lot easier, making it this hard creates more issues since people sometimes need to force it making it easier to damage or break and then no one can use the unit at all! 6. There’s no manager on site. Your staff are doing the best they can but they are overworked, overwhelmed and lack training and experience which means they need a supervisor to handle any issues that arise Anyways I’m sorry if it sounds that I have nothing good to say, I’m quite happy with the price, the trolleys are very smooth and easy to maneuver and although I now don’t have a ground level unit anymore and have not been issued a refund for my lock and one day this mishap costed me where I couldn’t use my unit, like I was promised I do like the indoor loading zone and Uhauls general set up and I think it’s possible for Uhaul to be so much better, I’ve been a customer for many many years, rented many moving trucks and I’d love to actually see them thrive and even consider helping them implement it.

I would suggest that you cross off the times on the paper people are given as well as have the times changed on the online accounts. Also I was told I had to buy one of your locks, which was fine, but you did not have any new ones so I paid for a used one. When I put the lock on with no problem however when attempting to open it the next day, it would not work. I was told that I had to hire and pay a locksmith out of my own pocket to gain access to my locker because the locker I bought from you did not work. Once I had the lock removed I went to go buy a new lock from Home Depot in the style that I was told was mandatory. When I came back to put it on, my locker was open and contents moved. I understand that I should have locked it however I had a hard time finding the type of lock. When we came back our locker was wide open. I was also not able to get my money back from the broken lock that was sold to me. I really have no time or energy to continue discussing this as it is a very stressful time. These are my mother's belongings and she is dying so I just needed to get her things in a unit.

Also they made me buy a lock from them simply because they didn't like the one I had and said I couldn't use it on their locker. A couple of weeks into the rental I then got an email informing me that my monthly fees would be going up an additional $10 per month. To top it all off they don't list a phone number for the actual Kelowna location anywhere on their website so if you want to talk to someone at the office you literally have to drive all the way down there and do it in person. This place is a joke. Glad to have it out of my life!

Dawn H | Overall Experience1) Staff put an extra lock in my storage unit even when the monthly rent was being withdrawn from my credit card every month 2) The excuse was that I did not have a proper lock in my unit, although the lock we used was a uHaul branded and recommended lock 3) When I complained about this I was informed that they had left a telephone message advising me to change the lock to a round style lock to get in line with security guidelines 4) When we rented the unit those locks were out of stock and on the recommendation of the staff at the time we used an alternative uHaul lock 5) I was unable to change the lock even if I wanted to because I was in Calgary at the time of the message and I would not have spent $550 for a trip to Kelowna just to change the lock. 6) I had a very poor experience with your staff this time not only because of this, but because uHaul had messed up my trailer reservation for Monday, September 27 and given me notice just a day before that my trailer was a 4X8 instead of the 5X8 I had reserved in August. Your staff was not very helpful in trying to redress this poor planning on the part of uHaul blaming the central scheduling unit of uHaul for this poor treatment

I was rented a vehicle storage stall that wasn't even available as it was covered in construction debris. I walked around and around trying to find my spot, not a single person available to help me. Finally another customer helped me out. I did finally find a staff member to help me but he was reluctant to do so (but still friendly once we started walking and talking). Got my stall switched to one that was actually available. Then I needed to refund a storage lock I had just purchased as it wasn't required. Not sure why I wasn't told that when I was purchasing it. The same staff member tried to refund the lock but did not have the authority to do so. Asked manager to come and help but manager refused to do so. Told staff to have me leave the lock and it would get refunded - it never did. I called the call centre numerous times. They tried to help and emailed Uhual asking Uhaul to call me. No one ever contacted me. Worst experience ever. I will never recommend this company for vehicle storage. The hours I wasted trying to just get some help are astonishing.

I was told I couldn’t unload because they were closing in 15 mins, although it’s secure with a code etc. There I am with a rented trailer that had to be back that night, my hired help and a storage space I couldn’t access. So although the space was acceptable, the service I received was terrible. Some staff friendly, others not.

