LAURA DThe only reason why I would give this a 2 out of 5 stars is because of the employee working there, I wish I had his name, but he was kind and understanding. But I went to my original destination, and the storage unit was a second floor unit where you needed a roll ladder to get up, how am I storing a couch up there? They moved me to a new location, the first unit was filthy and had food all in it, they moved me to a new locker which was clean and ready. There were cars parked in spots they were not allowed to be in which made it difficult to drive around the already tight space. when I picked up my equipment in Maine, the trailer was supposed to be out of service, my entire drive the wheel straps fell of my cars wheels... Luckily I did not lose my car.... But I could of and I had no idea until I stopped... Also I checked out of my storage unit 2 weeks after I booked it, I am being told I am being charged, but I dont owe anything as I got a free month. Overall poor experience, will not be doing it again. Would love a refund for something... but I dont even want to fight for it... Just overall poor experience.

ERIKA DThe representative who was working when I picked up the equipment was not necessarily rude, but was also not pleasant. They wanted me to have the equipment returned by 3, but I had made a 24hr reservation request. I got a little flustered and said I needed the rental longer than 3pm that same day and they told me "Well we close at 5 so ill put it until 4." Needless to say I did not finish by 4 so I wound up having to extend my reservation and pay for a second reservation just to have returned the equipment within the same 24 hour window that I originally requested.

Samataha WIt was 98762 miles when I received the truck, but I got charged for 98761. So I was was charged for one more mile at the end. Not a big problem, but it is what it is. Other than that it was really easy to use and rent, staff was really helpful, it was a great experience. Thank you

DELVIN OStorage space had a mouse outside the door and there was a pile of food in front of the storage space. I had to get a push broom to clean up the mess before I could begin moving my utensils into the storage space. There were staples in the ground which I’m hoping did not get into the tires of my car. Unclean!

JONATHAN A | First ImpressionsCustomer service at the desk could be a little bit more friendly. The truck had a broken sun-visor that kept falling off. There was a loud noise from the machine (apart from the regular engine noise) whenever the truck was accelerating. Returning the equipment was easy. Having a half tank of gas is odd because it's difficult to judge half tank when filling in gas. It should be full tank at pickup and full tank at return policy - just like any other rental cars.

LUIS NEducate staff how to talk customer, I stopped at the point where instructions says. According to rules on the sign, somebody should come and check the truck I had waited 15 min no one showed up! Then I entered to office young yuy said just leave the key without question or explanation. After that, I was charged extra $58 fuel cost and service cost for no reason. Luckily, I have the picture before and after so I called the customer service proof that I got gas for the truck then I was refunded! My question: why did I have to handle all those phone calls and emails staff?

Nora W | Overall ExperienceBad customer service. The manager is very rude and unfriendly. Gave me a storage unit with bad lock and I couldn't get in to my unit for whole month. Try to charge me for a unit I never had. When I called the uhaul main office they send the message to her and she will call and yell at me that why I complained to the uhaul. She is still trying to charge my card and when I called she said just ignore it. I called the uhaul again and talked to the manager name Nicole but she was unable to help me either leaving me no choice but to use the legal help to solve the problem.

When trying to resolve a storage that I never wanted nor moved in, she claimed she could not assist me and had a store full of customers so I would have to wait for a call me. She continued to charge me without refund then tried to charge me again for the upcoming month. If it weren’t for the U-Haul customer service for resolving this she would have continued to charge me. Also when saying I was going to report her for her attitude and unprofessionalism she claimed she did not care. Do not receive any services from this location.

Maria MThe manage of the facility is very rude disrespectful and has a disgusting attitude. I would even say she comes out very nasty when speaking to customers to the point it sounds racist. She is very confrontational and refuses to tlk in a respectful tone. Do not use this location as she runs her facility like a scam. My storage unit was cleared out 5 days before my cycle was done and yet I was still charged the new month without having the unit. Yes I did get my reimbursement but I did everything possible to get the issue resolved without having to tlk the this manager again because like I said I did not want to deal with any disrespect so I did all possible to avoid talking to her and contacted U-Haul’s customer service for help with this issue. U-Haul over all is great but this particular location in north Brunswick is a nightmare I never want to deal with again. Let’s not mention I’ve worked in moving for over 12 years and I use U-Haul trucks over 10 times already and never felt with someone so nasty as this manager from north Brunswick

