The only issue I have is. I was charged for additional mileage to an order. I picked the truck up. Drove it straight to the storage site. Then straight to my home and the. Dropped it off. How should that be cause for additional mileage? Thank you. Other than that it was perfect

The truck I rented was just awful to drive. It really needs attention. I returned it late at night. I was not aware that I had to create an account just to return it after hours. I was quoted One price and understood that it could be a little different but I noticed charges on my debit card that I didn't allow. I fill the tank up to the point where I was supposed to had it clean and took pictures. I was sitting downtown Suffolk at near midnight until my ride got there and not knowing how to turn this truck in. So I wrote a note with the key. I am not happy.

1) One of the rear running lights was very dim and did not function properly. 2) However, our real issue is with the reservation team, the marketing company, who took our reservation. They misrepresented the location (2nd floor storage unit) and availability at the Lodi storage facility (the two units were NOT not side-by-side as promised), they also failed to disclose the hitch requirements for the trailer, and as a result we incurred significant inconvenience, additional expenses and damages, as well as additional unexpected time and mileage. When your company makes false representations and makes false promises in order to secure a reservation, knowing it will be the facility issue on the other end; that is poor and unethical business practices. I have called U-Haul customer services 10 times since June 23rd regarding these issues, and most recently the marketing company president, and I have yet to hear from a manager. For these reasons and a plethora of others, we are disputing the charges with our bank.

Their showroom is very small. They should put a bench outside so you can sit down while you are waiting. They also need to address a new client when they come in and give an estimate of how long it will be before they get with them.

Not a thing needs improvement at this location. The store manager Justin Smith is amazing. This is my second time dealing with his store and he by far has the very best customer service has to offer! I had an unusual situation and he was empathetic and generous with his resolve to my problem. Can’t thank him enough! The facility is top notch and the grounds and bathrooms are immaculate! Improve your service by hiring workers who are welcoming to their customers. Do not make customers feel uncomfortable by racially profiling them and following them out of the establishment because you are assuming they are criminals or are gonna commit criminal acts with the Uhaul. Worst experience ever and I will no longer be depending on Uhaul for my moving needs.

I needed more time added to my rental. I was told it would be "extended". I was told new contract was not needed, only "extended I agreed to pay $40.00 CDW in original contract for 5 days, but on return I was accessed an additional $40.00 for the the 4 additional days. This was not pointed out to me and I think it was unfair not to do so.

I dropped off a trailer on Friday night, about an hour before closing. I asked the attendant if I could get a receipt for the turning in the trailer. He said I would get an email confirmation from U-Haul. I thought nothing of this, as this is exactly what had happened in the past when I turned in trailers. By Saturday afternoon, I still had not received an email, despite having called twice and being told it would arrive shortly. They normally arrive within a few minutes of drop-off. Because I had not received the email, I knew they had not checked my trailer in, and the U-Haul app confirmed this. It was still showing me as having the trailer. I finally had to drive back to the location. The trailer I had turned in was hooked up to a U-Haul truck about to be rented. The lady working this time was very helpful, and it took her less than a minute to check the trailer in, and I had the email confirmation within seconds after that. I don’t understand why the guy working the night before couldn’t have done this. I strongly prefer renting from and returning to U-Haul company stores like this one, but this is the worst experience I’ve ever had at one. The location was clean and well-stocked with supplies. I’ll chalk this experience up to an unfortunate one-off, and would go here again anyway. Hopefully someone at U-Haul will see this review take corrective action to prevent this from happening again.

The staff was very helpful even when I kept them 20 minutes past closing. I am unhappy about being charged a $25 cleaning fee and I am disputing it.

Owner/Gen Mgr Justin was obnoxious and requested 3 phone numbers from me as “contact in case UHaul needs to get a hold of me”. Then proceeds to call my cell number to verify. Then asks if he may call my wife, which I didn’t allow since at 9AM it was too early after a long night of loading. So he asks for an alternate (the 3rd) number. He stated this was UHaul Policy. I rented 3 Trucks in the last 4 weeks and NO-ONE else did this. Then after wasting 1 hour with an inoperable turn signal issue and blowing multiple fuses on my truck, it was discovered by a very nice mechanic that it was the trailer that was faulty. After switching trailers, no more issues. Justin didn’t even apologize. Poor experience.
