I didn’t see the interior of the location since the guy in the lot stopped me from having to find a space for the trailer. He walked over, said “sir, I will take care of this”, unhooked the trailer and that everything was in order and I would be sent an email with the final paperwork. It was the easiest thing ever… and I didn’t have to back that trailer up!

The van I rented had alignment issues. It was swaying all over the road...pulling to the left and right. VERY DANGEROUS!!! The lady Gwen said that she noted it to my account, FALSE...I called the 800 number they said she never noted it.

Can I just say that this moving process has been absolutely HORRIBLE until we got to the Jefferson St facility!!! Saturday we picked up from Bridgeport Ct n that young lady was completely useless and very RUDE, it’s like she couldn’t be bothered with answering any questions I had and told me to call the CS 800 number and they’ll help me…..REALLY? You definitely need to screen your employees better! However - the boys at 25 Jefferson St in Stamford Ct should all be commended, in special KENNY (I hope that was his name) - he was kind, informative, knowledgeable, had a beautiful smile the entire time and the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE skills!! I’m a manager in CS so I know a GREAT employee when I see one!!! The other two young men who took care of us on Sunday morning also went above and beyond!!! We needed another storage unit and the young man w glasses was so kind as to give us a quick tour of the different units available and asked all the right questions to make sure our 2nd DAY of moving went smoothly!! He noticed my husband was a little stressed out and was quick to make a few jokes and get him to laugh and this helped immensely!! The 3rd young man had long hair and he was also extremely attentive, informative and very professional - he made sure we were ok at the end of the day & made returning the equipment and getting all the paperwork out smoothly!! You have THREE AMAZING young men working for you who clearly take pride in themselves and their work!!! Thank you!!!

I had a fantastic experience renting a U-Haul truck thanks to Brittany! She was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, making the rental process smooth and easy. Brittany went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed for my move and even provided some helpful tips. The U-Haul truck was clean, reliable, and exactly what I needed. Due to different life circumstances, I had a varying number of storage units in the Stamford Uhaul storage facility for over 6 years! The staff there were always so wonderful; friendly, helpful and accommodating, and the building was convenient to get to, as well as clean and easily accessible whenever I needed to add or remove anything to my storage units. Through many life changes, it was always a comfort to know my stored items were in good hands and under a watchful eye at the Stamford Uhaul Storage facility. Thank you!

Let them know how to turn on the interior lights. There was no switch next to the light on the roof. Staff was courteous and professional. Did not feel rushed. Return was very easy. Simply returned my key and was emailed my receipt.

Make sure tire pressure is checked before each vehicle goes out - I had to top-off one tire, which was no big deal for me, but it struck me as being an important oversight. Other than that it was a fast, simple and easy process. The van was great - clean and perfect for the job.

The staff was somewhat helpful. They gave me the wrong key. The vehicle was in a dark location and I could not see. The app did not work for the damage on the vehicle. The vehicle damage should already be on the form.

Luis Santos, the U-Haul agent agent I dealt with at both pick-up and drop-off was exceptional - super helpful. Made sure I had the right moving supplies, organized alternatives when an item was out of stock and just made the whole process easy and stress free.

The lady who checked me in was absolutely terrible and rude. She was annoyed from the moment I came in and was unwelcoming. She was unhelpful and they failed to provide my reserved equipment, saying they needed to save the ones they had for other reservations…she was not helpful in finding another solution. After about 40 minutes of rude customer service, they realized they had an extra in inventory and the lady said, “take it and get out.” Definitely will not be going back there again. Extremely rude.

The location was great, with great employees that were very helpful and customer service-oriented. My recommendation for Uhaul generally: recently you’ve been relentless in putting the burden on the customer with automated services to personally inspect the vehicle, to upload their own documents, etc. Your rental business is becoming very impersonal as a result. Additionally, you are really “nickel @ dime-ing” your customers. You now charge a fee of $30 fee for failing to return an absolutely full tank of gas, in ADDITION to charging extra-premium prices for replacing the fuel? And now you charge $20 to drop-off at night? Other businesses are looking for ways to improve their customer service and show they care. Uhaul is doing the opposite, making rentals so self service, more work, and more expensive. Especially when customers usually have a reason when they don’t top off the gas, to levy a $30 fee, so much more than the rental, in addition to the inflated gas price, is uncaring and incredibly greedy. It also shows that Uhaul will charge customers any additional fees it can, as long as it’s not worried about competition.

I specifically asked for a street level 5x5x9 and I was shown a 5x2x9 (a triangle room)And I ended up with a 3rd floor unit with a leaking roof... there was water every where! Absolutely terrible

there was only 3/4 of a tank of gas when i took possession, not 7/8 as described. I was charged a $25 cleaning fee when only a small amount of dust at the door edge which took no more than 5 seconds to blow out with a leaf blower. My bill was padded and inflated unfairly. The vehicle was in fine shape except that the cargo door was a bit wonky - its overall action wasn't very smooth and the last foot or so closing was difficult, often taking 2-4 tries to get it down to where it could be latched. That said, the staff at this location (Licby, Gwen and Jack) were very pleasant to deal with. Most of my interaction was with Licby who gave great customer service at pick-up and drop-off.

No elevator, single bay for you to unload cargo was taken for 2 hours so we had to carry heavy stuff thru railing. Most inconvenient storage facility i ever experienced.

The only units for rent were on the top level, and the elevator it was not working. This loan elevator apparently has issues quite often, as it is very old I am told. I would go out of my way to tell anyone who knows of the U-Haul storage facility to not use it. In 90° heat that is unfair to make people carry items upstairs. And I pay $160 a month for this unit. Now that I’ve offered this feedback I would like to hear from U-Haul on what you will do to credit me.