We were charged for storage again in July. We went in and spoke to a “manager” who apologized and told us it would be rectified that day. We were charged again in August. Again, we went in and met a different manager who apologized, told us there was a lot of staff turnover but assured us we would receive a refund that day. We were charged again in September. We went into the location yesterday and met with Cale - he handled the situation on the spot, provided us with receipts for the refund of the overcharged amounts. Cale was the first, and only, employee who was professional and dealt with the situation. Thanks very much to Cale.

A complaint I have is that every time I used the bathroom, it was always dirty with garbage overflow, dirty floors and toilet & the sink always had gross stuff in it. Also only having 1 bathroom for a facility that size is ludicrous!! At the very least there should be a washroom on every floor. The times I’d gone to my unit there was a young woman pushing a cleaning cart, yet I seen her spending more time texting and talking on her phone then pushing a broom. Regarding access to the facility, it should be a 24 hour availability. There’s already security in place so why not have 24 hour accessibility. However I’ve had interactions with the manager who is extremely nice and accommodating. The rest of the staff were fairly helpful, yet you can tell they don’t really care about the job.

Alarms Go off all the time making it redudant, and useless. Nobody cares about alarms. They should be turned on only at night-time and a Security Officer should come not staff. Air Conditioning was not on at the srcond level making it unbearable this last week. And some of my antique Collection was littered with debris from maintenece cutting holes in the ceilling from leakage repairs. I have photo's to prove. The manager was very helpfull though. Considering Lack of help during the end of the month times. Very busy here in Kelowna. I hope these comments will help rectify some of these issues. Thx Hans Horn.

No estimate on when the repairs were going to be performed or completed. Furthermore, lots of individuals disregarding face masks - no staff to enforce mandatory mask guidelines. Lastly, they've so far charged me for my pre-authorized amount for my van rental, however, I used significantly less kilometers than I had estimated. No final breakdown of the final bill was emailed to me. Staff was friendly enough, but this facility is lacking some fundamentals in some significant areas as outlined.

It’s overpriced, the access hours are inaccurate, the elevator and bathroom were gross, and they double charged my boyfriends credit card for his storage unit and then locked him out of it anyways(for apparently not paying). It took an hour to get someone to come down to unlock it while we were trying to move. Staff were friendly but they’re clearly understaffed. Every single time we’ve gone to get something from our units in the 3 months we rented for, either the gate was locked early or the floors were being polished so we were denied access to our specific units. I don’t know why they need to polish the floors so often but don’t clean the elevator or bathroom. We pay close to $200 EACH for our units and to be locked out 2 hours early after driving half an hour to our belongings is disappointing and frustrating. We can’t even call to see if we would have access because it takes an hour long hold to reach someone at the store. Access clearly says online 5am to 10pm but gate was locked at 8pm, sometimes even 7pm. Truly disappointing 3 months.

He was late rude and just started taking things way. Like my access remote which i PAY FOR MONTHLY. He just walked up one morning a demanded it. No explanation. Just an absolute jerk. His hygiene was poor and he RARELY WAS SEEN WITH A MASK ON. You could see his facial herpes as he demanded my access remote control. I frequently saw him sneaking cigarette breaks everytime he would issue a trailer rental. Just and awful man. He was short with my fiancée. We were very loyal customers. Were is the key word and we and encouraging everyone to move out of uhaul before they are abused too. The younger staff were quite accommodating and helpful. They deserve good treatment and praise. But the man needs to go. Bring back Andrew. He was fantastic

Port moody would not honor it and your location would not give me the free month instead. It was noted on my file and still no employee would honor it. I was told it was for a free truck rental and not the unit. I however know this to false as I have also had a conversation with them at the call center. A representative was supposed to.call me last week and did not. I was mislead and lied to about the free month. I decided to just move my stuff to a different company's storage. I feel I should get my free month reimbursed. Second on a more serious note. I have informed health canada about your employees disregard of the mandated mask rules. First time I entered, I stood in line for 5 minutes or so. 3 gentlemen had no mask on, an employee in a red shirt, just had his mouth covered and was talking to another person on the other side of the glass, that seemed like an employee off duty doing some inquiring of his own with his mask off. I politely mentioned the masks, they all gave me an excuses of different reasons then put them on. I mentioned it was mandated and they agreed to that statement and apologized. Not acceptable from a national company. I cleaned out my locker and entered again to inform them and one of the same guys had his mask off again. I am sure corporate will find this highly unacceptable. Please discuss and set mandated orders at your facility. This letter is meant to not only state my grievance, but also to serve a a respectable reminder to please ask and demand your employees follow mandated health guidelines. I was at your location from about 1130 to 1230ish on Saturday May 22

