John KI had my total go from $53 to $231 for location drop off which is unfair giving I was told I can drop off at any location.
Sonia Wpeople working the counter were rude, i heard one of them get snarky with another couple who was returning their uhaul rental. the truck i got had like 3 lights on the dash, one for the tire monitor system. the latch for the pull down door on the back of the truck kept getting stuck, like it needs to be replaced or hit with some serious WD40. truly the worst part was the way the people working here talk to customers.

MEHAJAMIN NI'm 5"3 unfortunately I had to put a pillow behind my back and drive because the seats are not adjustable. I could not reach the pedals. I tried to use it up without a pillow and it was very dangerous.

DAVID KWhen I got there, my car transporter was buried on the snow. The first one had broken wire so I had a back it back in, and then get another one again loaded with snow. They knew I was coming to pick it up I think they should’ve had it ready and cleaned off, I understand up there gets a lot of snow but I let them know. I’m coming 24 hours before I was going to get up there and they had plenty of time to pull it out and clean it off. I took their shovel and shoveled off the snow on the trailer , I also had smelled a slight smell of weed in the office. There were only two people working there both nice but laid-back kinda we live in a world of service being a businessman for 25 years a successful one at that I know it’s hard to get good working people , the odds a mess no one does anything to make it good. The area where you pull your vehicle into get inspected and cleaned off the tarp was loaded with snow and tearing and at any moment can come down and kill somebody that’s a death trap you need to do a lot of work there , sorry for the bad report

JENNIFER KTruck not ready, trapped in a line of trucks covered in snow. Pre-ordered blankets not loaded. Employee did not offer to clear windshield of ice and snow. Check engine light came on almost immediately the next day. The shocks on this vehicle audibly bottom out with a thud when you brake with a full load. All in all, the weirdest and worst U-Haul experience I have ever had. Back on Friday for another truck though. We’ll see how it goes.

JAMES JI was told that the gas gauge was set to 1/4 quarter of a tank at the start of my rental. After the first 5 minutes of driving the truck, the gas gauge was well below the 1/4 quarter mark after driving 8 miles from the U Haul location. The entire trip itself was 23 miles and we had to stop and fill up $15 of gas. When I returned the truck, I was told that this is normal. I disagree and do not think for a 23 mile drive I should have had to fill up.

GASIM IDriver side mirror was broke and kept moving which was causing possible accidents. Power steering was really bad. Brakes were very unpredictable. Inside of truck was disgustingly dirty and wet. There were no furniture blankets or a broom. Not to mention the staff that handed the keys to me was very unprofessional and rude. I will never rent from U-Haul again! Worst experience ever!

JENNIFER GA lot of times I come here the people don't know what they're doing they don't know how to do refunds when they make a mistake they're not watching they on the phone talking what are they talking to customers It's just a real horrible place there's never a manager on site and when there is a issue they take you through all these hoops and loops just to get it fixed and then it still is never fixed but you took someone else's money It's ridiculous. I have all these young kids trying to be large and in charge and most of them can't even do anything that needs to be done when they're there then they so busy lolly gagging around and playing they checking back in the trucks when they feel like it and then double charging you.
ANGEL CThe truck had a tire maintenance service on it, and the tire light was flashing. That was the only problem in concerned that I had other than the fact that I could not read my odometer so I could tell what I started at and what I ended it so I don’t know if I gain a credit or not. I like the service man. He was very kind. He was very friendly and he explained things that I needed to know. I also like the after all after our 800 lady because that is the only thing that is not clear when you return your vehicle what you’re supposed to do after hours so I ended up calling the 24 seven hotline so that needs to be made clearer and the key dropbox should be closer to the sign that way women at night time aren’t walking from the back of the building to the front trying to find where to drop the key off. I have the app on my phone, but it doesn’t have anything about the return policy. I’d like to know more about that overall I’ve never had any concerns with the U-Haul in Buffalo, New York thank you.
WILLA EThere was a loud noise coming from the truck. Associate advised that it was nothing to worry about. Found out there was little to no steering wheel fluid in the truck so was not able to back into driveway to load and unload. It was a major inconvenience as the vehicle was difficult to navigate. Was not able to return as it was the only that size at that location
SHAWNA BHard time finding help at drop off
ANDREW LNo one was in the office when we arrived to return our trailer. An employee showed up a couple of minutes later and was extremely grumpy from when he walked through the door. He told us to put the trailer in a particular spot. I told him there was a return vehicle in the way. He moved the truck and then told us to move the 6x12 trailer 5o' to the spot he wanted by ourselves. We could not get it any closer as the yard was cramped and we wer towing it behind a 40' motorhome. I told him "this is as close as I can get it with the motorhome. " He responded, "You should have parked the trailer on the street (150' away)". I told him, "There is no street parking. Can't you just use your trailer roller to move it. We'll help you." He said, "Not my problem, and we don't have a trailer roller." I told him again this is as close as we can get the trailer. He said "Just leave then." I responded, "What about paperwork?" he said "No Paperwork." so we left. This employee needs some serious customer service training.
PAUL RI was given a truck that was on empty! I was given a truck with a faulty dolly that I paid extra for! I was given a truck with a bad transmission and needed a tune up , the truck kicked back at any speed over 40mph!!!! This was the worse experience ever! Never Again

