Had a 10 AM appointment. Arrived and was informed that they were running 2 hours behind. Why wasn’t I called earlier in day and asked to reschedule or just to come a little later. I was there for 31/2 hours to get a hitch on. I made an appointment so I can work around the install. My time is valuable to me and I don’t appreciate sitting in a UHaul facility. Would advised anyone not to use this place, I will not again.

My experience was excellent picking up and dropping off. When I received my statement, I was hit with a fuel charge. I have pictures of the fuel gauge before and after the use. Do you keep the fuel at a quarter full so a charge could be applied at return? I had to return to the store to get an adjustment. I am still waiting on my refund.

I was charged $7.50 for gas even though I put gas in it to replace the fuel that I used. I only went 8 miles. I can't believe the extra charges when I used the van for 1 hour or less and the insurance which I used my own. The extra charges is what I really was upset about.

The staff was not familiar with the self storage rooms and which ones were still vacant. We had to come back to the office several times to inform them the status of the rooms. Ie already rented, steel beam in center of room.The staff should have come over to the storage room in person to provide help, rather then make us make us make several trips between the building and office .

Truck was returned without damage. The return faciality in Pleasant Hills PA is very poorly designed with little to no room to return rentals and or park. The lot was so congested during my return I had to back out of the entrance, go down the road and turn around and wait for congestion to clear to return the truck. After I finally was able to get into the lot and park. I went into the building and was told if it was just a return to leave the keys and contract in the truck and I would get a receipt emailed to me. Not what I consider acceptable customer serve but I did what I was instructed to do. What a mistake. I did receive a receipt that evening along with a bill for $426 in damages and a note that stated I was in an accident when I returned the truck on 3/23. I went back to the location on 3/24 again very congested and busy. After waiting in line and the associate that I explained my problem to called the manager that was not on site. I was advised at that point that they must have assigned the damage to the wrong truck and it would be corrected. I have video taken on 3/24 verifying no damage to the truck I rented. Then again on 3/25 I received a receipt for my rental along with a $426 bill for damages. I do not think it should be this difficult to correct your mistake.

We were running a few minutes late, they were closing at 7 and we got there about 5 after. We started to unhook it going to use the self-return, and a lady came out with gloves, unhooked the trailer like a pro, and told me it wouldn’t be checked in until the next day. She was great! Wish I caught her name. Overall a great experience with UHaul.

I pay for insurance and the truck got stuck in the mud They refused to come get me out unless I paid extra 425 dollars. I was confused what the insurance was for, but no one could give me a good answer.

When my wife got to the Pleasant Hills, PA U-Haul location to get our reserved truck on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 9:00AM, there was already a long line of customers who got there before us. For whatever reason(s), there was only 1 U-Haul worker, Joshuan N. I don't know if the other U-Haul worker got fired, quit, was sick, or was in jail. Joshua N. did an excellent job being a 1-person show helping all customers before me, moving trucks, then hurrying to the next customer. I hope you give Joshua N. a pay raise and give him a promotion! Thank you to Joshua N. for all of your hard work today, Michael Averbach

Service agents in the shop were very disinterested in helping and did not come out to inspect the vehicle either before or after handing it off. Sign says to wait in car for someone to come out - - no one ever came out. I went inside and turned in keys. I've had a more professional experience at the U-Haul on Library Rd in Bethel Park and will go there in the future.

Better customer service from your employees. Very unprofessional and rude. When I returned my van your employee told me to go ahead and leave and he would email me my receipt. I told him I would wait until he checked vehicle because I wanted to know what my extra charge would be because I knew I went over my miles. He got an attitude with me.

Pick up my Uhaul and car transport to move from Pittsburgh to Las vegas, I hade excellent service, the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. In the store they need help there were only 2 people working and one of the employees was from another store.

Tailor your pricing for each customer. I had the van for 1.5 hrs and was willing and did take a filthy vehicle to help out this location. I also added $10 in gas so, essentially, I paid $62+ for 1.5 hrs of use. Seems a bit much. Just sayin.

My problem is with billing,I got pick up on2/13 and took it back the 14th. But first they held $128.87 for the estimated cost, 2 days later I had to call cause it still haven't been processed then when they so-called fixed it,they then took another $93.80 today. That's almost $250 for a $70 rental ??

