When renting the equipment, offer options such as where the closest center is to drop off rather than just guessing. Also asking how long we need the equipment rather than guessing and renting it for a full day. The customer service is trash, needs to do better as employees were handing off customers because they were tired and needed a break. The guy who “took care” of us had no idea what he was doing so when we were returning things, we were running across town.
ESTEFANIA PThis is only the second time in 2 years that I rent from this location but BOTH times the manager has been rude. I didnt catch his name unfortunstely as I did not go there expecting a bad experience nor intending to take names. I needed a trailer to move some furniture: I forgot the hitch pin for my uhaul installed trailer hitch: when I stated this to the employee, before she could respond, this gentleman walked up and said I'll give you ten minutes to go get it, or buy another one, otherwise we will cancel the order. No offer to help, no discussion on what he could do to HELP, just a quick snap and he walked off. It left a terrible impression: and as I hurried home, i realized he was the same person that pointed out mud on the wheels the last time i rented a moving van and said if i didnt clean it, he would charge me the cleaning fee. I will not return to that location for sure.

Ronald Mexcellent service, just one thing, the instructions of the drop off 24/7 are not clear enough, when dropped off the trailer and one guy left the trailer he rented by the entrance of the parking lot, it was king of overwhelming because we did not wanted to make a mess with the parking LOL, other than that excellent, keep the good job up!!

PETER HThe management (Jose Montes) and staff went above and beyond in providing customer service to accomodate me and ensure my needs were met.
WENDELL CI turned in the keys after hours, dropped into the return box (I have a video confirming it). The place stated that they never received the keys and kept charging me daily for the whole month. Also, they stated they had to rekey the truck because they didn't receive the keys back, and charged me for that. I spoke with the manager Jose who assured me that he will take care of this, but nothing happened. I waited for a while, then tried to contact him again, but he stopped replying to my messages. I can't believe this happened with a company like U-Haul. This is something that scammers would do.

This time the truck I got whistled like belts need changing, couldn’t turn the A/C off, and had a big crack across the windshield. I ordered a utility dolly, but they didn’t have one and changed it to an appliance dolly and made me pay the difference. No dolly, come on U-Haul! My third and final rental with them; three strikes, you’re out!

JOSE RRented a 10' truck which didn't start so they had to give me another truck and the new truck had a broken dial used for the A/C, BTW it was raining hard that day. When I returned the truck I handed the keys to the employee behind the counter and thought I was done. Well, after a couple days I got a call from them saying I didn't return the truck. I returned it the same day and they couldn't find the keys so they assumed I still had it. They were asking me what time I returned it and what the guy looked like who I gave the keys to; just a total mess. Then after that I got the bill and they over-charged me 2 extra days. Apparently, they didn't believe that I returned the truck in when I said I did. All-in-all the experience was terrible and that location has some serious management issues as you can see.

STEVEN NThe details regarding pick ups and local residents versus out of town residents should be clarified amongst staff and customers. I was told by the employee at the register that in order to rent a Uhaul you have to be a “local resident”. I have never been told this. That was irrelevant, however, because my rental was an out of town one way rental. Had the employee checked prior to telling me “you can’t rent the truck unless you have a utility bill”….she would've known better!

AMBER LEverything was good. They were able to upgrade my truck especially on a Labor Day Weekend. I did need and believed I reserved a dolly, but was unavailable. I had to go buy one.

SAMANTHA PI was informed according to the equipment contract to return equipment to this location which I did. Upon returning it there was a big mix up according to the gentleman who initially took the trailer so they had to call I’m assuming a supervisor. We had to wait a long while before we could leave. Which would have been ok but in the meantime later I received a call from equipment recovery stating I hadn’t returned the equipment. I called and spoke to Peggy who took care of the problem. I am now completely relieved the mix up has been resolved for both entities. Thank you Peggy.
GUADALUPE GWhat a scam. I drove 70 miles. 20 of them loaded with about 1000pounds. I filled up the car to what it was when I got it. When I brought it back, I was told it was not enough gas in the tank. I went back to a gas station and filled it up some more, in total 7 gallons and visually I know it was more gas than when I got it. When I brought back the second time, I was told that there was not enough gas again. The picture with original gas, no one showed me as it was not available. Very disappointing

TERENCE RPicking up was not good, and drop-off was troublesome. Overall, I reserved 4-5 days ago. Still, I was told that it is not available in Bowie. overall, it was a too-bad experience.
MOHAMMAD TThe fender on the driver side on the auto transport was VERY DIFFICULT to lay down. It was cemented (not literally) to the trailer. I had to loosen fender bolts and pry it down to eventually work as designed. Additionally the safety chains were missing rubber connectors; used tape instead. Overall, no real issues. 3d time to rent from this facility. U-Haul staff always very helpful and ready to connect the trailer to my truck.

