The initial drop off/pick up was great, no isssues at all. However, when it was time to have the box delivered to the new address on 5/24, it was one of the worst customer services of my life. I was told to be ready by 7AM, and given the window of 7-12pm. I called the Horsham office multiple times and could not get through. I called the corporate line several times and was told they would get back to me, they didn’t understand the delay, etc. They said the driver had not even arrived until 9AM and then they couldn’t reach her, but I was never updated about the ETA. There was no effort to update me and I wasted my day, my entire move was scheduled around this, it was a huge hassle and inconvenience and I wasted infuriated at the lack of communication or respect for my time.

Samuel BI booked a 6x12 trailer with a ramp on 5/23 for 5/24 over the phone with the bensalem location to pick up at feasterville location since they didn't have it available. My husband went to pick it up at 8am at the feasterville location to find out it actually wasn't available. Told him that they had the wrong phone# which was incorrect because I've used uhaul numerous times in the past - most recently 2 weeks ago to pick my daughter up from college. I logged into the account to find my phone # was correct with all other information.. name, address, DL #, etc. They then had us go all the way to horsham location as that was the closest available which was very far from my home. This was completely inconvenient and really put a delay in the things we needed to do. I would actually prefer a refund for the hassle we went through for almost 3 hours just to get the trailer. I've ALWAYS used uhaul for anything we needed and I will continue to do so as this was the only bad experience. It was as if no one could get it right. The girl at the feasterville location also updated our reservation back to bensalem for 5:15pm after telling us to go to the horsham location. I have all the screen shots of the chaos/ confirmations that were all contradicting. Just ridiculous.
WILLIAM APaul was great and does an excellent job maintaining that facility. I have noticed the lack of staff at that location and lines and wait times are crazy. Also, was not happy that when I rented the Toy Uhaul Trailer. I had to contact 1-800 Uhaul because there were no local facilities open in Trenton NJ to drop it off. I had to call 1-800 Uhaul several times and wait to be directed to a location that was open. Wasted over 20 mins on the phone trying to get a drop off location. Very annoyed behind that and makes me not wanna do business with Uhaul in the future.

I made reservations for 24 , they kept trying to call a switch even after they said they won't I received 4 more texts changing my reservations and had to keep calling them the day before. It was already a stressful situation and it made this worse. The day of we waited 30 min in line even after I checked us in "online" I still had to continue to wait for the key, go out find the truck , of course it was plugged in , continue to wait for them to disconnect it. THEN the older gentleman comes out disconnect the truck and just walked away. Never closed the hood never said ok all set just walked away we waited another 5 min before I had to find him and ask if he was done since he just rudely walked away without closing the hood of the truck and saying anything to us. I understand busy but for 20 min there was only 1 person with a line of 7 waiting. He never called for help and then the other guy came in flustered as all hell and made it even worse ( the same guy that unplugged and walked away) this location is usually the easiest of convenience and if I do use them again it is simply for that not for customer service. They need to do better with the entire process. If I explain my situation and that I cannot change my reservation that should have been the end of it then trying to sell me on a storage unit. There's a time and place if I needed it I would have selected it when I booked it online as yes it said they were free for the month there too.

Lisa YAbsolute disaster, a completely ridiculous experience. The first truck you gave me HAD A WHEEL FALL OFF ON THE PA TURNPIKE! It almost killed me. We were then stranded for two days waiting for you to figure out if it would be repaired or replaced with a different truck. TWO DAYS! I was told my rental would be extended for the two days lost to this, IT WAS NOT! I was told my two nights hotel cost would be refunded to me, IT WAS NOT! (and I sent the receipts to you TWICE) Of the four different people I dealt with at roadside assistance, only Anthony (the first person I was connected to) genuinely cared about our situation and followed through on the things he said. The others did not do what they said, never followed up. Overall, U-haul showed that they simply do not care about their customers at all. This was a nightmare for my family, and I will never again use your services. You are absolutely horrible.

MICHAEL KThe attendant welcomed me, asked if the truck was fueled and clean (which it was) and told me that I could leave the key in the truck and would receive a final receipt via email. When I received the receipt, I had incurred an additional $50 charge - part for fuel and part for cleaning of the truck. However, I fueled the truck to the same level it was at when I rented, and the truck was in the same physical condition as when I rented it - a one way move on a dry, sunny day. I feel that these charges were deceptive and that the attendant should have spent time with me inspecting the truck upon return instead of dismissing me thinking all was ok and then assessing a $50 charge. Very frustrating conclusion to an otherwise seamless rental experience.

