Too many misleading hidden charges. Rented truck for $19.95. Drove 32 miles, not Kms. Booked for 5 hours and returned in 3. Put 11liters of fuel. Fuel level was exactly when I picked it up. My bill was over $80. No credit for fuel purchased. I found these charges for short in town run not fair. This is my 2nd rental with this site. Problems with that one as well. I will not be renting from UHAUL in the future. There are other options. Service personnel were non caring.all is too easy for them to charge whatever with the App. Gilles

When a person returns a trailer after hours, you should have some type of drop box that has a lock on it so people can drop off the extensions cords/plugs that connect the trailer to the vehicle instead of wrapping it up around the ball hitch

1. Having to download the UHaul App on my phone, while in the actual location, was very inconvenient. It was not an easy process and took way too long. Several people in there at the same time as us were having the same problems. 2. The vehicle was clean, but we did have one small issue. When leaving my home, I started the van but it would not move. I had the gas pedal all the way to the floor and it was barely coasting. I had to turn the vehicle off and on again twice before it would work properly. 3. The staff at this location were friendly and helpful. However, it was obvious they were understaffed as one lady was trying to serve half a dozen people at the same time.

I had the same problem with no internet on my phone at my midnight drop off. Thankfully there was a key drop box so I left a note on the dash instead. Then, when I was charged for my expected extra kilometres, they sent me an email labelled receipt, not invoice. You label it an invoice and I will understand that I need to make a payment. Label it receipt and I will assume UHaul charged my card automatically, like they have on other rental occasions.

Terrible place Terrible customer service truck was in horrible shape gas was less then half I showed pictures he said I need to put at half are pay for it and walked away while trying to log in online because apparently the only way they can rent you a truck needs lots work shouldn't be on the road

you are way too understaffed at this location. Many customers waiting ahead of us were very frustrated waiting for one person to do everything while a line of people wait. Often no one to be found at store while he is out in yard . Plus during drop off, computer was down. your UHAUL app link is very frustrating to use and no drop off icon on app could be found. Overall very frustrating experience as also evident by many people ahead of as as well

The trailer they assigned me was filthy, greasy and no attempt to sweep out. I hooked onto a cleaner unit and left. Nobody even noticed. Service was slow and unorganized. Yard was a mess. Moving blankets were heaped in a pile and disgusting. Poor location all around. Do better U-haul.

Clean your trailers. The enclosed trailer I was given had dried vomit or rancid meat inside and smelled horrible. I didn’t notice until getting to my destination. It took over an hour to even get the trailer, even with a scheduled pickup. Very unorganized and dirty. The employee at drop off told me “too bad” and charged me for an extra day. I’ve filed a complaint. The most unprofessional location I’ve ever used.

Had to argue with attendant because she said the trailer I rented was not in inventory. In fact it was there thanks to the fellow attendant who was just showing up for his shift. I feel that if you reserve an item , it should be there at pickup

Customer service was horrendous!! Sandeep I think her name was didn’t even acknowledge me standing there and was typing something for over five minutes. Gestures to the door with my key and said it’s out there in the lot leaving me to wander around. I saw damage on the vehicle and the app upload wouldn’t work so I went back in for help and she had left. I stood there a long time and ended up yelling so the guy in the shop to help me. I was given a very rough vehicle - even the check oil image was on screen- with only 1/4 tank of gas!!! Upon returning I once again had a long wait for acknowledgment with nobody else in the building. I will NEVER be back. Horrible experience!!

Stop with the app!!! The app is what made this so horrible! I shouldn’t have to be the one taking photos of the truck and making sure it’s clean . Had to wait at the counter for 20 mins because only one employee on shift. Truck had beer cans and shoes inside also. Stop trying to make this self check out and bring back human contact!

The Uhaul was exactly what we needed and we appreciated the size of the truck (15-foot) for moving a 1 bedroom apartment. However, we received the truck with just enough gas to get to the gas station and were not reimbursed for returning it with a 3/4 tank. Next time I will be asking for a different truck before taking it off the lot.

