J-WAYNE RI would like a full refund. The day was snowy and that is Canada for you. However the tires on the vehicle actually put my life in danger. As I was driving and trying to make it up a hill… the tires made it impossible. I was stuck on a little hill. We had to stop traffic on a busy road for me to be able to do an U-turn. I couldn’t stop for gas, couldn’t make the move of furniture I had intended and all I could do was return the truck. This was unacceptable. You need winter tired. This was the worst driving experience EVER. I would like a full refund as I had to get other arrangements made. I was in tears by the time I dropped off the vehicle. I really would like a response to this before I bring this higher up

RONNIE SNext time, please don't leave the "LOWEST PRICE" paper signs in the windshield of trucks that are ready for customer pickup. It was confusing (for both us and the staff) to figure out which truck was ours, and then we had to remove and make space for a giant cardboard sign. Otherwise, wonderful experience! Thanks

RAFIQ KI rented a tow dolly, I connected the lights, I checked and checked the trailer fuse, but before I left the Uhaul depot, I noticed the towing tire on the left side, the wires were visible, how worn it was. I had to leave Ottawa to store a car in Toronto. In the end, I left, I picked up the car and picked it up, I set off on the road to Toronto, the Trans Canada 7 highway, then after about a hundred kilometers, that tire exploded while driving. I had the opportunity to control the car, I parked as close to the ditch as possible, it happened around 2:00 pm, and then I called the ambulance and there was a 3-hour delay. The ambulance arrived. Of course, I helped change the towing tire because he was just a boy and I had to help him so I could leave faster. I was already impatient and in a hurry to get home faster. I have a question who pays me for this incident which was to roll over during the explosion, the time lost and the risk that I was standing close to the road possibly a truck or another car could hit me I really want to be compensated for this incident because it was not my fault and it is the fault of those who check the safety of the vehicles and the storage transport I also have proof pictures that I can prove before I left Uhaul while a boy there secures my trailer and pictures of the exploded tire please comment which Parsi are to follow and who is responsible for this
NICUSOR PI found that no one was willing to help and there was a lot of confusion and miscommunications. I had called to see if I could an earlier rental, I was told yes so when I showed up… imagine my surprise when they said I had to come back in 2 hours. There was no record of me calling, I had to pull out my phone history to prove it. The person at the front desk was very rude and unhelpful and caused a stressful environment. (Which when you’re in the middle of a move…. It’s stressful enough you don’t need that). And then the next day I got a call at 8 am saying I was late to return my U-Haul when the person yesterday said I could return it at 10 am(???) . Very confusing, unnecessary stress. Would rather go to a further location than be subjected to that again

DAVID RI've been at this location many times and it's always been a good seamless experience. The staff are kind and courteous and there is always lots of rental equipment (trucks) available. The only downside is that there is no customer parking on site. I would certainly recommend this location to family and friends.

JEREMIAH CI’ve rented before many times and was never asked to provide a contact person, so it was very strange when it was requested out of the blue for my recent rental. The vehicle transport trailer I rented was damaged (light housing cracked, pieces dented, missing one of the rubber straps for the drop-down fender) and so I wasn’t too happy using it in that state. The crew didn’t seem super concerned about the issues either which was a little frustrating. Obviously uhaul is the main game in town but when stuff like this happens I do start to want to search elsewhere to see if I can’t get a better deal on the same equipment if it’s in better condition
MICHAEL MThe customer service rep at pickup entered the wrong amount regarding an estimate for kilometers being driven. As a result, I have to pay for someone else's mistake. I returned the vehicle with more gas than required by the contract. A small discount ($ 30.00) should have been offered. The customer service rep at drop off was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I contacted the manger to address my concerns . However, the manager doesn't seem interested. As such, I have very little desire or motivation to do business with this company in the future.
IAN EMotorcycle trailer was well maintained but there were clumps of mud in the bed that I had to sweep out before use. In addition, I find your new policy of calling the emergency contact at the time of pick up to be odd and mildly invasive.

CHARLES LDon’t scam people. Dont put false charges on their card. Don’t make them come to the store location and prove their truth even though you have pictures proving that they are telling the truth. Dont smile when they tell you that they have proof that you’re wrong. Don’t argue with customers after they tell you that your truck is in poor condition.

THOMPSON AWhy do I have to line up at the counter for half an hour when I already entered all my info in the app? And why do I have to provide and confirm an emergency contact? I rent trailers half a dozen times a year and dread the Uhaul bureaucracy each time.

SAMER AIt was truly a confusing process, I didn't know the link they sent for the photos of the vehicle was timed out after 30 minutes so by the time I was ready to complete, I got locked out! I never received an email to indicate the vehicle was in good standing after we returned it. The return section of the truck after 3:30pm was a total mess, so many vehicles lined up and so many confused drivers. We just trusted the process and hope for the best! I hope I don't see any extra charges in a few days, now I wait!

