This was a disaster.You made a stressful time for me far worse. I reserved a 10' truck 3 weeks before my move and was told the day before that I had to go 25 miles out of my way to get it. It was too late to change the plans that I made 3 weeks earlier. I spent hours on the phone getting hassled, hung up on and scolded by the customer service rep in the Regional Traffic Office. Plans changed over and over again on your end. To be clear, I NEVER changed my reservation throughout this whole ordeal . At the last hour, they were only able to give me a 9' van for unexplained reasons. As a result of your poor planning, I had to sacrifice items that I was able to move. I could not take all of what I'd packed with me and had to give away things that belonged to me. I planned my move well, you screwed it up.

He had two people at the counter but was working both of us to try to get us both in our way. He was very pleasant, courteous and helpful. The two pods were delivered exactly when they said they would be delivered; got the unusual location I wanted the pods to be positioned perfectly; got them to my home and positioned exactly as I wanted. A week before the scheduled pickup date, I was contacted by one of their employees to see if I needed more time or if the pickup date was going to work for me. I requested another month, and the billing was handled effortlessly. After 4 solid months of taking out and putting away the contents they arrived in the scheduled time frame and took the pods. The area staff at the Charleston Highway location was very helpful. They carried my boxes, pads & bubble wrap to my vehicle for me. I couldn't be more satisfied. Highly recommended. Thank you, Cherry
CHERRY RBoth desk reps were outstanding. The young man who checked me out set everything up and made sure the equipment was ready to go. They young lady who checked in the trailer made that process easy and fast. Both were extremely professional and friendly which can be rare attributes with employees sometimes. They are outstanding representatives of your company and should be recognized for making my experience one of the best ever. I'm a retired Navy veteran with 30 years of moves and have used U-Haul for many of our moves. This was one of the best. Great job.

SHIRLEY PThe location was clean but not inviting! I greeted the employees when I walked in. I had to greet the employees, who were busy on their phones, twice to even be acknowledged. I was told to move the truck from where I parked it, with no real guidance, but then told again that it was in the wrong place. Then I get an email that I was charged for 2 gallons of gas, when I returned the truck with more gas than it had when I picked it up. It had 144 miles to empty (I took a picture that’s time stamped) and returned it with 163 to empty (I took a picture that’s time stamped) I will be calling in the morning for a refund!

JARVON WI had on two prior occasions within the last two months rented a 5x8 trailer with the fold-down ramp door. I was disappointed on this recent rental that only the older roll-up door model was available. The online app used for advanced check-in lists as (Optional) a field for secondary contact. However, at the check-in counter I was asked for the information and told it was mandatory; please fix your discrepancy.

Not sure how that happened or what it was but nothing else was dusty but the sofa. I really appreciated Juan Green’s dedication to being a helpful and friendly staff. He made sure that my Ubox was moved under the garage to make it convenient for me to load from my storage unit. He was friendly and even when I spoke to him over the phone he told me that he was there to answer all of my questions and he had answers for anything that I needed. Another staff member (didn’t catch his name) tried to get out of moving my ubox. He was being pure lazy when it was his job too. He has a pop belly and I believe had gold on his bottom teeth. I don’t describe this to be mean but so you know who I’m referring to. He was totally unprofessional and ridiculous. I was also very pleased with Terrence Cash. Super friendly and he made sure my Ubox was initially moved close to my storage but he couldn’t move it under the garage because another customer was using the entire thing. He walked me around the property so I would have an idea of where my box would be placed. He also made sure that my box would be shipped out as soon as possible. He told me he would keep me posted by giving me a call and he kept his word and called me the next day. Thanks to Juan and Terrence for making sure things got done.
Tiffany W | Overall ExperienceI paid at least two extra months rent in late fees because for over a year they refused to change my due date to something that would work for me. After two years of begging, they finally let me change it. Some of the staff was rude to us from the beginning. Then in August a storm came and took off part of the roof causing water damage to some of our stuff, and we gave them permission to move our non damaged items to a new unit, and they would document the damaged items before discarding them. They didn't document anything, so we go to get a piece of furniture out for a friend and it's missing with half of our stuff. My wife had to get a police escort to demand to see our old unit because they refused to do it without the police there. In the unit was two pieces of damaged furniture, but everything else was gone. They told us to file a claim with their insurance, Repwest. They reached out to me while I was working, but I tried calling back several times and the would not return my calls. My wife tried calling, and they won't return her calls either. Now we're out thousands of dollars in damaged property due to staff negligence by not documenting anything and no means of replacement.

