The truck that I rented was unbelievably dirty and smelled of cigarettes. On top of that, the employee switched which truck I would be using and forgot to give us the utility dolly and furniture cart that I paid for… I have yet to see that refund has been processed. Also, do not understand why customers have to fill up the gas tanks… so we not pay for our mileage usage?? Bad experience.

I’m losing trust, It seems like if I stay during vehicle return I don’t get extra charges, but if I leave it and they check the return in later that I get hit with either fuel surcharges or cleaning fees. It’s disappointing.

Clean the windows on your stuff. I found out the hard way driving with a fully loaded trailer at night your truck was not safe at all to drive at night. As soon as the headlights from oncoming traffic were in view my visibility got reduced significantly because of how dirty your windows were. Keep in mind I am not talking about oncoming traffic's high-beams, I am talking about regular low beams. I had to stop and pay for glass cleaner and microfiber towels to clean your equipment. What's even more aggravating is I had to pay an extra $80 for this truck because you would not honor a quote I received from your website that "was valid through April 5"... or the same day I picked up the truck. What is the point? If you are looking for help testing your website, because it clearly needs it, please reach out to me. There are tons of things you can do to make the customer experience much better and seamless.

When I showed up a snow blower was left in front of the trucked and was the only U-Haul trucked covered in snow and iced up. I had to enter through the passenger side door and let the truck warm up for 30 minutes.

System down. No effort to contact anyone for assistance. Got truck 3.5 hrs later than reservation. Truck had check engine light on. Staff dismissed my objections, had to insist on a different truck. Told that majority of trucks had it. Those all fail NYS safety inspection.

I was overcharged.... had a truck for 2 days and was charged for 3.... and 3 days of insurance. They said it was because I brought the truck back after 9am at 9:10. I brought it in at 8:25. When I called to complain they said they would correct everything but it would take 3 days. I will have to check with my credit card company and see. By the way...I was told that I could not get a printed copy of the charges and found the mistake later in an E-mail. George

It was just very busy that day and everyone brought their trucks back at the same time, so there was a parking problem with not enough space and having to maneuver around trucks and other cars.

There was a bit of confusion over where I could return the equipment, and if the location of return could be changed to a closer location. This location was not the closest U-haul. Gina from NY Reservations was excellent in getting us all we needed and explaining options.

Waited at the drop off spot for someone to come like it instructs. No one came so I went inside, no one was in the facility..I had to walk around to the garage to find someone and he just asked for the key and told me I was all set. Didn’t receive any confirmation or anything to assure me that I wouldn’t be responsible for additional charges. I swept out the trailer even though it was filthy when I got it, and I cleaned out the cab even though it wasn’t my garbage

Loading gate was very difficult to lift. Felt like spring was broke. I have rented this type of trailer many times before and equipment poorly maintained

The trailer I rented use beat up. Big dents and paint and scratches all over it. Broken light. I went thru 2 trailer to get that one because they hadn’t been cleaned. The wheel well was cracked and dented and red paint on it.

Online pick up is horrible. Was left stranded after the scanner didn’t pick up image from my license after working at it for over 30 minutes.Ridiculous! And I was still charged!!

I believe his name was Michael, we had a rental for a 10’ truck. It was parked between two trucks so I asked him to move it. He gave me the key and asked me to move the truck that’s in the way. The truck wasn’t cleaned. There was a coffee in it and it was covered in snow which slid off the top onto the windshield while we were driving. Then he changed my contract while he was looking for the key without asking me and tried to put me in a different truck. I realized right away he was trying to cover his mistake since the check engine light was on and the passenger door wouldn’t close all the way and kept pinging on the dashboard to shut it. We were short on time which we paid for a time slot, so we just used the truck quickly and brought it back. 3 different people called me from U-Haul verifying that I returned truck either TR or TM1213. 3 different calls!!! I’m guessing because he didn’t change the contract back?? I only signed one contract so I don’t know how he changed it without me. You gotta find a better guy, I’m pretty sure changing the contract without my permission isn’t legal.

Mileage rate is a bit excessive. The “$20” in town rate ends up costing over $70. While the service is good and the daily rental is necessary and convenient, the cost is a bit high

Clean and no bugs, which is great, but move-in took a literal age. The guy at the front desk couldn’t find my reservation and it took an hour and a half to get it sorted out, although he was cheerful about sorting it out. The units also aren’t very sturdy.