HARI RLocation is great. This is the 3rd truck I've rented and while ok, it didn't drive nearly as nice or as quiet as previous vehicles. The fuel tank was not full and when I asked how many litres the tank help the attendant said he didn't no and made no effort to ask about it. I would have rather had a full tank of gas and even better if they knew the tank capacity.

She was talking to me and made me feel like she getting me the van from her own pocket ! This should be reconciderated because u guyz are not alone in the market ! Thank you
YASSIR RNo personnel was there. I used the uHaul app's 24/7 dropoff service. It took me a while to sort it out, but the video was useful and the app was very user friendly. I would have preferred to know more of what was involved before I dropped it off. Funny/Not funny story about the guy who drove in before me. I asked him if he knew anything about the online drop off service. He said he was just going to drop off the keys and let his son sort out the online return (His son was not with him). I scanned the QR code and told he should probably do the same, but he didn't want to download the UHaul app/set up the profile etc. (Nor did I want to go through an install either, I just wanted to return the truck). Well he went over to the key drop off and dropped the wrong set of keys. (His newly leased house keys, car keys, restaurant keys for his business, etc.) I was able to complete the checkout. I don't know how he made out in the end. It was Sunday night and Monday was Canadian Thanksgiving, so hopefully... something was worked out for him. I made sure to drop off the truck rental key.

SANDER IThe only downside of our experience renting from you multiple times is that we’re not allowed to leave our car there. Doesn’t that contradict the idea of providing a pleasant rental experience? How does that make sense? Where are we supposed to leave our car? You have a huge lot, so it’s clearly not a space issue. In this day and age, people value convenience — and this policy really falls short in that regard.

The girl who helped me told me that they did not have one available for me and I had to buy one in the store for my move which was very expensive. The truck they provided me did not have good alignment and the brakes were terrible. My experience was horrible.

Ouattara ATruck had 4 problems and so terrible and shouldn’t be rented to anyone . 1) back door doesn’t slide down .door is rusted . I had to buy a garage door lubricator to try and resolve the issue . It got better but I had a muscle tear after that . 2) knob that turns warm and hot is locked doesn’t work we died from the heat 3- to midnight Once u hit the flasher lights then don’t turn back . Fee free to reach out . I demand a full reifund 613 864.5435

WILL DThe staff were all great, but the fact that they don’t let you park your car there after you rent the truck is absurd. Their parking lot is huge. The other locations in the city that I have used accommodate this. I would never have booked from this location if I knew this in advance. It was a huge inconvenience having to find elsewhere to leave my car while using the rental truck.

Staff are unfriendly- it's like they don't want to be there. The one lane access is ridiculous. There was a black SUV blocking the entrance way when I arrived so my moving truck couldn't easily access. Apparently the black SUV belonged to the "boss" that's what the guys working outside told me. Billing reminder calls are an insult and the person calling sounds bored and angry. I moved to Dymon Storage as their service and facility is worth the extra $20/month. I will recommend all my friends and colleagues to Dymon Storage rather than U-Haul. I think you should stick to renting trucks. unless one day you get serious about storage. It looks like just a cash grab for U-Haul

The one cart (there is only one, nobody else was there) was of poor quality. The hours are inconvenient. The entire operation is of a very low quality, considering the prices, would never use again.

Told me that the reservation that I had made was not valid and that it was for another location (which was untrue - once he finally checked his system, it was clear that it WAS the correct location and what I had reserved was available). He then proceeded to tell me that the lock I had purchased (a high security level) was not good and that I needed to purchase his lock. Horrible customer service.

I had settled on a final payment for my unit due to negligence to maintenance of their property my property had been damaged! I lost 3 tvs a bunch of artwork clothes covered in mold and all my tools rusted. I should've just let the unit go and allowed it to be their problem but despite my better judgement I agreed to settle on a price and move my belongings out of my unit and terminate my occupancy. Upon going to pay for my settlement price the "general manager" or at least that's what his shirt said was completely ignorant and basically tried to bully me into paying an outrageous price instead of the discussed settled price by trying to strong arm me, he aggressively approached me stating "you're here to pay your full amount and get out" I replied no I'm here to pay my settled amount and nothing more. I had spoken with. A woman by the name of Melanie and she was such a great help and a breath of fresh air during this disgusting encounter. She had discussed a settlement price with me which I went to go pay in full and start moving out my items. They gave me until the 4th of August to remove my items or they will be declared garbage. I assured her I will be out by that day. I arrived today July 30th to remove whatever items I can fit in my car until I have access to a truck this weekend, later today (July 30th) after doing my loads for the day the "general manager" calls and says "uhh yes why is your lock still on our locker you're supposed to move out today" I replied no I have until the 4th to remove my belongings and unlock the unit. does UHaul not train their management staff members on properly talking to the general public as well as basic knowledge on their job? There is no excuse for me to be greeted in such an aggressive manner, there is no excuse for harassing me and contacting me at my private number when they clearly have the information on their system stating I have the unit until the 4th!! Just curious how he got his job position because he is absolutely useless at his job. Offers zero positive marks for customer service experience during my visit, belittled a worker in front of me because they were going to allow me to make sure my belongings were still in there, attempted to strong arm/bully me into paying an outrageous price, had zero knowledge on the situations going on in his location, and now harassing his clients over problems he could quickly find the answer to in my file with u haul! Terrible experience. I will NEVER use uhaul again. They ruined most of my belongings that I cared enough about to pay for storage on and then bullied me when I asked for a solution. Anyone who asks me will be getting referred to another storage facility because this experience was/is just unacceptable. I can't believe I paid you guys 315$ today just to retrieve belongings that were completely ruined by flood damage due to your negligence of maintenance to your facility and the lack of information I was given when I rented the unit! IF THE UNIT FLOODS LET THE RENTER KNOW AT THE TIME OF SIGNING!! NOT 4 MONTHS DOWN THE ROAD AFTER YOU HAVE ALREADY DESTROYED THEIR BELONGINGS. I WILL BE SENDING THIS EXACT MESSAGE TO HEAD OFFICE.

