Overall, my experience with U-Haul was good. The truck worked well and the rental process was easy. However, I was disappointed during the return process. After dropping off the truck, I stepped outside to take a phone call. As I walked back into the garage area, I heard an employee loudly say, “Oh hell no, this is disgusting.” I had used the truck to transport plants, so there was some soil left behind, but it was nothing excessive or unusual considering the type of rental. I understand and accepted the $50 cleaning charge without any issue. What bothered me was the way the situation was handled. The employee’s comments felt unprofessional and inappropriate, especially knowing that I was nearby and could hear them. The cleaning itself took less than a minute with a blower. I appreciate the overall service, but I hope employees are reminded to treat customers respectfully, even when discussing cleaning or maintenance concerns.
Miriam EI brought the vehicle back like i always do with more gas then I left with and was charged for 2 gallons of gas which is crazy since I drove 3 miles

Noah RThe process was a miss the entire way. Had to get 2 extra boxes because the right amount was not recommended. The moving help person who I ordered for packing/loading refused to pack/load unless I paid more. The boxes were not delivered on time. When the moving help picked up the boxes to unpack/unload the box was turned the wrong way and that cost 2-3 hours for moving help yo go back and get it fixed. Not a good experience.
DUANE AI really enjoyed how I pulled the vehicle into the equipment return area. So all I had to do was pull up and return the key. I wasn’t looking forward to parking the 26 footer.

YAROSLAV PDuring the check in .there was not any instructions for the truck. And not any instructions on how to calculate gas usage and how to use your little instructions on how to figure out how much to gas to refuel .All I got at turn in was sorry about that a couple of times about not explaining things . Bah

Ashkan AEmployee told me I was going to be charged $15 for cleaning the back of the truck bed. I swept it out. Then she said one part was still dirty and would have to be mopped to clean it. My response was do you have proof that I did it? I was willing to mop it. Seemed to be customer unfriendly. I’ve never had that happen to me before. So I assume it’s this location that teaches their employees this way of doing business

Adam PThe wait time took over an hour because of the system going down and I was given the wrong information on the drop off location. They said I can drop it off anywhere, even a storage place that has U-Hauls and that is not true. Thank God the lady there called me and told me to come back and get the truck and told me where to drop it off at because the CS Agent at this location could not pull up where to drop it off at so he told me I can do it anywhere. This could have cost me $300 so I am grateful to the lady that called me. Employees just need to be more informed but were nice, and it was not their fault the system went down.

Mohd KI had a horrible an experience with U-Haul . I scheduled days in advance a 15” moving truck. A representative calls me last minute to change my truck to a 10” and trailer. NEVER AGAIN. Worst experience also the initial drop off was a smoke shop with nowhere to park had to call Uhail AGAIN to send a proper location with space. This is why I chose a specific truck for my needs. I will not rent with U-Haul again. I will look into Home Depot rentals. I feel like I deserve a partial refund for all the trouble I had to go through today.

JOSE MThe customer was able to rent under my phone number and email address, which is odd as I live in Georgia. This rental seems sketchy to me . I’m watching credit and personal Info as this might be a soft inquiry before trying something monetary.
Kellie TThe truck shuttered uncontrollably between 50 mph and 65 mph. Anything above 65 and the car would shake dangerously. Upon starting, the vehicle makes a strange grinding noise before rolling smoothly. Upon braking the truck would also shudder uncontrollably. We called roadside service, but did not have time for them to arrive.

BRUCE MThe location itself was convenient, and well stocked. However I did encounter 2 issues. 1. We picked up our moving truck in person with staff, without any issue, however once we got home we realized the back of the truck door was padlocked and chained. We had only been given the keys to the truck, not the padlock. We had to return to the location to be given the key for the padlock. 2. Despite being adequately staffed, no one answers phones here. I tried over 10+ to get someone on the phone during operating hours and no one ever picked up. When I arrived I saw available employees, the store was not overwhelmed with customers, and don't see a reason why the phones could not be answered.

Not only did they take care of the tires and accommodate the gas (only requiring that I fill up where it was left off), they got me squared away on a last minute storage unit, AND when they saw that I was by myself, they helped me heavy lift my items. I wouldn't have been able to relocate to my new destination if their service wasn't so exceptional. Thank you. Give these young men a raise!!!
