I was charged another $40+ dollars because I couldnt return at exactly 0800 again. This is not a good business model. I will go buy a trailer before using UHaul again.
ZACHARY DTrailer wiring was faulty causing no running lights. If it was touched the brake lights and turn signal stopped working. d ring was stuck in a concrete or mortar clump, sand in the front of the trailer.

Two people at the desk one helping people and the other one not doing anything but bobbing his head to his music with his headphones on. AL LMake sure the inside of the truck is looked at before letting customers use it. I understand it is mostly a "work truck" as it is used for moving stuff but there was a cigarette left half-smoked inside the cupholder and the whole inside of the truck smelled like it had been smoked in. The smell was disgusting. Not to mention the amount of dirt and crumbs on the seats.

DAVID RCustomer service was great, it was my first time renting and she explained everything to me in detail and even showed me the process up to returning it. However, the truck itself was kind of dangerous to drive due to the steering wheel not being aligned, you have to steer it most to the right to make it drive straight which was kind of off but everything else was great. Just throwing it here so it can be inspected or something.

There was a safe lot for us to leave our personal car during our rental period. The only improvement I would recommend is to fix the large pothole in the driveway/lot. We will definitely use this location again if we need to rent a UHaul vehicle!

cole m | Overall ExperienceI reserved a truck in my area which was Chesapeake, instead I had to drive 29 miles out of the way to pick up in the deep of Suffolk. I really felt like I paid too much for U-Haul. Rate was 49 miles over what I traveled. Even the gentleman at the drop off location at my destination said it was higher than he had seen before. I really think there should be a credit back to customers in situations like this. Because if we go over quoted miles we definitely get charged.

MAXINE HI had no issues with the service at the Holland Rd location. However, I initially reserved a 15' truck at Meadows Express, 31059 Smiths Ferry Rd, Franklin, VA. I received a phone call the following morning telling me there was no 15' truck available. I was told they did have a 20' truck available and the representative stated he would reserve that at the same cost as the 15'. I received email confirmation for both reservations. However, that night at 7pm--the night before my planned move--I received a call from another representative stating they only had a 26' truck available at that location. I asked how was a 20' reserved if they only had a 26'?? No possible answer. I agreed to the 26' truck due to being in need of a moving truck. Upon arriving at the site on 11/15 for pick up at 7:30am, I received a text stating some of my "equipment" was not available and it supplied a phone number to contact. I made contact at the number provided and was informed there was no way to access my truck via app, that I would have to wait until the store opened. At that I informed the rep that there was no way the 26' truck would fit at my townhouse complex and that all other sizes of trucks were sitting in the lot. I was informed they were all rented. The only option I had was to travel 40mins to Suffolk to pick up a truck at the Holland Rd location. It was a very frustrating experience overall. It put me behind in my moving and held up the movers I had. Is there any way that you can update the app to only show what is available at each location???
Elizabeth TI have nothing but positive feedback to give regarding my experience at the facility with the representative who helped during pick up and the cleanliness of the truck. This was my first time driving a U-Haul truck and it was scary. Probably because I had never driven one. Lol. But I appreciate all of the help from the team at the office and will refer everyone I know to go to this facility for moving needs!

PHILLYS KCreated a reservation and purchased their daily insurance online. After providing a license, I was handed keys to their pickup truck and out the door in about 15 minutes. No issues with performance. The flatbed was a little hard to clean out, but I believe that's my inexperience more than a truck problem. The only inconvenience was trying to scan the QR code for the "Mobile Return" after 7:00pm. It doesn't work, luckily a nice employee came out and assured me it'd be ok. It was! I would rent from here again!
Isaac BVan was clean enough, I guess. The windows were really dirty we had to stop early on to clean them. Looked like white dog or cat hair in seats.

BARNEY EThe whole UHaul team did a great job, we had a situation when we arrived at original location that equipment was not returned by previous renter and there was no other vehicle available there. One call and it was all taken care of and within one hour we were at this location and given excellent 20ft vehicle and extra time and miles to cover our inconvenience. This location was totally professional service oriented and super helpful.
William KBetter customer service. The guy (white guy, bald head, with tattoos) wasn’t very personable. He seemed like I was bothering him the whole time. Then when I was leaving after my pickup I said “Thank you” and his response was “umm hmm”. No smiling or eye contact the interaction.

King MI selected a location that was closer to my final destination for the drop off and mid move I received a text to drop off the trailer at a location that was further away. Once we dropped the trailer off at the location that the text from uhaul instructed us to I was charged an additional $45 for additional miles. Why I uhaul? I would have never drove to that location to racking up miles but you had me think that I had too. So unprofessional and trashy.

The biggest gripe with this location, there is a giant pothole in the middle of the entrance, very welcoming for an accident to happen and damage customer equipment.

They assert that this is just the way it is and force customers wanting the use the storage facility to wait. This is a poor business practice and is fixable if they had the will to do so. Furthermore, they should be eager to move the vehicles instead of acting like they are being inconvenienced.

I had to change times on several occasions. I was told the drop off was Tuesday due to the inconvenience that wasn't true. My card was charged at the end for charges I didn't authorize nor agreed with due to the extra milage given wasn't shown on the check in computer at this location. This was an extremely difficult move considering all the equipment and locations weren't convenient to the address given. I also was told that $50 would be refunded to my card for the inconveniences that never took place either. A complete nightmare

No other units available. This is extremely frustrating when you’re moving from out of town with a rented trailer. There is no light or working power outlets.
