I called 10 minutes before u-haul closed to get in another unit. Fairbanks wouldn’t answer. Central could not fix the problem. I expect a full refund on u-haul truck. My daughter is now on a plane and has to pay another month’s rent!!! MAJOR INCONVENIENCE AND EXPENSE FOR US!!!

When I arrived to sign in there was no one in the office and we had to drive to another location to get access. I was assigned units that were locked and I had to walk through the lot to find open units because there was no one at the office. The units were not cleaned and I had to sweep them out before I moved my stuff in. The phone to the office is never checked and even after clearing the unit I was emailed saying I owed money and would be charged a late fee. My overall experience with this unit and be able to reach the staff was unpleasant.

Had a bunch of issues accessing location I reserved and had to drive back and forth between the location and Fairbanks 3 times because there is no personnel in North Pole. Bunch of wasted time and gas. Ended up having to spend the night in FBX because office closed. BUT staff was polite and tried to help as much as they could and came through to get me a unit in Fairbanks of similar size the next day so I could get my stuff stored. I would recommend the location on Airport way, not so much the location in North Pole.

I am low income when I fot my storage it was 64.95 . In the last 6 months it's gone up 2× now is 84.95 .

I WAS PHYSICALLY THREATENED BY THE MANAGER AT THE MAIN OFFICE & THE FRANCHISEE OWNER DOUBLE CHARGED ME. THEY WOULDNT LISTEN TO ME THAT THE STORAGE UNIT THEY GAVE ME DONT EXIST SO I HAD MY TRUCK AND STORAGE FOR 2 DAYS AND COULDNT USE EITHER. I WANT MANAGEMENT TO CALL ME ASAP

Having a different location being our main communication was OK. They did a great job, but it wasn’t convenient. Raising the prices after their was a fire next to our unit really made it not worth it. It did not make us feel valued or secure as customers.

The only problem is don’t call to close out your unit. I have been trying to close out my unit for the last two weeks all because I feel I called at the close of the day and the person was probably busy and forgot to close me out. I have received bills for be late and phone calls that I have failed to pay just yesterday with late fees. Close out in person and get a receipt. It was partially my fault but that this was one of the conveniences of renting from this company, overall the staff are great and the facilities are clean. Prices are very reasonable.

The code provided to me did not work. It was -40 and I stood outside for about 10 minutes trying to get into the gate on a Saturday afternoon. I called to get it fixed and was told I would be called back. Nobody called me back. The next day I had rented a van at the airport store and told them the code didn't work. The very helpful employee told me that they would have to reset the code and he gave me a temporary code to try. They also informed me this happens a lot because the equipment is old and needs to be replaced. I went back to the North Pole branch and tried the other codes which still didn't work. It's been 2 days and I still can't move into my storage unit which I was assured I could move into immediately. I'm canceling my storage rental because it's obvious this facility is not accessible.

Items in my unit got water damage and mold because the unit flooded, always had to call someone to fix the door because the floor would shift and make it impossible to get into the unit, had a hard time getting a hold of anyone for help with issues on multiple occasions, billing issues.

Need to work on the gate. I've been locked in several times and locked out once. Also having an accurate phone number to call when this happens posted. The call button calls an older lady who can't hear you.

My unit...*by the stained *wall-water marks marks has roof leaks & the *mold-contact marks along the walls truly are very concerning-troubling & seemingly could also be problematic too for long term storage 😳 as well.. the 12"+ access at the backside of my unit to the adjoining back end 😳of the adjacent unit...though I hope *I do not have *nor do I anticipate any issues*but not secure as such! I have taken clear-pictures of items within-nothing is worth dying over! While moving in... a Uhaul client angrily drove up to his locker & explained his frustration over having... not 1, not 2, but 3 different *locks being placed on his *paid for unit, *without his permission simply because he had knowingly left it *unlocked with the intent of coming directly-right back ! Ouch! I had the same thing happen to me when a *lock was inadvertently placed on my locker-with losing an entire 🙃 week as it were *on another locker, *paid in full yet, a *brunt of someone's *inability-errors as such... are never timely, that was last year too! The on-line system appears to totally undermine the Uhaul Storage as a whole establishment... having furnished my credit-card 3 or 4 times*yet to no avail, in the end I was forced to sign up & pay in person, at the Airport location to secure a rental... despite numerous lockers sitting empty for weeks! ShannonA- was*flawless at Airport Rd. location, while securing a storage rental! Doug & Doug, up from Anchorage to make a *difference in taking on *endless projects... like the aw-ful filthy backed up commode... at this location in NP for well ***over a *month! Merci Doug Sr! *24 hrs. thereafter though the commode seemingly broken & will-not, flush again? Doug Senior was amazing in *snaking out a neglected *1 month+ mess 😳 on 27May2-worth his weight in gold*should have got danger-pay $stimulus$monies! Merci:-)

The only issue we had was that we had been told by 1-800-Uhaul that we could have one months free storage at the departure point with a one way move, which we were making, but when we needed to utilize it we were informed that the policy was that the free storage was only at the destination which we don’t need because we have a furnished house that we’re moving into as soon as we arrive. To pay $84 a month for a storage unit that we only used for 2 weeks seems excessive. We feel we were misinformed.

Not certain whether Roy Johnson is Fbks. *UHAUL General Manager- #6 or #7-since our Company & Family has begun *our several decades long relationship with Uhaul... purchasing merchandise to renting trailers & or vehicles, in addition to storage areas- thoughout the years... Without question...A+++ *Roy Johnson has been *2nd to none* in his professionalism & courtesy-coupled with his confident flawless leadership he has kept *Uhaul Fbks. -North Pole-ahead of any -would be, local competitors! He is a *most valuable team player, whom I would be proud to have as an employee, *any day of the week! We're fortunate to have Roy's calibre of abilities, coupled with integrity & workmanship-ethics, merci:-) so very much 😊 for making a viable difference for our community you service!

First of all they rented me a unit c12 in north pole. I get there with a truck theres no C12 theres no C building. Then I get sent to steese and the two they give me are already rented. WE HAD TO FIND ONE OURSELVES. The lady Louise offers a free moth. Ok cool . Then I start getting notices that I'm late. I called them they said i never paid to begin with. I clearly have a receipt for c12 that is not even a building. So they apply the free month after a whole lot of hoopla. Then we go to the unit ....yes...they have locked it... so the manager goes on his day off to unlock it..thank you..I guess. I call 12 times on Monday to make a payment because my u haul account says I still owe late fees on a free month... so yes it takes the money from me and late fees on a FREE month and still says I owe again.... i have texted the manager and called and called.... this is by far one of the absolute worst experiences in my life.... i have called already twice today no answer... so do I recommend this company ?? No absolutely not. I am not purchasing a home.. its a month to month storage SHED.. this is one of the most aggravating experiences ever ..

The manager, Roy, was extremely helpful in assisting me as a walk in customer. I needed same day- long term storage and got it thanks to his help. Amazing work, and on a holiday when most places were closed!

I purchased a large storage locker and when I arrived to the unit there was a lock on it, after 30 minutes of waiting the supervisor showed up to cut the locks only to find there was stuff in the unit. They found me a smaller unit and offered no discount for the hassle that they caused to my moving day. The smaller unit didn’t fit my belongings and I waited 20 days for a call back about a larger unit opening up. I never heard anything back from uhaul. Overall terrible experience. When I went to move out the entire security system was malfunctioning, so all the units were unsecured in this “secured facility”.

The gate had issues and the location that managed this one was always understaffed. The employees stated ever since the manager passed his initial inspections he has been lazy and unreachable.
