I have rented from the Rexdale location a few times. It is not the closest location to me, but it regularly has the trailers I need available. Additionally the staff are friendly and make the experience of the admin, pick up and drop off a little bit nicer.

mohbuella mGas was below 1/4 of a tank but they marked above a 1/4 of a tank I showed a picture of the fuel gauge below 1/4 of a tank. I returned the truck with the same amount of gas. Plus I waited over an hour to get the truck after I have arrived because of the computer so slow and a line up of customer waiting as well as me.

JAMIE DThe worst service in all of Toronto. I've rented around 50 trucks across the city and never had any issues-check-in has never taken more than 10 minutes. But every time I come to the office on Rexdale, problems always start. New rules, new requirements, they ask for additional phone numbers, and all my friends who also rent trucks frequently complain about this location. It's a very convenient location for me, but it's impossible to use it because of the terrible service
ALEKSEI IStood in line for over 15 minutes. Agent told me I have to buy a tow bar , she wasted another 10 to 15 mins. They sent me to outside to wander and find a truck. Then was blocked for a while by uhaul trucks and customer trucks to pick up my trailer that I had rented. Wasn't easy to find it either. Truck oder meter reading was incorrect. Fuel level that was written was also incorrect. Definitely not going to ever recommend uhaul after this.

Prabhjot sI would to express my serious concern about the experience at your business. Every employee I’ve interacted with appears visibly miserable and treats customers with indifference or outright disrespect. There is zero effort shown beyond the bare minimum to complete a transaction. It's clear they don’t care, and it reflects poorly on your entire operation. I will be sharing this unpleasant experience with everyone I know and throughout the local community. People deserve to know how poorly customers are treated here. I truly hope this serves as a wake-up call and that you take immediate steps to address the issues with your staff and the way your business operates.

BRETT RIf I have to do the majority of your admin work, uploading photo ID, taking pictures of the equipment before leaving, etc., 1. It shouldn’t take approximately 30 minutes in line, with only one person at the counter. 2. Compensate the customers accordingly with lower prices. $20.00 for a trailer, which has minimal wear and tear on the equipment, compared to a $20.00 truck or van, which takes a lot more wear and tear.

Nirpinder SHi I ask them the representative on call that due to weather we are getting late and they respond me loudly that if u didn’t come on time we will give your truck to next customer who is asking me 20” and we will charge u as well. Moreover, I charge doubled just because of the mis- representation by the representative from where we got the U-Haul. Furthermore, I ask her that how much you guyz charge for each hour and she replied that for local its flat charges for 24 hrs and give me your phone I will put the value randomly and let me do fast as i need to look upon other work too. Once we checker that you just put 6 hrs then she replies don’t worry its flat 24 hrs rate of 29.99$ we will not charge extras which is not shown right now I will just put random hours and you can returns after 5pm Bec we will be close after that so don’t worry no one will ask u anything and just park and truck and submit the key. She does put random miles on App. I request please hire the experienced advisor how know the Core values. I was shocked once I checked my bill. I will raise a concern to the company it’s unfair with me
maninder sThe loading door on the truck was not opening unless you pull it really hard a few times, and same while closing, so had to find the maintenance personnel to show how I could open with a bit more force. Staff were helpful but understaffed so I could not get out of the location for 45 mins after the confirmed ID as they keys were inside and had to wait for the loading door assistance.

BRANDON HOur initial pick up location at 950 Albion was horrible because the didgital sign in was not working making us an hour late to pick up our truck. Customer service had a hard time adjusting our pick up location to 240 rexdale blvd . At the end of it all we were 1 hour 45 minutes late and there was no parking at the rexdale location so we had to park our personal car across the street

JOHN HBetter mobile app, the app is extremely difficult to use and the process of hiring a truck took a long time, we had a quick job to do and because the process of hiring the truck took too long we ended up spending 2 extra hours to complete our moving task. The staff are however are excellent and very helpful, kind and patient but the overall process is not practical or easy.

BOZHIDAR DAs a Newcomer trying to use uhaul after telling the person who attended to me I'm using uhaul for the first time but never told me about checking out after using the service. I was charged $123 extra after the actual price of $34. They told me they'll do a refund but never refund me.

FORTUNATO SHad problems going through the U Haul app in completing the rental process. There was line ups at the counter, waiting for other customers and me trying to complete the rental process. Only one customer service agent was available. Upon returning the rental vehicle, a service attendant was not guiding me where to park for truck inspection. I parked myself, then an attendant directed me after. Pure kaos in a filled parking lot. Improvements can be done by having more service agents. Service attendants to direct traffic upon return. Simplify the app for quick processing.

