Give the customer the correct pickup address in the reservation email! I was given and charged for a dolly when I already had one. I did not request the dolly.

BRADLEY CWe rented a 5 by 8 enclosed trailer for a 6 hr rental period. The woman who checked us out was helpful, as was the gentleman who helped us get everything hooked up. However, we returned the trailer the same day, but it was after hours, so we left it exactly where we were told to leave it when we brought it back and somehow it didn't get checked in timely and we ended up being charged for an extra rental period. I sent a dispute via the email provided with the rental receipt and did not receive any response so I called and had a dispute opened that I now need to wait 3 days to have resolved. It just seems like a lot of extra work for an easy rental.
KEVIN KEnsure that appliance dolly’s are available prior to truck rental. I had to actually purchase a dolly . Discount should have been given due to inconvenience.
Clarse LMany, many problems and I'm not sure where to start. Details about ubox process were miscommunicated from unbox pickup and expected return schedule to transit time and how things would be handled in the receiving end after shipping or the fees associated with lot storage if it arrives e.g. three weeks ahead of quoted/expected schedule. It will go much better the next time I use ubox, because I will know what needs to happen instead of relying on u haul personnel to know what they're doing.
JACOB SGreat location and service however I was told I’d get credited for extra gas as they gave it to me practically empty so I filled it up and didn’t use that much gas.

JEFFERY MDid not receive call from U-Haul representative to confirm pickup location. My requested pickup location representative said they had my pickup location at a different location. Pickup location neither had my appliance dolly nor moving blankets in van. Was provided keys to a van that was parked behind another van - in the sea of vans. Attendant had to return back to office several times to locate key for van that was in front of my rental. Had to load the appliance dolly and moving blankets into van.

JENIFER M | Overall ExperiencePretty bad. Here’s my experience: I rent from uhaul often. This was the first time from this location. There were a couple of issues that I could mention regarding picking up and dropping off the truck but they were relatively minor, just not welcoming, so I would have just shrugged those off. But when I reserved the truck online, uhaul offered me one free month’s rent on a storage unit. I accepted that and chose an available unit online. But I called the facility and spoke to the general manager to ask about the “split level” units to avoid stairs since I have a disability (official & verifiable), which I explained to him. Instead of getting the size unit I was reserving online, he offered a much smaller unit and one that was far into the large facility rather than numerous open ones that I later saw (including units with the blue disability icon painted on the doors) which would have meant less walking for me. Walking is difficult and painful with my condition. Then later, when i went to check on the unit, halfway down the aisle, the aisle was completely blocked by a mound of stuff that had been pulled out of a unit into the aisle. Then at another point, blaring alarms went off several times for no apparent reason. I politely and briefly notified the general manager via email the same day that I would be out by the end of the month, April 30. I was out by April 30th and have photos to prove it. Even though I notified the general manager and was out on the 30th, yesterday I received an email from him for rent and a late fee for May. I emailed him back reminding him that I am not renting for May and my items were completely out by April 30. So far, no response from him. Uhaul has missed an opportunity here. For many years, I have rented several storage units at another facility that is closing down soon. I will be needing storage units somewhere else. Verona Rd uhaul storage would have been the most convenient uhaul storage site for me. Because of my experience at this location, I will not be renting from uhaul, at least not from this location. Please make sure that I do not receive any more notices for money that I do not owe, for a rental space that I am not using or renting.
KRISTEL GToo much confusion. I was overcharged for the movers and I can't get my money back. Everytime I call one person tells me one thing, and someone else tells me another. Drivers constantly calling me while I'm at work because their GPS was taking them to wrong place. I would have went with PODS if I knew it would be this hard.

OSBALDI BMy experience was great! The only thing to note is that both the delivery and pick-up of the box was earlier than scheduled both days. Fortunately, this was not an issue for me and the workers/service members I interacted with every time were very helpful and communicated well!

JANICE WWhen picked up the 6x12 trailer was caked in dried mud. There was no offer to provide a different clean one nor wash this one. I was tight on time so took it. Arrived at home and it was dirty inside. Overall experience, however, was great. Friendly staff at both pick up and drop off locations.

ROBERT CI was charged a 700$ fee for returning the unit to the wrong location. I did not. Now I'm spending my time and energy trying to get a rediculous charge off. All because of an employee there's mistake.

TIMOTHY HWas grateful to have a secure well lit well maintained indoor rodent free space to store my things while I was in need… I appreciated the 24 hour availability with additional price needed to access my belongings after hours… I will admit it was a little pricier than the other places I was looking, I’m glad I chose U-haul for the additional cost, I was able to take care of my business what is my convenience?!!!! if I need to store or relocate again I will definitely seek out Uhaul in my area again!!! Steve OI had an extremely disappointing experience at this U-Haul location. When I arrived to pick up my truck, the female employee at the desk was incredibly rude, had a horrible attitude, and was unhelpful, treating me as if she did not want to give me the truck at all. There was absolutely zero empathy or customer service. I had to escalate the issue to the general manager, expecting a resolution, but instead, he was just as rude—offering no apology and even defending the employee's terrible attitude. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. If U-Haul values its customers, it needs to take a serious look at how its staff is treating people. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Booking in advance does not guarantee the size you selected will be available at the location you selected. If that is listed anywhere during the reservation process, it is not clear enough.

