STEPHEN SI originally asked for a 10x15 unit. Was given a 10x10 and a 5x10 due to availability. At one point I realized a 10x10 would be sufficient for my needs but was not allowed to close out the 5x10 and only keep the 10x10 unit. I believe that ended up costing me about $75 extra a month for about 5 months. Also due to having my rent charged strait to my credit card I was allowed access until 10 pm but the facility closes at 7, so I was kicked out of the facility on 2 occasions at 7 only to be able to sign back in after hours within half an hour. Not too big a deal but a bit of an inconvenience to have to literally drive around for 20 minutes then come back. Lastly I understand that at the end of their shift and employee wants to go home but they could be a little nicer when asking someone to vacate the premises. Overall I go what I needed from U haul and would recommend them but not without pointing out the interactions I experienced.

And said I would be reimbursed for not having moving blankets provided, the $100 deposit and extra gas ( as was returned with more than what was in when I picked up).

GILLES MCabin of the rental smelt like rotting flesh. Unfortunately I had to deal with it as to rental limitations on the size of the truck. Also the front passenger side bounced like the tire was not balanced properly and or tire rod beginning to break. I would like a follow up on this

patricia gEverything went perfect BUT ! - Insurance is now mandatory, this what the person there told me; which add up to $18.41+tax to the total, taking into consideration that i used it for no more than one hour !!. form $34.81+tax (19.95+13.86+1), i ended up with $54.22+tax. Is that what I customer is supposed to pay for less than one hour and 14Km of use (without thinking of gas price)?!! the $19.95 displayed price is just a misleading advertising. There should be a rate for hourly use and Km rate has to go down. For me, I'm not taking into consideration U-hall next time except if I have no choice..

CARL ACheck the odometers for malfunction. A more accurate estimate of the dispatch gas level for a proper refund. As a complaint: The odometer in the van I rented the first time (9 days ago) was faulty, It indicated that I drove 319 miles, when we only did ~17 miles. Thank God the agent at the counter immediately noticed that there was something wrong... Despite that, I felt like the van robbed me a little bit...

ARLENE APoor service! Disrespectful and rude ! After paying and getting home and looking at invoice i noticed that the out milage was not accurate! To answer your question how to improve for the next customer?? Well treat people with respect they deserve. Clean your vehicles ! And most importantly be accurate.... don t overcharge customers when you are marking down the out milage.Based on other reviews happens often!!! DO BETTER!!!!!
MARK JI payed for a unit for a year. My belongings were nice, as well as new. When removing my furniture from the unit, there was mouse droppings and urine on everything. It was disappointing and the lack of care taken was not acceptable. I now have to have my furniture steam cleaned! I will never choose uhaul again, unless I am refunded in some way for this huge inconvenience. You charge a lot, so you can do better!

SERHII OThis is a busy location and it would be helpful to have more counter staff available to help with the line up. Also during one of my visits this month your system crashed and the counter person had a hard time trying to complete my order and print my receipts. Just suggest your IT staff try to stay on top of these occasions and do their maintenance updates in the middle of the night (2-3am) not during peak rental periods.

KEVIN BI drove 18 hours and when I got there, they couldn’t even find my name. They gave me a storage that was already taken and had to find me another storage made me walk through several storage units with my bad hip messed up the paperwork and had to redo it, and left me waiting and only gave me a half an hour to unload where I was coming from out of town and had to head back out of town were very rude and would even give me the extra 10 minutes to load my storage when it was their fault.

ERIC JI reserved a trailer a couple of days in advance, when I picked it up it was full of ice and snow. Took me an hour to clean it out, they wouldn’t let me use a wrench to change my reciever ball so I was forced to spend another $50.00 on a new reciever and ball.
OWEN DService person talking to a coworker while processing my transaction 15 ft away from each other. Trailer was full of snow and ice and not ready when I arrived. I had a attendant advise me that he’s not going shovel all the trailers out, i simply wanted the one I was renting ready to go on arrival.

ARSENE JOur into was infested with mice. We have to replace our couch because of this. The truck was a sheet of ice in the back. My husband fell numerous times during the move. I am honestly very disappointed in the experience given how much it’ is to rent a unit and a truck. The truck was rusty and not well maintained at all.