JOHN JMy recent experience at your location, unfortunately, fell below the standard of service I expect from your company. When I arrived, I interacted with a tall gentleman wearing glasses. Unfortunately, he was unhelpful and dismissive. I was traveling without my husband, and the credit card we were using was in his name. Instead of providing alternative solutions or answering my questions in a helpful manner, his responses were rude and lacked professionalism. My husband, who was on the phone at the time, also overheard the interaction and was equally dissatisfied with the tone and demeanor of the associate. Thankfully, another team member, a shorter gentleman with dreadlocks, stepped in and demonstrated exceptional service. He not only provided practical solutions but also went out of his way to assist me in connecting to the WiFi and downloading your app, which was greatly appreciated. However, additional issues arose when I requested specific equipment. The initial associate left it by the truck instead of placing it inside. When I asked him to move it into the truck, he complied but gave me the impression that my request was an inconvenience. As a General Manager with Hilton, I understand the challenges of dealing with difficult situations, but I also know the importance of professionalism and empathy in customer service. While I managed to handle the situation, another customer may not have been as understanding. Although I am grateful for the assistance provided by the second associate, the overall experience was disappointing and has made me hesitant to rent from this location in the future. Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback. I hope you take this as an opportunity to address these concerns and ensure a better experience for your customers moving forward.

THOMAS MYes, I can definitely refer a friend, but for my last service am not comfortable enough to do so and I’m very upset for this review or feedback because it’s the location that I always go to. But the vehicle was given to me. It was not safe driving needed it maintenance meaning breaking was horrible and driving in general.

They were playing loud trap music, every employee was obviously stoned out of their minds and I sat alone in the building for almost 10 minutes until someone came back to help me and then after kind of helping me they spent another 5 minutes making me wait while they failed to find a highlighter. It was tragic. Whole place reeked like weed too. Might as well had smoked a blunt in the store. Already told all my friends and family to never go to that spot

I asked if I would get access and he said if it's not working the next time I come he'd give me a new one. He gave me instructions on how to access the unit and how to move the furniture up. I told him that I had a free lock and he said ok it's there. When the movers came to meet me I forgot what the employee said about how to retrieve the furniture once we were up on the third floor. One of the movers went to get clarity and he was rude stating “I already told her”. Yes, he had told me however it was cold, and raining plus my first time being there, and I wanted to make sure I had the details right before going up to the third floor as there wasn't an elevator for us. We get up to the third floor and figure out how to get the furniture, they move it into the unit and there isn't a lock in there. So I had to go back down to the store and then back up to the third level. All he had to do was give it to me when I first mentioned it in the store at the beginning of our encounter. Overall, my experience was okay. It would've been great had he not been preoccupied with his phone and rude with each conversation.

That defeats the purpose of me reserving a storage unit I will be moving my belongings as soon as possible. The website and office rules and offers do not match and that is false advertisement.

This location is always very busy on the weekends and the people working and usually hustling even when short staffed like they were on Sunday. It looked like there was one person working and he was doing everything but was still extremely helpful when I needed help with the elevator.

Adrian R | Overall ExperienceLost about $38 in rent due to my moving date being moved up 3 weeks. I couldn't get refunded for weeks I would not be using it. My storage unit was a 4x4x4 upper unit and the ladder was always scattered and was a pain to move and load in. The unit itself is also not worth $50 a month. I was able to find a much bigger unit, almost triple the space, with a differn't company for only $86 here in buffalo. A unit of that size was going to cost me about $140/month at Uhaul. Staff was helpful, but your units are very overpriced for what you are getting.

He is extremely condescending and abrasive in his tone. He blatanly lied to me and told me that he didn't have any storage units available. I went to another location and was informed that there were in fact other units available at the Main St location. Tajh also took it as far as to completely skip helping me and attempt to help another customer when I was obviously next in line. When I spoke up about Tajh deciding to skip me he claimed he didn't see me, which made absolutely no sense considering that I was standing right in front of him. I plan to speak with Todd S and write a letter to your corporate headquarters in the very near future regarding my experience. Tajh has absolutely no business managing a customer service based environment. I would be surprised if this complaint is the first of it's nature the company has received regarding Tajh.