I had researved a 1st floor large storage unit online, which had said "only 1 left!" when I booked it. When I got to the facility I was told there were no first floor units available and only the smallest units upstairs available. And there is no elevator! I also was told the dollies I reserved were not available. Both of these things made my moving day much harder and more stressful than I had anticipated. Being a small woman, I had originally booked those items as I am not able to get some furniture up stairs. This was an incredibly frustrating experience.

After driving for 24 hours I was disappointed to find out my reservation was lost. After 30 minutes of looking for my reservation I was showed the unit that was to be mine. It was full of garbage and down stairs and was wide open for everyone to see my tools in. I didn't accept unit and asked for my money back. I found the much more efficient and clean Verona store. They saved the day while the other store deserves a one star,Verona deserves 10 stars. The staff helped me through a very stressful situation.

I Either forgot my ID on the counter or the employee didn’t give it back to me, either way had I not went back the next day I never would have known THEY had it.. when I got to the location no one was in the store, appeared to be only 1 person working anyway.. but I saw them walking outside and followed them around for quite a while saying “excuse me” rather loudly a few times.. before they finally got to their destination and realized I was there did they turn off their ear buds and just look at me.. I used to work for the scheduling dept right above this location.. and I’m at a loss for words right now. Ear buds should be limited to 1 ear and not cranked so loud you can’t hear anyone around you.. employees should also carry a better device off some sort so customers can buzz someone from the desk.. I’m disappointed in this whole experience with using U-Haul for my move.. from the truck, truck issues, this was just the icing on the cake. Thank god for Kayla, Lynette & Kala (TCM) for being the ONLY positive

I would understand if the service were outstanding or if anyone helped you move your stuff into your storage unit, but it was a pretty run-of-the mill experience. Clearly, U-Haul is in financial ruin and desperately needs the extra cash. I hope the company survives the next quarter.

William H | Overall ExperienceWe rented two 10' X 15" units and were able to get down to one a few years ago. In total we were with you for over 5 years. The management and workers were always good to deal with and allowed me to pay a year in advance to save some money. There were times in the past whan homless people would come in to get warm and use the rest room but your management solved that by putting in an extra check in process so only renters could get in. The biggest problem we had was lighting inside the unit. The new company we went with has an overhead motion light inside our unit and a full size garage style door that lets in more light.

I think a temperature range of 40F-80F in the climate controlled area is a bit wide, but other than that things were great. Staff were very helpful and made the move in and move out process easy and were stellar in getting me from an upstairs unit to a ground level one. if it wasn't for the fact that I'm moving out of state I would still be renting a storage space.

The door wouldn’t open up all the way so I had to duck under each time going in or out of the unit. When I would finally get it closed, after fighting with it to shut the left side would be out of the track and open enough to get access to my stuff. I just got my belongings out and moved them somewhere else as soon as I could. The facility was clean and well lit and a staff member did help me with the door the first time. He was friendly and helpful

She took time to help me find a different locker that was more convenient and what we needed, she was extremely helpful, pleasant and courteous despite what seemed like being understaffed, extremely busy and it was over 90 degrees outside. The UHaul experience has definitely gotten better over the years, but the great online tools combined with someone like Anne made for an above average transaction and experience.

Bradley S | Overall ExperienceThe move in experience itself was poor. The directions for finding the unit should have included a letter identifying the row in which the unit could be found. The map should contain the same alphabetical row lettering as in the storage building itself. I spent a massive amount of time trying to find the unit. The unit was secured against entry, I could not open it, no one answered the phone when I called the desk, I wandered around until I found a call box, someone came and opened the unit, the provided lock did not work, I had to go to the desk to exchange the lock, the swipe access card did not work properly, and I had to return to the desk to address that. In the future, take the customer to the unit rented, make sure the unit opens, and make sure the provided lock works. Everyone was helpful, but more up-front assistance should have been provided. This was a poor move-in experience.

I had movers meeting me there in 30 minutes, so i had no choice. Completely unethical way to upsell people. Avoid at all costs. The word games the friendly customer service person made were worthy of a skit on Saturday Night Live.

Person should have recognized my lack of muscle power 2- my card never worked after hours 3- when closing account, I was in a hurry as I rented a pick up truck and I was being charged. Your person was in the bathroom for a very long time and there was nobody at the check out desks. I was waiting 5 plus minutes. Thankfully Menards didn’t charge me the 10 minutes I went over for the truck rental. And my card didn’t work picking up my stuff and your person was very slow walking to let me in. Train your people to hustle. Overall a very bad experience.

Alarms going off everywhere. An employee said don't worry. Remember, moving is very stressful. You made it worse. Also, when picking up the truck early in the morning, it was a total surprise that we needed to call someone! Unacceptable. I could go on. Bad experience all around.

We move into our house we won't be using Uhaul for any other of our moving needs due to this.

While the facility is well lit, the storage unit itself is not and since we had a unit at the end, it was very dark, thus requiring us to bring a light in on each visit. The hours for access is also inconsistent with signs. You think you can access it anytime with the key card but that only opens certain doors and outer doors are locked. The unit has a mouse trap and there's definitely some rat droppings when we moved out. On our last day to move out, our unit was locked as if we did not pay the rent and we did. Staff apologized and did not know why that was the case. All in all, I say it is an OK experience.
