I had to call 6 times for them to fix my reservation. Even then I still got charged almost $100 for something we had already discussed wouldn’t be a problem. I’m never getting a u-haul again.

I went two days before my scheduled pickup to see if they were going to have the 26ft truck that I reserved two months ahead of time. They could not tell be anything other than U-haul would let me know the next day. The next day I was told I would need to drive 110 miles in a snow storm to get the truck I reserved. Terrible business! This is not on the location I picked up my truck from, but rather on the business model that U-haul CHOOSES to employ. They knew a week ahead of time that there would not be a truck available! They could hire someone to deliver a truck to a destination AHEAD of the reserved date! If I could have found another company that would have let me tow my own trailer, I would have canceled with U-haul

I couldn’t access my unit without the alarm going off and the manager and staff could not fix it. So all day of going back and forth it would just sound every time. When I did get into the locker initially there was no lock as detailed on email/text.

The staff was knowledgeable and helpful from getting access through frozen doors when we needed to move and in helping choose the right boxes and packing materials to make for a move that protected our items. It gave us peace of mind to know that our personal belongings that would be stored there for many months were secure and not exposed to cold temperatures.

More auto trailers in Minot I had to drive 4 hours round trip out of my waist gas money I didn’t to go pick a trailer when there were three trailers sitting at the place i picked up the truck which is a very major unconvinced which I should have got the trailer for less money because of the inconvicd please for the love of god fix that situation

Pick up location and customer service was great, trying to find a location to drop off was the difficult part- U-Haul near the military base would not accept it so had to find others - drop off time was 1:18 PM dropped off after 5 same day and charged an entire day - kinda irritated by that, asked several times and called several times but lessons learned - not always easy when military and working military hours - that’s the only thing - should be more accommodating or prorate the hours -

Nearly The entire experience was enjoyable. The manager that checked me 8n, and employee that checked me out were both excellent. If I can just provide one piece if feedback, the cargo van reeked of cigarette smoke from a previous renter. As someone who has won in rental vehicles, you may consider getting an ozone machine, which can remove (rather than cover up) odor in a few hours.

The truck I received had issues with the muffler and was incredibly loud. The cargo door didn’t close all the way unless you hit it with something. When I received the truck the back was full of snow and ice and the ramp had ice on it causing me to slip and fall multiple times when using it. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind but the truck needs maintenance.

Went to drop off only to discover someone had put their own lock on my storage unit. Went to rental office. Found out it had just been closed and the woman was getting in her van. She called her manager who wanted me to come back the next day. Had to call 1800gouhaul to get any help. Manager came out and rented me another unit.

The storage unit door doesn't stay open. When brought to the attention of a staff member they told me a temporary fix which worked but it never got permanently fixed. The staff member told me a lot of the doors are like that. If I were to be partially refunded for emptying my unit early, I would have.

Convenient location. Friendly staff. Nice vehicle (van), east to drive. U-Haul app easy to use for vehicle inspection prior to driving. Almost instantaneous receip on turn-in. Will definitely be renting from this site/location again.

The initial rental was changed on me without contacting me, and I lost half a day. I was supposed to pick up my truck at 7 am, but they switched it to 3 pm. Then they gave me a truck that had a known issue with the engine. When I talked to the CSR, she told me that she could switch it back (She had looked into a computer and seen that there were a couple of other trucks ) but would have to charge me an entire day even though I had just picked up my truck 40 minutes prior. When I explained to her that I felt that this was unfair and I was upset, she offered me a free lock and suggested that I call the 1-800 number. I then called the number and spent two hours on the phone with U-Haul being bounced from one person to the next. Eventually, I got a representative who could help me and called the store directly to talk to the CSR. I was given a replacement truck that ran a lot smoother though it had a little bit of a squeak with the brakes. Upon getting it home, I realized that the truck hadn't been swept or cleaned out at all from the previous move. Because I was already short on time, I did not sleep out of the truck before moving items in. Overall this experience was terrible. The worst part about it is with all of the changes. I could not get a service discount; I needed the truck at 7:00 a.m. Even with being flexible with picking it up at 3:00 p.m. after spending all the time on the phone, I didn't get the pick up my truck until close to 7:00 p.m. Because of this, my move was rushed, and upon returning the truck earlier, I was told that there was nothing to compensate for an early return even though it wouldn't have been as early, except for I had to rush everything due to U-Haul changing dates and having mismanaged equipment.

