Towing equipment had a broken tail light so 2 hrs we got pulled over and I couldn't do roadside assistance because the app wouldn't let me do it. We got to go to another location nearby after the location we picked it up from couldn't fix it. Then we hooked up another towing trailer and then had to change it because it was bent. We were behind on our driving time an agent did say she would give us a extra 2 days but for the price of what we pay we just wanted to get on the road. Just very stressful to be having problems with equipment when we just packed up our u-boxes .

Tina NAlthough the instillation on my tow Hitch was installed they failed to complete the wiring under my hood for the working of the lights but when I went to rent the trailer the manager was well experienced with the knowledge and skills to fix the problem which got me on my way....but a good thing to remember is always keep the paper work on big jobs cuz there computer system doesn't save information...I myself had the paperwork for which they installed it which didn't cost me anything for them to fix the issue... overall great customer service

SEAN SHad a smooth experience renting a truck from U-Haul today. The process was straightforward, the vehicle was in good condition, and the service was efficient. No issues at all. Would rent again!
SERGII LWhen I picked up the 10 ft box truck with car dolly. When I got into the cab I took a picture of the dash board and I noticed the fuel gage was at a 8th of a tank. Isn't your policy to make sure all U-Haul equipment is brought back with required fuel level of a half tank. We were in a hurry because this was our 4th stop at U-Haul locations that finally had the right equipment. My wife was following and she noticed the brake light was in operable on the 10Ft box truck.
DALE BI had not realized you now charged per mile. It Has been awhile since I last rented. It has always been unlimited. So I paid for 36 miles and the $19.95 for what was less than 4hours. Seems a bit high. I know I could have kept it over night but a cheaper "just need it for a minute" rate would be Very popular in today's economy.

PRITCHARD MStood in line for 20 minutes waiting to get to the desk.
ELDON WThe office associate would not listen to me on how to attach the safety chains and began to argue, and started telling me if I did not do it his way I would not be able to take the trailer. He called his supervisor, and the supervisor began to hook the safety chains up to my truck the exact same way I was recommending we connect them. Out of impatience, and again not listening to me, they wrapped the chains around my hitch, making it very difficult to remove because it was bound up and not hooked up incorrectly.

JESUS MWe have U-Haul several times. Being retired military and having made many moves, this location by far is the only one we go to anymore. They are always helpful and extremely friendly. We have rented both trucks and trailers, they are always well maintained and very clean.

KIMBERLY SReally disappointed with U-haul, this location was our 4th stop before we actually received the truck we rented. Our original location was 2317 102nd st South in Tacoma, Wa our pick up time was 10:00am and noone was there. We were then sent to second location, which unfortunately someone had broke in the night before and punctured the gas tanks of several trucks. We were then sent to a 3rd location to finally pick up a 26' truck but it wasn't there it was at there overflow lot three blocks down the road. We finally got the truck. Needless to say, that is quite a run around for receiving a vehicle.

JOSUE RThe hood was not latched shut and had the potential to fly up onto the windshield. I noticed it wasn't latched on last day of driving. Frustrating to be told the manager put just enough gas in for me to get to the gas station upon pick up. 2 times in a row now I've had to get my own gas at the start. I had to walk 2 blocks in the rain to pick up as my truck was not on site. Again, highly frustrating.

George MWent to renew vehicle. They took the vehicle away stranding me without a ride. And told me to go to another location to get a new rental. When I got to the new location, they did not have a rental for me. Really awful service all around

TERRI NI reserved a 10’ truck. The night before I was to pick it up I got a call from UHaul and was told no 10’ trucks were available, did I want to rent a 15’ truck? I didn’t a truck that large. I had to call the 24/7 line to find out if a 9’ van was available and after 30 minutes on the phone was able to reserve one. I went to pick up the van and saw at least two 10’ vans on the lot. Very frustrating, especially to get a call the night before pickup that what I’d reserved was no longer available. Very frustrating. That could’ve messed up my entire moving schedule. Last year I rented a truck in Yakima at a big UHaul lot. They didn’t have any hand carts available even though I had requested one on my reservation. Also very frustrating. Customer service needs to improve.

