The unit delivered to me was not only the wrong box—it was already filled with someone else’s belongings. This mistake caused a major delay in my moving process, disrupted my coordination with movers, and raised significant concerns about security and handling procedures. How could a full U-Box be mistaken for an empty one? More importantly, how is it acceptable that I was given access to a container clearly belonging to someone else?

Very professional. They get you in and out as quickly as possible from checking out the truck to checking in the truck you purchase. Very informative and detailed. Instructions on the app for returning the vehicle did not match the process at this location. When I went inside and said I was there to return a truck, I was given incomplete/ unclear instructions. I felt the personnel at this location were very curt.

My scheduled drop off location did not have room for the trailer when I arrived 10 minutes before they closed. They sent me to another location three miles away and when I got there they were closed. So I had to take the time to check in the drop off online myself from my car.

Every time I try and use the mobile app. I have problems checking my return. Each time I’ve had to call in talk to someone. It usually takes me 30 minutes to a hour to get checked in. I had to call in to get a refund when I was told I would not be charged for another day.

When we took the trailer back to the apartment to load up and opened the inside, it was very dirty inside. I didn’t want to drive back to get it taken care of, but should’ve looked at it before I left the U-Haul site. We didn’t have the ability to clean it out where we were loading up my daughter’s stuff so we had to put her stuff in a very dirty trailer.

Jerrell and his co worker were awesome! Pleasant to deal with and detailed. He patiently helped me resolve a situation where another renter hit my uhaul truck and took off. He did while handling a full store of people. Him and his co-worker, sorry I forgot her name, make a good team.

We were redirected to this site after the place we were scheduled to drop off our truck (140 South Plaza Trail, Norfolk VA) turned us away because they said they were full. It was close to closing when we arrived at the first location, and we were worried we would not make it to the second location before closing. I'm confused why the UHAUL in PA scheduled us to drop off at a location that was full? Even if it became full the day of drop-off why didn't anyone notify us of the change? That would have been helpful. The staff at the VA Beach Blvd. location were very understanding and pleasant when we told them we were redirected as they were not expecting us.

Ask customers for feedback and don't just wait for clients to leave feedback. The concept is to be proactive and ask them whenever you get an opportunity, send us comments of how well we are doing. The truck was disgsuting, dirty, and awful. You could feel the grime on the seats when you sat. The roof had cigarette burns and the glass covering the speedometer was busted open. They gave us a truck that had ZERO gas in it. The customer service sucked, the girl at the front desk was holding the keys in her hand and coughed into her hand and got an attitude when asked to clean it. It smelled awful in there, poor hygiene by all the staff. Not to mention when we returned the U-Haul there was HUMAN FECES and TOILET PAPER on the ground right in front of the front door! Never again!

Please improve maintenance on vehicles. The truck that i rented had trash in the back. Truck needed an alignment. I was all over the road tiring to steer it. This is the second truck I've rented like that. Customer service was good.

All the people do is sit behind the desk, you have to do all the work checking in on your phone, they don’t even bring your vehicle around like they use to you have to go find it, returning it was a cluster as well, no one to direct where to return it, where to park etc pitiful customer service!

I ran a U-Haul from the Virginia Beach location a couple days ago. I had a really nice blanket that I had forgot in back of the van so when I went there, the lady was nice enough to go in the warehouse and retrieve it. Thank you so much for not throwing it away

When we dropped the vehicle off, we pulled up where directed behind another truck in which the employee was taking care of. the sign said to remain in the vehicle- the employee went inside (she clearly saw us pull up) but she never came back out. We waited about 7 mins or so and had to go inside to get someone. (We were the only customers there at the time) they were polite- just forgot about us I guess

I came In short notice with no reservation and I was able to get the U-Haul rental that I needed and then when the previous stores that I had at another facility was already full I was able to in no time get a storage unit with you all very convenient very helpful no worries direct access to the unit easy access even with me moving by myself as a single mom very very very convenient will definitely make this my go-to storage place for U-Haul rentals and storage! Staff was very helpful explain things explain the contract made everything very smooth very smooth transition!

