We booked online/called the central scheduling number and they actually scheduled us for the U-Haul location off of Hollywood Ave in Shreveport, LA. It turns out that location doesn't actually install hitches, and had to divert us to the Hearne St location, who was thankfully able to install our hitch today. Something is wrong with the U-Haul scheduling system, because we should not have been able to schedule at the original location. Everything was great with our install.

The only problem I had was with the website scheduling process. I scheduled an appointment at the Hollywood location because it was close to my work. When I arrived, I was told they no longer do hitch installations. I don’t know why to website would allow me to make the reservation and then confirm it if this service was not available. Thankfully, the Hearne location agreed to take care of me. They were very accommodating and started on it right away.

Lighting is not as good and the storage has some type of residue on the top of the shed. There is no refund so I just pray there is no damage to my things. The storage has some boarded frames to try to cover the big holes but are not repaired well. Definitely won’t be returning for service. Make sure you check the storage before spending your money.

The only thing I would change is I had to upload a DL 3 times, plus still show it at checkout. The guy that took care of us at the Shreveport location clearly did not want to be at work. Never took his hands out of his pockets . . . customer service was a bit lacking. Aside from that, I guess it was what was expected.

The furst trailer they tried to send me out with had a hole in the tire and they admitted to knowing it. Then they failed to tell me how to return a trailer prior to opening and billed me for an extra day. When i went to the location i was told oh no we only billed you once. Once to hold it then once for use and the first charge will drop off.Then called me today wanting to know when i was going to bring back a trailer i returned less than 24 hours after renting it. So now i have to make a 3rd trip to the location over a billing issue.

The location where I picked up my trailer for the trip was not the issue. I planned my trip and scheduled a pick-up location in Vivian, Louisiana. I visited the location for my pickup two days before the pickup date and was basically told that they would be closed through Monday. No help was offered, just that I would be contacted by the scheduling office on 23 November. I was never contacted on 23 November by anyone. I called the number given to me and no one answered. On the date of pickup (24 Nov) I was told that I could pick up my trailer at the location in Shreveport, approximately 30 miles from where I was. Due to my schedule having to be altered, I could not pick up the trailer at the time originally scheduled so I had to change my entire trip plan. Why let your customers pick the location if you will not honor it? The trailer was also filthy when I opened it. The young man cleaned it out and did a good job. The next thing that I realized was the I was not given the trailer that I had reserved, but a different one based on the printed contract. I received an email asking me to make sure that it was the right one. My question to that is why? I was not about to detour another hour out of my way to go change trailers due to a mistake not made by me. The only reason I rated this a 2 was because of the young man at the Shreveport location. His co-worker that was in the "store" never even acknowledged that I entered the store and never spoke a word at all to me. She basically waited until he came in from helping another customer and let him take care of everything. Very poor customer service with the exception of the young man in Shreveport (Tyler).

The installer that assisted me with my jeep gladiator today was spot on! He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. I would highly recommend Uhaul and this employee! Great Job!

No signs posted at either entry/exit. Naturally I drove in the wrong direction as the arrows painted on the cement weren’t visible from the main road. Then the ass clown employee says you need to move it. Then he disappeared. I waited about 20 minutes for another employee to check out the truck.

Set up rental at Barksdale location. He set it up for the north gate location per my request. I get there and he set it up for north Hearn location. This was WAY out of my way it added extra miles to my trip. The truck had a bad front end alignment and also smelled like marijuana. North Hearn location is not responsible for the scheduling misshap.

The installer was awesome. I made my appt for wiring installation only, but ended up needing a hitch installed as well, which is a lot for time. He went ahead and installed for me, even though he wasn't sure he had time. Thank you so much!

