Not even a smile from the staff here. The three that I encountered all seemed like they hate their jobs, and it shows.
DT FStaff was great; helpful in explaining the details of the trailer; this was the first time we were taking a trailer on the car
Mark FSyke was incredible handling the computer system and computing my rental. She knew the menu options without looking at the computer and was able to assist her other team members. Her customer support was fantastic!

James MI was not given information on where to drop off the rental. Later received email telling me I had to drive 35 miles to return rental I was not pleased with that info. There are haul places here but was told later that they would not take my rental because they had no room. I took my rental to a uhaul facility and was told they had no room but the man there said that he would take it anyway. You need more people like that who will accommodate your customers.
THOMAS MThe customer service at this location is horrible. I highly suggest retraining your staff on how to appropriately speak to customers and be mindful of the language they use. I rented a 20ft truck for a quick run to Lowes. When entering the store, there was a shorter Hispanic gentleman with tattoos and a buzzed cut on the phone having a personal conversation. Saying things such as "I don't know what the fuck I'm doing. This guy's on some other shit..ect" after 2 minutes of us standing in line he then hangs up and greets us. After he confirmed our reservation, he goes to check the truck. When he came back inside, he told us that the gas was low, but if we bring it back with more gas then we received it with, we would get credit or just bring it back and we're good without the gas. When he said low, we didn't think that meant EMPTY. We received the truck with 17miles until empty. This is unacceptable. I went back inside to let the service clerks know that the tank was incredibly low and basically empty and they were not at all concerned. When we returned the truck, it had 12 miles until empty. We did not add the 5 miles back to the tank that we drove due to the conversation we had with the gentleman that checked us in. We were under the assumption that since we received a truck with NO gas, not having to replace the 5 miles was a courtesy. Evidently, this was not relayed to the others working. When we returned the truck, there was a different "gentleman" (I use this term LOOSELY) working who was wearing a hat and has vitiligo spots on his calves and hands. He was checking us in and yelled from the truck, "YO THERES NO GAS IN HERE" with a frustrated look on his face. We then reponded with, "we received it with gas, we took a photo of tank" he asked to see the picture and was visibly aggravated that we didn't replace the 5 miles used. When we tried to explain the situation and the conversation we had with the other associate he raised his voice and said "I don't want to hear it! it's fucking ridiculous that you guys are trying not to pay. I'm gonna charge you for the quarter tank of gas" I then reiterated to him that this is a misunderstanding and that the customer service here is unacceptable. We asked for our receipt and he pointed inside and said "the girl in there can help you". We went inside to get our receipt and speak to the clerk inside, she stated that she was the "manager" but took no interest in remedying the situation or even to know what happened. She brushed us off and said "have a good day". I have worked in customer service as a manager for several years and while I understand that the customer isn't always right. The customer is always the customer. And should be treated and spoken to with respect. The way we were treated by the staff at this location was disgusting and should not be tolerated.
Jonathan MTurn signals were reversed so that when car was indicating a right turn, trailer was flashing left, and visa versa. This wasn’t discovered until en route. Agent at drop off was notified .

WILLIAM MLocation appears to be short-staffed. Cannot get anyone to answer their phone so it goes to the national answering system but they don't know what is going on with my vehicle. Had an expensive Stealth hitch installed with some issues that took longer to resolve and I'm still not sure it is functioning since there was no trailer available at this location to hook up to it. Technician (Joseph A) unfortunately scraped the front left alloy wheel and left 2 large gashes which need to be repaired or replaced. Was told the store manager George Nunya (or Nunez?) would contact me to resolve but I have not yet received any calls from him. Please assist with getting this taken car of. Brett HI was promised a pick up in Desert Hot Springs TWICE and still had to drive to this location and pay for the extra mileage. I will NEVER use UHaul again and will tell all not to. I was lied to and misled and then told "sorry we cant do anything about that". Poor communication, poor customer service and poor attitude . Shame on UHaul!
CLAUDIA BVery helpful and responsive to our needs and requests. We had a flat tire and they immediately took care of it without any delay for us. They came to us and we were able to continue our work while they repaired it at our storage location. I will ALWAYS use this location for all my needs in Coachella Valley. I couldn't ask for anything better.

Regrese donde lo rente 1313 S Brand blv y ellos muy amables me ayudaron en todo ., resolvieron mi problema . El problema que tuve cuando regresé el troke en cathedral city fue q cuando hablé con un señor era pésimo , malo y arrogante . El quería cobrarme el día extra aunq no fue mi culpa . Igual de Los Ángeles se comunicaron con ellos y les dejaron saber que no fue mi culpa y igual cuando lleve el troke dijeron q me pasé de millaje cuando no es verdad . Tuve que hacer un claim al banco haber si me regresan el $$$ Siempre que he rentado ahí hay problemas en palm spring cathedral city , son pésimos y malos arrogantes , deberían de entrenar mejor a sus empleados .