U-haul in general nickle and dimes you and hits you with hidden fees and policies. The local representatives here were continually rude and unhelpful on site and over the phone. Calling the corporate customer service number was the same experience - rude, unhelpful representatives who have no idea what they're talking about. the amount of money u-haul charges for a small storage unit like I had, is ridiculous - and if you're going to pay something like that, you better come through on your word and in your customer service. But U-Haul didn't - the entire time I used their service. Absolutely dreaded having to deal with them and i'm relieved not to have to deal with y'all anymore.

I recently closed out a storage until. do to the fact that the unit was over whelmed with rat feces. The rats decided to nest in the unit. which from what I see is a problem with that facility. and when closing out the unit and speaking with the general manager I wanted to ask about the overcharge on the account. GM immediately came back with a intense unprofessional manner. which caused me to come back with same kind of attitude. refusing to close out the account, help me with an overcharge on account. did not even try to resolve the situation by making it worse. and also asked to at least look over the comments that I had spoken to customer service about the situation. refuse to even look over those comments. storage unit was originally set up for my mother who has dementia and other illnesses can not do this herself. I am also on the account as a contact. The storage unit was on automatic payment on our bank account. I completely cleaned out the unit. went to return the access card to finish closing out the account. GM simply refused to do anything without my ill mother being there. account also on automatic payment, charged late fee? GM refusing to look at notes from customer service, customer service could not understand why we were charged late fee. when asking again about account we were requested to leave without reason and refusing to close out using offensive language.

However the weight to get my U-Pack pod could be challenging as I would call to reserve it but can never get through directly and would leave a message with the general line but it never got transmitted. When I would want the pods it would be and wait as long as an hour sometimes and the office was short-staffed. They need to have at least three employees at each desk and one out side to assist. This would avoid long Waits

When I rented the storage space for contactless move in the app and the map made it difficult to find the alarm keypad to put my code in. Then when I got to mu unit. Some else's belongings where already in there. When I called the same day a trouble ticket was put in and was told the issue will be looked into the next day. Called the office and spoke with conner and he provided his email and said that he will look into the storage unit. Called again the same day and spoke to a victoria, I belive. And she informed me that conner left for the day and didn't inform anybody. I was still charged for the unit when I couldn't even use the unit. And when I tried to get the issue resolved no one cared to assist or help me. I submitted the pictures 3 separate times as proof and provided a video during the checkout process. This was a horrible experience and uhual has not supported their end of the contract as all.

Horrible experience. Waited over an hour to get access to storage unit. Reserved a 10x10 but only had a 10x5 - had to cram all belongings into a unit that was too small. Ended up having to take several items to a different storage location. Plan to move my items out of here ASAP. Would NEVER recommend to anyone - facility is dirty, staff is VERY slow, system was not working properly. Did not have size I reserved. Just a terrible experience all the way around.

The door that access the bldg kept locking upon entering while moving items to second floor storage. Constantly had to reenter code; this made the move inconvenient. While holding a couch someone had to reenter the code.

Couple issues I noticed. There are handful of units where I could see doors tampered or forcefully broken into on the non lock side. I found it very confusing and concerning. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that my unit is safe. Facility is good and clean with handful of trolleys to help you move things. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Roaches. So many roaches. Oh my God. I had to throw away over half of what we stored in there for fear of eggs that’ll become a problem in our next home. This was not even close to worth the money. The roaches seemed to have free rein of the place too, coming and going into other storage units. Oh yeah and the hours of access could be better.