Osasuyi OBad customer service and rude staff. Was told all was good when truck dropped off but recieved a call next morning to drop truck off. Was overcharged next day $115. Girl was very rude and spent 45 minutes trying to get return. She never gave a proper total receipt. Just gave refund which I need to wait 24 hours for. After calling manager she didn't know how to process refund on card. Very rude customer service...from manager too. She will give you a tooth kiss sound. Had other customers complain about waiting a long time...one customer waited for an hour he told me. I never received one sorry for my inconvenience and she was very incompetent only logical explanation she is related to the owner. She actually blamed someone else for the mistake. Was over charged $75 but no explanation was given why I was charged twice and how do they not know a truck is returned on a Saturday but am charged for an extra night. Do not recommend this location. Service is slow , mistakes made and very rude staff and mobile app is difficult to navigate making the rental process slow.
Stephen BThe 10 feet truck I rented had a high fule consumption compared to the 15 feet. Despite traveling more distance with the 15 feet truck, I was charged 16cad for gas after returning the truck. I think the gas gauge is faulty and this is quite annoying.

IMRAN HMy pick up time was delayed by 45 mins. My while I completed the online application and provided Drivers license and additional details, upon picking up the truck, I was asking for the duplicate/same information. My truck was given to someone else who start driving and when I got the truck the mileage was off which further delayed the process. Upon drop off, I top of the gas and put it slightly higher than where I initially got the truck, yet I was still charged for gas upon return.

From the day I started rental of the unit to the day that I ended it, she was head and shoulders above everyone for customer service, courtesy, and assistance. I give her five stars for being a strong and humble leader, and hope that the training necessary will be given for all her staff to follow in her footsteps. Bravo, Ms Green. 3 cheers to you!!!

But access to the facility was wide open the last three times we were there - after being inaccessible the time before that, when it took more than 10 minutes for someone to come open it for the multiple customers waiting. That person didn’t seem to know what to do, set the automatic doors to open without requiring a card swipe, and it appears no one has touched it since. All interactions with the staff were slow, with no explanation for the delay, and several staff seemed borderline competent at best. When we closed our account we were asked what was wrong with the units floor, which was exactly the same as when we got the unit. If there’s a problem with a unit you’re renting out, shouldn’t you be keeping track of that, like with a rental car? Overall we were not impressed at all with our experience and will definitely look elsewhere in future.

Especially because the rate was higher than some of the competition prices after being a customer for a few years. I feel like the storage unit caters to attracting new people but not trying to maintain existing individuals. I know that this comes from had office located in Texas but it was important to increase the prices twice within a 6-month period during the pandemic.

sandipkumar p | Overall ExperienceI really needed a storage unit so I thought U-Haul would be a good bet so I reserved one online and got a moving company to help me move all my belongings as I am alone here in toronto as a student once we got to the unit a very rude and unfriendly staff member told me “no we have no storage go somewhere else” I was confused as I had reserved the unit but apparently it’s first come first serve U-Haul do better you need to make sure people know this because what am I supposed to do? I had all my stuff with me with no where else to go an hour away from my friends house where I was staying and I had to pay my moving company for three extra hours because of this ordeal. The lady would not help me whatsoever and I started crying then all of a sudden she was like there is another facility (this was all at the Queensway facility) the other place was rexdale Blvd so we drive there about 30 minutes away and get there and they also tell me no u it’s but the lady at the previous place told me she had called and reserved a u it for me there I was furious and did not know what to do like come on U-Haul plus the lady at the fest had no idea whatsoever how to do her job they do not what to help you here. Then the manager comes out and they talk and she says yes sure we have a unit. Finally my stuff moved in I leave it there for exactly one month and I come back to get it and there are literal cockroaches on my furniture so many of them half dead and half alive it was disgusting I had to throw my stuff away I told the staff and they did not seems to care they just told me to call this number as per usual with businesses like these. Absolute nightmare will never be going to U-Haul again and I would never suggest anyone else go ever very bad customer service and awful standards absolutely not.

