Employees were great. Very friendly and helpful. The truck on the other hand, I am not sure how well they are maintained but we did have some issues. I left a note on the drivers seat at Double Tap Concealed hoping they would make sure these issues are addressed. The truck did not have very good acceleration. I checked the air filter after picking it up. The filter was VERY dirty. I tapped it on a tire and lots of dirt and debris came out of it. After calling Uhaul Jacksoville, I was assured by a guy that the trucks are maintained every "30 days". I find it hard to believe as dirty as the filter was. After driving on highway to NC I realized the RPM's would rev up to 3000 - 4000 when braking. The RPM's would not drop until I pressed the accelerator again. The A/C also stopped working frequently. After a while it would start again. I am hoping you get this truck in for maintenance before a customer gets stranded on the highway. Thank you. The location of pick up was changed which added almost 30 minutes each way to my drive to get the trailer. Then I get to this location and there is one lady working that refused to get out of her chair and there was 4 people in line. It too almost 45 minutes just too get the opportunity to be waited on. The she was very rude and mumbled so you could not understand her. Once finished I asked about the furniture pads that I paid for and she mumbled grab a bag on the way out the door. Well I later found out that I only got 6 pads. I asked where the trailer was located and she said look for the trailer number on my receipt. I was able to find a gentleman outside to assist. He knew where the trailer was but was unable to lift it to hook it up. Once home and ready to start loading I found damage in the front left corner of the trailer and there was a large hole to the outside in the floor. I tried to plug it with plastic as I has 2000 miles to drive with it. Very unhappy with this location and would not recommend to anyone!!

The transporter had a dim break light and the cab of the truck could have been cleaner. The cost is too high and then they tell you there will be a charge to help you load your vehicle on the transporter after you’ve just paid $700 for the rental.

Be upfront with customers I rented a a car trailer the lady don't tell y'all that it's 24-hour service they ask you when you going to bring it back if I say I'm going to have for 6 hours if I cope past 6 hours they charging for 2 days when technically the thing is good for 24 hours and I reserve it for 24 hours and she still try to charge me for 2 days I had to go on my app and show my previous rental was only be $59 a day

I pulled in and drove up to the drop off lane, I showed the young man how loose the hitch was and he agreed he liked the old hitches where you screwed the tongue down for the appropriate tightness. I was in and out of the drop off in probably 3 minutes. They emailed me my receipt within 5 minutes. Easy peasy, i like this uhaul location, very professional and efficient.

This was not the location of my reservation, original location did not have a truck for me to rent despite my reservation, I had to drive out of my way to another location to rent a truck and back to my reservation location to rent the trailer, no one was able to compensate me for the extra mileage and time spent renting from two locations and returning to two different locations. What’s the point of a reservation if it can’t not be met

Please provide clear messaging about location preferences for picking up equipment. My original reservation was for a location much closer to me and I was called 24hrs before my pickup and told I'd have to drive 30 miles further to pick up the truck and trailer. I rented my equipment nearly 3 weeks prior to pick up and the last minute change caused major travel problems and relocation from my current house to new one. I also had to wait nearly 30 minutes in line to pick up my truck that was reserved.

Very helpful and knowledgable team working on Tuesday morning, when I picked up my truck. This is always a very busy location, but the ladies at the counter were prompt and courteous. The first truck I was assigned reeked of cigarette smoke, but the staff quickly exchanged for another rig, and I was on my way. Same-store dropoff was easy, and it was nice to be offered a paper copy of the receipt, instead of just default paperless. This U-Haul location has helped me out many times - it's ideally situated and always has a good number of vehicles available.

Very unprofessional this was my last minute choice due to my previous reservation not being honored because they had rented all of the trucks out. Went to this establishment and it was chaos with other angry customers got into the truck and got down the road and it was no gas in the truck. I returned it with the same amount and now they are trying to charge me for gas. This is the last time I will be using UHaul so many issues and bad customer service and unprofessional workers.

I had a couple tough experiences. 1st roadside told me to leave my damaged vehicle at your location and then had to fight bc I was being charged for not returning to location I rented it from. Corporate said that it was your district that was pushing back. 2nd I had a box unit and more were added next to mine. Well I guess at install my unit was aggressively bumped and all of my items were strewn about. I am still assessing the damage .

Driving U-Haul pulling car hauler was surprisingly easy. Love the back up to 23’ storage, we unloaded a 20’ U-Haul into unit in 4 hours a lot less than it took to load. Clean and easy parking.

I went to stop the rental of my storage unit there was a few people in the lobby the staff seemed overwhelmed and uninterested in helping the customers. After quite a wait I let the person at the counter know I was canceling my rental unit and returning the truck I rented. They told me they would email me a copy of the receipts. I received a phone call yesterday, asking for payment of the unit, I went back and checked my records and found that I never received a receipt for the unit being canceled and I was charged for the month of June and July.