Ethan RI had a storage unit in my name but it belonged to my best friend who lived on the island and it was just more convenient for him to put it in my name as he didn't like paper trails. He passed away in October and I'm a single mom on disability who's been struggling after having to pay for his cremation and final arrangements as well as my mortgage renewed at a significantly higher rate so I have been unable to pay for this unit as he paid it every month because it held his belongings. I have called the location on four separate occasions to speak to the manager And explain the situation to him so that he can understand those belongings are not mine but those of my best friend who passed away. Each time he was unavailable and so I left my name and number and was assured that he would return my call. I wanted to explain to him that I am in the process of remortgaging my house and will have the funds shortly to bring the unit up to date but I have not heard from him at all and get this email asking me to review U-Haul which must mean they closed the storage unit. So forgive me for the poor rating but I am absolutely disgusted with this location and the manager there for not once returning my call and allowing me to explain the situation. As well I also sent an email to the location and explained all this to them and I did not hear back on that either. Terrible customer service in my opinion

We were about 5 minutes away from being done, but made us put the ramp away, potentially move a half-packed load and get closer to the row of lockers - blocking 7 lockers with the way she wanted to park us. She said it would be 'inconvenient' for the trucks to have to go around us, even though there was lots of space. She then proceeded to stop and order two of my friends who were parked IN LEGAL PARKING SPOTS to move out of the spots and park way on the other side of the lot - for no good reason. Extremely disappointed. Will not do business with this location again due to the way we were treated. Very unprofessional, uncaring, and plain disrespectful.

No issues with security as the facility seems very well covered by cameras. Bonus feature is that is was also well covered with pest control traps to ensure that nothing got into the units to destroy peoples items. There are are good selection of various size units and enough carts to transport your items. Overall everything went smooth and I would definitely rent storage from you again should it be needed.

Additionally I used the app to submit a move out request but it was never addressed until I went in person several days later. It was unclear if this would have led to another months fee if it had been closer to the renewal date.

There was no lock in the unit when I got there. I went back to the front desk and she said 'it would be laying on the floor in the room, you'll have to look for it's. I left the facility without closing my locker door or locking it to get my rental truck. When I returned it was someone else at the front desk. I explained to him I didn't find a lock, and he was gracious enough to bring one with him and walk over to the unit with me to inspect to locker. He was very pleasant to deal with and even offered to call other facilities for me in The Saint John area after I explained to him this was temporary until I found a house in Saint john. He was very helpful, friendly and willing to try to help in any way he could.

If a gym can be 24/7 I would think uhual storage could be. It makes things extreamly inconvenient to try and get things done before 7pm. As someone who works till 5pm, that only gives me a 2 hr window to get anything done at the unit.

We couldn't get the doors to close. Tried the intercom, called UHaul, spoke to two people sho could not reached staff. The uhaul representative assured us we could leave. He was going to continue trying to reach local staff to assist. We left feeling that are belongings were no longer really safe.

That location does not live up to the usual excellent service I’ve been given by other locations in the past.

We had to scramble and find alternate arrangements for his belongings at 7 pm after we paid for the storage unit that we now will not use as we were denied access. NOT IMPRESSED!

I was informed this is due to some sort of error with the online site. However, I would have expected to be contacted if this unit was not available considering there was at least a week and a half between when the reservation was made to check in. The customer service rep checked me into an interior unit on the second level. After I considered what I needed to store I decided this was not a suitable unit and returned the next day to cancel the unit. Both days the customer service reps were pleasant and helpful. Both visits I encountered line ups of about 15mins and it would be nice to have another person helping serve customers at the desk or perhaps someone taking people just dropping off after their rental. I was also disappointed that the drive up units were just in the parking lot and not in a secure fenced in location.