At one point I moved to another unit to downsize and my original unit was FULL of mouse droppings, on the floors AND on my items. Upon leaving this second unit - although it wasn't as bad - I also had to get of many items again due to mouse droppings. I did tell them at the counter both times, and they just went "Oh"....nothing was ever done...I kind of thought that might be part of why I paid for insurance for those years? Perhaps in the future, damage from mice should be covered in the insurance and customers should be compensated. I also didn't like the fact that there are no bins for disposing of trash items. (Actually, there is but you have to pay). I spent 10 years and approximately $36,000 there (on a minimum wage job) and thought that wasn't fair. Also, I drove to that location NUMEROUS, NUMEROUS times only to have absolutely ZERO parking available. I couldn't afford to pay the extra money to have 24 hour access. Like I said, most days in the mornings there was NO parking to be had. And I work until 8:00 - 9:00 pm so couldn't get there after work. The wait in the line is always FAR TOO LONG. When picking up my reserved cargo van yesterday, I was in line for about 45 minutes. Before moving, I have often waited 20-40 minutes just to make a storage payment. I often had to leave there to go to work before I could get my payment processed. (I had no credit card at the time to do my payments on line). I do feel that the storage units are safe. The general area is tidy (with the exception of the rodents, which can be VERY damaging and costly to customers)! The staff are okay, but I think they could DEFINITELY use more help in there! And MORE parking....or a different area for staff parking, as they often occupy all of the customer spots!

michael m | Overall ExperienceI find the pricing for a 10x10 absolutely ridiculous. When asking the staff why the prices are like this they told me that it was head office which was located in texas. They then provided me with the phone number to contact somebody in Texas. When I contacted Texas they told me it was the general manager who made the decision of constantly raising the price when I had actually gotten in touch with the general manager which took about 3 to 4 business days, the general manager said that she was not the one that decided upon this and it was head office. So ultimately each location just gave me the runaround between Rexdale in Ontario and then head office in texas. They are not competitively priced. I will be moving not too long from now out of this unit because I had found a better unit in Vaughan which was an indoor unit, unlike the unit that I have right now with U-Haul. Their prices were much cheaper than yours.

When I went back to the unit there was a lock for bib payment after I was told I wouldn’t have to pay for the first month. When it was time to move to a smaller unit after the first free month, they didn’t know how to process the payment and another lock was put on my unit for non payment. tefhnie f | First ImpressionsFor a starter head office told me over the phone when I reserved the unit that it was going to be $1 for the first month since I was renting a moving truck with them which to i already had reserved BUT when I picked up the truck for the 2 days to complete the move went back to get the unit and needles to say I was charged a full amount on the storage $289+tax i was told that the $1 fee only applies to those who are coming from other town I was also charged extra $60 for being 1 hour late returning the truck when I wasn't even past my 48hrs on the rental of the truck also I was charged on my mastercard before I even picked up the truck when I specifically Buy customer service then I could use other methods of payment. SO AT THE END OF ALL THIS I WAS BETTER OF GETTING A MOVING COMPANY TO COMPLETE MY MOVE IT WOULD HAVE COST ME LEES THANE WHAT I PAID IN 2 TIME TRUCK RENTAL AND STORAGE THAT WAS ONLY USED FOR 5 DAYS VERY DISAPPOINTED

Racquel H | First ImpressionsI've moved into two other self-storage facilities in GTA recently. U-Haul on Rexdale was the best by far. I'm a female. I could not lift the door on the locker in one facility any more than 2 and 1/2 feet. It was hard getting in and out. I vacated my items without even asking for a refund. The other facility didn't bother to clean out the locker before renting. I ended up spending a day purchasing a small broom, and sweeping the entire locker ... I am not comfortable with the locker without having washed the floor, so I keep a box of sanitary wipes in the locker. The security at U-Haul is excellent because access hours are limited, and there appears to be a number of people always around. It is very very very clean and apparently, the lockers are kept in good repair. Furthermore, the staff are very considerate and friendly. The individual who introduced me to the locker initially, took the time to be very explicit and clear in her instructions. If U-Haul on Rexdale, had a locker large enough, I would definitely be staying despite this location being quite a distance from my home in North York.

She had to help the 2 others with everything. 3 people were in line in front of me and I was next it took 25 minutes for me to get to the check out desk and another 20 mins to get the keys to my storage unit. The staff is very slow and is unable multi task. This location is convenient however I would not recommend others this time. I did appreciate the staff member resetting my swipe card when it was not done done properly the first time and bringing out a rodent trap out to me at the storage unit. All other U-Haul locations were able to use the online reservation info however I had to fill out a paper copy at this location.