Charged me multiple times for items I didn't have. Took forever with my refund... Horrible experience. Charged me a extra hundred with out telling me for my TYPE of card.... Things that weren't relayed on the phone. I'll got to budget next time and I've already told all my friend to never use your company. Well there was a gentlemen there who assisted me but, but I told him that it looked like someone tried to break into my storage unit he had me take a pic and then asked me if I wanted to be there when they checked the Camara and I said yes and he said he wouldblet the manager know. So then I went back the next week to clear the rest of my stuff out of the storage unit and spoke with the same gentlemen and asked about why no one called me about looking at the Camara he said that he didn't get a chance to see the manager and that he would let him know I said well it don't matter now I'm all moved out

I was disappointed to be offered a storage space to accommodate the 26’ Uhaul truck in a 12’ space after I reserved a 20’. I was luckily able to locate a different place to store my items, however this proved to add unnecessary costly miles to my rental and wasted my, and my movers, time. Better communication in the future for your customers. :-(

This was supposed to be my first storage unit. Online when I booked it never stated it was upper with no stairwell connected. I can’t carry large heavy items up those stairs alone. They offered me a bigger one on the bottom but it would’ve been double the cost. Also the part that really bothered me was the employee walking me to the unit in the 800 had me squeeze through the ladder to get by. What if I was much heavier???!! Isn’t that a fire hazard not putting those things away when not in use?! I ended up asking for my lock refund and insurance refund and leaving

Weird set up. Second floor storage that you need to put a Set rolling stairs to it was Not handicapped accessible!! I walk with a cane and can not walk up stairs! you would need someone to help you with this .

My experience was excellent! The facility is well cared for and the manager, ShaTeke Clark, was very helpful in answering any questions I had throughout the time of rental. I said no to the "Access Hours" convenience only because I am a night owl and being able to access in the middle of the night could be useful as I found myself wanting to put more items in around 1am after coming back from a trip to move my son into a dorm at his college in New Hampshire. But for most individuals this may not be an issue.

I'm not happy that I had insurance, And My Mirror broke, and I was not componsated for the damage, or a refund back on a 10day early leave,no report just an assumption that I broke my well wrapped mirror....Yet another mirror glass table top an two 50 inch t.v were all packed safely, being that I believe it was broken from the other units. .....!Why have insurance when it's not really protection, a Money scam, Not happy Alida Drake!!!!!!

When I went to secure my storage space, he was showing me where the unit was and the door was wide open. When I asked about it he told me it was broken. I had already paid and now find myself looking for alternatives. There was also a couple pieces of small trash items on the floor of the unit which means it wasn't cleaned.

The Manager and his Staff are EXCELLENT!!! However, Having to move a set of stairs on wheels is unacceptable in todays standards. News Flash: Upgrade your facility and give these wonderful employees a modern facility that they deserve and have earned!!!! This facility is extremely OUT DATED!!!!!!!!! Interaction with the facility went well up until the pandemic hit. Once it hit and we started to get behind, the customer service line would direct me to call the facility to set up payment arrangements. But each time I contacted the facility, I was told payment arrangements were not possible, even during a time when everyone was losing money and unable to fend for themselves. This facility took no regard for the struggles of its patrons and profited off of that instead.

My dad died and everything i had was in there pictures that someone is just going to throw out i Was moving on the 1st. So. Moving in was a nightmare. The staff informed my older children that they we “high as f***” when they were assisting them because of a lock that had broke. I needed the large unit, and this was the last one. I was told because of the lock they were going to need to move me to a smaller unit. After I called them up they figured out how to get the lock off and I was able to keep the unit. Not after they had charged me for the smaller unit. Now I have two charged on my account for 2 units. I am being told that it will fall off. I wait the three days and it cleared. I have to go in once again to clear this up. Here comes the next month and I am supposedly set up on auto pay. This is in fact not the case. Because when they were playing hop scotch with my unit they also cancelled this. I go in and I am assured it is now set up again and the 45 dollars on charges they said they will waive. Well here comes the next month and guess what is not set up. Oh yes my auto pay. I just moved all of my things out of the storage because I am being inconvenienced in having to go there every time there needs to be a bill paid or I need to resolve the issue of incompetent staff.

The Employees were helpful. We had a horrible experience with other customers while we were there. A couple was inside screaming and swearing at each other. The female threw a lock across the facility missing my 13 year olds sons head by inches. The staff did apologize for the actions of this couple. My 6 kids were pretty shook up from the incident.
