While attempt to get a storage unit during store hours I was highly disappointed with the wait time. The staff who assisted us left multiple times. We spent about an hour attempting to complete the process.

It appeared to be a clerical error and I was given another vehicle and on my way. By far the most helpful was Byron, must be why he’s the manager. Literally every time I’ve dealt with someone here there’s been an attitude or indifference. The facility is great, it just needs a staff who actually cares. With that being said I’d use you again. The only issues I’ve had came from dealing with staff.

ANN S | First ImpressionsHire some employees who act like they got some common sense ALL the people I interacted with were extremely rude and unprofessional and to be honest the troll who checked in my truck was flat out incompetent I'll never come back to this location again why is all the corporate store your employees act like they just hate their life and can't stand being thier I was left unattended in office for 20 min took selfie and uploaded it to my Google review to prove it while I waited over 30 mins to check in my truck and get my cash deposit back my wife try to use the restroom and it was disgusting piss on floor all over toilet and dirty diaper laying on the floor I've seen cleaner bathrooms at the local truck stop the incompetent employee even ended up calling the gm who was apparently hiding in the back the entire time I was waiting made me late to open my business so I'll definitely use penske for my truck rental needs from now on what a horrible experience even the lady before me they gave her a truck with a flat tire #do better

Instead they transferred it to a facility in Indianapolis and never let us know it was there or we had to schedule the delivery again. Then they charged us for the delivery to the house on top of the 2100.00. Then it took several call to even get it delivered. Never again U-haul!
ROBIN BUpon trying to cancel my storage unit the staff was very rude and did not explain that I could have done the entire procedure through the app. After figuring it out for myself I was able to close the app quickly and easily. Which was useful considering the person at the front desk who knew I was going to the storage unit to take pictures left for a period greater than 20 minutes and did not return to assist me. Normally I would be more forgiving since it was a busy time. But there were two people at the front desk and they both disappeared.

MICHAEL GI was over charged for an extra day, only found out thanks to checking my bank statement, not because of them actually sending my a receipt (never got one from them) and when customer service tried to call to get it reversed they were hung up on, so now what should of been able to be resolved instantly over the phone is going to take much longer. When I asked about a storage unit with my one way rental was told that couldn't do so with them.

DEANNA HCheck out procedure was excellent. Online inspection link made it easy to take a photo of the vehicles all sides. The GM checked me out quick and easy. Vehicle was in good condition. The only issue was the fan speed setting knob was stripped. Returning the van was quick drop-off and the attendant was clear about drop off procedures. Very impressed with the Uhaul system.

DAVID JCheck-in was pretty chaotic, I had to answer all of the same questions I had already answered on the online check-in, and then I was told the truck was "way in the back", with nobody telling me exactly where that was. I then got in the vehicle which said on paper it had over 1/4 of a tank, and it was down to closer to 1/8 or 1/16 with a warning to get fuel immediately. I would have appreciated someone letting me know to do the vehicle check on my phone before driving. I took pictures and then later saw the text from U-Haul and I couldn't upload those pictures, so I had to take new pictures with the wrong gas amount and mileage.

The 1st truck they gave my they gave me the key and I went out to the parking lot and they didn’t even have the van in the parking lot !! Horrible location customer service not great. Ppl seems like they didn’t know what was going on. Can’t handle large crowds!! Never will go to this location again - NO !!
JESSICA BThey gave us the wrong key and truck number and told us to wander the lot to find the wrong truck. That truck was actually listed for sale and not on the lot. When we finally got the correct key the truck had trash in the back including a car bumper, airconditioner and cardboard boxes full of trash. The gas tank was on empty-luckily there was a gas station close by. The girl at the counter who rented us the truck complained the entire time about how busy they were and that she just wanted to go home. Horrible experience and we will never go back to this location.
Barbara CThe fuel meter and mileage I was given was off. Not by much, but enough that I had to submit a correction. Truck I used needed steering, and transmission work. (very, almost dangerously loose steering, gear lever was very finicky and often skipped gears when trying to select one, and the truck failed to shift into drive when selecting drive once. I was charged for two days because I was three hours late, even though I returned it after-hours, meaning the location was still able to rent it out the next day. My phone died during the overly complicated return process, and trying to find confirmation that the return process was done was a pain in the ass.

