The whole process of truck rental the simple and easy, the truck drove great. My only negative was when I got in the truck it didn't smell that good and then after it heated up I realized somebody has urinated inside the cab of the truck and it would about gag you. I called the location back and the only thing she said to me was I'm sorry. I drove the truck from Augusta to Savannah and it was God awful hot pee is only way I could describe it. When I got to Savannah the guy came out to inspect it said he cannot stand it in could smell it about 5 ft away. I hate people to be so mean and do something like this to somebody else's property.

Counter staff was INCREDIBLE despite rude customers and made the process of check in and check out painless. Staff were professional when hooking up the trailer for me and exiting the area in tow mode was very easy. It was a simple phone call to extend the rental 1 day and no paperwork check out was seamless. Only reason I said Average was the parking situation and the rude customers which goes hand in hand with South Augusta. The counter staff needs a raise and those folks need the Lord.

GLENN VOnly issue was even though I requested two furniture dollies for my reservation, no dollies were available when I rent to pick-up the rental truck. My husband had to run by Home Depot to purchase dollies so that ate into our rental time. Truck was clean and drove well.
MIRANDA EI was told to go to Gordon Highway because they had the space that I needed. I get there and they don’t have no storage at all the staff called customer service and the customer service representative made me a reservation at another location father than I was looking for. I rode around looking for the storage office for a hour. Called and called and got no where had to go to another location yet again and luckily I was able to get a unit there. Even though the space was too small.

GILBERT PThe people were nice, the truck was in good condition. My only problems had to do with the rate being different than what I reserved online, and that when I dropped off the van outside of business hours, the directions about key drop off were unclear. About the price, I was quoted around $23 for a day rental of a cargo van. When I got there, the price was over $100 for less than 24 hours of using the equipment. I don’t know why you would put $19.95 for in city travel and then it end up being far more. Other than that, the experience was fine. No issues with the employees or truck.

RICHARD RThis was a violation of my people with disabilities Act— they had NO way to assist for people who are OLD or have a basic Phone— they kept insisting that they could not download my DL and picture to rent my TRUCK. Thankfully my nephew allowed me to use his phone BUT I’m not filling up his phone with useless APPS!! They were Rude and frankly need sued!!! They are there to SERVICE the customer not make life HELL!! But they sure were quick to take my money!!!

Leanne SUhaul unable to provide documented vehicle damage report list prior to rental. Vehicle had numerous scratches, dings and dents. They said was listed in their system but unable to provide customer with copy. Was told I can take pics and upload to link but blocked me from uploading. Statement said I would be responsible for any damages as check-in personnel deemed necessary. Insurance was purchased on contract. Uhaul is largest rental fleet in U.S., however Penske goes over damage check sheet with customer prior to rental. Why customers can’t get comfortable feeling is a question Uhaul needs to answer. Online it told me to go to the store uhaul on writesboro road, but when I got there it was locked and I had to call. Only after I called did I learn that that site didn’t have trailers to be picked up and that I has to go to another site that was close that had bad reviews. Besides that all good and drop off was fantastic in Eau Clare.

Branshonda MTruck had only 1/4 tank of gas at pickup. I returned it with 1/4 tank and was then charged over $50 in fuel fees. The manager was very rude when I called to have the fees removed. She did so only after I sent photos. Very unpleasant experience.

The door was jammed and severely damaged to where the was no good use for the unit. When I called to be issued a new unit I was charged when issued a replacement unit.

While at the customer counter, (Sharon) I believe was her name provided poor service. I was in the process of getting a free 1 month storage unit that Uhaul graciously provided. She began to ask for alternate contact names, number and additional address. I was puzzled by the requested information as this information was given at time of rental. During one point of this conversation: (Sharon), stated " There is a storage company next door, that may not require as much information that I am requesting. You can try them if you like " Needless to say, I didn't make a switch to another company due to time constraints. My suggestion to this location. Do Better!

The key cards do not work so it is not convenient to get locked in the gate or have to go during business hours to get in for our belongings. You should also have a pin code available which I was never given. I'm not sure why they have 24 hours on the building when it is not open 24 hours. The hours are 7 am to 8 pm.

I called twice for an extension and he threatened me if I didn’t return the truck and refused to extend it. My wife called the 1800 number to get it extended. But he called and was threatening me on the 9/14 when I had reservations until 9/15 to return the truck or he would call the cops and report it stolen. All I was doing is trying to move. Because of his actions I definitely would never recommend U-Haul. Worst experience I’ve ever seen in my life.

When I asked for a supervisor (more than once) they said "there wasn't one". My unit was robbed and the employees acted unconcerned. I was told "Ok" and the police were called. She then said they'd meet me by the locker. That was it. I then walked to the unit. Poor, poor customer service. I won't use them again or recommend them to anyone!!!

The other representatives, particularly the women at the desk, had bad attitudes, did not provide customer service in a timely fashion, and failed to address the needs of customers. This was my personal experience and the experience I observed other customers undergo. Additionally, the reps do not respond to the phone and often put customers on hold when they call in and never get back to them. I found this out when I called then saw this action when I went in store. Poor customer service is not worth the trip to this location.

Believe me coming from a sales manager for a fortune 500 company of many years you should be very proud to have these two gentleman represent your company. I also dealt with a lady on the phone who was very nice and a third gentleman the day I dropped of my rental and they were very pleasant.
Danny C | First ImpressionsIt was difficult to communicate with the staff at 3363 Wrightsboro Rd, Augusta, GA 30909 location. I was constantly threatened over the phone live and via voicemail and in person about how I was stealing the truck and the police were notified by the agent at the store, who is no longer working there. The person who arranged my rental before her convenient departure said her cell phone was turned off for weeks thus I could not inform her continuously. I also had sent an email but received no reply to that either. She misinformed me and my truck was taken back by the new staff without my knowledge. Now I have no possessions which were put into storage without my knowledge or my permission. I owe money for holding to the truck for too long while I have no personal property except the clothes on my back. A few days ago, I visited the store to find out what happened to the truck. The property that I parked the truck on and the police had no information. Sharon Gresham was allegedly not working that day but was giving instructions to her employee to relate to me. She was not willing to work with me yet I was told that if I told the store what was going on they could have helped. I called customer service and their reaction was the same. Everyone claimed it was not their choice but that UHAUL demanded it that it should be handled this way. I told the store staff everything from day 1 including where the truck was and that I was waiting to move into my unit but the complex I am moving into had an ownership change so it took longer than expected. The tenant in the unit I will move into was evicted and it added 30 additional days for the vacancy and a few weeks more for the repairs. I was accused of abandoning the truck but I did not do any such thing since my entire household was in it. It was a series of manipulative transactions which could have been prevented but nobody offered me any help and I will never recommend UHAUL to anyone.
