Customer feedback is extremely important to us. We use these reviews to guide our efforts and improve our service. Everything that follows is direct from our customers, without any filtering or editing on our part.
There are a couple of things I would recommend. The first suggestion is to offer a military discount. We are a heavy populated militry area and in my opinon every business should offer military discount just as a thank you to the community that serves. Also the sinage is misleading for the cost. Please be upfront with your customers so we can know exactly what we are getting. Don't have any price differences in smaller print. Post everything in bold so as the customer there are no suprises.

James DI put "No" for the well-maintained portion of the question. The 20' truck we rented was clean, however my husband who is a mechanic noticed tie rod issues, as well as transmission slipping issues. I, myself, could hear numerous different noises that did not sound normal compared to other U-Haul trucks we rented before. Not having the expertise in car and truck mechanics like my husband, I can not give you any more details of the noises. With all that being said, the other trucks on the lot looked newer, and in much better shape. We rented late on a Saturday, so I am sure the pickings were bare. Customer service was outstanding, though. When we picked up the truck to having to call in the next day to let them know we were running behind. Both gentleman that helped me were professional, courteous, and friendly. It was a fresh of breath air to deal with not just one, but two different gentleman that were pleasant with no hassles.

Paul PSell that piece of junk truck off to someone for a business-use box truck. It should not have been in the U-haul fleet. I understand that you want to maximize your profits. But the truck was awful and a horrible driving experience. The cab of the truck was so loud during driving that we had to yell at each other to communicate for our entire 8 hour there and 8 hour back - 938 mile trip. The truck had a horrible vibration. My hands physically shook the entire drive from how bad something mechanically was wrong with the truck. The box of the truck was clean. But the body of the truck was dirty. The tires looked like the previous renter drove it through mud. The box was scraped, scratched, and banged up. The cab had rust areas and the black rubber seal around the drivers door kept coming off. I had to keep pushing it back on. This was NOT the source of the loud noise. The noise was from the top of the door on the driver side. If it has 152204 on it, it's probably time to retire the truck and move on. Not rent it like it's a quality unit to someone for the exact same price as something newer.

William JI was originally quoted $685 for my rental. I put in the correct mileage and equipment when making this reservation. When I went to do my express check in the rate jumped to $800. I called the 1-800 number and a girl named Ashley said on a recorded line that she found my original quote and it would be honored and if it didn't change her or "Mike" could fix it. I called back after I seen no change on the reservation and another gentleman confirmed on another recorded line that it was only the "dot com" that was being slow and that I indeed would be charged my original quote upon arriving at the location. When I arrived the day of my rental, the manager had heard nothing of this and it was too late for me to rent elsewhere so I took the equipment in hopes that Ashley wasn't lying to me and there just had to be a mistake. I called back and I was treated like I could not count and they just couldn't understand why I didn't grasp that the $800 was cheaper than going with a normal rental and $0.89 per mile. I understand why it's cheaper to go with a weekly rate and $0.49 per mile, but it was NOT cheaper than my original quote which was CONFIRMED on a RECORDED LINE. I dont know what it was charging per mile, but a glitch in YOUR system is NOT my problem. That quote was my deciding factor to go with uhaul and not Penske. You waited until I couldn't make another reservation with another company and robbed me. I was belittled and treated like an idiot in front of customers at the location and on the phone. I have never had a more negative experience with a company ever. I will be reporting you to the Better Business Bureau and will never recommend you again. I will get my money.

DOUG MThe appt setup was easy, the drop off was quick and the hitch installation was done well. However when we tried to pay and pick up my truck, a young girl waited on us and even though she had a UHaul shirt on and asked if she could help us, she got flustered and kept texting someone. She wasn't giving us much info other than she hates it when he's not here (manager, owner, ???) and that she's never here. Another associate asked if he could help her and she said she was figuring it out in a rude way. She did say she was sorry, but laughed when she said it. After about 10 minutes or so we finally were able to pay. I was told to go check and make sure everything was good, I had to go back in because the pin and clip was not in my truck. She tried to help me, but didn't know which one to give me so me and another associate had to go back out and get my paperwork. I then had to follow him back in to get the pin and clip. Everything was good up until we arrived to pick it up and pay. I may recommend this place, but I'll be certain to let them know about the ordeal we had pickjing it up.

Also the check engine light was on. It made me nervous but thankfully the truck worked perfect! Other than that, no complaints! My first time ever renting a u-haul and I very much enjoyed it.

RICHARD SMake the cut out more precise and cleaner cut. The opening on mine is off center and jagged. I normally wouldn't care but the vehicle is brand new. But it's too late now. Also communicate with the customer as to where the wiring harness is located so you don't have to return to find out. Other than all that everyone was very nice and the lady who cleans up everything works really hard and never sat down even while wearing a cam walker boot. Employees like that are very hard to find.

I went in, didn't have to pay up front, got the first month FREE, got to pull into a temperature controlled bay and utilize a dollie and easily load my stuff from car to a temperature controlled storage unit. We were pcs-ing with the military and had to have somewhere quick or we never would have paid that amount. Had set up autopay with the clerk, but apparently it wasn’t done correctly and I was charged a late fee multiple times. I had to go up there twice to finally have it done properly. The lady that called was not very pleasant. Some employees were very friendly some were not. The facility was clean and well maintained. I would not rent here again overall.

Jacob A | First ImpressionsThe location and units were excellent, no storage or security issues at all. The only issue I encountered was the online account/checkout procedure. I moved out before the end of the month but was charged an additional month. My online U-haul account did not have the storage units in the “my account” page so I assumed I was good to go. Then on the 3rd of the month I was charged for both units and a late fee. Currently U-haul is working on fixing the issue and it looks like I will be refunded the over charge.