The story goes, the day I returned my truck, After i moved out of my home, when I left my husband, he called th3 uhaul asked if hus wife was there with my rental gave my name , the woman on the phone from uhaul tells him yes I'm there, in so doing this she violates uhauls privacy policy with giving out a customers information out to a third party . I never gave permission to have my wearabouts or information given to anyone. I have called corporate several times left many messages and have not been given a call back. Very disappointed 😞 and outraged that I have not even been compensated for the damage that was caused because of this. My husband showed up assaulted a friend and the police had to be called. This was a breach of privacy.

They sent me an update by email on the 15th of the month that I rented and I sent them a update on the 31st stating that I had vacated as I promised. I also told the worker who was outside I had vacated. There was no procedure given and as we buy or own locks there is no reason to return to the facility especially since we were communicating by email and they're completely understaffed and poor customer service inside this facility. They state they ignore the emails and again no notification that they ignore the emails and donnot reply. I also called in to the facility as well. This is illegal and predatory as I am a handicap and this facility should be fined and people arrested especially if they are doing this to other disabled and elderly people.

DENIS R | Overall ExperienceAbsolutely awful customer service — and no maintenance of the grounds what so ever. If anything they made it EVEN HARDER to get to the locker. From not snow plowing after major snow falls, parking rental trucks in front of the entrances and making it nearly impossible to enter the locker area. At one point an employee even had THEIR PERSONAL CAR parked at the only exit of the locker area. Because of the way the entrance to the lockers is set up I hit my truck twice on the side wall. When I first signed up for the locker it took them THREE DAYS because the locker “had a lock on it” even though it was supposed to be empty. They never answered the phone to help me with my issue so I had to repeatedly call — while being obviously hung up on — until someone finally decided to answer in an annoyed voice. Absolutely ridiculous set up and staff is so excruciatingly unhelpful and rude. I could not recommend this location any less than I do.

And in the very heavy rains the water went all the way through the facility. I ended up putting all my stuff up on risers and planned to get out as soon as I could. Having said that, the staff were always helpful and contacted us as soon as it happened.

James W | First Impressions1- The door was really hard to close and lock, lots of rust. 2- Water infiltration : 3 boxes were soaked and mold had built up inside - nothing really damaged since it was dishes boxes 3- Accessing the storage was complicated and not convenient : pick-up the key inside only during office hours, trucks parked in front of storage (most of the time it was not possible to backup to load and download)

Picked up truck at 6:30pm explained I'm going to furniture store to get sofa and I'm coming back to get my stuff from the storage and I specifically asked if I'm ok to access the storage after 7pm closing time and I was told that's fine. On my big surprise I couldn't access the storage cuz they put a second lock that I didn't have a key for. Had to turn around and leave plus send home friends that came to help. Next morning I asked manager Ben again why is this happening. His answer was there's no access to the storage after 7pm....the evening before he said opposite. So dear u haul you lost me as a customer forever.

I have been told this is not an isolated incident and that this is entrenched in how Uhaul conducts themselves. I am the Director of Communications for a $15 Billion CPG company and will also be reaching out to my national media contacts across Canada to share my story in hopes that I can save someone else from renting through Uhaul and save them from thousands of dollars in damages, too. On top of not properly maintaining the drainage system at the facility, Uhaul does nothing to mitigate vermin and instead just traps the ones they find, does not dispose of their carcasses, and does not care that they run rampant across the storage facility. Just an absolutely horrendous experience from start to finish.

To make matters worse my brother and I were asked to push some uhaul units out of the way by hand in the rain. Lineup inside was really long and nif moving. I would never use uhaul ever again. I have friends that have stored with Dymon storage and they are extremely happy with everything across the board. I truly wish I would have had a much better experience.