I told the representative that I would be out of town and was told that it would not be a problem for me to come back to check on my items the following week. Upon my return, my items were missing. I notified employees several times to no avail. I am currently awaiting a response from the general manager. I also asked for a copy of the items damaged in the flood so that I could send it to my renters insurance. I still have not received such paperwork.

It cost me almost $300 in gas. And that shouldn't have went that way. That's because you'll keep old trucks. That's not tuned up and in proper working order. The SERVICES of renting a unit purchasing packing supplies, truck rentals, and hitch is handled efficiently with excellent customer service. I highly recommend this sand hills location, all the staff are always professional. It is unfortunate the weather created calls of concern for our rental units but again, I was greeted with nice people in a professional manner.

I told customer service that I wanted the unit outside because I had some much stuff to move, 2nd I felt unsafe entering my storage unit because someone broke the glass to the roll up doors exlease twice I don't no if someone try to brake in, Then 3rd I was going to move my stuff out of storage on 08/06/2023 because that is when my free 30days was up but some how my Debit card been save on file for auto pay with out my authorization so I was charged $215 something dollars on the 6th so that cause my account to overdrawn so I couldn't move my belongings out on the 6th to pay for a U-Haul truck so I had to wait until I get paid again on 06/11/23 to clear up my account . So I move my stuff out on 08/12/23 because the weekends is only when I'm off. And also on 06/11/23 I reserved a 20 foot truck in was told that that it will be available at 9am on 08/12/23, but that wasn't the case. It wasn't available, so I had to get a smaller truck and also made extra trips. I don't think I will be U-Haul services again.

Somehow they changed us to FOUR 10x10 spaces (1 of which isnt even 10x10) no where near each other, without letting us know, and caused a ton of chaos & extra expense with our movers (not to mention much higher monthly cost for storage as well). Cost us an extra fortune, is less space than we need, and our experience has been awful.

We just finished taking everything out this weekend after moving into our home. I was extremely impressed with this UHaul and it’s staff. For the whole year they were very friendly every time we went in there. I did have a couple issues with the auto pay on the website, but the staff helped me each time and were so kind about it. Always helpful with anything we needed. GREAT JOB GUYS.. We thank you so much for making this move as easy as possible!!!!

Daytime move in hours horrible for out of town or in town working customers! Access hours are not great it’s horrible! I got wrong times to unload my items! I drove hours and could not get any assistance to get in storage because a male staff on duty earlier gave me the wrong time to get in ! I had items loaded up and I could not get in to the building! I called 24 hour customer service and still got nowhere! It was hot and mosquitoes around storage were awful ! No one stated to ask for extended time until after the office hours were closed! 24 hour Customer service should’ve been able to give extended time to customers if they can see you are a customer on computer! Never received a call from manager like the customer service said ! Never received email from management like customer service said !

Customer service is pretty slow here...not sure if its because they need help or the work environment is too laid back. There were times in the past I've had issues with my storage account and the bank drafts. The floor management/personnel wasnt the most helpful. Store manager issued back some credit for the late fees that should not have been charged due to their systems not working but that's after I asked nor did i get back all of my late fees. All in all, it's a service that customers really do need but they treat customers like we need them not they need us.

Convenient with the moving carts. There was a big moving truck that pulled in minutes in front of us. There was only the one functioning door. However, there was ample space for us to park our truck and trailer where we were still able to unload. We are very impressed with this facility and the staff is great!

Virginia R | First ImpressionsScheduling my Uhaul was an issue; the site I was sent to did not have the truck I needed and then I was on hold for over an hour- my move was grossly delayed. Then, through the office I setup automatic payments and asked the gentleman twice if we were good to go- turns out we were not. I got the payment due notification, but all of my bills are set up to auto pay and it didn’t autopay- I immediately paid and emailed the agent and never heard back. Logged into my account and the auto pay was not set up. So I set it up- the following month was the same issue. This time I called instead, they waived the late fee and corrected the issue. The site does not save properly, and is full of discrepancies (payment never saved properly and misinformation on vehicle availability) . However, majority of Uhaul staff are patient and accommodating- I thank those gentlemen who assisted through each hurdle.
