It says 25$ off if you clean the vehicle, I swept and mopped the back. Received no discount. Shouldn't advertise this. Other than that it was easy to use this service.

Slow service for pkup. After doing the paperwork was handed keys and left to ourselves. When returning the vehicle they did a walk around and claimed we did damage to passenger side back top corner which we did not do. We owned a 45 foot motorhome and are very experienced drivers. We did not back into anything nor cause any damage to this vehicle in any way. As we had purchased insurance we were told not to be concerned about it, but that is hardly the point. We did not do the damage period. I feel the employee should have done a walk around both when we picked the vehicle up and returned it. At the very least we should have been told to do one! Renter beware! Make sure you inspect everything before using their vehicle. I feel very dishonest.

I’m sorry I didnt get the name of the guy serving me but he was very good at getting me setup as quickly as possible despite having so many customers to deal with. He loaned me a mat so I didn’t have to pay for one since I just needed it for a few hours The van was very clean inside and out

It was a mobile pick up. I was overcharged for mileage by approx $30. I spent 1.5 hours picking up the vehicle because the U-haul app malfunctioned. I didn't get a chance to input odometer reading when I received the vehicle. I called customer service to assist me in getting the code for the lock box to get the keys and it took abyt 1 hour for a call back. This was a bad experience and I do not recommend the mobile pick up going forward. It needs work. And I need my bill reviewed for the correct charges and refund. Thanks

They changed the pickup location I selected and when I went to pickup the truck they didn't have trolleys available, even though it was part of the reservation. The back of the truck and the pads were not clean.

Although this location had the vehicles I feel that they could use more staffing. There seemed to be a long wait time with 2 staff and 7+ customers waiting to be processed. The vehicle I rented the interior was quite filthy and a tire low on air. I am also still not in agreement with UHauls corporates decision to complicate the fuel arrangement where the vehicles are rented at 3/4 full and need to be returned at 3/4 when this would be simplified running this as a full tank process but obviously the complication of trying to facilitate while filling up to meet the 3/4 is a corporate game and financially beneficial financially to the business.

More instruction on the use of vehicle. How to move side windows and lock back. Our lock didn’t work at all as it was damaged. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable offering good advice.

The workers there are scammers. He tried to blame me for a damage that was probably months old. First thing in the morning another worker was there he just handed me the keys and said here your truck number. Didn’t even come out to circle check the truck with me. I walked around the truck on the one side the other side was so close parked to the other truck I didn’t fit even to walk sideways. I have my visa insurance and I bought uhaul insurance as well just to avoid any headaches. No manager there to talk to no pictures to show me from the previous return rental. I always rented from uhaul but with these scammers taking over now I am never coming back. He says don’t worry I am just doing my job I am writing a claim for the insurance. Because his fingers got wet from the rain and he thought that it was fresh paint damage.

The vehicle and service were great. The only issue I had was with parking. I was told that they only use the lot for their vehicles. It wasn't until I said I was going to go elsewhere that the young man found a spot I could park. This option is unacceptable, especially since I drove there solo.

Not to have to do a digital photoshoot on an app I have to download to drop off the van. Even when we pick it up. For 140$ for a day trip I shouldn’t have to do a U-Haul employees job. You somehow made a van rental a self serve checkout. Especially if you paid for damage and insurance. Why am I proving the van is in perfect shape.

The floor of the cube was unacceptable—dirty and covered with debris. This alone reflects a lack of basic maintenance and attention to customer experience. More importantly, the fuel instructions were presented in such small print that they were effectively misleading. I picked up the truck at half a tank and drove roughly a quarter tank, meaning I should have only needed to add about 30 litres. However, because the markings for 1/4 and 1/8 are nearly indistinguishable, I ended up adding 60 litres instead—doubling the cost from what should have been about $50 to $100. This is not a minor inconvenience—it is a direct financial impact caused by poor, unclear information. At a minimum, I expected the employee to acknowledge the issue and offer some form of compensation. Instead, nothing was done. From my perspective, this feels like taking advantage of customers through unclear instructions. This is unacceptable service, and it seriously undermines trust. I will be reconsidering using your services in the future.