JOSE RI dropped off my truck rental using the app to return the equipment. Unexpectedly an employee named Kay still came over to assist me. He was so kind asking how my rental went and if I needed anything. I’m almost 8-months pregnant and while I was waiting in the crazy Dallas heat for my Uber- he brought me an ice cold bottled water. I honestly never expect this level of customer service anywhere -especially at uhaul. Thank you Kay!!!
ROSE NTrailer drop off location is extremely hard to find. Customer has to do all legwork to find trailer lot that is not marked. Customer also has to ignore the huge and obvious drop-off signs to drop a trailer. Then the customer has to maneuver the trailer via backwards parking to wherever the employee directs. Ok for some, but if my sister had driven it she would have been challenged and frazzled.
Cooper TMake sure you let a customer know that they will get gouged if they do not take it back to the exact location they picked up from. When this reservation was made, nothing was said about this, and so was dropped at a convenient location. My disabled mom paid for the dolly and authorized the $63.75 charge, but later was charged an exorbitant amount because it wasn’t dropped back off at the same location. This was not explained or officiated to her or myself, and she did not authorize the charge. We have cashed and are waiting to hear back. This is terrible service to take peoples money and not inform them if any additional charges about a drop off. Shame on U Haul

MAYA L | Online Move InI will not be returning to this location or referring to a friend. I was given keys to a truck that was nowhere on the lot. I searched for it with hired help, told they could not offer me another truck, then about 15 minutes later, they gave me one, without the dolly I requested. I called the same day to cancel my storage unit. The woman that answered told me not to worry, I wouldn't be charged. A month later I received an email to pay my storage bill. I called the 800 number to cancel and was assured it was done on their end and should be completed locally. Just received a late notice from local location. Had to call again. I was placed on hold a couple of times while the lady that Shana tried to figure it out. She said there was a file about me. Finally, she told me everything was taken care of. I asked for some sort of confirmation to be emailed to me. There was nothing to send to me. I'm just hoping I don't have to make another call next month.

This was because the “doors weren’t working” even though we got in by checking in at the gate and doors opened for us with no issues. Here is how this could have been a better experience: 1) add a note on your website under the store if there are issues. What if I had movers with me? 2) Identify the training gaps and train your employees. You should add how to phrase what you say to customers in your training curriculum. What matters is how you say it not what you say. Your other south austin location is even WORSE.

On site personnel should have moved my goods to a unit that was out of harms way but that didn't happen. While I was reimbursed partially for the damaged goods, more could have been done. I will not be using UHAUL in the future and would not recommend them to any friends or family.

I went over on gas, miles, and time because they were incapable of providing a storage unit. I had to take time off work to unload my truck 20 miles north the following week.

The employees were unorganized and unprofessional. They sent me to 3 other locations through out the Dallas metro that were all closed on sundays. They refused to accept responsibility for causing me to go over on gas, miles, and truck rental time. I was forced to take time off work on monday to move into a storage unit that was far from the original location. Very disappointed with the Uhaul Richardson staff for wasting my time and their poor attitudes. I expect more from you.

After waiting 15-20 minutes, I finally went and found someone else who did cut the lock off and get me in. On another note, why in the WORLD would you have a split unit storage system where the larger units are up a staircase?!?! It stands to reason that anyone using the larger units probably has furniture and now we have to carry that furniture up some stairs. This is about the dumbest thing in storage facilities I’ve ever encountered. We won’t be using this facility again for that reason alone.

Because i did the online move in, the email said my storage room was ready to access and all i had to do was enter the building which is not the case. as soon as i opened my storage room, the alarm went off because i had no card to swipe. Instructions were unclear and everything was confusing. I will not be using UHaul storage ever again.

Employees weren't urgent and lacked the knowledge needed to serve us the way we needed to be served. There were about 4 people who needed to service us. We arrived a few minutes after 5pm on a Friday and left close to 8.pm The only thing we needed to do was return our truck, get a storage unit, and move the things out of our truck into our unit. If needing U-haul services and products in the future, this will not be the location we seek said services and products. My name isn't even spelled correctly for this account even though my wife and I were asked our names and other sensitive information several times while trying to secure a storage room.