I was not told that it would take 24 hours before the access code would work. I arrived and tried to use the access code and could not and had to wait for staff member of U-Haul to come outside and use their code to give me access. Also the map of the storage facility and the fact that there are two different ones was not explained in advance and I did not know how to get to my unit until I asked where it was and then was told I could have a map.

First of all, I am Deaf person. Secondly, the staff was okay. It was Danielle Jenning. Third, my uhaul storage was my first time. The purpose of storage for my moving in the unit of apartment. When the paperwork of storage was done and ready, I asked if my unit of storage is outside of the facility office, the hand of Danielle signaled me out. But she did not tell me the location of storage exactly or the address of storage. Then i was in the car with the trailer and showed the paper of storage to the other staff outside of the same facility office. The hand of man showed me with his point finger to the entrance. Somehow the code of access did not work two times before entering and after leaving out of storage. I was given the new code of access for the second time as Danielle was out for helping to type the code number at the entrance. The second code of entrance still did fail two times when i was ready to get out of the entrance. The other staff help me to open it. Two days later I was checking the app of my uhaul storage and found out that my storage was in the different location and it was interior and the unit of storage also is different. Meanwhile my things were moving and putting in my apt, I requested my storage moved out with a photo of storage unit number on my app of uhaul. However the process of approval took too long for receiving the confirmation of storage move out after two weeks passed. I was tired to call thru the relay service. After everything was done, I do not think I will use the Uhaul storage again in the future.

My experience wasn't good at all after I found out later that I didn't get 418 like we had spoke about after the lady showed me one in the back the size and then there was one in the front the same size so I told her I wanted the one in the front. I felt more comfortable with being up front. By this being my 1st experience when she showed me the unit it was up and open as well as the one up front so I didn't know that they hadn't closed it out. I thought she they were up and open they were available. I didn't realize the other lady had given me 416 instead of 418. I didn't put my stuff in there until a week later and the gate was open. I swept it out and put my stuff in. I was having a problem where it wouldn't go all the way over so I pulled it where I could put the lock in not knowing it had to be forced all the way over. I had a bad feeling. For some reason the storage kept coming to my mind. But I'm thinking no one would bother the storage right in the front. When I went back something said see if it will come up with out removing the lock. I was so hurt because a lot of my items were gone. I have insurance but I didn't think I would have to worry about it being there. How I found out I was in the wrong unit when I tried to get in with my code it wouldn't work and that's when they told me I was in the wrong unit. I have learned that for now on even if your speaking with someone make sure they give you what you are talking about. I lass a lot that wasn't mine that I have to pay for. You need to have the people show you how to lock the storage and they need to be oiled. The lady came out after I showed her the lock and had to put force behind it to get it all the way over. When I came back another time her and someone else was out there and she said someone else did there storage like you and she added another lock to it. When I talked to the manager she was saying that they had been cleaning out storage units and putting stuff in the garbage. But I told her some item were taken not all. Every time she said something I still had something to say due to what she was saying didn't make sense. It was over 5000.00 worth of men items name brand real taken and my Christmas presents taken (clothes and shoes). It made me feel like it was the staff. With the lock on and at the front of the gate. What's really going on. The males staff was helpful and the young lady was helpful but the manager was trying to sweep it under the rug. The lady that helped me in the beginning I haven't seen her anymore. Her mother was ill. Care more about your customers making sure they know how to open and close the storage. They did a walk through when I left it should have been done when I came back then it wouldn't have been no confusion. I moved my stuff that was left into 416 and out of 418 then I reythat they are empty when they are closed. But I only seen open and empty. So that's how I thought it would be.

It took 4 emails to confirm my storage was closed as I was contacted for LATE FEES. I did an online move out and was still contacted. I left the unit OPEN. I WASN'T CONTACT ABOUT IT BEING OPEN OR UNLOCKED. HOW SECURE IS THAT. THAT TELLS ME IT'S ONLY FOR MONEY NOT ABOUT SECURITY . I did try to reach facility 4xs. It's a joke at this point.

Had reservation, when i arrived from a 400 mile drive was advised there was no reservation or space. The employee attitude made an aggravating situation worse. acted as if i was a annoyance to even inquire and i should have never even come there. After repeated polite prodding about suggestions where i could go, there was zero attempt to help,(i have other u haul rentals in the area) another employee looked and immediately found a spot. Mistakes can happen some basic customer training be helpful.

Rental agent treated me like an annoyance and seemed to try many ways to discourage me from renting and to just go away. Seemed the faster I just left the better her life would be. Others in your office seemed to recognize and were helpful. We have several places rented at this facility and a nearby one as well, we don’t need bubbly “ happy to see you” treatment, just a basic helpful attitude. The person seemed competent, maybe not aware, suggest some customer service awareness training would be helpful.

