Worst experience ever
Kirk Hrented a 6x12 cargo Trailer wiring on trailer was in bad shape loaded up then traveled to South Carolina only to break down at deeham Express in new york with no taillights called u haul road side assistant and they sent mechanic only to find out trailer is not repairable needs to go in shop so i had tox truck follow me to the bronx as u haul paid a room for the night at 3am. later that morning went to u haul service center and they said trailer should have never left lot with such bad wiring it shorted my trucks smart junction box. casted me $706.00 to repair and chicopee u haul said they would pay the $300 parts but manager is avoiding my calls past week. Been a nightmare

THOMAS OMy wife and I drove Bradenton FL to Ware MA 1350 miles with no issues with the U-Haul equipment. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Truck and trailer had no issues. Would highly recommend U-Haul to anyone moving themselves.

SCOTT TI was absolutely pleased with the service I received at the Chicopee location. I had lots of questions and needed lots of understanding on how to tow a 6' x 12' trailer across the country. I made phone calls and went there the day before my rental to figure things out. Sarah was at the rental desk and she was invaluable to me in this rental. She was friendly, efficient, helpful and explained everything and helped me load up the trailer with blankets and a hand truck. Another man at U-Haul hooked up the trailer and the lights securely. This entire experience was far easier than I thought and the price was reasonable. I would not hesitate at all to rent equipment again at U-Haul, especially this location. I would give it five stars, or A+++++ for both the people who work there and the awesome service they provide.

ANDREW BEquipment had issues with front brakes and ignition. Told person checking in vehicle upon return his comment was that some of the trucks are old.
ANDRE ROne of the tie downs on the vehicle trailer was broken. We were able to use one of our own straps to secure the vehicle. If we hadn't been prepared for that we would not have been able to use the trailer.

TRACY WQuick, polite and unscripted employees, great experience all the way around. Small note, during the vehicle pickup process I was asked to digitally sign a document, but was not explained what I was being asked to sign. The signing device didn't even show the name of the document I was signing. I had to ask, and the response was very general. Might want to make sure to let people know what they are signing BEFORE asking them to sign.

Randy SVery disappointed. We were driving on the highway and had to clean the windshield when we got salt on the windshield. We turned on the wipers to clean but there was no fluid inside the truck. We had to stop at every gas station to clean the windshield. This was really frustrating. We are paying $$ to get this kinda service. Sorry I better give my business elsewhere.
Hamza FThe truck was clean but not maintained. The steering was very bad. And the gas was practically empty yet I was told I had to rerun the truck with 1/4 tank even though upon pick up it was below 1/8
JOEL CWhen I got to the U-Haul store, they hooked up a small trailer for me and off I went. The trailer came off on route 57 around the rotary and I had to pull over to the side of the road. The gentleman who installed the hitch did not put a pin or a cotter pin in the hitch. The trailer was empty. It could’ve been a complete disaster. I asked for a credit on my bill but never heard from them. The drop off in Salisbury was awful. I dropped it off at 4:30 on the same day I rented it and the next day a gentleman called me around 11 AM and asked me when I was going to return the trailer. So overall, I had a very bad experience I would expect a credit and I would expect that you would look into whoever put on my trailer and make sure they get reprimanded and whoever returned my trailer and make sure they get reprimanded.
TERRI SI always use Chicopee U-Haul because of the quick customer service and availabilty.

AMBER JThe person did not do a walk thru they just hand you the keys. He walked away to another part of the yard.The door did not shut well and dash said driver door open. I tried shutting several times.Luckily I only went 7 miles round trip, The person when I dropped of was nicer.
DONNA Fwas told I could pick the truck up at 6am if I downloaded the app. so I did that. than once I got there at 6am was told I had to wait till 7am when they open. had to sit there with my worker for an extra hour. Than was charged a $25 cleaning fee even though I returned the truck swept out. Will rent from Enterprise from now on.

Lino FWindshield wipers need to be replaced. It was very hard driving in the pouring rain, but thank you otherwise everything else is great.

NATANAEL LThe Chicopee store I have no complaints. The Springfield U-Haul Boston road I had my issue. I had a reservation for Saturday 11-9-24 at 7AM for a 12X6 open trailer, #14596220. I arrived early at 650am on the 9th for trailer. So at that time I made contact with one of the employees at the Boston Road location. I was informed that the trailer had not been returned yet. So I told him I would go have breakfast awaiting a response from him. Later I received a text message from U-Haul advising that I missed my appointment at 7AM to pick up the trailer for 7AM. I called back to find the initial trailer was not coming back til the following Monday. I was advised there was a trailer available in Chicopee. So now I had to travel to Chicopee to gain access to a trailer to use. Communication at U-Haul should be must better that what I experienced.
GERALD JOverall the truck rental and setup was good. However when returning the vehicle, waited at the return dock for 25 minutes. I had to bring the dolly back into the store myself. When I got my final receipt emailed to me, it had a $120.00 missing item charge - implying I took a dolly and didn’t return it. Upon calling the store multiple times and nobody answering due to being busy, I contacted UHaul Support. They had the store contact me. They stated it was a lock error on the fixture in the truck where the dolly goes and would refund my money. However, how does a simple “lock” error show as missing when if you opened the truck, you can verify the dolly was there? If I didn’t pay attention I would’ve been charged $120.00 that wasn’t warranted. This is very concerning and curious how often this happens.

ANGELICA SThere was a mixup with the reservation.. sent us to WestSpringfield, only to be sent back to Chicopee. However, staff worked to get out it straightened out, and after that all was fine.