When I showed up in person they used the address on my ID that I told them wasn't current and told them not to use it. Every message I got after that had the incorrect address despite repeated attempts to change it. -Didn't apply the insurance fee for some time, then my bill suddenly increased, and changed by dollars for awhile. -Entered incorrect information for my second contact -Alarm went off a number of times despite the fact that I was signed in -Received a phone call about a commercial shipment that had arrived for me (I did not have a business account, was expecting no such shipment, and was completely baffled). The caller left a message (my voice mail has my name) and when I returned the call they insisted at least once it was my shipment. I have no idea how they even got my number for it. -Was not informed about the switch to entry cards instead of a password. -Rodent deterrent didn't seem effective - there were a lot of mouse droppings (no food in storage room). -Rented a van and an appliance dolly to move - photos of van for damage were old, key wasn't with the van like it was supposed to be, van was not moved to the area it was supposed to be in, and dolly was not with it. Employees corrected it quickly when I reported it, which was great. But maybe if this site isn't going to pay attention to details and promises from online reservations, perhaps they shouldn't offer them at this location? I never knew what was going on, and the employees never seemed to know either. I gave up trying to contact them as things wouldn't get changed, people would be surprised I didn't know the thing they didn't tell me, and everyone was often unapologetic about errors. They fixed them quickly enough (so long as it wasn't my address and related info).

When he looked into why I didn't have access he discovered that the person in the morning didn't actually properly set up the card. They had done it as though I moved out instead of moved in. I went to access the locker and no one could find the booking - the reference number was not found - even though I had email confirmation. Luckily there was another 10x10 locker so I booked it myself. While I was there - waiting in line to be served - there were at least 4 other people who were trying to get trucks - they booked on line and had confirmation - but their trucks were no longer available. One lady was moving to BC / had to load up her house that day. She was in tears! Everything seemed soooooo disorganized - booking were lost - not available - it was chaos!!!! The staff were calm and good but it was crazy with people screaming and unhappy. You need to look at your system to tighten up inventory and demand. So people don’t arrive expecting what they booked and have to leave with nothing.

And when I checked out, the young girl was polite and efficient. But in between check in/out was not great. Door on unit would not stay open, was never fixed when asked. I requested a smaller unit months ago and was never provided any follow up to advise if one came available. When I failed to lock my unit properly, the staff put a large sticker on the unit advising everyone who walked by my door was open but failed to email or call me directly to go fix my lock. When Covid caused a lock down in Moncton for a few weeks, and only essential people could go into Moncton, UHaul manager Corey refused to honor an extension equivilent so I could get my unit cleaned out, instead causing me to pay another full month. Yes, he did give an extra three days so I could have the opportunity to rush into Moncton as soon as the city reopened. But those three days did not give me back a weekend. And even now, masks mandatory, there were people in and out without masks, loitering in front of door without mask, and no entrance/exot set up going into lockers to minimize crossover of traffic. Guess the poor attitude of the management is what brings this rating down.

Jennifer M | Online Move InThe storage facility alarm was incorrectly going off every 5-10 mins while we were there - how does the staff deal with that every day?! The check in/check out process took way too long. We were waiting in line for almost 20 mins to speak to an agent, then another 20 mins to rent the locker. Same when we were checking out - what a waste of 40 mins when we had so much to do! The automatic door didn't work (we had to pry open a door every time you want to go in or out of the facility). We did rent a truck to move out of the storage locker. The uhaul truck we rented was given to us its an empty tank (no gas - we had to stop and fuel up after moving and packing all day - this was the icing on the crap cake we had to deal with all day and just beyond annoying) The staff were fantastic, and really went above and beyond, but based on the other inconveniences, cannot give a higher rating. Staff is awesome, Uhaul needs to understand moving and storing is frustrating and needs to speed up the check in/check out process.

Our truck and storage was booked 3 weeks in advance and when we got there they did not have the size unit we booked or the floor level we were told they booked for us. They did agree, after me pushing for it, to give us 2 units for the cost of our unit we had booked. When we go up to the units, one is avail the other has a lock on it, so back down, lineup again to make this right. Cory served me this time and was amazing, he walked me to the unit showed me how to access the storage after hours basically went thru everything, which none of it was done by the first guy....it is a great facility but very unorganized. In the end Cory made it right but for the money you pay for these services you need more staff and more training,

We were also told the price was 89.95 but the 5x10 unit we took was 129.95. We spoke to someone who told us he would honour the 89.95 price. We would also suggest to do something to make the yard less congested near the entry door to make it easier to get turned around to back in for loading / unloading.

As soon as I walked in, it felt like my air conditioning at my house. They carts at the door were great. The elevator is huge. It could fit three carts at a time. The lighting is phenomenal.
