The staff (Pauline that i deal with most of the time) at my pick up location is always great to deal with. Unfortunately the equipment isn't the same. I have rented trucks and trailers from this location and some of your equipment shouldn't be on the road. The staff deserve kudo's for there great customer service, "they" are the only reason I return to rent from your company!

U-Haul started my day with a smile from the front clerk to I went outside and the gentlemen help me with the trail. I went to a car show with my car at Import Rep at the CNE and I get a phone call from a agent from U-Haul to see if I can bring back the trail. God dam it that call me me very very angry that it ruined my day. Please have a Superior call me or I will let people now for what U -haul did. I have lots of friends that rent and deal with you guys and we all attend car avents and shows.

We had clearly identified we needed trailer for the week. Upon pick up the clearance lights weren't working on the trailer so they switched it. We then get a call 2 days later in the evening saying we needed to return it because annual inspection required) it expired the day after they gave it to us. It was loaded, and we had to go to work that night. The next day we had to unloaded the trailer, put furniture into the garage and get it back due to the need of the inspection. Because the rental was taken at 11 (an hour to change the initial trailer) we didn't get it back till appr. 12:30, we got charged another full day. Now we have to get another uhaul from another location to reload it for the intended move Friday. A) equipment rental for the time we said we would need it was not safe B) replacement trailer needed annual inspection an C) we needed to unload and bring back on our time and money D)because it was a little late from the original checkin time (24 hour billing) we got charged a full day (for a trailer that wasn't legal on the road for the day) This was my 3rd rental in 2 months with uhaul (managing 3 moves and a storage unit move). It's apparent this location doesn't appreciate the business.

All the personnel at Uhaul were amazing at pick up in Rexdale & the drop off in Quinte West Ontario. Moving is always stressful but all @ Uhaul made it much less so for Us. Thanks Uhaul 5 Stars all the way

Humble suggestion:- refund $ on credit card if customer puts too much petrol in the tank when returning vehicle. :)

I was the first customer of the morning, waiting for the doors to open at 7am. I had a reservation to rent a trailer. The clerk had great difficulty signing into the system - it was at almost 7:15 before he was able to start my order. Once my transaction was entered, the clerk told me he would meet me outside. I went out to wait but he did not come. As I noticed another customer getting their vehicle, I went back inside to discover that he was waiting on another customer! He gave me directions to find the trailer behind the building. We found the trailer ourselves and started hooking it up. As we were finishing, a different clerk came to help us finish. This simple process which should have taken 10 minutes, took over half an hour and delayed our day.

Everything was o.k. with a van. I did rental papers around 4 p.m. and took van at 5:30 p.m. and return it at 8:30 p.m. same day.I asked person who rented a van to me can I return it after hours and she advice me to park the van and drop of the key.I dropped the key in after hours slot and try to log on website to confirm return , but unfortunately it did not work. So a came at 10 a.m. next morning to settle account. I was surprised to find out that bill was around $90 and should be less then $60. For a few hours I was charged 2 days rate which was unacceptable, because return was on the bill 7 a.m. next day. Upon my complaint the rate was reduced to 1 day. I never had a problem with renting before, so I think this should not happen.

They scrued me up three times, first, when i rented in August the truck was so dirty and so oily, They’re not cleaning up prior of giving to customer, second on Sep 01, i was told to sign up online to avoid being in the line up for pick up. Prior to that I made reservation by Dean, but when I picked up the truck it was on the other location. I have event that weekend but I didn’t make it on time because got the truck late, I lost $1500 that time because of lateness. Third, I booked 15” truck to be picked up Sep 22 at 7pm, but Nicholas who made my booking that time, put it 7am instead of 7pm. I end up renting a small truck because nothing available when I came pick up at 7pm. I never booked 7am it always in the evening pick up. Customer service is very poor there. Sometimes you were talking on them they are also talking to other staff. No profesionalism. That’s why they scrued up their works most of the time. Not happy with their service anymore! Not like Penske Company, very reliable and very satisfying!

When I arrived the lady at the checkin made me sign and initial the paper stating the cab was clean before I even saw the it. She was on the phone taking personal calls and also making remarks how her coworkers are incompetent while they where standing right near her. She was very direct and just said hi, sign this sign here enter your card what's your licence plate. No small talk hi how are you and I believe was very rude. Trailer had rocks pieces of drywall and chinks of cut stone in it, didn't realize until we already left and arrived at our destination. We only moved a dining table and a hutch in it. I asked the person hooking up the trailer if I should write down if there's any damage on the trailer and look around and he said "no just don't damage it". When we returned it the attendant was very confrontational and was upset it was dirty. We brought a broom for them to sweep it out and explained we only moved furniture it was there from before and we didn't want to get the debris all over our driveway. He swept it out in the main area and dust and everything was flying around. Overall the uhaul at rexdale and Martingrove area is very lax in their jobs and need some training courses on customer service and how to follow procedures properly.

The lady could be more friendly and speak slower to explain the rules instead of just rattling them off with minimum eye contact...sort of robotic...I know she does it several times a day but each customer is different.

This is the closest location to YYZ, despite what Uhaul allowed me to book (to return their truck to a FORMER Uhaul location right next to the airport). When I arrived with the truck and was told I could no longer return it there, I had to find this location and waste over an hour of my time and $27 on a cab to avoid missing a flight. After numerous calls and emails to Uhaul they saw fit to reimburse me $30, which I guess means they believe that an hour of my time (nevermind the *hours* I've spent correcting their mistakes for this one reservation) is worth $3. Don't reserve with Uhaul unless you plan to personally verify every last detail of your reservation in advance to ensure they haven't screwed it up in ways you never imagined could be possible! Personally I won't be reserving with them ever again if I can avoid it.
