One of the worst rental experiences of my entire life. Poor management, rude and disrespectful people, and numerous mistakes in the inventory on the computer. I was totally disgusted with the entire process.

The equipment was clean and functioned properly throughout the drive, with no operational issues. However, I did experience a problem during the move. It was raining that day, and I noticed a small pinhole in the roof of the truck. Unfortunately, this allowed water to leak inside, soaking many of my belongings. Several wooden items may now be damaged beyond repair, and all of my clothing was also affected. I reported the issue to the manager at the drop-off location.

NATHAN PI requested self check in however still had to use the counter. Not enough help, the gal was very slow as I was in a hurry. I missed out on an hour of my movers since they arrived while I was still trying to get the truck. They were out of the appliance dolly I had reserved. Started my day off with major anxiety and had to pay for more movers.

CHARLES L1) two weeks out, I called in to change my order. After my order was changed, I found that my pickup location was changed to 90 miles away from my intended pickup. I called back in and a different lady corrected my location. I asked her if the truck and trailer would be hooked up and ready to go and she said yes. 2) when I arrived at the location for pickup, the lady told my truck was not hooked up and that they don't do that. she also told me my truck was the last one in a long line of trucks. It wasn't. It was parked in between two other trucks. 3) after driving around the large parking lot to find my trailer, I hooked up the trailer. the lady came over to check my hook up and check lights and such. when she was checking lights, she realized that an other trailer behind mine had the tongue underneath the back of my trailer. because of this, I had to unhook, and then pull my tailer forward before I could hook up. Then entire process took 40 minutes, but should ahve taken 15.

JASON AI was unable to continue moving, brought the trailer back as I told the lady there who I believe was a manager, that the door was stuck, we could open but only shut 1/2 to 3/4. When i showed her she kept messing with it, up and down in front of the store, and saw a slight dent, so then explained it works now, after pushing very hard up and down. I stated my son and i tried to push it and had to unload everything and brought it back in morning on our way to church. I explained I had 2 more loads left. I even sent email on night it happened after having to unload everything. She told me to file a claim but said it works now???. My thinking is, the product I paid to rent was not in working condition, and if i were to push up and down , and if it were to break something I would have been liable for it. So i am needing to read the paperwork to file a claim.As for what I paid I did not get the use out of it

When I asked for a different trailer for the difference of the price, the guy didn't even answer me. He just charged for a whole new one. Service has been hit or miss here before too. When it's good it's good, when it isn't, staff just doesn't care.

WESLEY PGreat customer service! I have an issue with my closing paperwork that was issued by the return location. My rental gas was listed at 1/2 a tank by the front desk assistant and highlighted to show that level should match in the dash. Upon entering the vehicle it was only at a 1/4 of a tank. I took a photo of the tank level, adjusted to the proper level in my confirmation details. I submitted a photo of the mistake and noted the correction. I took photos of the entire vehicle and departed. I submitted these photos while in the U-Haul parking lot to ensure a time stamp of legitimacy. I returned with the vehicle at the same level as I received it. The vehicle was returned at 1/4 tank. I have been sent paperwork asking for my signature claiming over $80 in a charge for gas and gas labor. I am requesting a refund for that amount since it is not the customers duty to pay for more gas than they received.

WILLIAM HThis was an awful experience. Only one person working and a huge line of us waiting. I was told I could just drop off my trailer and they would take a picture. I unhooked the 6x12 trailer by myself and left. I got a call from U-Haul two days later asking if I dropped it off indicating that nobody cleared me out. I will find another place to drop off in the future. Total waste of time and I’m glad I didn’t hurt my back unhooking that trailer by myself.

The pick-up you rent should be able to pull the trailers your rent instead of having to rent a box truck at a higher cost on daily fee, mileage fee and fuel costs. I was not impressed with the rest of the employees or their customer service, other than the two I mentioned.