MARC LWe rented a uhaul pickup truck and had it for 2 days on the 2nd day we decided that we needed another day so an hour to hour and a half before we were due to return we went online and tried to extend the rental one more day however it wouldn't allow it so we called and let uhaul know we might be an hour late. The account was noted and we arrived to drop off an hour late . When we pulled up the place is full of trucks even ones like we are returning. We went inside and let them know we were there to return however wanted it for another day but couldn't extend online. The guy pulls up our rental on his screen and calls another guy over saying there was a note on the account and wanted to know what it was the other guy says it's nothing don't worry about it . The guy at the computer proceeds to go out and check the truck and mileage and gas. Mind you this truck is being returned with just over a 1/2 tank and we are to return it with a 1/4. They tell us verbally the total and walk away. I'm thinking how do they get their figures that's not even right. Well I get the receipt online and they have charged us a 3rd day of rental and insurance over the hour late after we had gotten clearance from someone on the phone and they did not credit back one cent for the little over a 1/4 tank of gas over the return amount.. the workers at return were rude, unfriendly and not welcoming at all. The one guy when we came in to rent was very nice very helpful. But one nice person isn't enough to make me want to go back and be treated like crap and ripped off

KENNETH WI lost my two Oakley shades in this particular facility when they installed a new trailer wiring. I do not recommend this U-Haul facility 68075 Ramon Rd Cathedral City. I called them and spoke to the manager and his response was like nothing happened.

They don't really smile, or I recall say thanks to me for my business. Very by the book and even amongst working with each other, no one seems really happy to be there. No smiling, "I can help you over here" is about as pleasent as they come. No one was rude or condescending, they all just seem bored with their jobs, don't make a lot of eye contact, and sort of the same with each other. The Ubox people on the other hand almost seem to work for another company. Friendly, helpful and attentive--whether on the phone or in person.

Because the location is so busy 90 % of the time, better staffing. I also notice there is quite a bit of turnover in staffing. During this past 6 months possibly could have been due to lack of leadership at busy times. I am hopeful that this comment helps you to improve. Multiple times there would be U-Haul trailers, trailer bins and trucks parked in front of the building that housed my storage unit. Fortunately a worker would move them for me. Unfortunately they had to be asked to do so. Perhaps not allowing so many uhauling vehicles to be stored in one place would be helpful. And as kind as he staff is they seemed short staffed and very busy. U-Haul DO BETTER!! I’m sure the company is making profit! Treat people better all around! My only issue was that there was supposed to be a lock included inside the locker, which was not there. Luckily, several local hardware stores were open late so I was able to purchase an appropriate lock.

JOHN R | First ImpressionsThe facility was always cramped - trucks and trailers parked in the isles of the storage area and you had to squeeze between them to get to your storage unit. There was debris (including nails, screws, and glass) strewed around the storage area and NEVER cleaned up. We got a flat tire one time. Another time we cleaned up all the glass/metal from the area around our unit and told the brand new GM about it but the pile was still where we left it next to our storage unit 2 weeks later. There were rats in the unit and they ate one of our couches (we had insurance and were reimbursed). The ceiling was sagging and looked like water damage had happened at one time, which made me fearful for my items. The good news is there is a new GM so hopefully they will improve the facility but in the 2 weeks the hadn't done much from what I could tell (since the pile of scrap metal was still there after we pointed it out to her). I made sure to get my items out as quickly as possible and will not be using this Uhaul again.

I'll convince them why they shouldn't. It'll be easy. I did reach out to the staff before emptying my unit that I was doing so and afterwards AND THEY STILL TOOK MY MONEY. THE MANAGER NEVER CALLED OR SENT THE USUAL EMAIL TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE. THEY SUCK = THE STAFF!!! I'm still waiting for money and apologies for stealing my money.