The whole rental process was an awful disaster. I ordered a 10-foot van at 8.30 two days before. When I arrived there on time, there were other customers and only one staff. I waited 20 mins and when it turned to me, she told me I can do this rental steps on uhaul app (She could tell me when i arrive here so we could save time). And uhaul app needs only credit card to finish the last step- payment. I only took a debit card with me, so we had to start all over again on her machine. She could do that on her desk at first or she could check if I had credit card or not before she asked me to do it on uhaul app. I finally rented my van at 9.10, the process was so long, 40 mins. The van is clean and in good condition, that's fine, and that's the reason why I always like choosing uhaul as my first choice. When I returned it in the afternoon, that lady told me she was too busy right now so she couldn't check the van's condition and returned me the deposit. You can't believe it she asked me to go back to uhaul centre one hour later. My house is far from there, so she means I stayed somewhere for one or two hours. Okay I did that, I had a meal at new sudbury centre, and when i went back, she told me the system was down, which means I had to come back again tomorrow. And she said she would give me a phone call or message after my remaining balance was calculated. I had to go again and again cuz I was using a debit card. I had to be there with my physical card, but why can't all this be finished at the time i returned the van, I didn't understand it at all. The funniest part came, on the second day I waited till 3.00 pm, and I didn't receive any phone calls or messages. So I gave a phone call to uhaul, I waited so long to talk to an agent and finally transfer to staff at this berry down centre, because the phone number on google map about this berry down centre is the whole nation's official number not their own unique phone numbers! A guy answered and he said he never knew yesterday a lady saying giving me a phone call or something, which means the lady didn't even tell it to the staff working next day and the returning deposit can be actually done starting from this morning! At 4.30 pm, I finally got my deposit back and everything was OK, with THREE TIMES going there. I was so exhausted.

Pick up location change to Madison Ave...when we got there the truck was not there...call uhaul and the found us a truck at another location ...if you change the location please make sure there is a truck available

Well my only issue with this location is i picked up / ordered the truck on the same day. However it was not stated for returns it needed to be returned via the app or be charged a "convenience fee" of 20 for a real person to take back the truck? How does that make sense? I wanted a person to take back the keys so he can look at the vehicle, confirm mileage and fuel level to avoid being overcharged. The person was nice enough to waive it but what a headache because it wasn't communicated to me

I was repeatedly directed to use the app for pick-up or return. This was not my wish. I was, thankfully, able to do these transactions in person and the staff were accomodating, despite me returning the truck with only a few minutes before the location closed.

Customer service was not friendly upon pick up of truck.! Seat belt did not work in the truck. When I returned the truck the representative refused to check me out, she wanted me to use the app. I informed her I did not want to use the app and she proceeded to be not helpful till I insisted she check me out. I will never return to that location and will not recommend anyone go there! Terrible and very unfriendly staff!!

Trailer door was left open when picked up - rain had wetted interior Passenger side rear light/turning signal working intermittently Passenger side forward top corner of trailer is leaking - some contents were wet due to rain during transport Driver side rear wheel - possible slow leak - tire was low after loading trailer - had to find a air station to inflate

The person checking out the uhaul put the gas half full when I picked up uhaul and it was just a little over the quarter mark, so I was charged extra for this person mistake!

One of the trailers at the Barrydowne site in Sudbury ON trailer number UV 1842 A had a broken wire on it, so we had to get assigned a different trailer, the employees should have checked the equipment before assigning a trailer to some one, but other than that it was good

Attendant was offensive and untruthful and tried to charge an additional amount claiming the can was very dirty. She came with a leaf blower to clean. It wasn't the case and I removed two small pieces of carpet and a quick sweep. Attempted cash grab that I have never had before from U-Haul. First time renting at this site and will be last. U-Haul on Notre Dame is the best place in this part of town. Ignore this Barrydowne site. Showed person dirty seats and she claimed they "clean" with a lint brush. Rude and offensive and uncooperative. Tried to make me walk all the way back to the counter inside instead of sending me email receipt.

I got the uhaul with no gas in it, the low fuel warning was on and was told I’d be charged if I didn’t bring it back at quarter tank. The back of the uhaul was dirty and look like there was blood all splattered on the wall. Front desk was not helpful and told me to go find someone in the parking lot for help and I walked around twice and there was no one. Overall a horrible experience!

Truck had multiple issues. Doors were hard to open and close. Side view mirrors were broken. Lock did not have right key to lock back door/shutter. Booked 2 appliance dollies - did not recieve them when getting keys. Was told does not matter if I book them and that I can go reserve one at a different location.

When asked to take photos of the truck before leaving i never thought to get low and deeply inspect the bumpers. when i came back after having the truck for a few short hours (i moved one street over) they said we hit the front bumper to the point of it almost falling off. We were confused because we didnt, but we noticed the front bumper had been zip-tied from underneath. We told him we didnt zip tie the bumper so it obviouslly wasnt us but he argued and insisted it would have a sticker on it if it happened before us. luckily we continued to argue long enough that his colleague came and said "oh yeah, that was from the people this morning and i forgot to sticker it". So i almost paid for their mistaken. Even then he didnt apologize or let us go, he said he will "talk to his manager and call me if i owe them money". As a young woman this honestly felt so helpless and almost like a scam. i was so shocked and was begging him to pull up the parking lot security camera so we can zoom in on the truck and prove it was like that when i left. A warning to future people to get on their hands and knees and fully inspect under the truck, which i never wouldve thought to do prior.