MARTIN MThe tailgate needs pins that are secured by a chain. One side was secured with a piece of copper tubing. We replaced it with a bolt that was snug. The bolt on the other side fell out on the trip to return the trailer. Otherwise, the trailer was perfect for our purpose. Ms. Bagley and the associate I met at the return were both very knowledgeable and professional. The roominess of the facility is tremendous for those of us who are not professional haulers and drivers. Thanks

JATHAN CWhen I arrived, the place was bustling with customers. This location really needs more staff to ensure that customers are served promptly. I made my reservation using the U-Haul app, but for some reason, my current information wasn’t fully uploaded, which caused a bit of a delay. I wasn’t sure where my furniture dolly was, and while I was outside getting my trailer hitched, I completely forgot to pick it up. I believe they should have had someone assist me in retrieving the dolly so I wouldn’t have had to drive all the way across town and then come back. The transition from the representative to getting the trailer took so long that it made me forget about the furniture dolly.

The customer has to go up there to inspect the truck and remove the lock, then go back to the building to return the lock and go back across the lot to the rental again. Too much time wasted.

There were technical issues with the gate and customers added after a certain date were unable to be added to the keycard access. This even applied to an access code. The ONLY way to go through the gates to the units was to go to the office and hope an employee wasn't busy with something else. Then the employee had to walk all the way to the gate and open with their code. I was unloading a truck I rented into a unit near closing hours and was locked inside the compound until I could get the attention of the employee inspecting trucks to be let out. NOT acceptable but also not the fault of the employees at this location.

Told me that one of the 10x10 Units was what I ordered and I knew that would not hold all of our items. He made me go over there to confirm it would not work. When I came back to the office, I had to re-wait in the line all over again and he then had to go back over with me. He sat in his truck totally confused, wasting our time when we had movers coming to our house that were on the clock. It was very frustrating and took nearly an hour to get the correct units confirmed and keys so we could get into the units with our items. Basically he was not trained appropriately and caused a lot of confusion and delays. Once we got access, everything was fine.

Easy check in, had no issues, free to use carts inside, sparkling clean (even the restrooms!!) - I have no worries or concerns about storing my items here.

The General (Uvanda) and Area (Matt) managers were extremely rude and disrespectful. My reservation that should have only taken me about 1-2 hours to receive and load and be on my way took more than 5 hours due to staff absence, lack of communication and response, and unprofessionalism. The General Manager threatened to call law enforcement on me simply because after 5 hours, when she decided to show up at her job, I asked her if she would hurry so that I could go. She would not and actually had me just standing there while her report was loading and when I asked how much longer it would take she said "Oh, I'm done with you" in a very much disregarding and disrespectful tone. Prior to this, the Area Manager, Matt, hung up in my face after yelling "Well, then just don't get the truck!" when I was seeking resolve as a customer for such inconveniences. My overall experience has been absolutely horrible and frustrating, and I will likely never use U-haul again.

Travis J | Online Move InWe were customers for almost a decade, and i wish we had changed providers much sooner. We paid for key fobs monthly to get thru the gate, and they rarely if ever worked. The final straw was we wanted an additional unit, and called towards the end of September to secure it. We were told we would get a unit after the first of the month. After the 1st of October we called and kept getting put further and further back, the representatives saying they just needed to empty the unit. After 3 weeks of calling daily, if not multiple times a day, they still didn't have it ready, and at this point we were weeks behind getting our employee set up to work, we got a unit across the street at a new competitor... and then proceeded to move our current 2 units as well. Even though we had emptied and notified the staff well before the billing date, we were still charged another month for both units.

The price rises are praying on people’s out of sight out of mind. It’s kinda annoying to watch the price consistently rise dispute the facility most definitely being paid off. having an understanding of how much $100 is as my WEEKLY grocery bill is more than $100 pisses me off knowing some people have no choice but to store their things for extended periods of time as the units price constantly makes it more difficult to get back in the position to be able to empty out the units. This seems like a trap for people who are struggling to fix themselves financially especially in the current economy. If you want people to move out or give an extra push to keep the occupancy more manageable, try starting with text notifications or at least some kinda of reminder for people about the unit they have. So would I refer uhall to a friend? no. Maybe to my worst enemy but even then I’d feel guilty.
