I drove less than the 40 miles I estimated and was told the charge would be changed. It was not. I ordered the $10 pads and dolly offer. I was charged $12. The most important thing is that the right outside mirror would not stay in position. I fixed it numerous times but upon driving for a short distance it always moved and I could not see traffic on my right side. This almost caused one accident since I could not see if there was anyone in the right lane behind me when changing lanes. I tried to only drive in the right lane, whenever possible, from that time forward. I told the person who examined the truck about this problem and told him no one should be given this truck until it is fixed. I asked him to report this to the management at this location.

When I got the location early Sunday morning to pick up the truck that I reserve. I was unable to do so, because someone did not do their job the day before. I had to wait there until an employee got to work to get a truck. Then I was given the key to a truck that I couldn't move because something was wrong with the back tire and it was dirty.

My husband and I went there he was on the phone ( had the phone on speaker) cussing out a customer about some $500 , it was three other people there in the room listening on the conversation and we all know the lady’s (customer on phone) name , card information, I told my husband we need to go to a different location he man ( representative for U-Haul ) told us to wait on him even though he is in the middle of cussing out this other customer on the phone and there is other people ahead of us. I told him we leaving because I didn’t have much time to wait he put the lady on hold to address me by telling me this is America, trust me by that point my husband know I was going to go off on him so he than told him we definitely leaving. The man ( U-Haul) told us he wish that the other location we going to don’t have we need….. I’m so sorry that I didn’t get his name but the location is 7726 Finn’s lane Lanham Md….

The moving company was horrible and broke my things but over all the customer service lady at the U-Haul was very polite and had good customer service.

Stop charging customers unnecessarily. I took the truck at 154156 miles and I returned it at 154178 which is a total of 22 miles and I was charged for 40 miles. That's a difference of 18 miles. This is not a good business. Please send me back the difference of 18 miles that I was charged for.

Received truck with 3/4 tank of gas and I returned truck 3/4 tank of gas. Was still charged $18. The representative instructed me to bring it back 3/4 tank. I drove the truck 37 miles truck did not use 4 gallons for 37 miles usage.

I wish there was a way to give higher marks. The storage area was very clean and well lit. Access was perfect because, I didn't have steps or elevators to take to get to my unit. The experience of setting up the unit was very good. I saw examples of the spaces to choose from so I was well informed. Everyone was so helpful, even the workers outside. The ladies and gentlemen at the front desk in the service center were super helpful and so nice. The online people ended up giving me the wrong type of storage unit and the ladies at the front checked it out for me, realized it, and got some of my rent knocked down since I didn’t get the size I was paying for, they were super helpful and nice as could be. The place was sooo clean and loved how many carts they had for moving help. This experience was great and I will definitely be using U-Haul storage in the future for all my storage needs. Loved it.

The office was locked up 15 minutes early causing us to miss our flight and get a motel room for the night. The next day they were wonderful, but the whole ordeal did cost me a lot of extra money simply because someone wanted to go home early!

I have been out with a massive heart attack and rehabilitation has been averse for me I have made several attempts to contact Ms Mary at Uhaul and been unsuccessful. I did have the pleasure of speaking to a young man who stated he works there at uhaul and took down my message and inform me he would make sure Ms Mary gets my message I'm still waiting and this been months ago. Hopeful you all have not sold my belongs and I can still obtain them please notify me if this is obtainable

I received excellent service at the U-Haul location in Landover, MD. Mr. Byrd took his time to explain the type of services they had, and he did not hesitate to answer any of my questions. He also gave me time to select the type of accommodations I needed, and he also gave options to choose from. He and the other employees were both professional and courteous. I would recommend this U-Haul location to all of my friends and family.

The associate did not book my storage with my truck as I requested. I had to call the day of to rebook! I got to the facility with my movers and the Hispanic girl was Rude and has a smart mouth and condescending attitude.I get to the unit it has a lock nothing they can do! I was sent to another place where the Gm,Don was helpful. But because of this I incurred significantly more charges with the movers because of them having to repack the truck,go to a different location unload again! So I was very unhappy!!