Its the only number listed and trying to get a hold of anyone was nearly impossible. But the location office itself was Excellent. Steven A | First ImpressionsYou need to pave all the areas as if moving carts are being used and not having ramps at the entrance to the indoor storage is just dumb. Don't put up signs bragging about the indoor temperate being controlled when on the few occasions I actually showed up it wasn't even close. There is a real issue with telephone communication at this location. I'm guessing management is either overextended or just doesn't care but many simple issues that could be solved were kicked down the line adding to really everyone's additional time wasted. Have someone that can take care of the phones and I'll bet you won't have any bad reviews or irritated customers as I've noticed on most visits there's always one or two upset folks: There's got to be someone at home that could go on payroll and quickly resolve most problems . You have sone really great workers there and you've got some lousy ones but honestly neither seen to stay. U-Haul is a smart company and kinda quietly crept up and made itself the only affordable ish option for moving and storage but I can't say I really love it like everything about it . This location is ok but it's just because it's really the only game in town. I've found better prices and better service within a half mile but I did have to wait for a space and of course they don't rent trucks , so thank you for the space it was clean and available.. I don't mean to be a jerk I'm just being blunt. You obviously have a good business, I think it could be a great one with a few improvements. It's interesting that not getting good service lingers and kinda leads a good customer away when the cost to actually take care of it was so little. You'll do well regardless I'm sure:

Our home buying experience did not allow us to move directly in..in fact it took 4 additional months!! We had to pay for 3 months and were so glad our unit was air conditioned. A staff member verified all the units were secured twice daily by physical inspection. And for secure?...you had to use your gate pass to also exit every time you came. Video surveillance was also used. If we ever move again...U-Haul is our choice.

Have to ask an employee to move vehicles and trailer blocking both access roads to our unit, multiple times. Have to wait 15-20min. pain. Check yourself row G19. So, we had to move to another storage facility

They never were. I had to call over the intercom to be let in. One evening they left for the day with me and my vehicle in there and I had to hop the fence, leave my car, and have my wife pick me up. Would not recommend.

The Uhaul company need to provide masks that protect both the employee and the customer from the employee. I did not continue with my rental because of a price increase. I was told that the vehicle I rented had 1/2 tank of gas instead the vehicle had only a quarter tank. Fortunately I caught it before driving off. The truck bed was not clean.

(It’s your business & you should know that a 20 ft truck worth of stuff won’t fit 1/4 of my belongings in, so what should have taken 4-5 hrs took all day (I’m disabled w a broken neck). I had to move my stuff to a different storage then bring the truck back. I would expect some kind of refund or a free truck for my reservation on the 8th as the 3 things & confirmation # were wrong. Maybe U-Haul should look at a better engineered hasp system hardware. A new hasp designed from the ground up would not be inappropriate.

ralph p | First ImpressionsThe facility itself was fine, and the service I received actually went above and beyond; but I cannot recommend this location. During the 5 or 6 times I visited the office, there was always at least one employee inside (usually more) with no mask. Those who did have masks often would only wear them when customers entered, or would wear them improperly (many customers followed suit). It does not take a rocket scientist to understand how masks work, but many of the employees at this location seem to either not understand or not care. I should mention that there was one female employee (blonde) that seemed to always have her mask on, and she should be duly commended. Sadly most of the other employees working inside (predominantly the young males) didn't seem to take it seriously whatsoever.

When I arrived at the location, I was told that they couldn't locate my reservation and that there were no more units available in that size. I had just driven 590 miles, had a truck full of items to be stored and I was extremely tired. This was not good news. The young man behind the counter was kind and pleasant but could only offer me a 10x10. I accepted it because I had no other options at that point and had to take a lot of items to the dump.
Sandra B | First ImpressionsI am extremely unhappy! I was given a trailer with retread tires and one came off during the trip, costing me $123 to buy a new one. Then when getting to my end destination, I was charged insurance on the storage unit, but never got one, even though I had one reserved! This meant that I had to book in overnight in Palm desert costing me $ 156 so that I am able to arrange a storage unit elsewhere the following day at a more expensive rate. So no, I am not happy, but this will be heard by everyone I know, and I will post this on my LinkedIn profile where I have in excess of 1,000 top CEO's and Presidents of Companies as connections. So, I will leave the ball in your court and give you until Monday afternoon to decide how you are going to compensate me for this massive inconvenience!
Anthony v | Overall ExperienceOur first contact was with a employee named Jose. He was rude and unhelpful. We asked if we could get the 1 month free storage so we could unload our truck on 6/10 and then go unload the remainder of our belongings and then turn the truck in. It was 104* that day! It was 11am and the truck was not due to turn in until that Friday 6/12. He rudely said No! and would not discuss it. As we were leaving two other employees both named Chris were amazing and helpful. They proceeded to get in contact with Whitney the asst mgr. who was amazing as well. WE were able to get into the storage unit and off load the items and then turned the truck in earlier than expected. What is a shame is the very first contact we had with anyone in Palm Springs was Jose. JERK! Thank you Whitney and both Chris's. You all were helpful and changed our day into a positive experience.