Very very bad and worse deals. There was someone in the front desk to whom I reserved for the storage and I was assigned unit size 10’16’6 but finally they told me they don’t have that size unit, So they gave me too much trouble, it was 11th hour my stuffs were about to reach the storage. I had trouble seeing in the storage unit. The door has a small opening and doesn't let enough light in. There were 3 dead mice in various places in my storage. A moving blanket was destroyed by the mice. I haven't been through everything to see if anything else was damaged by them. Other than that, everything was as I left it 6 years ago.

This Uhaul location has a ‘Rodent’ and ‘Rat’ problem. I scene a very large ‘Rat’ when I moved out. These units are not sealed. Meaning rotten and rats can move from one unit to another. You can smell the malt balls odor throughout the storage facility. The facility looks clean and orderly. Please request and ask to see these units. To see my points. I can’t recommend this facility to anybody. They certainly have a rat problem at this location. This is the honest God ‘TRUTH’.

There were several mixups and misinformation. The young woman I believe Jessica is her name but not sure. She stepped in and saved the day. After she got involved and fixed everything it was great. The three gentlemen working that day can use much more training!

My unit had mouse droppings in it. When I showed Jessica, she said she would have some one clean it. Whoever cleaned it didn't clean it all up. There were several locations in the unit with mouse droppings. I loaded my belongings on one side of the unit and will see if someone can clean the remaining droppings. Or I may do it myself. I know many storage units have mice, but at least TRY to make it look like you don't. . The locks don't work well on the units either. I have to go back up to have them drill a bigger hole so the lock actually works. The unit should have been cleaned and inspected before I checked in. I wish I could say I'd recommend it, but I can't right now. Fortunately, I will only need it for a few months. If this were going to be a longer term rental, I think I'd look elsewhere.

The only negative experience is that the larger unit is located on the 2nd level and there is no ramp for moving bulky, heavy items. Walking the steps with these items was difficult.

No one explained to me that there were steps to get to the unit which we found difficult but our main issue was the height of the unit. We had a truck full of furniture that would have been too tall to fit in this unit and also a fridge. I was never told the type of storage I was offered was short. So only a small load of stuff was brought there. I had to rent another place Saturday from A normal style storage unit. The uhaul storage was free to us however the unplanned mileage put on the uhaul truck cost me extra money. I will be contacting uhaul about this because not only did I have to rent a unit elsewhere I now put an additional 20 miles on the truck. And ontop of that I'm going to have to pickup everything I did put at the uhaul facility another day.

Half of the storage units in this facility are accessible only by stairs, including the unit I rented. I will not renew and would not recommend this facility to anyone, in fact I would warn them if the wanted to rent here.

I made several trips to move out. Once, the sliding doors weren't opened. This was around noon, so it wasn't because it was off hours. This made it very difficult to move out using the door, which is down a narrow hallway. I called to let them know it was locked and waited on hold for over 15 minutes. Apparently, you get kicked over to a hotline when you call. She was no help, said to just go inside and tell them. I said I will not, that nobody wears masks that work there, even though it's required by our Governor to wear them in businesses. Once, I came a little after 7pm, and access to the storage units were closed. Online and on the sign, it is posted that OFFICE hours close at 7pm, however it states that access to storage units were to be until 10pm. Wasted trip all the way down there. Because of that, I had to scramble to move out the day of. There is always junk in the parking lot, at least by the loading dock where I frequented. Because I made so many trips every day to my unit, I noticed some used band-aids a little further down in the hallway. They were there for days and to my last day, were still there. Everything is so dark and dingy inside, also. Rent kept going up. Once, I received a notice that they were painting, so they needed to raise the rent to keep it maintained. When they painted it looked fresh and new. However, it was not maintained. I noticed when I was moving out, that several holes were patched all around, but never painted over. So, all you see are all these spackled holes everywhere. Lastly, as I mentioned, nobody there wears masks. It took me over a week, making a total of 30 trips to move everything and so I saw several times throughout the week of employees talking close to customers with no mask on. Whether it be showing a customer a new unit inside, behind the the counter at service, or them showing or receiving storage trucks from customers, they never wore a mask. I saw all customers wear them. There is even a sign in their window to please wear one upon entry. I understand it's inconvenient, I know, I moved wearing one the whole time. Some days were very hot, and yet I kept it on for respect of others.

The unit was clean, but I was extremely disappointed to find that my large storage unit was located on the 2nd floor with the only access to the unit was to carry large, heavy items up steps. There should be ramp access. The unit door height is also very low which made getting oversized items extremely difficult to get into the unit.