One member of the staff initially refused to honor the one free month with a truck rental because we were renting two units after renting two trucks. He finally relented. After a poor review the manager contacted us and offered us a free month to make up for the hassles. New management came in and we had to fight again for that free month. We were told the new manager would call us. Two days went by and no call. Called again and were told manager would call us. No call ever came so we had to go in to the facility to make sure the free month was actually in place. When we moved out the young man behind the desk looked like he wanted to be anywhere but where he was and he had his earphones in and was tuning into his phone/music before he finished the transaction (receipt was printing). No one said "thanks for being a customer/using our services" or "we appreciate your business." I would never recommend this facilty to anyone. Go to Rutland - 1606 Findlay Road - where the staff are friendly, helpful and make you feel good about using the services. We rented our last truck from them and are so glad we did.

ROXY H | First ImpressionsThis is a hard review to write because the facility is great and offers a drive in, drop off experience that is perfect no matter what the weather. For the most part the staff are wonderful. Management is another story. We found the managers to be rude, profit motivated and difficult to deal with. When we moved in the facility was out of padlocks and asked us to use our own. We did. We checked back in a few days to see if the locks were in and they weren't. A few days later we received notice that our lock had been cut off and a UHaul lock installed on our unit. They took the time to send an email but didn't take the time to call us and let us know, instead choosing to ruin our perfectly good lock taken from our storage shed. This is just one example of the issues we had with the facility. We also had to fight to get our free month that came with renting a truck. We rented a moving truck in our former city and received a free month for that. When we rented a second truck from this location to finish up our move they absolutely did not want to give us another free month on a second unit. The manager was rude about it and very begrudgingly gave it to us. That said the staff we have dealt with in our daily interactions have been friendly and helpful.

When we arrived at Uhaul in Kelowna on Enterprise Way we were greeted with great customer service and support by a very understanding young man, which made up for the negative experience the day before. The male manager of this location gets beligerant and downright rude when we are attempting to clear up disputes caused by his staff's previous misinformation given to us. Negative 5 stars.

I thought I would have a refund for the remind of the month but I didn't. I paid the units online for December's month even thou I knew that we were using just for a few days, but that's what honest people do, pay their bills, right? However, the units are sitting empty now, u-haul took the whole monthly payment and will rent the same units and will make more money! That's the only issue that I have! Thank you!

On the flip side, every time I spoke to the GM (Andrew) I had a bad experience. He's a horrible little man with the wrong attitude for dealing with people, be they staff or customers. I moved my rental to Spacious Storage for the above reasons.

As I go to bring my boat in they say that my reservation confirmation was no good as the manager had just given ours places away. The fact that I got it resolved after hours of working on it myself and pushing the staff to get something done. Shows a lack of management and organizational skills. I feel that head office or corporate or whoever may have given all our spots away dealt with the customers extremely inappropriately. I believe for all the inconveniences and the sheer lack of trust your company shows. That they would give some kind of gratification or credit to the customer like myself. I am happy to be in the storage unit with my boat but by far had to work very hard to get it. The staff that was on site and Kelowna worked very hard to try and help me out. I do not know who was to blame for this but two years in a row is too much

Cheryl W | Overall Experiencethe Manager Andrew has been awesome to work with, as the last one was a disaster, but the internal system to book and secure a spot needs work! 2 years in a row i have had nothing but frustration to get my boat in and this year im overpaying for a spot because, the system did not allow me secure the spot after i was told that I was good and even with a confirmation number i was not secure at all and I was lucky to get a spot, I told the clerk that I was ready to start paying for a spot and I was not charged and the spot was given to someone else, the system needs work, but im sure you have the right guy at the helm, andrew is great thxs