CHARLENE SSched 5am pickup. App was crashed so I had to wait in parking lot for 2 hours, and was late to my destination by 2hours. Returned truck in evening- around 530, 16 hours ago. Still not showing as returned. The truck was awful- left side of seat springs were shot- makes your spine crooked to sit. I propped a hoody under left cheek to get some balance. Driver door often does t close all the way but do t realize until driving. Steering wheel wobbles greatly when braking. Staff was very nice both in AM and at drop off, but no one has done anything for my 2 hour wait
Dawn DAs you know, UHaul has been a trusted name for generations. We were looking for a convenient location for our storage needs. We were also looking for a temperature controlled environment. The staff helped us find almost exactly what we wanted (proximity to the entrance). They took the time to find the closest unit available for us. We are great full for their help, and they were a great example of what customer service should be, definitely recommend! Keep this up, and UHaul will always be there for generations to come.

DESMOND W | First Impressionsfix your insurance policy. Should be like car renters- should be able to use your car insurance when renting from uhaul. For our moves in the future we will look for other truck rental companies, for this reason. If someone ask about a rental company, would inform them of this location, but would also tell them that we wont be using uhaul anymore due to its insurance policy.
ABRAHAM KI hadn't rented in awhile and was surprised to see a completely new staff that clearly has no idea what they're doing. It's a mess without Joe! Mileage and fuel was wrong on my rental, both drivers side tires were low and turn signal out. The girl that helped me said it was just a sensor despite me telling her they were obviously low. I took it home and aired them up myself but they were low again when I returned. I waited under the canopy for 20 mins while workers went in and out of the door but no one spoke to me. I took the keys inside and handed them to the same worker the gave me the rental. Again I told her about the tires and turn signal. She wrote it down and said it would be sent to service and she would email me my receipt. Imagine my surprise when two days later I get a text message accusing me of stealing the vehicle. They had tried to call me prior to that but the number comes up as spam and no voicemail was left so I had no idea there was an issue. Couldn't get anyone to answer when I called so I drove over. Go figure the vehicle had been parked at the front of the lot and keys hung up but never checked in. Why it wasn't checked prior to trying to contact me to see if the vehicle was there makes no sense to me. The mileage and fuel was different from when I dropped it off and I was told I would be credited for a days rental for the trouble of coming in to deal with the issue, that didn't happen either. No one seems to know what they're doing. There's no organization at all. Pam wasn't exactly pleasant but atleast things ran smoothly with her and Joe. Also the van smelled horrible, the windshield was dirty.
SARAH BThey were not prepared. They gave me 2 trucks that were blocked in. Almost made me late for my move. The U-Haul truck was very wobbly and off balance. I had to steer the wheel off centered for it to drive semi straight.

Heather BThe Assistant Manager was rude! She yelled at a customer that was trying to pay her storage bill.. she also yelled at Robert on of the employees. ( he was awesome by the way) He was just giving a solution to the problem to hep the customer The assistant manager got angry and said she was leaving all while three customers were in the building. I got back to return the rental ant 6:50 right before the store was closing and the two lady’s that were there was very rude. She look at the clock, snatched the key and said well check it back in. So no I will not be returning, I will be canceling my next rental. I will not recommend.. Robert was very nice and professional and he ended up helping the customer that had a disagreement with the assistant manager.
FAYSHAWN LI had a great experience! Easy check in and easy check out. I interacted with the same representative when I came to rent the van and when I returned it - I wish that I could remember her name because she was amazing!
HELEN LWilliam was wonderful! He was patient and calm throughout the whole process! He saw I had my 4year old daughter with me & WAS STRUGGLING trying to get everything out so he helped get my things out and helped moved me in my storage. He's the real MVP! CAUSE TODAY WAS A DAY!! Thank you William

When they get so busy they loose attention to detail and forget to give people what they ordered like the dolly that was supposed to be in my truck and wasn’t. Then when you pull up to check the truck back in there is no one to be found and have to wait in line for 30 minutes to get $7 credited back. So instead I do the mobile check in and let them have the extra $7 because I have to be somewhere. Maybe this is how they make their tips! Enjoy you $7 tip, I won’t be back!

