The end of April I spoke directly with staff at the Rose City office to notify them I would be moving out prior to my May due date (5/23). There were two ladies on duty that morning who indicated that I did not have to give advance notice, just clean out unit and notify them when done. I did so prior to May's billing. When I completed the task I went into the office, gave them my unit number, was asked if all was cleaned out, I responded "yes" and the female indicated that she would verify and close out my account when done. Yesterday i received a demanding email notice to pay my bill of which I became infuriated because I do everything I can to ensure I meet my commitments and yet U-Haul dropped the ball by not doing what they should have done and then going to the extreme in sending me a "demanding pay" email. I'm offended by the email. Yes, I did immediately reach out to the staff upon receiving the email but the fact that I had to do that is what made me very unhappy with Rose City U-Haul.

I originally rented a unit through a first-month-free promotion but underestimated the size I needed. When I realized everything wouldn't fit, I was able to rent a larger nearby unit instantly through the app with just a few clicks—no paperwork, phone calls, or hassle. The flexibility and convenience were a huge help, especially since we were working against a late-night deadline. Even though we ended up finishing after closing time while moving everything into the larger unit, U-Haul was understanding and never made an issue of it. The self-storage experience was easy, convenient, and customer-friendly from start to finish. I would definitely use U-Haul Storage again in the future.