I really loved the friendly staff, they are always helpful and very personable. They always had answers and make you feel at home. I will miss seeing them often, they are like family. When I’m ready to move again and need storage I will definitely choose them! I highly recommend their facilities, and when friends ask, I send them there. I have great appreciation for the help of Brad Parks. He was always helpful and hard working and friendly. The gentleman who checked me out of the storage facility on 2 August 2022 was also an excellent employee, helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, most of the staff that I interacted with last year, 2021, were not at all friendly or efficient to the point of being rude. However, this last year I have seen a marked improvement in attitude and customer service. Again, I highly praise Brad Parks for his professional and courteous service.

The units were too small for the prices, when other storage facilities in close proximity to the u-haul I stored at were way bigger for a lot less $. Also, U-Haul does not do any kind of pro-rating. So if you have to pay for the new month, but can't move your stuff out until a day or two later, you're stuck with the whole month's rent cost, which is hefty. I do have to comment on the staff at the North Hill facility in Minot, ND. Every single employee I came in contact always tried to go above & beyond to get you what you needed/wanted within their company rules. They were all so helpful, kind & understanding. Of course their hands were tied at times due to company policy, but overall, they were the absolute best!!!!

My unit was alllll the way in the back corner, accessing it with large objects from the main door was a little challenging. There was an exit door by my unit, I would have loved it if it were authorized for use to move items in and out. I don't think it was, but also didn't want to chance it without permission.

Stored items back in 2016 for military PCS. returned shortly in 2017 for a friend’s wedding and unfortunately forgot to relock it. Staff put a new lock on and sent the new key back to my emergency address. Returned in 2021 to have shipping company relocate everything. After 5 years untouched, everything was in the same condition as I originally left it in.

The facility is nice but the prices are way too high. $90 for. 5x10?!?! Also I moved out of my unit the beginning of this month, submitted the move out form like I was suppose to and they accepted it and they are STILL trying to charge me for the full month. Called the store and corporate about it and was on hold for AN HOUR AND A HALF only to be told they have no record of me ever renting there and that my units rented out to someone else! So they are trying to get paid twice for the same unit. Not impressed at all! Rented that unit for 6 years with little issues until now and now I’m being sent a $120 bill for an account no one can find!

Most everything was fine -- except the rent was raised once in mid-term and would have been raised again if we had not cleared the locker and moved out. I considered this a "tacky" move which shouldn't have happened. The raised rent gave no appreciable benefit to the renter.

On Broadway in Minot North Dakota they are never physically in the store you can call they will never answer . This is a poor staffed facility.I would never consider uhaul as an option for moving nor will I recommend uhaul at that location to anyone.

Only reason I say no is because the prices are outrageous and I can't make it to the place before they close and I had issues with my card a few times it also closed early a few times and I drove a long ways to be sure I was there before they closed other than those little issues it was fine but I'll have to find a unit cheaper than uhaul next time

Box at door looks a little unsecure. Was told one time someone may have broke in while I was away and should look to make sure nothing way stolen. I was in utah at the time and asked if they could break the lock and they said there would be a $50 fee I'd have to pay.... Wtf this is a failure in your system not mine. Only compliant and nothing was stolen.

As a first-time U-Haul truck and storage renter, I was very relieved at how well the experience went. After bringing a truckload of belongings across the country, getting it unloaded into a storage unit and turning in the truck were very easy to do and the people were very helpful. Lyle, my main concern is that your attitude towards costumers is apathetic and condescending. You were rude to my fiance when she asked if there was a dumpster in the area. It didn't seem like had any interest in helping me. You seemed bitter that my trailer rental included a complimentary month of storage and when I asked for 10 x10 x10 you told me that the only unit available was a 5x10x10. My friend checked in less than an hour later and was given a bigger unit. Based off that experience I would not recommend using this facility to others.