ELI SI hope this message finds you well. I am writing to provide feedback from my recent visit to your location concerning my truck rental experience. First, I encountered an issue with the wait time. I spent about 15-20 minutes in line as Brittany seemed to engage extensively with the customer in front of me. While I understand the importance of customer service, it became a significant delay in my transaction. Later, when it came to the dolly I had rented, I was informed that despite having a dolly on the truck already, I would still need to pay for its use. It was unusual because I believed this specific truck, which has a ramp, should typically come with a dolly. Furthermore, I had to take a picture for verification, and to make matters worse, Brittany suggested that I might have cut a zip tie to use the dolly improperly, which felt unfair and unwarranted. I would appreciate your attention to these matters, as they greatly affected my experience. Thank you for considering my feedback, and I hope future customers will not face similar issues. JENNIFER Wmaybe clean the outside of the equipment a little more; I only this because the 2025 cargo van I rented was filthy outside (not that it REALLY matters) but the windows were super rough.

ERIC MI rented the uhual at 11. The company, after I left, pulled a truck up and told my son it was our truck. My son had to explain that it wasn’t we checked the license plate number and the keys fit in the one i left in. Then at noon I get a call asking why I hadn’t returned the truck it was due back at 11. The same day an hour after I rented it. On top of that the truck itself seemed to not kick into gear well (with tow haul off). It would rev the engine and would hit 5000+rpm, i let off the gas and it would catch and switch gears. Made for a less than pleasurable experience. The front desk worker who checked me in was an awesome lady, great employee.

Once I got to the location I was met by a worker who informed me that there were no outside units and also informed me that I was booked for a small unit and that the website only allows you to get the small unit for the first month free deal. He then stated that if I scratched his back by paying him $50 that he would give me the one month free deal. He also stated that on my paperwork it would say that the one month was free and that the next month I would have to pay $129. He was attempting to scam me. When returning the truck later on that day I literally stood by why he made a similar deal with an older gentleman that was there in line in front of me. I took my business elsewhere and asked them to cancel out my contract. However since I am receiving this email I assume they did not. So I guess I will have to call in. Horrible experience!!!

Angela C | First ImpressionsI asked for a reservation at the facility at the 6500 block of Washington and by the time I checked my email I noticed that my reservation was made at the wrong facility which does not have 24-hour access which was what I was looking for in the first place and when I tried to change to the other facility I was told that they did not have the size of a storage unit that I needed and could not change the price of a larger one to accommodate the price that I had originally been quoted. So not a great experience

I rented out space and my items was only there for 2days or 3 days tops than I gather everything up and moved into my new home… I continue to receive calls months from the manager. After me telling the manager the unit was empty I was charged for at least 3months of rent while not even occupying the space. This is horrible and I will never go to Uhaul again.

I had to locate alternate company storage immediately to empty the truck very disappointed.

I have called this facility many many times and they route the calls to the national call center. They then call me that Location personnel will call me back. It never happened. They finally call back after the auto pay was cancelled for a storage that I moved out from....which I was calling them about for two weeks. There's more to the story .....Surprisingly.. I received a call whitin a day or two because they accidentally turned off the auto pay from My second storage that I still have over there...asking me for my credit card!...very incompetent ! Except for one male personnel, everyone else is rude.

I was told that the manager was going to return my call. Even regional promised that I was going to be called. I left two messages with manager...no return call. They finally called me because I removed the automatic payment. They tagged my storage ready to be rented on March 14 before I even got a chance to clean and closed it myself. They won't prorated my rent when they chose to tag my unit. They only call when they are not getting paid. They are rude as well.

There was no such thing so I had to go hunting for a lock around town. Not convenient for me, nor was it honest in the communication about the unit. That is the only reason I would not recommend this place to a friend.

I only picked u-haul storage because online it stated you got one month free with a u-haul truck rental. I spoke to the gentleman that rented me my storage unit and truck about it when I returned the truck and he said ”oh we’re not doing that promotion anymore. They’ll eventually get it off (the website)“ I stated that was why we had picked u-haul but he didn’t seem to care.

I was told they have dumpsters but not for you to use & was threatened with $150.00 disposal charge. The manager had no sympathy & was very hateful. The climate control and cleanliness of all areas (including restrooms) is outstanding. The area set aside to leave/pickup unwanted items is an added bonus. In addition to the helpful staff, what I probably liked most was the ability to pull my vehicle inside, out of the weather, to load/unload. Should the situation arise in the future where I am in need of extra storage, I will definitely use this location again and highly recommend them to others. Ron Sutton Indianapolis

I rented a 26ft. truck and upon return the gentleman was not friendly because we arrived 15 minutes prior to close. He made sure I knew he was not happy to stay a few minutes over. The next morning I met Pam the GM and she was gracious, pleasant and very very knowledgeable of her store and operations She deserves a raise and someone to listen how to make things better. good job Pam