BUT, You were increasing my rent almost every month!! $163 for an inside unit, up a flight of stairs!? What a rip-off!! I paid my rent every month, and I was a good customer. AUSTIN S | Overall ExperienceNot only was my unit robbed THREE times in ONE NIGHT.. but then when the facility KNEW that I had traveled, from across the country, just so I could come and consolidate my units. The staff seem me doing a lot of emptying of my unit and decided to then DENY me entrance to my unit to finalize the disposal of the last 4 or five items still in the unit. Knowing FULL WELL.. I would be leaving the state again within two days of the denial! Forcing me to pay additionally two mor months of storage.. because you see.. not only was the unit PAID UP TO DATE.. they STILL PLACED ANOTHER LOCK ON MY UNIT and then had the nerve to state otherwise.. UNTIL.. my mother had told them that either they removed the lock, which AGAIN should have NEVER been placed!!, or she would have my dad come over to the unit and cut the lock off with dead bolt cutters. All of a sudden, they decided to take the lock off. Once again… THE UNIT WAS PAID TO DATE! The manager is a complete A$$hole!! His rudeness and his bold face lying reflects his true character. You have some snarky younger men working there and they clearly have adopted the managers attitude towards their patrons. The fact that the staff was so WILLING to FAIL on their SECURITY MEASURES to allow someone to come and ROB MULTIPLE UNITS IN ONE NIGHT AND MY UNIT THREE TIMES! Including then stealing a trailer off the lot just to fill up more..yet nothing done pertaining to the ALARM?? Going off multiple times ALL NIGHT and their disgusting attitudes and lack of care SPEAKS VOLUMES on just how well this U-Haul facility is ran and managed. The fact the manager wants to shrug off theft/robbery.. and it being conducted over and over again in ONE night.. should alarm you that this facility is a liability to the U-Haul name. Not standing behind the company values and MORALS.. again disgusting.

Jolene K | Overall ExperienceStorage unit ceilings were not as shown in the showroom. I couldn't even fit my furniture upright and my mattresses were tore up by the rough wood plank ceiling and had to be bent in half just to get them into the unit sideways and still have space for the rest of my things. Because the ceilings were so low I also had to purchase a second unit just to fit everything when I was expecting to have plenty of space to stack boxes. Also the parking lot, if you can even call it that is an absolute mess and a hazard. Trying to load and unload furniture and boxes through doors that you have to key swipe every single time to enter made our moving process so much more difficult and trying to park and exit when all the U-haul trucks are there was absurd. This is probably the poorest storage unit location step up I have ever seen. Plus there is no prorated move out which I have never rented a storage unit that doesn't prorate their move in and move out so that was financially detrimental and the storage units also had some units that were up stairs. I don't know anyone who would rent a unit where they have to haul stuff up and down stairs just to store them. I will never use U-haul storage ever again. Any time I needed to talk to staff I had to wait for over 20 minutes even when it was just one person in line and one day I just walked out because it was talking so long and I just had a simple question to verify payment went through for my units. They also failed to refund me for a hitch that I did not purchase but was still charged to my credit card. I was going to purchase a hitch with the trailer I was going to rent but the lights on the trailer did not work so they couldn't rent it to me and so I said I don't need to purchase the hitch then but they still charged me for it even though I didn't even take one. The facility was clean but there was also no light inside the storage units which made finding stuff inside them difficult too. The storage access and business hours were convenient but everything else about renting here was as inconvenient as possible. Two stars, one for cleanliness and the other for pity for the next person who rents a unit here.

I never actually moved into them. Parking is a major problem here. There are three parking spaces for people with storage. The rest of the property is for incoming and outgoing mobile equipment.

Seattle is cheaper then Tacoma I live in Seattle use to live in Tacoma. Even though it was cheaper at the time and convenient I was just saddened that it kept going up.

Email gave me an access code that has never/will never work. Online instructions should mention that you still need to go into the office to complete move in and get an access card in order to access the unit. Instructions from employees was clear.

After moving my stuff out found that more than I originally thought was taken. Around 5 thousand dollars worth of items stolen. Was told cameras were not working that day! Haha!!! All this does not even include the items that can NEVER be replaced!!!!! Oh and OVER 5 thousand dollars in tools that I didn’t know how to account for because I’ve been buying them for over 20 years. So thank you for keeping my items safe Uhaul. I can see from your public tv in the lobby that the cameras look fine to me but for sum reason they didn’t work when all my stuff was stolen. As far as renting a truck from Uhaul that seems to be ok. Thanks for everything

I asked for $5,000 worth of insurance coverage and they only gave me $1,000, so I'm mainly upset that I didn't get what I requested. Apart from that, the GM was very friendly and you could tell that he really cared about his business through the way he interacted with both his subordinates and the customers.

They clearly do not hire people that are friendly. It’s especially bad as this was my first experience using their storage facility. It was very confusing at the beginning how we were allowed to enter and exit the building. Every time we asked for help they were unfriendly and somewhat unhelpful. They spoke to us like we should already know exactly what we are supposed to do. I had a huge sense of relief whenever we stopped using the storage facility yesterday. The facility itself seemed maintained well enough. I felt the price was fair. I just don’t recommend this company due to the horrible customer service.
