Quick and easy. Good folks who know how yo move you in and out. It's a location that'll been there a long time and it shows its age in some ways but the people working there make it easy.

KEVIN II reserved this trailer, so they knew I was coming to get it. When I get there, we complete the paperwork and as we go out the attendant remember that they didn't have any wiring harnesses to go from my 4 flat connector on my truck to the 4 flat on the trailer. This location had a dozen trailers ready for rent with 3 people picking up trailers at the same time. And not a single wiring harness. I took the trailer without the simple safety equipment of a wire harness. I then spent $15 on the "extension" harness at the auto parts store. With several reservations for trailers and a dozen trailer to rent, it is hard to believe that the location didn't have any wiring harnesses.
ALAN CThe customer service was really good. You might want to hire more people for that location cause it seemed kinda busy with the phones. But we were treated very well! If we need to rent again, we will use this facility again for sure.

GERALD HCustomers should be told to secure door locks/latches with zip ties! The door on my 6x12 tandem axle trailer opened itself TWICE while driving 100 miles. WE are very lucky I didn't lose any valuable possessions.

KEVIN FI'm not sure anyone could be as friendly and helpful as the folks who run this place. They even helped me pull the truck in and position it at the storage building properly, and where super nice, they even got some guys to help me lift a stove out. Can't recommend them highly enough.
Life B | Overall ExperienceI reserved a truck, furniture dolly, and 24 blankets. The truck was available and in good condition. The location had no furniture dolly available for me and only 12 blankets available for me. The staff was very apologetic, but that doesn't solve the issue.This is the third time in the last two years that I have had an ancillary item reserved in addition to a truck from U Haul and the item was not available at the truck pick up location! Something is wrong with the system.

Rodney PAppliance hand trucks were not available as requested online, but the associate was able to procure one from the Roper Mountain location, so I went there to pick them up. Other than that, all was great, including the check in.
William SThe people working there have been helpful and I have used them a few times. I had a utility trailer stolen a few years ago and starting renting a trailer there. i told people for the money it makes more sense to rent from there instead of buying one.

MONET JThe truck we got had a myriad of engine problems happening. The check engine light was on, the tire pressure light came on on the highway. It smelled like the catalytic convertor was going bad. The price per mile was also falsely advertised. On the website it says 0.79$ a mile, and it was 1.09$ a mile which is a significant difference on the final bill.

I am a loyal Uhaul customer and this is the worst storage place I have ever experienced. Def not worth the $100/month I am being charged

Jazmine HThe Wade Hampton location was great, but I was really disappointed with having to use this location as it was on the other side of town. I originally booked this for Roper Mountain location. Simpsonville or Mauldin South Carolina were far superior locations in terms of distance.
NATHAN HTruck engine light was on; screen said right rear tire was low; drivers side visor clip missing and visor kept falling down. Too, I drove 18 miles and it took 4 gallons of gas to get equal! Wow. But, I got the stuff moved without issues so there’s that.

The central dispatching number for U-Haul was very frustrating too (I am 70 years old, and had driven twelve hours the day before pulling a trailer travelling through a window of time between snowstorms. Stressed and strained.) Bravo to U-Haul and the fine staff at your facility.

There was a q-tip from the previous users that had so much ear wax on it that it was sticking to the wall. The insulation inside looks like it will give you asbestos. The move in process wasn’t smooth at all because there’s a huge bump that you have to get over to even get into the facility.

His explanation was that he is the manager of that location and he doesn't work like other managers at other locations and he would be loosing money by giving me a free month. Very disappointing

Because the online reservation system 'crashed,' I was unable to complete my check-in online. Then, on two further occasions - one over the phone and one in-person - my reservation got lost for whatever unknown reasons. Fortunately, the third try was a success, and by the stroke of luck they still had a unit available for me, otherwise I would have been S.O.L. with a truckload full of stuff. Apart from all of this, the storage unit itself was fine, and the people were friendly.

I was afraid we were going to loose them but the management was incredibly compassionate and generous and allowed us to retain the contents of our unit and we are extremely grateful for their kindness. Would reccomend for anyone needing storage. Rent was a good rate too! Thank you! If I had any suggestions it would be to mention that the smallest truck doesn't have a ramp. It is my fault for not reading the info thoroughly but I imagine this happens frequently enough that it is worth noting... again thank you very very much!

He was very helpful. However there is no sign nor anything posted that that location is now primarily just for storage. When the service rep from 1800 uhaul sent me there she should have told me that.

I returned the truck a day early. The employee says oh yeah you did I don't know why this is here we will refund you. 3 weeks later no refund. Everytime I call the store no one wants to help me. U haul is in the business of ripping people off. Wont be using them ever again.

I found the climate controlled area to be uncomfortably hot and the cart by the door was missing a wheel. The unit itself was in good shape but the floor was dirty (found a loose nail) and the rodent trap was unsettling.

When I was moving the pickup time had to be rescheduled and the unit size for storage was not correct size. Customer Service put the wrong size. Trent ( owner) said unit size could not be changed. I had movers cancel on me at the last minute and needed somewhere to store my personal belongings until movers were available. I liked the fact that the unit was inside. The staff was excellent at providing my access card and lock and key. The unit itself was clean and very easy to access. When it was time to turn everything back in I had no trouble at all. The staff was friendly fast and efficient. If I were to ever have this situation occur again I would not hesitate to rent another unit.

The restroom was spotless and the two young men inside were very helpful and pleasant. The one that initially waited on us even helped me pick a unit for storage that would be easiest for me to drive the 20' truck to! When we finished putting our things in the unit, the other young man who checked us out was nice enough to get the truck and back it out for me. Recommend this U-Haul site if you need to rent a truck or a storage unit.

Miki S | Overall ExperienceVery unprofessional. Over priced. My unit was ransacked and items like a bookcase belonging to my grandfather stolen. Due to the gate being broken for five months. Units full of mouse/rat excrement & urine. Everything stored had to be thoroughly cleaned before moving into our home, resulting in a extremely costly expense. Very difficult to move around facility due to U-haul moving trucks parked haphazardly along the sides and in the rows leading to the storage unit. I definitely do NOT recommend unless you're desperate. The storage facility I use now is locked, video cameras record each vehicle. And your time you open & close the gate until you open & close to leave is recorded. Only one vehicle can enter at a time and the units are clean. For a lot less money. Thank goodness I no longer have to use the storage facility at 529 Wade Hampton Blvd! One more thing, the largest unit they offer is 10 x 15. If you have a full 26 ft. truck you'll need two units. And that's with professional people packing each unit neatly and using every bit of space. Two units cost $289.90 every month, with vermin infested, hard to get to, no security, etc. Decide for yourself, but I won't use them again.

The first room I rented had fiber panels in the ceiling damage and hanging from the ceiling coming in contact with it. I complained and the staff moved me to another room. This room had rat droppings on and in my boxes. I complained and ask for the box that controlled the rats. It didn't work and later I complained again then they moved me to another room. The rats were coming from a small hole in the rear wall This was a nasty, unsanitized, and unsafe room. I moved out yesterday and I will never rent another storage area from this Uhaul. I have used them in past years and never had any problems until I rented from this facility.