Difficult to park. Non U-haul staff members often waiting outside the facility soliciting work or sitting on the loading dock and have had to ask staff to ask them to move. Dumbwaiter elevator doors cumbersome. Often times other individuals did not know to close the exterior doors to make elevator available to others. We moved to another facility that was very well lit, plenty of parking, modern elevators and non-profit pricing so we were able to get more space at a lower price.

The staff were so helpful and very accommodating to our needs. We arrived to the storage facility later than planned due to traffic. We only had 1 1/2 hours to unload a 10 foot truck. Although we ran late the staff stayed open for an extra 20 minutes to accommodate our moving needs. That was an extraordinary act of concern and support for a customer! I am amazed! U-Haul Stamford is the best team ever!!

The Facilities manager who called me on Saturday afternoon was rude, impolite, unprofessional and a straight out little pr..k. (I am being kind here) The insolent little sh.t threatened me after his staff had let me know we could leave items next to the "Re-use Centre" as it was full of Uhaul boxes and equipment. The manager gave me a mouthful and told me the "Re-use" centre is closed and that the staff had no right to give me permission to leave any thing for Re-use. He instructed me that he was giving me until then end of the weekend to move the stuff shared for "Re-Use" and said he was noting the warning in the system as Uhaul do not dispose of belongings on behalf of clients. On arrival the next day there was one item left in the "Re-use" centre, I proceeded to clean out the storage unit and placed the left over item in to the locker. I then informed the Staff at the centre that Junk Luggers would be arriving in the morning to haul away the remaining items and asked what arrangement I could make to leave the Storage locker open for them. I was told that the items would be safe as the premises is under 24 hour surveillance and that they would put a red tag on the unit to seal it, that I did not have to lock the unit. The next day when Junk Luggers arrived they confirmed that the unit was locked with a red uhaul tag, but the contents of the locker did not match the inventory list I had shared with them. In short the staff appear to be nothing more than common criminals who helped themselves to the contents of the storage locker. If the staff did not commit the cold blood theft of the contents of the locker, you have a serious security problem on the premises. Lastly a staff member called me the next day wanting to charge me for taking my own lock and not returning it to them when I gave notice on the locker.

Construction is currently ongoing at the location and there is only one access dock. People who are not actively loading or unloading should not be able to park and wait.

I drove an hour to the facility, with my car full of stuff, and Uhaul would not let me into my unit. I had to drive back home with my car full. (They were painting the floors.) It was 3 days later that I was allowed in. They were rude unsympathetic and unhelpful.

The staff at this U-Haul on the date and time of my move-in deserve recognition! This could have been an average review, and they made it Excellent instead. When I got to this facility, I had reserved a storage unit. The staff informed me that the elevators were broken in an extremely kind and empathetic manner and that I would unfortunately have to carry my stuff up the back stairwell 3 flights to the 3rd floor where my storage unit was. They compensated me for this graciously and more than fairly and were extremely empathetic, sensitive, and kind about it throughout the entire process. Even as I was waiting on them to work through my situation with me, they were continuing this behavior with each and every customer that I saw walk in that day. This staff deserves recognition! This is the type of customer service that makes a company and provides a good name for a company, especially during times like these. U-Haul has provided me with great optimism and reason to be a long time customer and I can assure this company that the benefit of a long time customer like me with referrals because of service like this will far outweighs the compensation that was provided due to inadequate facilities to provide easy access to the storage unit when unloading a truck. Thank you U-Haul! I want to personally say thank you and happy new year to each of the staff working that day, you all deserve great credit and recognition for what you did for me and please know that this does not go unnoticed and means a lot. The staff there was amazing. As someone who has experienced a series of tragedies over the last year, I cannot explain how heartwarming it is to have staff that isn't just professional, but kind and attentive, when you are moving and/or storing your life due to unforeseen circumstances. This is what is sorely needed. Jose and his people define what the experience should be for storage. Not "you are lucky to have us for storage", but "we are grateful to have you as a client." Would highly recommend for anyone.

Actually disgusting and the building is going to collapse. The elevator broke and required manual closing of doors. Please rebuild this place ground up. Literally drags the whole company down. I got the storage unit for free through a cross country deal and paid for a different companies storage just so I didn't have to use this place.

Joese Sanchez and the head female manager there are “WOW” I have had the worse experience with every storage company but these two I don’t even have the words for it. They made me feel like a member of their own family. The service,the attention to detail, the passion to help me and listen to me was incredible and that head woman manger is GREAT like DOPE.Every time she sees me she gives me a hug. I was going through a divorce and a separation from my daughter that daily hug made my day and she had no idea how healing it was. I wonder if she even knows she hugs me.She is just great. The level of service I got from there I know for a fact they didn’t acquire that from Uhaul it came from somewhere else. Jose Sanchez Is an absolute Angel.I don’t even want to leave Uhaul. I have told a lot of my friends to go there.There was a time I couldn’t get access to my clothes. The storage was closed by the city for nearly 4 months. I had no clothes to wear to go to my interview and they could not let me in at all.It what a tough situation and I needed to get to that job interview and my suits were in that storage. I don’t know how her and Jose pulled it off I got a rebate and I was able to buy a suit and tie for that interview and I got the job. Bravo to your team seriously.I love those two

The outdoor space is not easy. There are only 3 bays to back into and not a traditional parking lot. There were several times that I was unable to stop to access my storage unit due to lack of parking
