Great staff!
CHRISTOPH SI appreciate the courtesy of the staff members every time I needed there assistant. The location was safe and never had any issues. The only problem was when the gate came down on my roof of vehicle. The gate sensors were not working properly when leaving the premises. That should be address because it would cause damage to my vehicle. If I did not react quickly and backed up, it did hit the top of my rack of my vehicle thank God it wasn’t the hood of my SUV; otherwise there would have been damage or injuries. I was very pleased during my time at this location. For future reference, please check on the sensors going out of the gate.

TIFFANY SThe manager was rude, the equipment was not up to the standard yall advertised. It had a flat tire,the cause me to delay my trip. Went i went back to the rental store, another manager or an assistant have an attitude like is was my fault the equipment wasn’t inspected properly and give to me as it should. Have an horrible experience with yall and i will let people i know no to go to that store at the very least.
EDWARD PPick up was great! Drop off we stood there for 10 minutes while the clerk talked to another man about nothing U-Haul related. He didn’t even acknowledge us.
TAMMY LThe truck was awful. Drove and sounded horrible, and automatic truck, and it wouldn't shift up at times. Would stay revving up and not shift gears , was afraid to even take it on high way, should have offered me a discount or another truck. Very disappointed and wont go back to uhaul

CHARLES DThis was the BEST rental experience I've ever had (and I've done quite a few cross-country moves)! After the first location completely screwed me over (plan to submit a review on Google), I got redirected to this location. The equipment was new, clean, and ready to go (truck with tow dolly), and the staff was AWESOME! Very helpful, not just with the pickup but with info on drop off, as well as willingness to assist with any issues in transit. This location is first class!

DIANNA EI just recently had kidney transplant. I returned the van on time and asked the lady if i could sit while i wait 8 minutes for my uber she replied theres bo waiting room asked if i can use the chair in feont of her she had an attitude and said until a customer gets here i said fine . I than sat and she made a rude comment saying you are making me uncomfortable and got up and said ill just go outside . I the. Told ger just received kidney transplant have problems standing a short period of time she was rude and dismissive. . She didn’t have to comment that

CORDIE LWhen I rented the vehicle online from 1 PM to 8 PM, I was told that it would be a flat rate of 5997. I was then charged $87 and returned the vehicle after only two hours. This is ridiculous.
CHRISTINIA SEveryone was super friendly and expeditious for both the initial and return process!!! I would definitely drive past all the other U-haul options to support this location.

MICHAEL RCustomer service was very poor and they were not helpful. they were dismissive to my questions and comments. I won't go back there again the equipment was very old > 130k miles, it was broom clean but there were stains and caked in dirt in the corners.

TIMOTHY MI received a call 7:32am from Bree at the regional scheduling office to tell me the truck (I reserved for 8am) wouldn't be available at the location I selected. Bree told me the new location, it didn't open until 10am so I had to do online p/u process & get key from drop box. Needless to say, I was upset & asked for a supv Bree told me she didn't have one & after I questioned, Bree told me the supv was not avail. When I asked if I could speak with someone else, Bree told me I could hang up, call back to speak with someone else & she hung up. (Bree did disc the mileage rate as she said "that's all she could do") I had the business card from S Plaza location where I bought mattress covers so I texted Chauntel, told her the entire story and Chauntel apologized for the inconvenience (Bree never did apologize), Chauntel told me she could get the truck I needed by 8am or earlier if needed (Bree never showed a willingness to help). Chauntel at S. Plaza did what Bree in the Reginal office did not do - focus on a solution and not the problem. I was able to pickup the truck as scheduled without problem AND the staff at S. Plaza provided phenomenal customer service explaining the process start to finish, made sure I had all the equipment I needed and even apologized for any inconvenience I experienced!! I could not have asked for a better experience as I had at the S. Plaza location! Chauntel saved the day and the staff made the process a smooth one! I highly recommend the S. Plaza UHaul location!
ANGELA BEquipment was not well maintained resulting in pin bolt falling off. They instead charged me for $86.00 for the pin that fell. Will never rent from them again.
EMMANUEL AActually recommend the appropriate size truck per the customers needs. Be more accountable & accommodating when addressing an issue caused by misinformation on the associate providing their "expertise" suggestions.