The van was filthy when I picked it up. I took pictures and submitted them directly before I left the lot. There were (what looked like) broken bricks, garbage, mud and other debris throughout the entire back of the van. There was a pair of work gloves and used tissues in the front. It was clearly not even swept or checked before it was rented again. Usually this location does a better job ensuring that the vehicles are in better condition.

Gas tank half empty. Truck literally wedged between other trucks. Impossible to take out. Staff could care less the sun is shining. I'm pretty sure there's credit card theft happening at this location. My card immediately was exploited shortly after renting from here. This place is sus as fuck. Yeah overall. Fucking nightmare. And I can't believe this is the best option near me. Makes me want to end my life.

This was a Horrendous experience. I originally reserved a 15 foot & appliance dolly on March 4 at Big Bear Limerage Hamilton for Saturday March 8. After I received the confirmation email - I received call saying I had to pick up the truck at 914 Upper James - Gas station . I arrive and there was no one there - the gas pumps had yellow caution tape around them. I called & spoke with Lucy . She instructed me to go to Upper Wellington to get my truck & dolly. I arrived there- they had the truck but no appliance dolly . My wife had to go to 2 different locations to get the appliance dolly. The truck I was given should not be on the road - it is not a safe vehicle. It had trouble starting & the brakes were Absolutely dangerous. I do want to acknowledge the tremendous help Lucy was - she really saved the day for us. I believe I should be refunded my cost. It truly was horrible - Lucy did save our day. Thank- you Lucy

The truck was very dirty, still had empty drink cans in it from previous user. The truck also had some obvious mechanical issues such as not starting properly, the steering was clearly out of wack and needs to addressed ASAP for safety.

I drove around for 45 minutes, searching for a gas station, but the unbelievably thick fog forced me to turn back. The cashier charged me a hefty amount. Even though she claimed to have checked the van before I left, it was extremely dirty, covered in mud, and lacked windshield washer fluid. She didn’t take the time to show me where the van was or tell me where to find the numbers so I was trying to find the numbers on the license plate for about five minutes walking around outside. I spoke to the manager, who claimed to be the manager, but she did nothing to address the issues. I’m considering contacting head office and writing a review, alerting my entire brokerage to avoid this location. As a realtor who frequently uses rental vans, I’ve learned that this place isn’t business-minded.

Truck was not ready in time, delayed by half an hour, caused me to get stuck in traffic which just caused a cascading effect of delays. People behind the desk acted like it wasn't their problem and that I was being unreasonable for expecting the truck i booked months ago to be ready at the time I booked it. Spent $75 in gas. Mentioned that it used a lot of gas, was told that it was because the trailer tow button was on. I definitely did not press that button. It was left on from the person who rented it before me. They should have disabled it when they inspected the vehicle. Was told there was no recourse. Seems to be a pretty haphazardly run location but I then again, all of Hamilton is like that, and that's why I moved.

WARNING. STAY AWAY. Absolutely horrific experience. Huge holes in the unit led to flooding and permanent damage to thousands of dollars worth of my belongings. Employees were unconcerned and unhelpful. Countless messages and emails to the manager asking him to call me, no phone call just passive aggressive emails. I notified them 6 DAYS IN ADVANCE before the end of my rental term that my unit would be vacated and I wouldn’t need another month and THEY DIDNT CANCEL MY CONTRACT SO I WAS CHARGED FOR AN EXTRA MONTH. The unit is empty and my lock is off. Absolute JOKE of an establishment. The manager RUSSEL BROOKER is an unprofessional snobby jerk and should be fired. STAY AWAY.

Excellent and prompt service as I was given the option to set up a contract within the office (no cell phone). The representative, I believe his name was Joseph Costa (as per my receipt), was very helpful and made the process seamless and quick. I was shown were the unit was in the back and how to access it during off hours when it is less busy. Overall I was very pleased with how courteous, friendly and helpful the representative was when I came in.

The unit we had was an outdoor unit. The unit could use some updating as it was leaking from the rain in the ceiling and flooring, a lot of our items were wet and the flooring was in bad shape from water damage. Should be better weather proofed. The guy working was super friendly and helpful though.

My unit leaked water every time it rained. I was sometimes provided blankets to put in the corner to soak up water. After I vacated the unit have continuously being charged late fees and harassed.