Very frustrating experience. I made my reservation online for a trailer a week in advance. I received several emails confirming my reservation and a text message that stated I would receive a phone call the day before pick-up to officially confirm location and extact details. The call never came, I received a very confusing, vague text that listed a u-haul address but not additional message if this was a pick-up/drop-off (this message had no spaces between any of its words which made me feel sketched out as it potentially being spam even if it was an automated text). I called the store and was told my trailer would be at my requested location and recieved another confirmation email with the same pick-up and drop-off (even though the text message had a different address--again, only an address, no message with it verifying what this address meant). I showed up the next morning to be told, my trailer was at a completely different pick-up location. This is after I waited around for 20-25mins and there was no attendant inside the building, I and about 4 other customers waited in the lobby while several u-haul workers outside starred at us through the windows... So after waiting, being told my trailer was not at the confirmed pick-up location, the attendant told me the "text message" was my pick-up location, regardless of the email I received and what the person on the phone told me--even though all of those things happened after the text message was received. The U-Haul on barksdale attendant was aloof, confused, and very unhelpful in trying to resolve the matter. He told me to go ahead and start the online check-in on my way to pick my reserved trailer at the other location. The online check-in stated my trailer was at a 3rd location and not where I was directed to go via the Barksdale location. Very frustrating and poor communication in all aspects!!! Lead to lots of wasted time traveling from various locations to find where the trailer I had reserved acutally was!

I just hate they don’t let you put something on your amount once its over due , is single mothers has other more important bills so if we try to put something on our balance, I figure like it should be appreciated, but we you all it’s all the amount or nothing at all . But overall everything else is great .

Great! Small qualm - while I managed, the website has the 5x9 (i think) pictured with a motorcycle notch in the front of the trailer. Bit tricky for one person without that notch - which the one I was given did not have. Minor, but worth a mention.

Please service those trucks I was so scared as if the brakes was going out and the transmission was slipping. I rented the 20” truck and it was so raggedy I feared for my safety. Customer service was wonderful

We reserved and rented a 19.95 per day pickup truck. After we paid $99. ( mileage and insurance). We picked the truck up at 10:15. As we were going to get in the truck we were informed we had to have it back by 2:30 pm because they overbooked. We had 4 hours to move a 2 bedroom house yet we had paid for a full day. Our paperwork told us to have the truck back by 6:30. We moved what we could and returned the truck around 2:50. We were charged $45. for being late. So, we paid $144. Dollars for 41/2 hours. Not to mention the young man working was rude!! The lady who waited on us was great and I could tell she was surprised by his rudeness as well. My family and I have always used U-Haul many times. However, we will never use them again. We had to borrow a trailer to complete our move. I’m so disappointed in this company!!!!

This facility is subpar at best. The climate control is off sometimes, and who knows for how long/? The hall lighting is sometimes off and the units don't have interior lighting. Complaints aren't taken seriously and the GM seems unconcerned and unwilling to improve the situation. I would never recommend this location for storage! Their rental truck service, however, is much more efficient. The counter help is polite and courteous.

The facility is in below average condition. The A/C in the climate controlled area has been broken/insufficient for MONTHS with no estimated date of repair. There is NO LIGHT in the units and there were rat traps and holes in the walls. I had to leave my things in the unit until I could schedule another time that I could get labor to help me move AGAIN. The person on the counter was very helpful and apologetic but the GM was a complete JERK. He couldn't care less whether my belongings were safe, that the A/C wasn't working sufficiently, or that the unit had a huge hole in the wall into the next unit. Whomever the franchise owner is should lose the privilege of representing Uhaul. This owner is negligent and doesn't represent the quality or service on which Uhaul has built their reputation..0

I reserved two climate controlled units and was unable to complete my move in because the second unit was not located in a climate controlled building. The facility is in below average condition and I had to leave the truck locked with my belongings and have to return to the facility this morning to try to get an appropriate remedy. I am having to pay labor again, alter my travel plans, and possibly pay another day for the truck since I was unable to empty its contents and turn in the key. I am very disappointed and exhausted. The uhaul answering service after hours was very sympathetic when I called and did direct me on what to do accordingly. Hopefully this will be resolved easily this morning.