Equipment (outside) in order , easy to access, and clean ,ready to use. Process was clear and left few questions. Thank you for a great rental experience. Jean MAppliance dolly and furniture dolly not in truck ready to go. I had to go inside and then the clerk didn’t even get up out of his seat to get me the items he just pointed and said just take those. Then the weather stripping on the passenger side door fell off when I opened the passenger door and there was a crack in the windshield.
Amy HThe attendants, Bryan R and the lady at the next window, were not only courteous but they made my check in fun. I enjoyed being served by happy people. And when I returned the van, Willie B checked us in and was not only courteous, but he was also thorough and thoughtful. My son left his own truck key in the door of the van. The Willie B called me right away and we turned around and came back to get it. I truly appreciate each of them. I highly recommend this U-Haul store, and I will be using them again. VICKI PThey did not have the storage unit size we needed. So I contacted Virginia Beach blvd one and got a unit and they told me since they were not far from the store that I could leave the truck with them and not get penalized. I made sure the truck had a half tank like when we picked it up. We started unloading the truck and the plaza trail location called my phone and my daughter answered. They told her the truck needed to be over to them by 1:30 because they had someone else that was going to rent it. It was at about 11:30. I called the guy back and told him about what the people at the Virginia Beach blvd told me about leaving it with them. The other guy said the truck needed to be to them by 1:30. I told him that we was unloading and we would try like holy heck to get it there. We ended up getting everything out of the truck and headed to the plaza trail site. Went inside the gentleman that was in there asked me is the truck good I said yes there’s nothing wrong with it. Ran great. I got in my van started taking off the road and I got charged $53..80. I was not even a quarter of a mile down the road I called U-Haul got a hold of customer service talked to a woman while the complaint by the time I got to the end of the road which was a half mile long turned around went back to that U-Haul place. The guy had already had the truck just about done being cleaned. They just washed out the back was done as I was on the phone with customer service guy had pulled the truck out and was done with it because there was nothing wrong with it. I asked why I was charged. They said I was charged because I was 2 gallon short and I was nine minutes late so they charge me another whole day. Nine minutes late said I was 2 gallon short, which I wouldn’t be if I could’ve left the truck on Virginia Beach Boulevard where they said I could leave it in the first place.

RON DThere was a wait. There was only 1 person working. This is where patience will be needed. The truck was clean. I learned later that the left rear light was not working. This meant no signal for any left turns or lane changes. One would hope all of the basic checks were completed before leasing the truck to a customer.
ROSOLYN STruck needs maintenance and repair
ROMAN CThere was a problem with opening the back door of the truck. The button malfunctioned and I was treated very poorly because of it. I was even told by the manager that I broke her truck. Can you imagine? Due to the issue, I missed substantial hours from work. This is unacceptable and I feel I should have received a discount for all I went through.

DEMETRIA RI can't think of s single thing that could be improved. In fact this location has a very out of line customer, who almost became violent at no fault of the staff and they handled it quietly and professionally. Id give them an extra half star if it was possible.

ANGELA LThe pickup process was way too slow, all because of constant internet connectivity issues. The system kept freezing, which dragged everything out even more. You could tell the workers were just as frustrated — and honestly, I don’t blame them. I can only imagine how much worse it must be when they’re dealing with people who aren’t as patient as I tried to be. Some probably walk out or start yelling. I had to insert my credit card multiple times because the system kept freezing mid-transaction, which left me wondering if I was being charged more than once. That’s incredibly stressful for a customer. If you want things to run smoothly — for both your staff and your customers — invest in better internet connectivity. It’s a simple fix that would save everyone a lot of time and frustration.
TABITHA AProrated the fee if you uses equipment less than 24 hours. For example if 12 hours used should be 50% off fee.

We were told to return the next day, but we both had work. As a result, we had to store the big truck at the condo community and head over Saturday. When we arrived, the staff did not know how to book storage, but took the time to call and find out. Not their fault, but a frustrating experience for us.