Blooming Dales Flower shop was not the ideal uhaul location in any means. The hours of 10-4 and it’s location didn’t provide adequate time or closeness for me to pack out my storage unit into the trailer for my move. They don’t have any typical supplies like hitches, they referred me down the road to Tractor Supply. When I went to pickup the trailer, there was a massive dog with extremely long thick hair that walked up and started sniffing me. Afterwards he laid on the foot of another customer. When he asked for his foot back, the florist told him to give the dog a treat out of the box on the counter. A customer should not have to be exposed to animals let alone feed them snacks so they can leave the facility. The lady “inspected” the uhaul, but didn’t check the running lights and one was out, as well as it was tightened down to the hitch. Overall, I would never recommend this location for business of any sort!!!!!

Maybe I was not doing it correctly. But when accessing the storage after office hours, the automatic sliding door at the entrance of the storage building was not responsive. This made it really inconvenient for us to swiftly move in and out of the building and load things into our storage unit. I also did not realize that I needed to check in and out of the building upon arrival and departure. When I visited the unit earlier in the day, after signing up, I did not check out. But when I came back that evening to begin moving in my items, it took me a moment to figure things out as I ended up checking out and back in, multiple times, trying to get the doors to unlock. Once I figured that out, I realized the sliding door was not responsive and had to keep swiping my card each time the other doors closed and I had to get back in. It would have been helpful if all of this had been explained when I signed up for the unit, in the office. I didn’t realize the middle box had to be used before I could use the other boxes to get into the building and must have swiped my access card a million times.

If the sliding door is only available during certain hours, a sign should be installed on the door to communicate this to tenants. It was very discouraging to show up with a full truck only to discover that the only available access door did not have a ramp to allow the carts to be used to move items into the building.

Overall great storage, a little bit pricey maybe $5-10 less would seem more reasonable for the small unit. The elevator has a pungent smell of pee which it appears to be the only way up so you are forced to suffer the smell to get anything to your storage.

The salesman Christopher went above and beyond for me. He made the transition very smooth. I had to rent another unit and Christopher was quick on finding me another. It was an extremely hot day and he brought us some bottles of water. You have a wonderful and valuable employee there. He deserves Kudos! Overall, storing my belongings was fine. BUT my storage rent was due in the 2nd of each month. Sept 2 I paid for the month. On Sept 16, we were able to move out of storage, expecting to get some sort of refund since we only used two weeks of the month. I went in the office and was told nope, we don’t do partial refunds. So I said ok and went and put my lock back on my door, then made another trip out there Sept 29 to remove it. Just seems to be unfair to the people who may have needed that space, that sat empty for two weeks. And unfair to me to have to feel spiteful. I will never use Uhaul storage again, there’s plenty of other places with a sense of customer service!!

The storage unit staff, especially Christine, the facility manager we’re terrific! Frankly, these were the only Uhaul employees who honored their promises. Everyone else, from our (wrong and too small - even with the trailer we still left things behind in Austin and will have to return for them and start the moving process all over again!) truck pick-up in Kyle, all the other storage places in Norfolk area who called us a day after we picked up a two week rental asking us what time we’d be in Norfolk that day to drop off the truck and put stuff in storage, and your movers who broke things and showed up two hours late after pressuring us to meet two hours early and intimated us. We ended up unpacking the trailer ourselves while we waited and still had to pay the entire amount. We’ve called several times and someone is supposed to get back to us but never does. The moving company won’t give us a refund even though we called and told them about the intimidation we felt and requested different movers. We will NEVER use uhaul again and we’ll be warning our 5000 friends on FB, yelp and anywhere else we can find to complain unless we hear from someone and get some sort of refund.

Me and my vetrian was put threw ringers over few medical dippers and things we kept stored in there . Pitchers of are 25 years . They had no care in the world we had COVID 2 x . Lost are truck due to jiffty lube in Norfolk VA . Fried are engine. And I needed medical att. Out of area had no way to get are few things or the cages to his bird that was life friend.....nothing of value they new it ...had nurve to call my dieing mother phone more then 1 x after my father told them stop!!!!!