1. I was shocked disappointed, and angry to learn that there were no elevators. How irresponsible is that of Uhaul. 2. When booking the truck I told the representative that I had a 1 bedroom. When arriving at Lanham/Bowie, I discovered that the representative was wrong. My items did not fit the storage selected. 3. There was only one person serving customers and his customer service was horrible. He had a get me out of here, no personality attitude. When I asked for a larger unit he informed me that there was no larger unit, but also told me that he had no way of finding out if another facility had a larger space. Ironically, when I found another location I was told that Uhaul does have a system that allows reps to check for space openings at other locations. So the rep lied to me. 4. I was late returning my truck the next day because I had to do my own research and find other people to unload me. I'm very disappointed in the final posseS of Uhaul. I'd like the overage for the late return to be refunded to me.

The person working at the UHAUL facility where I dropped my trailer and where I set up my storage unit was AMAZING. His name is Don. Don went ABOVE AND BEYOND the normal call of duty to be expected as an employee and really made things incredible for me after a long stressful day of moving and traveling. Give that man a RAISE. He's easily got to be one of your best employees.

Our move in experience was horrible, problematic, and exhausting on January 29, 2021, at approximately 6:15 PM when we discovered the main entry storage doors were locked. This was in conflict with the Storage Access hours of 5 AM to 10 PM as published on the U-Haul Standard Advantages for the facility. Items had to be moved through a single entry door instead of the various wide double doors at the loading dock. We were told upon move in that we should not be moving in at this time which was in conflict with the published time listed on “Your Storage Place of Landover” nor any other guidance or guidelines, verbal or non-verbal. Generally, it appears to be a lack of consistency of communication among all staff to customer for a smooth transition into the facility which was ultimately resolved through management or by others means.

My first unit had rodents and moisture, which damaged many of my belongings. I filed a claim, but was ignored. I was moved to a nicer unit, which has worked out well. So my poor experience was offset by my great experience. Hence the average rating.

For the most part, I am satisfied with the service provided although shorter wait times when calling and not having mice droppings on my belongings would have improved the experience. I should start off by acknowledging the one disappointment - the ubiquitous rat/mouse poop I would find scattered throughout my unit upon returning every 6~12 mos, That said, Meri Payne is a FANTASTIC facility manager. She has always been attentive and accommodating. It's hard to imagine a facility manager more generous and more capable. I always felt my belongings were safe and the facility was well-run AND I could depend upon her if I had an issue. Thank you, Meri!!

After hours I went in to store my items I was denied excess. There was a garage door that opened upon my approach in which I did not have access to. This facility is very unsafe and very inconvenient. I tried several times calling the after hour general manager over at Landover to have her assist me and the phone just went to voicemail. She never answered the phone so had I not figured out how to get in the unit I would have had to take my items back home and this was a two hour ordeal. This is only a two-story facility which means there is no elevator I had to walk around the outside of the building three times and up a flight of stairs to get to my unit . I was very unhappy last night

I was told that every storage mine included will have mouse traps and climate control to prevent property destruction... Unfortunately that was not the case! After several months of housing my property with Uhaul, It was time to move out when I opened my unit to find mice ,mice droppings and their urine all over my property. Spoke to a representative about it and he said uhaul can’t do anything about my property- Despite the guarantee of safe guarding my property from Rodents! That’s unacceptable!

I was undecisive on which storage I needed but with the help of two gentleman (Don & Eduardo) they made the process smooth by offering me a climatized storage unit. I am happy on my decision and until now never knew such a storage existed. If you are in the market for a storage unit I would highly recommend this location.

Service was excellent at the Landover Uhaul and Storage however there wasnt sufficient A/C @ the storage unit side. It was very hot and can be a health hazard.

Roaches, mice, water leaks, poorly maintained facility .