EDWARD OI want to personally thank Michael (shipping) and Paul (GM) for their time, patience and sensitively to hearing me out when my initial rental went off the rails right out of the gate. I was very leery and nervous about using U-boxes when I initially made my reservation in late September for 6 boxes for a move happening 12/29 and I also reserved a pick up date of 1/31 as our lease ended that day and the units HAD to be offsite. . I stopped by their facility many, many times and they let me speak with them and also visit the storage site where the contents of my home would be kept. On the day of the delivery, I was told by Mohammed (traffic supervisor) the boxes would not be delivered due to an issue at the facility (not entirely true). The boxes wound up being delivered 2 hours late, not a real problem. However, on the day the U-boxes were scheduled to be picked up, I was told that was usually done before 12 noon. Noon came and went and no sign of U-haul. I call the office and was told the driver had left for the day and there was not a confirmation that they needed to be picked up that day. I told Mohammed that I had scheduled the pick up date at the very beginning and he said he would need to check the call log. I asked if he found that I did reserve the pick up date, would he send the driver to pick up. He told me flat out no......so what is the point of a recorded line?? He told me the pick up was scheduled for 1/4 (NOT TRUE) and that he would get them picked up on 1/2/2025. One of the Uboxes was in front of the condo dumpster and I was charge for a missed garbage pick up ($250.00) which was deducted from my security deposit. I asked for compensation and he said he would look into it. Finally, after numerous calls to him (unreturned) I had to call corporate to get him to call back. He stated that he did not have any record of the 12/31/2024 pick up and I stopped him mid sentence and told him I had an email that stated CLEARLY a pick up date of 12/31. He told me they would process a credit of $50.00, boy that helped. I understand not everything goes according to plan but being in the logistics field myself, you need to have a backup plan to keep customers somewhat happy and feel like you're doing your best. NOT HERE. Worst of all, I was not being told the truth along the way.....at least do that. Again, the guys at the local office, great people. They even gave me their cell numbers for the delivery of the boxes to our new home. They are the best!!! Needless to say, I will not be doing business with U-haul again due to this experience. Beyond awful, especially during a stressful time of packing and moving your life to another state in an entirely new community

Unless you walk the length of the hall to trigger the exterior lights, the interior was still too dark to see anything. Second the exterior card reader was down 70% of the time I rented the locker. Which in turn you had to go into the front office, wait in line (sometimes 10-15 minutes) to ask to be let in the back door. Lastly it took the last time I visited for someone to correct my name on the card from Dave to Fred.

When asked the staff knew but said the storage manager was not there for well over a week not on vacation. Staff did not know how to open the main doors on one occasion and had to let me in through the employee door. Staff was in general not helpful or friendly anytime I was there. They all had headphones in and did not pay attention to what they were doing. I had to repeat myself multiple times to every employee. At move out I rented a van from this location. It took 2 employees over 40 minutes and 3 different contracts to get the van I asked for initially. They then argued with me when I reported that the gas in the truck did not match the gauge on the contract. I reported this before leaving the property and they argued that I had used the difference already and wanted me to return the truck with more fuel than it was given to me. I will not be renting or storing at this location and recommend that any family and friends avoid it as well.

The storage units themselves are ‘basic’ with open ceiling structure, meaning mice / rats / bugs from a neighbor unit can easily infest the unit where I stored my stuff. The lights weren’t all working and it was dark in the unit, couldn’t see easily what were were doing. I rated yes to all the question above but would have maybe on most if the choice was avail.

Found my UBox at another location and it’s been unlocked. UBox still has yet to be delivered to the location so my rented unit sits empty. Reps are nice once you get hold of one but all the information fed is untrue.

I have not seen that refund and it has been over a month of waiting. Can someone please help me get the promised refund as promised? I was formerly in Unit# 2046 at your Horsham facility. I spent over $4,000.00 dollars moving to Florida using a U-Haul truck and was happy until promises were broken on the refund.

The only downside was the sliding door (#12 door) to the storage units was often in op forcing me to walk around to get to my storage unit. More regular PM of this access door would prevent this, imo.

Ronald W | First ImpressionsI have never had such a bad experience and paying so much a month. If I was not pregnant I would have moved storage facilities. You never knew if the card would read and open the door. Sometimes the doors were locked during operating hours. Other times one door wouldn’t work and you were stuck using a small entrance door. I could never pay my bill online because my info was incorrect and I had made multiple attempts to correct it and got no place. There was a time I went to pay my monthly rent and I was told the person did not know how to use the debit payment method that I needed to come back and then they wanted to charge me a late fee because of their own employees fault. With this storage facility it was always something and I would not recommend it.

They said we could park the truck in the lot and unpack the next day. I started out with one storage unit and whenever I needed another I simply asked and they were able to find me one close. lisa r | First ImpressionsFirst of all when I go to my storage the main light goes out after a certain time and I have to go back and restart the light. Also I had moved out and told them that I was emptying out my unit and when I told them that everything is out and cleaned the person told me that everything is okay no payment. Then I was billed for December of $191 I called and was told that I will be refunded and it will be in my checking account in 3-4 days. That time period went by and no refund came in so I went to the Horsham location and at first I had a hard time with the person on the counter ( I was in a middle of moving out which during that time frame I left some items which I took my lock with me to use at the storage facility. Which they had placed a lock there that’s no problem I was glad that they did that.) I had the manager to go and opened the door. Well when I was talking to the person about it she said that I had left it in a trashy condition which I told her that the manager went with me to open the door which I had emptied and swept out and cleaned the unit. She told me that the person that I was talking on the phone was terminated on that day I didn’t believe that. She told me that I will be getting a refund but it will be another 5 days which had frustrated me a lot. She wasn’t look concerned about the situation .

Even the Call Center was unable to contact the facility and sent a message to the facility to call back. Have not gotten a call back. Email message was sent to my son and when I replied back to the email address it was sent from, I got a message that it was "Undeliverable".

The prices are VERY reasonable. Controlled heating and cooling, so your belongings DON'T get damaged in ANY way. I would recommend renting a storage until from U-Haul to EVERYBODY and ANYBODY.