They refunded me my storage on the 10th of march for no reason. And then after randomly refunding me they have me no time to move my vehicle, then towed it to a tow yard. They also towed my other car all on the 10th , i talked to corporate and they told me I would have time to move my vehicle and a police escort will be headed out to walk me to my rv stop. When they arrived they acted like they didnt know any thing and arrested me like i was a problem, all while I had corporate on the phone.

The unit itself was fine the grounds were fine the lighting could’ve been much better especially because of the area that the storage facility is in. After dark there’s a lot of commotion in the surrounding area and that really should be a paid attention to as far as Security goes and feeling comfortable being there after dark. The biggest thing that stands out and the reason that I will continue to use U-Haul storage or just U-Haul in general is the staff at that location. They were amazing. They were friendly and fun but always professional. They remembered me and waved hello when I would come in this alone made me feel like a part of the group. I felt a sense of ownership even though I was just renting. As strange as this may sound I actually felt good about going to or leaving my storage unit. Everyone was helpful from the front desk staff to some of the guys in the shop. I even left the door open to my unit one day when I was in such a hurry and wasn’t thinking. They called me right away and were so kind to take care of it until I could get there just to make sure my things were secure. This group at the U-Haul on Phillips and University deserves five stars plus !!!

My unit was infested with roaches and spiders and everyone there failed to do anything about it. When I filed and insurance claim they told them the units have pest control which is impossible. The assistant manager opened my unit and saw for himself the infestation and still failed to do anything.

Staff poorly trained. Had me driving in circles to find my unit and they told me wrong information numerous times. Also, my vehicle was returned on full and they tried to charge me for 2 gallons of gas! Thankfully I asked for my receipt before I left. You can not directly contact that location either. I moved my stuff into the storage. The area was way too tight for the moving truck to get through. Also, I tried to sell back boxes that I bought from U-Haul.. the new guy tried to help, but couldn’t get it. Then Cedric hopped in and tried his very best to help me. Then the rude GM made a smart comment about me having to leave and get the receipt.. mind you, I purchased these boxes online and had a order code. Extremely ridiculous and a waste of my time. I will never recommend or use U-Haul again because of the trash experience I have had.

Their communication at the customer counter is awful. Said I was lined up with moving help but failed to tell me the customer I needed to go to a website to reserve workers. This is a very poorly run operation. I will never use this place or recommend UHaul.

My unit, 527, was very difficult to close the latch. I noticed several dents above the latch like someone beat it with a hammer. I got it closed but almost asked for another unit. If you could grind open the hole The arch slides into future customers won’t have a problem. Thanks.

Went in with a reservation come to find out that they gave it to someone else then put us in another unit and charged $30 dollars more ..... called customer service. The first gentlemen that I talked to was very helpful then he transferred me to another department the lady was rude wasn’t helpful at all

Huge inconvenience and annoyance to day having my truck and trailer canceled for being 30 min late. Had to go across town for another only to return to that location to get my stuff out of the storage.

The customer service was so bad if I didn’t absolutely need storage and uhaul at that moment I would have left and went anywhere else. The manager was rude and impersonal. The storage area was dark creepy and unlit, I can’t believe I even paid my money.

The staff does not make customers a priority. The one girl is super rude. She will ask you what you need and then go help someone else - she did this to me twice. The first time I stood in line, when I needed help returning my truck she walked outside with me, then said “I need to get the form and I will be right back”. She went in to help other people and when I asked her if she was going to come back to help me she said well I have to help these people in line first, and I said I already waited for 30 minutes in that line to be helped. I had to wait another 20 minutes for someone (a guy to help me). Forget trying to call to ask 1 question, I was immediately put on hold for 10 Minutes before I could even say hello or ask my question. I had to call back 20 times before someone answered the phone, thankfully it was a manager who was able to answer my question to close out my unit. I will not be returning to this facility.

For the over priced cost of the storage unit, you should be able to have 24 hour access. Miss Ashley was fantastic! She deserves a raise! Always going out of her way to make you feel welcome!!

I have rented a storage unit at this location for fifteen years. This positive experience was highlighted by attentive staff and immaculate condition of facilities. I cancelled the unit after being locked inside storage area for a half hour .Tried remote given by manager and pressed 2 at same gate then went to other gate.No luck.Pressed intercom also.Called office # Bur calls were forwarded.Poor attitude ans no apologies.Blamed the customer!

Do not count on anything being clean after keeping it here. The rat poison keeps the rats away, but roaches and spiders were the problem. Overall experience was as to be expected.

The reason for getting a storage for my truck was to be able to get my truck out anytime I needed it. However for 30 straight days the remote clicker wouldn't work. Left after my 30 days was up

Daniel was incredibly helpful early in the morning. He was the only one there and successfully helped myself and two other customers at the same time all with a smile on his face.
