I thought everything was great. The hand truck I rented worked out well

Shawn PTrying to scan the bar code when I was checking the trailer in was impossible and frustrating. I had to check it in another way.wasn’t sure where to leave hand jack so I had to leave it in the open trailer after store hours.
Thomas HThe truck I was given had damage to the front bumper and was parked with the front right against the rear of another truck. The truck would pull badly to the left and the wheel was crooked. Could barely keep the wheel straight even on a flat road.The truck definitely needs to have the tires rebalanced and an alignment. Whole truck would shake at 55mph The fuel gauge was not reading right when I was getting gas so I overfilled it losing me more money than I wanted to spend on renting the truck. The lock on the back door was supplied but not the right key for the lock. The wiper blades also didn’t work great in the rain so that made it very hard to drive in the rain at night.

I picked up the truck, and realized I needed something bigger when I got to the apartment (my brain was goo when I booked it and worse by the time of the move). I called and Jazmyn switched it out without issue and got me back to moving in a hot second. I have used this location twice before and will continue to.
Finley LI was told one thing by the clerk and charged another, when I disputed I was told someone would reach out, which they didn’t and I was charged the higher price anyway. Very dishonest.

OLIVIA CCustomer service was below average. The woman who checked me in didn’t acknowledge me until she was ready. Kept typing on the computer and made me wait several minutes. I was the only one in line. Her attitude looked as if she didn’t want to be there. The guy who helped me hitch the trailer was fine. The woman needs to understand the customer first mindset.
James JIt was not first time customer friendly. First, we couldn't find the truck because it wasn't in the correct space and customer service told me just to look through the entire parking lot. Then, there was no indication where the lockbox was. Then we couldn't even open the lock. It took us an hour just to get the truck.

Alan BWould have been 5 star. As the lady that waited on me in the morning was outstanding. She was by herself and waiting on multiple people at the same time. She stayed professional the entire time. I was pretty impressed. As for my return I am currently disputing the fuel charge. I drove 20 miles and am being charged for 6 gallons of gas. That 3.3 miles per gallon. Sort of ridiculous. I put 2 gallons back into truck before dropping off. I should have took a pic of gauge but was busy and forgot. I expect my $26 back. If not I guess I will take to social media to warn the masses. I know it’s only 26 bucks but it’s the principle of it all that really bothers me.

Adam OCar trailer, (not the dolly) I'm a car guy and I think if I ever came across one of these trailers for sale, I would buy it. The functionality of the trailer was great. My Cadillac CTS wagon sits very low to the ground and this trailer worked great.

William ALocations should ALWAYS check if side mirrors are functional to adjust to drivers. Also they should check that electric wiring on trailers are intact and working. On my last visit, my truck had problems and had to be reassigned a new one causing me delays and another customer had to be sent to another location to get a trailer that had proper electrics.
Tina MThe lady that checked me out was great. I've had her before and was thoroughly satisfied with her performance. The lady that checked me in, not so much. She was I'll and cranky. I didn't do anything to deserve that kind of treatment and I don't appreciate it.
David Bi rented a one way. The girl only gave me an mileage allowance from the rental place to my destination. She should of includes the rental place to my moving place and my destination to the return destination. also, she was speaking 100 mikes an hour and not very friendly

KEVIN CYes the uhaul was clean but we were traveling to texas and there wasnt anyway to charge our phones. The charging port would show charging but it wouldnt go up on charge and the plug to plug ny own into wasnt working..

Michael BHonestly i never go out my way to rate a bad score to anyone because I’ll give you the benefit of doubt . When i arrived which i will admit i was in a hurry so i did not read over my paperwork to see that when i called the store directly the general manager Jazmine Howard upped that i have rental coverage on the vehicle . I was late returning the rental vehicle due to the move in time changed and Jazmine sent me a message in all caps indicating yelling to call the store stating there’s a breach in contract because I’d prefer a phone call considering moving can be stressful but again my problem is not her concern is just hoped to have better customer service experience. I then called the office and after going back and forth about the charge discrepancy i said i will just pay the fee. Jazmyn’s was not friendly at all and not to mention there’s was a strong smell of marijuanna usage for sure because of the look in her eyes and the loud smell when approaching the desk. Again customer service goes a long way for me and when my card was charged additional fees and no explanation i have a huge issue. This location is not a busy location and the minimum that could be given is outstanding customer service vs a weak experience . I’d never come to this location again , I’d rather use the mileage before I’m treated as if I’m a bother.

I believe that my monthly rental rate had at least doubled from the time I first started leasing the smallest 5x5 storage unit(July 2021) at $35 per month,which in 2 years increased to $70 by November of 2023 . It is an insult to my intelligence that you would think I’d want to continue to rent that small of storage place at that price.Plus , I thought I was treated very rudely by your store office staff in just trying to exchange one of your moving boxes when it was found to be damaged after a purchase. You have earned nothing but bad “word of mouth” from me as far as storage rental services goes. I vacated my space away to a lower priced competitor just yesterday (1/11/24) and I am so relieved to be done with UHaul price extortion now.

Monitoring would make it feel more secure and would be more likely to keep the units longer. Was difficult to keep the overhead lights on near my units, lack of working motion detection in that area. The staff was very helpful.

TRAMAINE' D | Overall ExperienceI did not put the lock on the door of the unit until three days after being assigned that unit. I received two (2) phone calls saying that there was not lock on the unit; this was the week AFTER I had put the lock on it. One of these calls, the second one was BEFORE 7 am which I did not appreciate. I then decided that since I had not put anything in the unit and did not need it after all, that I would go get the lock which I was told was not on the unit anyway and turn everything in. By this time, the code I had not longer worked so staff had to come and let me in so I could get the lock which WAS on the unit after all. I then turned in the lock, keys and paperwork. After all this, I will probably look for other storage options in the future.

The storage unit that we were assigned at this location was already being used so we had to call and get another one reassigned to us to use, we waited about 30 min for someone to come and give us a new access card, a new unit, and a lock.

Had issues cancelling my storage because they would never get back to me, even when reaching out during business hours. Mistakes were also made while writing the contract. We were directed to the wrong storage, which luckily didn't cause major issues, considering nobody would have known it was our stuff. Horribly, horribly managed.

Front counter should make sure customers know the basics and not just assume everyone has done this before and often.

sherry r | First ImpressionsAccess to facility, where it was, how to use, was not clearly explained to me at all. I had never used a U-haul storage facility, not at Millbrook or any other. The young man, who was friendly enough, originally told me, the lock and such should be inside my unit, when I had not even been assigned a unit yet. After he took all my info again, which most I had given online, he said he had “checked me in” and gave me my paperwork and told me I could go in through “either door”. I had no idea where “either door was, where the facility was, and he was too busy to explain further. After finally finding my way, I go in and alarms sound when trying to access my unit. I go back to a very long line trying to “get to” this only person in the shop, which is about to close in an hour. I had already wasted an hour just trying to get to my storage unit!! So I just say to him, “alarm goes off every time I try to get into my unit”, and he explains that “I have to check in” before going in to either door, which he had told me earlier that he had checked me in. It was confusing. When I went back another customer had experienced the same confusion, having to go back and clarify. Uhaul clearly needs more help at this facility during their office hours to help their customers navigate, especially their first-time customers, and to help the long lines!!