Jacklin P | Online Move InWe were shorted 11 blankets. We ordered two orders of 12. We had two bags in the truck, so I thought we got both orders. There were 6 in one and 5 in the other. We also had a truck with no driving lights. --No back lights at all except for brake lights and blinkers. They worked when started and in "park" but once put into drive and foot is taken off the brake, the lights did not work. I called roadside assistance when we arrived a motel, and it wasn't fixed. Uhaul said they would start an action file with me, and I should only have to talk to the place we picked it up to get compensation. I emailed UHaul about everything and North Brunswick Manager called me and said she called the UHaul manager at the drop off, and he said nothing was wrong with the truck. The guy who checked it in admitted to me on the phone that he didn't see it in drive. He said he didn't know if it was still there and said he'd check. On the next call he said it was dispatched and he'd have to talk to the next place. Then all involved were in cahoots with each other to tell me lies. Like it left UHaul where I dropped it off, but they asked the next UHaul and it's working great. I have all of the texts, all phone calls recorded with Uhaul, including North Brunswick, Alton, and Roadside Assistance calls, and I have emails to prove this is how it went down. I also have a video of my son driving the truck with headlights on and no driving lights in back, which I emailed to Joe at the drop off location. Not sure why I'm told to only show Joe, when Roadside assistance told me to ask for compensation from the pick up location. Manager at drop-off told me we didn't have the lights on all of the way. Not true at all. He's making up stuff. We had them on, headlights, tail lights, and blinkers worked. My son drove a truck with no driving lights in the back in the dark, in heavy fog, and in rain. We were on the road for 14 hours. I just want compensation for these issues. I was very polite, but I was treated very poorly. Still figuring out my next steps.I've already spent hours on the is problem including while on the road and very tired. I've just moved. It isn't fun that UHaul just added to the stress. I've already used the contact form and received no help.

KEITH SI don't know if location was clean. This was very crowded location with very little space available to park the returned equipment. However, the U-Haul guy present here was very helpful and returning the car wasn't that bad. I parked the car at the main gate, and he moved after returning process was finished.
CONSTANTI NThe girl who helped at the front desk was awesome. She was very polite. I wish I would have gotten her name. All I remember was that she was pregnant

They need to realize that the guest who comes to Uhaul are exhausted and fatigued with moving which is a huge step in their lives, just a smile and a good gesture can make them feel good. One of the guys who takes care of the units and maintenance is a gem. He needs to be given a raise and you need to keep him. Very positive, professional, and friendly.

They told me that I would need a 15-foot truck, and the truth is that it was too small a truck. The same thing with the garage, they assigned me a very small one, which made the move difficult for me since I couldn't store all my things. And finally, they told me that there would be a padlock inside the garage unit, and when I arrived there was nothing. I went to the office and they were selling me the padlock and they had told me that it was free, so my experience was not a good one.

I paid for a climate control storage and the price went up every year to a final price of $159.00. Almost every time I went to my storage, the air conditioner was off and it was very hot in there. I brought to the office staff on multiple occasions as well as, leaving message for the manager but, I never received a phone call. Often times the doors to my climate control building (H) would be open and someone with an outside storage would have an orange extension cord plugged up using the electricity out of the climate control building. I would not received phone calls back and nothing would be done to fix the problem of the air conditioner. My experience was not good with this storage facility!

ROMELLE A | Overall ExperienceMy belongings were here for several years and I had no opportunity to check on them. When I returned, everything was as I left it. These were indoor climate-controlled spaces, and I found no sign of any intrusion of water or pests, and the temperature seemed fine when I left and when I arrived again. So I'm pleased with the level of security that I experienced with the indoor spaces. It would really help to have more lighting and power. I previously organized and emptied materials that someone placed in one of your large outdoor spaces in winter with no light, heat or power, and that was just awful; I wouldn't even consider using those facilities again. Similarly, I really needed better lighting in my indoor spaces, and the option to plug in lights would certainly have helped. The possibility to dispose of trash would also have been a great help, and I would have been open to paying a reasonable fee for that.

The only issues we had which were two of the main reasons for leaving were the issues with mice destroying things in our unit, we didn't store anything that would have attracted them, and the constant increase in our rate. It went up significantly during our time there and it just became too expensive. Otherwise, the place and staff were perfect.

The only options were see store hours and directions which took me to a recording, and all other inquiries, which took me to the entire UHAUL company’s customer service. No way to get through to a person. So nobody I could talk to when our storage price increased DURING COVID might I add. I definitely wouldn’t store with uhaul again just for the lack of availability to talk to a person at the location.

Jacklin P | Overall ExperienceThe manager of this facility is incredibly helpful and prompt to respond to inquiries, so she is absolutely an asset. When we moved in and complained about the facility's dirty carpet that made the building smell terribly, she worked to have it removed, and we were very thankful for her effort. This change did help with the smell. The facility was, however, still not as clean as other Uhaul storage facilities that we've utilized in the past. During our move-out, we found a dead mouse and mouse feces in our unit. When we told the Uhaul representative at check-out, he made no response, so I suspect that the dead mouse wasn't exceptional for the facility. I would not go back to this facility for this reason.

morgan W | Overall ExperienceThe person at the counter was incredibly pleasant and helpful, but I reserved a drive-up 5x5 unit online more than a month before move-in, and when I arrived I was not given a 5x5 drive-up, but a 5x10 down a long hallway, where I had to carry heavy boxes. I'm disappointed that I'll have to pay more. What's the point of making a reservation online if it doesn't reserve anything?

Olivia P | Overall ExperienceI stored my items here fpr 5 years while my daughter and i were in shelter due to her medical issues. She has a heart and lung condition and many times i almost lost our stuff due to not being able to pay. Sherri would never work it out with me or let me pay in increments. She didn't even try to help, yet every 2 months I got a letter saying my rent was increasing FOR NO REASON. I wouldn't recommend this place if it were the last place on earth. Greedy people who don't care about you! Plus EVERY single bag and box had been run through by mice. I had to throw out 75% of mine and my daughters belongings. All of her baby stuff was chewed through and shat on by mice. Never store your stuff here.