When I signed up I was not asked if I wanted the protection plan. Then I was called a liar for saying that I wasn't offered the protection plan. I will be going to the papers in Vancouver Kelowna I'm going to go write the city. I believe people were going into my locker and stealing stuff because I am missing a lot of stuff. I will definitely b protesting against U-Haul.... I'm very upset and unhappy

Very inconvenient to have to go into the office, line up, then ask someone to open the back door. When I first rented the storage space over a year ago, I was told that they would be putting in some kind of key fob or card access system. This never happened. If it had been done, I would have probably stayed there.

They are ruined and I need new ones. Second of all, the day I’m checking out, no one notices my wife and I and are 2 year old daughter are still in the compound getting our vehicle to leave and they locked us in. There is no one around to let us out as they closed with us still in the place! And you can’t call anyone because you end up getting people in the states as they are an American company. We were locked in there for over an hour and they wouldn’t believe us because they couldn’t see us on camera or something... terrible experience your better on to pay for a proper storage facility as I went to save a little bit of mo way but your better off for a 24 hour storage facitily as they’re hours are terrible and they don’t really care about you like they should

Was told we could go anytime and drop stuff off, wasn’t true. Trying to call, is a nightmare. Get put on hold forever, then get hung up on. The workers don’t seem to have a clue what you’re asking or talking about, 3 or 4 people to actually understand. Oh and the constant reminders if you don’t pay....3 texts, 5 emails and 3 letters sent, that’s a tad extensive

harry s | Overall ExperienceOn move out I noticed quite a bit of mouse droppings in my storage unit. This was quite alarming to me as we moved from out of province and used your storage facility to keep our house contained basically. All our precious items were there and to know that mice were all inside and around our belongings, really made us very uncomfortable. Being in the food industry I am quite aware of “hantavirus” and it’s effects to humans through inhalation of the droppings. We had to clean and sanitize all items that we took from the storage unit after finding the traces of mouse droppings. This took up a lot of our time. We were more than unhappy with this and when I asked your staff about it, they responded with “did you have insurance?”.Unfortunately we did not purchase the optional insurance when renting the unit. We did not realize this was a problem and if I had known your facility was infested with mice, I wouldn’t have done buisness there let alone bought insurance. Your staff needs to be better trained and perhaps educated on hantavirus and it’s effects. To me insurance is for things like , theft, fire, floods. Not mice!! I will never use this facility again or recommend it.
Daryl S | Overall ExperienceMy vehicle was parked in the storage facility on Oct 16/19 to Apr 14/20. The storage space couldn't have been dirtier when I picked up my van. It is the dirtiest it has ever been since owning it for the past 21 years. Everything in that facility was covered with thick construction dust. Every customer that used/using this place deserves a refund or rebate for the treatment their vehicles have suffered. The owner should be ashamed of how their customers have been treated. Absolutely disgusting!! The only thing that should be stored there is piles of dirt or gravel.
Doug R | Overall ExperienceI would like to talk to anyone from head office regarding my experience this winter. Last fall I rented a 40’ space for my boat to be parked in over the winter as I do every year. I was delayed by a month to move my boat in my spot as someone else was using the spot to park in even so I had already paid for the space. Every time I went to check if the unit was ready it wasn’t and in turn I paid for a month of storage $326 and wasn’t able to use the space. I asked the manager to let the people know that were parked in my spot that I would like them to pay for that month, he said he would look into it but he never called me back. Over the winter there was significant construction in the building and extreme amounts of dirt and dust in the building. Between my boat and my car I had just over $500000 worth of stuff in the unit which was completely covered in an inch of dirt and dust. I have a huge cleaning bill now due to the construction that was done inside the building over the winter it would have been nice to have been advised this was happening so myself and everyone else storing stuff could’ve made other arrangements or at least cover our possessions up to avoid this mess.