Rented a unit here for 4 years and never had any issues. Customer service was hit and miss but when moving out the service was outstanding, and the employee was friendly and helpful. As of lately the sliding glass door to the storage unit building has been left open on more than one occasion requiring no card access to be used to gain access to the building.

Although Move-In day was fine (no issues), we have subsequently been back 2 times to retrieve items. Both times the elevator has been broken and when you have a 2nd floor unit this is inconvenient. Also, we now cannot get our BBQ out for the Fourth Of July and we have an appliance to retrieve (Freezer) after our move-in. Both items cannot be carried downstairs. It has been told to us that the repairman is scheduled for "Sometime next week".

You guys have done an excellent job in picking the best staff. They are all funny, engaging and helpful. I'm sorry I can't remember names but last 2 interactions stand out the most. The first lady (she has a nose ring) was so kind and sweet helping me after I lost my key card. The second lady (I believe she had teal highlights) who helped me get my truck checked me and another guy out at the same time, can you say skills and efficiency, she was also kind and hilarious. I'm sorry in you helpfulness you got left with the 2nd coffee option. #EXCELLENTMOVINGDAY If I'm ever in need of a storage unit again I'll definitely choose your facility and I'll always recommend.

The storage unit was sealed. Took 45 min in line to speak with person at desk. He didn’t know why the hnit had a green plastic seal on the latch. He said he would have to see it, but he had other customers to take care of. My movers broke the seal to enter the locker. The roll up door started falling off the roller. Very dangerous! Another 30 min wait to get another storage locker…the “last one available”…and it had a padlock on it. Back to find someone to remove the padlock. Wound up paying movers an extra $250 for overtime due to storage unit problems and waiting at counter for help. Other storage unit is $15 more, also. Really not happy.

Everything went pretty well except for the fact that the guy at the desk handed me my access card when I first checked in for my reservation, he said just use this later when you want to put your stuff into storage and you'll be able to get in. I went to go drop my stuff later (around 10PM) when they were closed, and it said access denied you have to check in first. I looked around for directions and it said you have to check in at the alarm system station which was right next to it. I try to swipe it there and it still says access denied. Needless to say, they didn't really give me good instructions for after hours. I tried to call the number that said for "after hours only" and they didn't answer. Just a heads up, nothing crazy. I just dropped my stuff off the next day when they were open, and dropped the truck off right after. Easy day.

The staff and facility manager were very generous and wonderful! Great customer service and they allowed me to temporarily store my belongings in the truck for a few days due to my apartment not ready to move in yet so it was a bit of a delay which is still is but the Uhaul staff was very considerate enough to allow me to hold their moving truck while i was waiting for my apartment to be done. Thank you so much guys i really appreciate your hospitality and kindness.

The staff was not very detailed on how to access the adjacent building. They did not activate the card so we had to walk back to the building, nor inform us that we would need to cut off a zip tie, or how to open the latch. Simple extra effort customer service things that would’ve helped this first-time storage user, after a long drive/move. Thank you

After several attempts at trying to enter the building ...they had to redo my contract again beachside they gave my unit I just rented away to someone else....when I final entered the unit the first thing I noticed was the huge rat trap as I looked around I noticed lots of rat feces and urine all over the unit so I decided to take my business somewhere that doesn’t have an obvious rodent problem not to mention clean.

The staff was friendly, the place was clean, everything was fine. I had one problem and unfortunately it’s a big one! My things were not there that long, a couple months and my sectional was covered in mold along with a couple of sealed bins with clothes in them. I had to throw all that out so I lost some money.

Nails in the parking lot where people parked. The new manager is rude without provocation. There were mouse traps IN our unit when we rented it and found droppings upon move out two months later. Staff made many mistakes and argued about everything.

Employees need to be on the same page when customers are bringing equipment back or checking out of the storage units. Communicate so customers don't have to bothered uncessarily and stressed out thinking they owe for something they are no longer using or in possession of.
