The only negative comment is about returning the van. They require download the app and ask too many unnecessary questions. Take forever to complete the return. Next time I will prefer return by the counter.

Extremely disappointed with this location (U-Haul - 5341 NW 7th Ave). I rent cargo vans regularly and this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. 1) Forced add-on / lack of transparency: I booked online and explicitly declined U-Haul’s SafeMove coverage ($25). At pickup, the employee told me that at this branch “coverage is added by default” and that my own insurance “doesn’t matter.” That is NOT what the online booking flow communicates, and it feels like a classic forced add-on / bait-and-switch. 2) Vehicle was not properly inspected and was unsafe to operate: A tire-pressure warning was already on at startup. During the day I got a critical low-pressure issue in the rear left tire and had to stop three times to inflate it — wasting significant time and preventing me from completing my work. This is basic safety and maintenance, and it should never happen on a rental. 3) Poor vehicle prep: The windshield had been wiped with a dirty rag, leaving streaks that made visibility uncomfortable. 4) Pricing/mileage concerns: I drive a very similar route weekly and my typical total has never exceeded ~$100. This time the charge was dramatically higher, and the mileage reflected on the vehicle did not make sense to me. I’m requesting a full itemized receipt and a mileage audit. Overall: unclear policies, a poorly maintained vehicle, and a process that feels designed to upsell and overcharge customers. I do not recommend this branch.

Well I’m a good customer of U-Haul I usually reserve it on app and when I get there I look for my item number and hook it up and take pictures and I’m gone. But in this particular situation, the two employees were there Erika and I can’t remember. The other name seemed to me that they were a little drunk. They had a bottle there and she was just being completely rude. I know I was late but so they wouldn’t wait for me. I sent my brother over there and they didn’t want to attend them because they were about to close and a whole bunch of other things I just don’t wanna write down but yeah, one of my worst experiences with U-Haul and I am a loyal customer. They even made me buy a hitch if I wanted them to wait and maybe the hitch was charged but maybe it wasn’t I never do this. Leave a bad review but I felt like I had to cause they were just awful and it’s not like if I’m a Karen or annoying person.but yeah they need customer service classes because that’s no way to treat a customer

Corporate could spend some money to upgrade the early 2000's website experience! Especially as the customers use this more and more. Your old clientele that used to phone in and go to your stores are dying out or relying on younger family members to assist with the U Haul purchase/rental. That said, the successful e-commerce platforms are what your customers are used to now and they spend a lot to ensure a seamless experience. This is definitely not the U-Haul experience! Mike Walter

The movers did not wrap any of my furniture going into the pod. The payment system is also a hot mess. Then they cancel and you have to book again for more money which feels scammish. And then the movers to unload were the most unprofessional movers they tore my furniture up it cannot be used or sold at the value it should be. I would not reccomend!!! You’re better paying the extra 2k to get professionals to move your belongings and ensure its safety.

Truck needed tire alignment. Truck should have cruise control, it is difficult to maintain certain speed, gas pedal is so sensitive. Windshield wipers needed replacement. Left headlight needed alignment. A/C won't blow constantly, it was going off and on by itself. Location crew was helpful and attentive.

My experience at this U-Haul location was truly outstanding. ​The process began flawlessly; the rental truck was exceptionally clean and in great mechanical shape. However, the genuine highlight of my visit was the excellent customer service provided by the staff. ​In particular, Deja is a star. She is one-of-a-kind, demonstrating incredible professionalism, a courteous demeanor, and a genuinely amazing personality. She was very understanding of my needs and performed her job with remarkable efficiency. Deja made the entire rental process seamless and pleasant. I highly recommend this location!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Willie Shine and his outstanding crew at the U-Haul located at 5341 NW 7th Avenue in Miami, FL, and I can't praise them enough for their exceptional service. My move had taken a turn for the worse when the independent helper I booked texted me after three hours of waiting to say he would be even later. I had no choice but to cancel him, leaving me to do most of the work on my own. Working in July’s heat in Miami, feeling frustrated and overwhelmed, Willie Shine and his team stepped in and turned the situation around with their professionalism and expertise. (And ice-cold water) They immediately found a reliable helper, provided me with a spotless new van, and gave invaluable advice on how to best utilize the space in the van to get everything packed efficiently. Not only did they make the entire process easier, but they also adjusted my rental contract to ensure I had enough time to complete the move without any additional stress. Their quick thinking and genuine care made all the difference on a day that could have gone very wrong. I want to give special recognition to Crystal for her rapid solutions and calm demeanor, and to Derrick for his incredible stamina and hands-on approach. Willie Shine and his team treated me with kindness and understanding, making what could have been a nightmare move into a smooth and successful experience. If you're looking for a team that will go above and beyond to ensure your move is as stress-free as possible, I highly recommend Willie Shine and his amazing crew at this U-Haul location. The experience is terrible. We found the storage full of mices / rats and mice and rats' poop. The smell was horrible, and we had to throw away several items such as mattress, bags, bed sheets, shoes, leather chair, with a damage over $2000.00.There is even a mice that was hiding in a box, that we saw running away from the box at our house. She is in the house now and we are fighting to kill it. I will place a claim to recover what I consider is due.

My storage room was scary. It was like the silence of the lamp type of room. Black sticky paint and the floor has holes it’s perfect for rats and insects to enter. The floor is always wet cause there is water leak from the AC. That’s a safety issue right there. The personnel was nice and friendly however I always felt you have guys walking around waiting for a tip! I had a one month free so I what can I expect really.

There was a water leak on the floor and my mother slipped. We informed the staff and the staff quickly fixed the problem. Other than that my experience was good.

First time renting from self storage and my husband’s leg got trapped to the rotted wooden floor. His little finger got damaged while he tried to remove himself out from the hole. My husband had to be rushed to the hospital. At first, when I came to the office, the customer service was laughing at me and not taking me seriously while my husband was in pain. I feel it is negligence from the company for not inspecting an unit for safety before renting it out and unprofessional from the customer service from laughing while someone got an accident.

The staff were all helpful and did whatever they could to accommodate us. I had a great experience except for one detail which was not the fault of the employees at the store. When I called to reserve the storage unit I spoke to someone at the call center. This gentleman was very impatient and he kept cutting me off when I tried to speak. I explained to him that I was looking for a ground level unit because I had knee surgery and couldn’t do stairs. He told me that he only had a 2nd floor unit and assured me multiple times on the call that this storage facility has an elevator and that I should be fine. That was a lie. I couldn’t even change my location because there were no other spaces available at other locations. I had to carry all my belongings up 2 flights of stairs with a bad knee. I believe that this situation could have been avoided if the gentleman had a little empathy and love for his job.

My storage unit was riddled with mice and their droppings. I didn't have any food items for them to eat like i was advised, yet the were in boxes eating my books. Also, even with insurance the items are irreplaceable where i thought they would be safe packaged away. That was not the case! Label me Disappointed!

I only hope this kind of experience is only happening at that location (which is apparently not the case based on what another customer was saying while being there).
