⭐☆☆☆☆ What exactly is the purpose of making a reservation with U-Haul if the company has no intention of honoring it? I reserved a truck nearly TWO MONTHS in advance. On the day of pickup, I arrived at the Colesville location on New Hampshire Avenue and Randolph Road only to be told they didn’t have a truck for me. Not that there would be a delay. Not that my truck was on its way. Simply that there was no truck available. The solution? Send me somewhere else. The Colesville staff directed me to the Spencerville location and assured me my reservation would be fulfilled there. After wasting more time driving across town, I arrived to discover they had absolutely no record of my reservation and, unbelievably, no truck available there either. Their solution? Send me somewhere else. By this point, I was spending my moving day driving around Maryland chasing a truck that I had already reserved two months earlier. I was then sent to Rockville, where I finally received a truck after hours of unnecessary delays, confusion, and frustration. Let’s be clear: U-Haul failed at the one thing it was hired to do. A reservation should not be a suggestion. It should be a commitment. Instead, U-Haul treated my reservation like a meaningless piece of paper and wasted hours of my time during an already stressful move. The most shocking part is that no one seemed surprised by this. It felt as though sending customers from location to location hoping someone eventually has a truck is just standard operating procedure. U-Haul owes customers an explanation as to why it accepts reservations it cannot fulfill. If inventory isn’t available, stop taking reservations. If a location cannot honor a reservation, customers should be notified before they arrive—not after they’ve rearranged their schedules and shown up expecting the truck they were promised. I lost valuable time, incurred additional travel costs, and dealt with needless stress because of U-Haul’s incompetence and lack of coordination. The only thing U-Haul successfully moved that day was me—from Colesville to Spencerville to Rockville—in search of the truck I had already reserved. Absolutely unacceptable.

I filled up the tank with $10 of gas. I indicated when I picked it up that the gauge was not in the right place. It showed 1/4 of gas, but it was less. And I still filled it. And then I was charged $10 to fill the gas. That was ridiculous and not right. In addition, the car had a warning light the entire time about tires. Which makes a move stressful.

Erol was fantastic! Professional, polite, helpful. Would definitely use this location again. Only caution: there is no AC since February since the landlord doesn’t want to turn it on so it’s hot in there! Fix it!!!

All is good. I like this location, the guys working there are nice. Also, I was there on a Saturday and there is plenty of parking available unlike some other locations which are space limited. I’ll continue to use this location for U-Haul needs.

This location is in a weird location in an office building. There's no signage by the street - I found it by seeing the truck in the parking lot. One guy who helped me was great. The other, who also checked us out, was clearly hating life. I don't take it personally, but I wouldn't want this guy representing my business! I won't be using this location again.

It had 3/8 tank, so I had to fill it up. When I got back it had 3/4 tank I GOT NO CREDIT. BAD POLICY. Send the truck with gas. Or give credit. When returned with less gas we get charged. BAD WAY TO MAKE MONEY. ROBBERY OF GOOD CUSTOMER !!!

Computer system was very slow and it took almost 30 minutes to get the truck key. I should have just used the app from the beginning. Also they only had one furniture dolly when I needed 2. It is a convenient location.

Fix the gate/door to the back of the truck, which was hard to open. After raising it a few inches, it stuck and required a lot of force to get it past that "stuck" spot.

There were no people there. I had to leave the key in a box outside that was not locked. So easy for someone to steal the key and then the truck.

I was helped by an associate that was definitely helpful, however I was given a huge car trailer "toy hauler" which is not what I needed. I asked for a car carrier, which is much smaller in size. Due to the weight of and size of the car carrier fuel cost me way more than it would have cost me if I had been given the proper trailer. Uhaul's customer service was totally useless over the weekend, I spent hours on the phone dealing with messed up reservations and issues being moved from my agreed pickup location to over an hour away. I will never use Uhaul again, next time I will use another rental company like Penske or someone else. Waste of money, waste of fuel money and it took an hour to get it hooked up because of the equipment issues!

I forgot the gentleman‘s name but who ever was the sole person running that location of Monday Feb 9th was a shorter latino man. He was amazing!! He was professional and helpful and had a great friendly attitude. 10/10 would recommend this location !

Hello, This is a great U-Haul location. Staff is very helpful, efficient and always available via the phone if needed. After returning the vehicle I realized that I forgot to re-gas it. When my receipt was emailed the next day the price listed. I believe that the staff correctly added my portion of gas. Trust matters. Thank you!

I was originally scheduled for another location but the reservation was canceled without any notification to advise of the cancellation. I was rescheduled at another location but the cancellation was very inconvenient and caused me extra charges as I had movers scheduled.

You send out too many emails and texts after the vehicle is picked up. I got 5 emails and 3 texts. I completely missed the text about taking pictures of the van. Then when I did notice it the link had expired.

I was so pleased with the truck I rented. It was a 10 foot box truck. It was practically brand new. It only had 288 miles on it. It was very easy to drive with plenty of power and surprisingly good gas mileage.
